A Study on the Process Form Generation and Expressive Characteristic by Storytelling in BIG's Architecture (BIG의 건축에서 나타나는 스토리텔링에 의한 형태생성 프로세스와 표현 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study started from the concern for Bjrake Ingels, an emerging architect in the architecture circle, who is creative and popular. Recently, the architecture field provides architects with a foundation to express a process on a new form creation through various new expressive languages, design concepts, and methods. The global Danish group BIG(Bjarke Ingels Group) develops a story by their distinctive architectural language. The storytelling is being used in various fields and now the tool called 'story' is settling down as an important element in the life that human lives. Bjarke Ingels leading the group BIG aims for the form expression by the scientific analysis and adaptation after being affected by Danish regional background and OMA. It creates a form to share stories with local members by visually simplifying the region, culture, environment, social phenomenon, economy, and politics that are invisible and do not have the form in the modern society. The elements and expressive features of the space storytelling include locality, cultural, natural environment, and connectivity which are the content structure(story) that enables you to intervene in the story according to the main agent to imagine a new space. The expressive element includes the watching moving line story of the successive, hierarchical, and organic structures which are constructive elements creating various spaces through the mixture, transmutability, and relocation of the program and inducing users to the space. The space storytelling is composed of the symbolism, community, and eco-friendliness to appear diversely through BIG's case analysis. This study will have significance that it drew a method and feature looked at by many contemporary architects from the storytelling viewpoint in the form-creating process, classified the form-creating process through a new storytelling type, and showed a possibility on the development of various methodologies.

Effective Management of Construction Information Using a XML Based Project Deliverable Management System (XML 데이터베이스를 활용한 성과물 관리 프로세스의 효과)

  • These days construction management is executed in an information technology environment, which creates a large volume of digital data. At the completion of a project, the contractor is required to transfer to the owner the digital data as project deliverables usually in a form of CD's. From an enterprise-wide view point, this traditional way makes the management of project deliverables ineffective as the data accumulated from different projects could be enormous. The objective of this paper is to propose a structured way to utilize a XML database for better management of project deliverables. The XML database provides an environment which users can access through a project deliverable management system (PDMS). A pilot of the PDMS has been developed to test the effectiveness of document control. The result of the test demonstrates that the effectiveness of project deliverable management can be increased by providing a high transportability and usability of data in the construction life cycle.

  • 침입 탐지 기법에 있어서 finite automata 를 통해 정상 행위를 프로파일링 하는 연구들이 많이 진행되어 왔으나, 자동으로 간결한 형태의 오토마타를 생성하는 것이 매우 어려웠다. 이 논문에서는 많은 침입 탐지 기법의 데이터 소스로 사용되고 있는 시스템 콜을 이용하여 자동으로 finite automata 를 생성하고, 여기에 언어 압축 알고리즘을 이용하여 오토마타를 압축하고 일반화 시킴으로써 다양한 프로세스의 행위들을 프로파일링 하도록 하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 통해 모델링한 후 정상 행위와 비정상 행위를 가지고 실험을 한 결과 이들 사이에는 많은 수치적인 차이가 있음을 발견하였고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 침입을 탐지하는 것도 충분히 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 워크플로우 관리시스템(WfMS: Workflow Management System)은 업무 프로세스를 컴퓨터에 의해 정의, 실행 및 관리하기 위한 소프트웨어 시스템이다. WfMS에서는 업무 프로세스의 로직을 컴퓨터가 이해 가능한 언어로 표현하므로 다수의 사용자가 이기종의 분산된 환경에서 참여하는 업무 흐름을 관리 하는데에는 효율적이나 지식경영 측면에서의 지원은 미약하다. 본 연구에서는 WfMS 구조하에서 효과적인 지식 관리를 위해 인공지능 기법의 하나인 사례기반추론(CBR: Case Based Reasoning)을 활용하여 업무 흐름상에서 발생하는 지식을 생성, 저장, 추출되도록 하는 업무 지원 시스템을 개발한다. 지식의 생성을 위해 폼 기반 워크플로우 관리 시스템을 활용하고 CBR 엔진은 제약 조건의 형태로 이뤄지는 쿼리에 대해 유사 사례 추출을 담당한다. 사례 베이스의 저장 형식은 XML(extensible Markup Language)을 이용한다. 본 연구에서 개발된 업무 지원 시스템을 활용함으로써 업무 조정자만으로서의 WfMS의 한계를 벗어나 지식경영 도구로서의 WfMS를 기대할 수 있다.

  • It's difficult for other designer to understand easily, due to existing abstract form-generation method of digital authors like Greg Lynn and Peter D. Eisenman. This study uses IDEF${\emptyset}$ process diagram in order to remodel procedures and elements of this abstract 3d based form-generation method. IDEF${\emptyset}$ process diagram is the method operated prior to a design of digital program. For object-oriented modeling of each form-generation element technology, IDEF${\emptyset}$ process has been modeled. For this sort of IDEF${\emptyset}$ process modeling, digital architectural theory and analysis method has been generalized With them above, this study suggests the 3d-based form-generation IDEF${\emptyset}{\emptyset}$process model for developing digital tool eventually through the object-oriented components and setting up the mutual roles, relation as well. In conclusion, 3d-based form-generation IDEF${\emptyset}$process model, this study suggests, models form generation methods of existing digital authors using IDEF${\emptyset}$ process for developing digital tool in the future.

