Geochemical study was conducted to elucidate the origin of fluorine (F) distributed in the rocks within the four areas of Yongyudo and Sammokdo, Incheon, which have been used as the source area of land reclamation for the $3^{rd}$ and $4^{th}$ stage construction sites of the Incheon International Airport. The main geology of the study area is Triassic biotite granite. Fluorine is contained at high levels in biotite granite, mylonite, and dykes (andesite and, basaltic-andesite). Furthermore, the higher concentrations of fluorine in the biotite granite can be contributed to fluorite. The results of microscopic analyses reveal that the fluorite was mostly observed as small vienlets together with quartz. This features support that fluorite was naturally formed due to the secondary process of hydrothermal fluids. In addition, fluorine was investigated to be highly enriched in a large amount of mica within the veins. In the case of mylonite, a high levels of fluorine was contributed to a large amount of sericite. The sericites contained in the mylointe, differently to those of the biotite granite, filled the micro-fractures of quartz formed as a result of mylonitization and included small cataclastic quartz grains. This indicates that fluorine was naturally enriched due to the alteration of hydrothermal fluids filling fractured zones formed by mylonitization. Consequently, the results of petrological and mineralogical study confirm that the fluorine distributed in the rocks within the Yongyudo and Sammokdo originated naturally.

In this study, material properties of steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete (FRHSC) with the compressive strength of about 120MPa were modeled. Steel fiber content of 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% was considered as experimental variable. First of all, compressive strength tests were carried out to determine compressive characteristics of concrete, and compressive stress-strain curves were modeled. For conventional concrete with moderate compressive strength, the stress-strain curves are in the form of parabolic curves, but in the case of high strength concrete reinforced with steel fiber, the curves increase linearly in the form of the straight line. In addition, to understand the tensile properties of FRHSC, the crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) test was performed, and the tensile stress-CMOD curve was calculated through inverse analysis. When the steel fiber content increased from 1.0% to 1.5%, there was a significant difference of tensile strength. However, when the amount of steel fiber was increased from 1.5% to 2.0%, there was no significant difference of tensile strength, which might result from the poor dispersion and arrangement of steel fiber in concrete.

This study was raised by the need to explain why the problems related to private parks have been sustained. In order to identify the fundamental cause, it is necessary to analyze the historical and institutional context of private parks. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the direction of change in the private park system and to derive the characteristics of the system as it currently appears. The framework based on the historical institutionalism was divided into the Park Act (1967-1980), the former of Urban Park Act (1980-1993) and the late of Urban Park Act (1993-2005), and each was assessed using the analysis elements of the institutional environment and the outcomes of implementation. The analysis elements interpreted the path dependency, in which the inertia toward the choice of institution is maintained, despite the change in the environment. The institution took a special form of 'negative systeme' and secured profitability by expanding the types of park facilities while mitigating the criteria. Additionally, the designation of private park promoters as a landowner acted as a means of compensating those with property rights to unexecuted urban parks. The expectation effectiveness on urban park creation was insufficient and the environmental regulatory functions were weakened. Thus, historically, the private park system in Korea has experienced an 'institutional decoupling' as the purpose of the system and the results of actual outcomes are not consistent.
The purpose of the study is to develop a questionnaire that examines unskeptical attitudes in scientific inquiry context. The questionnaire items were developed through literature research, expert review, and statistical analyses for validity and the differences in scores were identified by gender and tracks. A total of 363 high school students participated in the study. To explore the validity evidence of items, the Rasch analysis and the reliability of internal consistency were performed, and the two-way ANOVA was performed to compare the scores of the unskeptical attitudes between gender and academic track. Self-reporting and Likert-scaling 23 items were developed to measure unskeptical attitudes in scientific inquiry context. The items were developed in the sub-domain of scientific inquiry: 'questioning and hypothesis generating,' 'experiment designing,' and 'explaining and interpreting.' Second, the validity and reliability of the unskeptical were identified in a rigorous method. The validity of items were identified by multi-dimensional partial score model analysis through the Rasch model, and all 23 items were found to be fit to model. Various reliability evidences were also found to be appropriate. It was found that there were no significant differences of unskeptical attitude score between the gender and academic track except one comparison. The developed questionnaire could be used to check an unskeptical attitude in the course of scientific inquiry and to compare the effects of scientific inquiry classes.
In order to analyze hydraulic characteristics of discharge coefficient, hydraulic jump height, and hydraulic jump length, accompanied sediment transport, in the under-flow type vertical lift gate, the hydraulic model experiment and dimensional analysis were performed. The correlations between Froude number and hydraulic characteristics were schematized according to the presence and absence of sediment transport; the correlation of hydraulic characteristics and non-dimensional parameters was analyzed and multiple regression formulae were developed. In the hydraulic characteristics accompanied the sediment transport, by identifying the aspect different from the case that the sediment transport is absent, we verified that it is necessary to introduce variables that can express the characteristics of sediment transport. The multiple regression equations were suggested and each determination coefficient appeared high as 0.749 for discharge coefficient, 0.896 for hydraulic jump height, and 0.955 for hydraulic jump length. In order to evaluate the applicability of the developed hydraulic characteristic equations, 95% prediction interval analysis was conducted on the measured and the calculated by regression equations, and it was determined that NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency), RMSE (root mean square), and MAPE (mean absolute percentage error) are appropriate, for the accuracy analysis related to the prediction on hydraulic characteristics of discharge coefficient, hydraulic jump height and length.

