  • 축제식 양식장 호지의 노령화를 방지하기 위해 수차를 이용하여 호지에 폭기 및 순환작용을 활성화하여 수질과 저질을 개선하는 방법이 널리 사용되고 있다(Peterson et al., 2000). 본 연구에서는 수차의 순환기능에 대한 수치모형인 Pond Dynamic Model(PDM)을 Graphic User Interface(GUI )를 이용하여 손쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 상용화(PDM 1.0)하였다(강$^1$,2001; 강$^2$, 2001; 강$^3$, 2001). Modeling Paddlewheel-Driven Circulation in a Culture Pond (축제식 양식장에서 수차에 의한 순환 모델링)

  • Paddlewheel-driven circulation in a culture pond has been simulated based on the depth integrated 2 dimensional hydrodynamic model. Acceleration by paddlewheel is expressed as shaft force divided by water mass discharged by paddlewheel blades. The model has been calibrated and applied to culture ponds as following steps:- i) The model predicted velocities at every 10 m along longitudinal direction from the paddlewheel. The model was calibrated comparing the results with the measured values at mass correction factor $\alpha$ and dimensionless eddy viscosity constant $\gamma$, respectively, in a range $15\~20$ and 6. ii) Wind shear stress was simulated under conditions of direction $0^{\circ}C,\;90^{\circ}C\;and\;180^{\circ}C$ and speed 0.0, 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5 m/s. Change rate of current speed was <$1\%$ at wind in parallel or opposite direction to the paddlewheel-driven jet flow, while $4\%$ at orthogonal angle. iii) The model was then applied to 2 culture ponds located at the Western coast of Korea. The measured and predicted currents for the ponds were compared using the regression analysis. Analysis of flow direction and speed showed correlation coefficients 0.8928 and 0.6782 in pond A, 0.8539 and 0.7071 in pond B, respectively. Hence, the model is concluded to accurately predict circulation driven by paddlewheel such that it can be a useful tool to provide pond management strategy relating to paddlewheel operation and water quality.

  • The endobronchial presentation of Hodgkin's disease is defined as : 1) having the histological features of Hodgkin's disease, irrespective of the biopsy site, and 2) a bronchoscopic visualization of an endobronchial tumor at the time of the initial diagnosis. The presentation of Hodgkin's disease, as an endobronchial lesion, is very uncommon, with only a few isolated cases having been reported, and no accurate incidence is available. An endobronchial lymphoma must be considered when patients present with an endobronchial tumor, as careful staging and treatment may lead to a cure and avoid of the need for major surgery. Also, when patients, with a known lymphoma, present with respiratory symptoms, they should be considered for a bronchoscopy to avoid understaging of the disease. Herein, a case of endobronchial Hodgkin's disease, in a 20-year-old woman, is reported.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to identify the gardening method of Mus${\bar{o}}$ Soseki by looking into his works. Through this research, life and religious values of Soseki were studied, which gave a better understanding of the garden architect as an individual and seeker of religious truth. Among his works, the most widely known-four ponds, Eiho-ji, Erin-ji, Saiho-ji and Tenryu-ji were studied. The research found that based on the Zen of Buddhism, Soseki symbolized various philosophical ideas into space structures. In addition, through two gardening components, stone buildings and tributaries, he specifically materialized related themes. An absolute religious aesthetics of the creator could be found in the stone buildings that expresses the world of Buddhism and the Chinese letter 'Sim'(heart)-shaped tributaries. By experimenting new method away from a Chinese-style Japanese garden which was widely popular during his time, Soseki devised a garden as residential quarters of a high priest that can be set aside entirely for Zen-study, which became to represent Japanese garden style. If Soseki's gardening method had not been adopted, Japanese gardens could not have been developed as a personal garden that contains symbolic concepts. Unfortunately, in this study, to think of another Zen monk and Mus${\bar{o}}$ Soseki did not study is to compare. also the study on how another Zen monk and Mus${\bar{o}}$ Soseki's compare has to be continued.