  • The research want to know about form creation method's special quality that found in digital construction design process that using digital media, and they comparison analysis that who positive using digital media, Frank O. Gehry, Peter Eisenman, Greg Lynn, UN studio's work. First, In digital design process using digital media is make full use to design unfolding step and application way can change by architect's recognition difference of using digital media and each architect's design general idea unfolding process, and it means form creation process can change. Second, In digital design process a building form doesn't design adaptation to construction system, they directly design the third dimension form. So, they deduction a new form that unification and integration. Third, the architect that appear's in digital design process's part is existing, data from position of the master which it selects the coding selects the outcome goods which appears in computer operation with coordinator role of the originality and construction sense which it is visible.

  • The use of various digital tools makes freeform modeling possible. At the same time, with the development of structural and construction technologies, Free-Form Architecture are beginning to be implemented realized, as the desired data extraction such as the size and coordinate points of the members is possible. Currently, in many cities around the world, Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings, which express the dynamic symbolism, are recognized for their landmark values. In order to realize the Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings, it is necessary to understand various fields such as the characteristics of digital tools, digital technique logic, design process, and construction method. In particular, it is important to plan Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings so that the various types of efficiency can be reviewed together, while generating understanding and formations from the initial design stage. Therefore, this study uses conceptual and parametric design tools related to form generation in digital architecture to analyze the details, methods, and characteristics of the Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings form generation process. In this paper, the parametric design tool is applied to study the various types of design and the process characteristics that can be considered in the initial design stage of the unstructured skyscraper.

  • This study presents the shape creation process using L-system model of morphogenesis technique. In general, L-system model has been applied to represent the visualization of biological plant. But, this study proposes the shape generation process of L-system model to apply the architectural field. The L-system model consists of two parts such as string generation step and string analysis step. The string generation step shows the process for a string rewriting. This step requires alphabet, axiom and rules to generate a string. Also, the string analysis step gives the meaning in string to generate various forms. Especially, through the various application examples, we can find out the shape creation models for the space structures.

  • When a product is designed, user's requirements should be well analyzed and applied to the design so that the psychological and aesthetic factors of a product can be accurately conveyed to consumers. The essence of product development is to analyze the changes in the purchasing tendency of consumers and the needs of times, find out user experiences to apply to a design, and establish the objective of product development that well considers those. Designing should be recognized as one that designs even the sensitivity and experience created in the relationship with users, beyond the conventional notion of design that it draws the physical form of a product. As the subjects that design should consider have expanded like this, it has become important that today's design provides a new experience as well as simply develops formative elements based on the functions of an object. As a result, it becomes impossible to accomplish such objective only with the traditional design process that existing designers have stuck to so far. In this respect, this study is aimed to draw out a system and methodology for a user-oriented design process so that design can provide expanded experience to users from product form, applied material, and service.

Development of Efficient Address Cleaning System for CRM (CRM 위한 효율적인 주소 정제 시스템 개발)

  • 최근 기업들은 인터넷, 이벤트 등의 다양한 매체를 통해 방대한 양의 고객 주소 데이터를 수집하고 있다. 이렇게 수집된 고객 주소 데이터는 DM발송 등을 통한 마케팅 및 캠페인에 활용함으로써 서비스의 질을 향상시키고, 고객의 충성도를 높인다. 그러나 사용자가 입력한 주소의 일부는 띄어쓰기가 정확하지 않은 주소, 정보가 누락된 주소, 오타가 있는 주소, 구주소 등의 입력으로 주소의 표준 형태를 갖지 않거나 일관성이 없다. 또한 2007년 4월부터 부분시행예정인 신주소 체계를 위해 기존의 주소를 적절히 변환해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 부정확하거나 불완전한 주소를 표준 형태의 정확한 주소로 변경하는 효율적인 주소 정제 시스템을 제안하고 개발한다. 본 시스템은 먼저 입력 주소의 유니코드 분석을 통한 한글 입력 오류 교정과 해쉬테이블을 이용한 건물명의 표준 형태 변환을 수행한다. 이 과정이 완료된 주소들은 주소 트리 모델 구축을 통해 띄어쓰기가 부정확한 주소의 처리, 역주소테이블(inverted address table)을 이용한 누락 주소의 처리(enrichment), 구주소에 대한 트리 모델을 생성한 신주소 변환 처리 등의 프로세스를 통해 정제하게 된다. 실험을 위해 오타와 띄어쓰기, 누락된 정보가 있는 주소를 생성하여 타 정제 시스템과 성능을 비교하였다. 생성된 데이터를 비교한 결과 기존 주소 정제 시스템의 오류율 7.5% 보다 제안된 방법으로 개발된 본 시스템의 오류율이 0.45%로 낮음을 확인하였다.
