This case study examined whether a cooperative musical instrument playing could enhance interactions between children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their neurotypical (NT) siblings. It involved three children with ASD aged 7-12 years and three NT siblings aged 6-11 years. Each group, comprising a child with ASD and their NT sibling, participated in a 40-minute sessions twice weekly for eight sessions over four weeks. The intervention included three stages: simultaneous action, complementary action, and achieving a joint goal. Evaluation criteria included the initiation and response behaviors of each child, and sequential interactive behaviors and cooperative behaviors between pairs were measured. Additionally, before and after the intervention, parents and NT sibling assessed their perceived sibling relationships. Results showed increased interactive and cooperative behaviors. Post-intervention, both parents and NT siblings rated the sibling relationship highly, despite little change in sibling conflict and competition consciousness. These findings indicate that interactive instrument playing can enhance perceptions of siblings as cooperative play partners and aid in teaching them how to collaborate during interactions.

The objective of this study was to investigate the sibling relationship, the attachment to parent and peer according to children's gender, birth order, and sibling gender composition. For this purpose, 697 male and female elementary students answered the questionnaire, who were selected because they had only one sibling. The date were analysed by t-test and partial correlation. The major finding of this study showed that children who had same sex of sibling perceived more positive way to their younger sibling then children who had different sex of sibling and that children who had female sibling perceived more positive way to sibling relationship, attachment to parent and their peers than children who had male sibling.

This study attempts to examine the factors influencing the Caregiving responsibility of sibling without disability on their adult siblings with intellectual disability. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on siblings without disability who have adult siblings with intellectual disability aged 18 years old or more and also who use services provided by 8 welfare centers for persons with disabilities in Seoul. With 132 valid responses, multiple regression technique was adopted in exploring a model for characteristics of adult with intellectual disability, a model for characteristics of siblings without disability, a model for relationship factors, and a comprehensive model. The findings of the study showed that the degree of disability in the model for characteristics of adult siblings with intellectual disability and the intimacy of siblings and social support in the model of relationship factors were significant. The result of the comprehensive model revealed that the degree of disability, the gender of the siblings without disability, the intimacy of siblings, and social support were significant. Especially, the relationship factors including the intimacy of siblings and social support were found to be the most significant factors in order to explain the caregiving responsibility. The findings of the study suggest that sibling program needs to be developed and disseminated in order to increase the understanding and the trust between adult with intellectual disability and sibling without disability, that a help is critical for adult with intellectual disability to extend the social network in which sibling without disability receives support from sibling without disability, family, friends, and other acquaintances around, and that different approach is needed in order to reduce caregiveing difficulties depending on the dependence of disability.

Recently, an intelligent product in which information and robotic technologies are applied to an existing common product, called a mother product has been developed. In order to develop intelligent products which could be accepted by users, various intelligent product design methods have been introduced considering various interaction aspects or intelligent parts to be made. However, as an intelligent product is originated in a mother product, intelligent product design methods based on product attributes need to be explored. In this study, the impact of intelligent product types by product attributes on users' acceptance was investigated by comparing hedonic intelligent products and utilitarian intelligent products. An experiment was executed with child slippers as a case. As a result, participants evaluated utilitarian intelligent products more positively than hedonic intelligent products. They showed higher purchase intention and willingness to pay toward utilitarian intelligent products than hedonic intelligent products. In the case of child slippers, even though the hedonic attributes could be expected as they are child products, utilitarian attributes were perceived as much more important than hedonic attributes as the child slippers are related to the floor noise which is a severe social problem.

이 연구는 코엔 형제 영화의 열린 결말이 작품의 주제와 어떻게 연관되는지, 그리고 그러한 열린 방식으로 내러티브를 종결시킬 수 있게 하는 서사 논리가 무엇인지 논의한다. <바톤 핑크>(1991), <노인을 위한 나라는 없다>(2007), <시리어스 맨>(2009) 등 코엔 형제의 열린 결말 영화들은 모두 '불확실성'에 관한 영화이다. 이 불확실성은 부조리하고 아이러니컬한 세상의 불가해성과 그것에 대한 캐릭터의 이해 불능으로 나타난다. 코엔 형제의 영화들은 바로 이러한 세계의 불가해성에 대한 논증의 내러티브이며, 이들의 열린 결말은 플롯과 논증의 중층 구조에서 스토리 문제의 해결이 아니라 논증의 완결을 추구한 결과이다.