Several types of mathematical analysis methods are used for port waterway risk assessment based on marine traffic volume. In Korea, a marine traffic congestion model that standardizes the size of the vessels passing through the port waterway is applied to evaluate the risk of the waterway. For example, when marine traffic congestion is high, risk situations such as collisions are likely to occur. However, a scientific review is required to determine if there is a correlation between high density of maritime traffic and a high risk of waterway incidents. In this study, IWRAP Mk2(IALA official recommendation evaluation model) and a marine traffic congestion model were used to analyze the correlation between port waterway risk and marine traffic congestion in the same area. As a result, the linear function of R2 was calculated as 0.943 and it was determined to be significant. The Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated as 0.971, indicating a strong positive correlation. It was confirmed that the port waterway risk and the marine traffic congestion have a strong correlation due to the influence of the common input variables of each model. It is expected that these results will be used in the development of advanced models for the prediction of port waterway risk assessment.

In Korea, the mountainous area occupies more than 70% of the whole country, cutting of earth slope that cuts a part of the ground surface is widely used when building infrastructures such as road, railroad, and industrial complex construction. In recent years, regulations on environmental damage have become more strict, and various methods have been developed and applied. Among them, Concrete-Panel Retaining Wall technique is actively applied. Concrete-Panel Retaining Wall is a method to resist horizontal earth pressure by forming a wall by attaching a precast retaining wall to the front of the support material and increasing the shear strength of the disk through reinforcement of the support material. Soil nailing, earth bolt, and ground anchor are used as support material. Among them, ground anchor is a more aggressive reinforcement type that introduces tensile load in advance to the steel wire, and a large concentrated load acts on the front panel. This concentrated load is a factor that creates cracks in the concrete panel and reduces the durability of the retaining wall itself. In this study, steel pipe sleeves and reinforcements were purchased at the anchorage of the panel to prevent cracks, and by applying bumpy shear keys to the end of the panel, the weakness of the individual behavior of the existing grout anchors was improved. The problem of degraded landscape by exposure to front concrete of retaining wall and protrusion of anchorage was solved by the production of natural stone patterns and the construction of sections that do not protrude the anchorage. In order to verify the effectiveness of anti-crack sleeves and reinforcements used in the null, indoor testing and three-dimensional numerical analysis have been performed, and the use of steel pipe sleeves and reinforcements has demonstrated the overall strength increase and crack suppression effect of panels.
The large stone cist tomb 8501 of Lingcheng prefecture Xiaoheishigou, according to Chinese chronology, was built during the late Western Zhou period. However in this tomb not only Chinese Zhongyuan style bronze ceremonial vessels but also indigenous style bronze ceremonial vessels and instruments and hybrid bronze ceremonial vessels with a mixture of both indigenous and Chinese styles were excavated in large numbers. The bronze ceremonial vessel assemblage of Xiaoheishigou, in comparison with the decorum regulations and bronze cauldron and coffer system of the Chinese Zhongyuan region of the same time period, belong to that of the lowest status category. However, in contrast to the lowest class category tombs of the Chinese Zhongyuan region, in this tomb, with the exception of cauldrons and coffers, the remaining food and wine vessels of the assemblage match the standard of emperors and feudal rulers of vassal states. This is reinforced by the burial of musical instruments. Of the bronze ceremonial vessels of Xiaoheishigou large stone cist tomb 8501, the indigenous and hybrid styles, in consideration of manufacture technology seem to have been manufactured locally. However, the form, pattern and also the standards of the Western Zhou style bronze ceremonial vessels are identical to those of the Chinese Zhongyuan region and therefore it is clear that they were manufactured in Western Zhou. The reason for these precious ceremonial vessels which were manufactured and used in the many individual vassal states of the Chinese Zhongyuan region being buried in Xiaoheishigou, seems to have been the result of economic exchange and friendly political relations between the Xiaoheishigou and other groups rather than these vessels having been plundered by the Xiaoheishigou group. A distinct cultural sphere existed between the Upper Xiajiadian culture and Western Zhou which interacted frequently with both sides.

Floating platforms made of PE (PolyEthylene) are often located in shallows of seas, rivers or lakes. They are widely used for marine pensions, marine pontoons, marine bridges, etc. These products are characterized by good flexibility, recyclability, chemical resistance and weatherability with corrosion resistance. Existing PE floating platforms have a simple structure in which one pipe is fastened to one bracket, but this has limited application, even if a user modifies the arrangement. Therefore, we developed a structure that allows buoyancy pipes of various sizes to be fastened to one bracket and verified the structural safety of the product using the finite element method. From the results of structural analysis for buoyancy pipes of different diameters, the maximum stress ratio was 0.78 compared with allowable criteria of 1.0, which represented sufficient safety for a model with 500 mm diameter pipes. Based on the results of this study, further research to evaluate the structural safety of various floating platforms can be carried out in the further; it will also be necessary to establish related evaluation criteria.

This paper describes the developments to improve the feeling and safety of the remote control system of unmanned vehicles. Generally, in the case of the remote control systems, a joystick-type device or a simple steering-wheel are used. There are many cases, in which there are operations without considering the feedback to users and driving feel. Recently, as the application area of the unmanned vehicles has been extended, the problems caused by not considering the feedback are emphasized. Therefore, the need for a force feedback-haptic control arises to solve these problems. In this study, the force feedback-haptic control algorithm considering the vehicle parameters is proposed. The vehicle parameters include first the state variables of dynamics, such as the body side-slip angle (${\beta}$) and yawrate (${\gamma}$), and second, the parameters representing the driving situations. Force feedback-haptic control technology consists of the algorithms for general and specific situations, and considers the situation transition process. To verify the algorithms, a simulator was constructed using the vehicle dynamics simulation tool with CAN communication environment. Using the simulator, the feasibility of the algorithms was verified in various scenarios.