Dardenne brothers' films deals with minorities' issues who are shoved out to periphery of society, and especially takes interest in value-deprived human life in labor market of today. This study examines such social awareness of Dardenne brothers targeting their latest works awarded in Cannes Film Festival, , , , , . And analysis is attempted about Dardenne brothers' unique formal aesthetical style that exactly captures such social awareness. In Dardenne brothers' films a person shows up who faces abject matter of living. Their agony is closely connected to unemployment, and shows images of irresistible anxiety and alienation. Dardenne brothers' images are not only simple platform with contents embodied, but designed form showing essential thematic consciousness. Location and gaze, motion of camera capturing a character makes us to reflect the situation a character is facing in the world. There are almost no regard about plots, no dramatic devices, superficial and even straightforward, but Dardenne brothers' films have such independent formal aesthetic, which makes able to give endless tension.

The sample of this study on sibling relationships consisted of 40 pairs of preschool siblings and their mothers. Results were that elder siblings initiated more behavior, initiated more negative behavior, and responded with more negative or no response to affirmative behavior initiated by the younger siblings. Younger siblings exhibited more responsive behavior, initiated more affirmative behavior, showed more affirmative responses to or imitation of affirmative behavior, and imitation of negative behavior than elder siblings. Male pairs exhibited more physical affirmative interaction than female or male-female pairs. Female pairs exhibited more lingual affirmative interaction than male or male-female pairs. Siblings with similar temperaments showed more boastful or no response to negative behaviors than siblings with differing temperaments. Siblings with differing temperaments exhibited more affirmative behaviors than siblings with similar temperaments.

공간 또는 다차원 데이터베이스에서는 노드영역의 중첩 및 다차원성 때문에 다수의 색인 노드를 읽어야 하는 질의가 빈번히 나타난다. 이와 관련하여 기존 연구에서는 질의를 처리하기 위해 읽어야하는 노드의 수를 줄일수 있는 새로운 색인방법을 다수 제안하였으며 본 논문에서는 같은 수의 노드를 디스크에서 빨리 읽을 수 있도록 클러스터링하는 간단한 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 노드를 형제 노드 군으로 분할하여 한 형제 노드군을 연속된 디스크 블록 군에 저장하고 노드 분할 또는 병합이 일어날때도 이런 클러스터링을 동적으로 유지한다. 약 130,000개의 TIGER 데이터와 Hilbert R-트리를 이용할 실험 결과 , 제안된 형제 노드 클러스터링을 통해 공간 영역 질의, 공간 근접질의, 공간조인 질의 등을 처리할 때 필요한 디스크 접근 시간을 최대 86%까지 줄일 수 있었다. 반면 색인 갱신과정에서 형제노드 클러스터링을 동적으로 유지하는 데 필요한 디스크 읽기 쓰기 회수의 증가량은 1% 미만밖에 되지 않았다.

Purpose : Vesicoureteral reflux(VUR) is defined as a retrograde flow of urine from the bladder into the upper urinary tract. It has been shown to predispose patients to hypertension, renal scarring, and end-stage renal failure if not recognized and treated. The observation that VUR occurs in siblings of children with reflux at a significantly higher rate than the general pediatric population has been recognized for many years and VUR was detected in 26% to 51% of siblings of patients with VUR. The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of VUR in asymptomatic siblings of children with VUR and to see if this form of screening would be practical. Methods : We retrospectively reviewed the records of 28 patients with VUR and their siblings. The total number of asymptomatic siblings investigating VUR were 28 persons. All patients and siblings were evaluated for VUR by a voiding cystourethrography and all patients and siblings with VUR were performed $^{99m}Tc$ 2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid renal scan. Results : A total of 28 patients(14 boys, 14 girls) with VUR were studied; the mean patient age was 2.7 years(range 1 month to 8.4 years). The total number of asymptomatic siblings investigating VUR were 28 persons(17 boys, 11 girls) and the mean age was 3.3 years(range 2 months to 7.4 years). Renal scar was detected in 20 of 28(71.4%) patients with VUR. VUR was noted in three of 28(10.7%) siblings and renal scar was detected in one of three siblings with VUR. Conclusion : In this study, the predictive value of a positive family history alone in identifying VUR was 10.7%. This incidence suggests more investigation of asymptomatic siblings and continued study of this group of patients at risk is needed for clarifying the family screening of patients with VUR.
