  • 열린 결말은 예술 영화에서는 물론, 상업 영화에서도 부각되고 있는 결말의 형식이다. 이러한 형식은 '수용자의 참여'를 유도함으로써 다양한 해석의 가능성과 함께 작품이 회자되는 긍정적 효과를 거두고 있다. 특히 범죄영화에서 열린 결말은 영화의 소재에 대한 해석의 폭을 넓힘으로써 작품성을 제고하고 있다. 이에 연구자는 범죄 영화에서의 열린 결말에 대한 분류와 연구를 통해 범죄영화의 제작과 해석에 기여하고자 한다.

Recognition of Printed Hangeul Characters Based on the Stable Structure Information and Neural Networks (안정된 구조정보와 신경망을 기반으로 한 인쇄체 한글 문자 인식)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for character recognition using the subdivided type and the stable structure information. The subdivided type of character is acquired from the stable structure information of character which is extracted from an input character. Firstly, the character is obtained from a scanner and classified into on of 6 types by using directional density vector. And then, the stable structure information is extracted from each character and the character is subdivided into on of 26 types. Finally, the classified character is recognized by using neural network which is inputted the directional density vector equivalent to JASO area or recognized direct. Aa a result of experiment with KS C 5601 2350 printed Hangeul characters, we obtain the recognition rate of 94%.

  • This study described about the procedure and method to type certification of KAS 23 civil aircraft that is developed in domestic. It is important to obtain type certification within defined period based on the proposed process and method to prove compliance through certification basis according to certification plan. This process referred to FAA Order 8110.4 C, "Type Certification" and domestic regulation and showed example of compliance check list(CCL) defining means of compliance(MOC). Also, proposed method to prove compliance according to means of compliance and classified item of test & evaluation.

Machine Printed Character Recognition Based on the Combination of Recognition Units Using Multiple Neural Networks (다중 신경망을 이용한 인식단위 결합 기반의 인쇄체 문자인식)

  • In this Paper. we propose a recognition method of machine printed characters based on the combination of recognition units using multiple neural networks. In our recognition method, the input character is classified into one of 7 character types among which the first 6 types are for Hangul character and the last type is for non-Hangul characters. Hangul characters are recognized by several MLP (multilayer perceptron) neural networks through two stages. In the first stage, we divide Hangul character image into two or three recognition units (HRU : Hangul recognition unit) according to the combination fashion of graphemes. Each recognition unit composed of one or two graphemes is recognized by an MLP neural network with an input feature vector of pixel direction angles. In the second stage, the recognition aspect features of the HRU MLP recognizers in the first stage are extracted and forwarded to a subsequent MLP by which final recognition result is obtained. For the recognition of non-Hangul characters, a single MLP is employed. The recognition experiments had been performed on the character image database collected from 50,000 real letter envelope images. The experimental results have demonstrated the superiority of the proposed method.

A Comparative Study of Notes in KDC and DDC (한국십진분류법과 듀이십진분류법에 나타난 주기의 다양성에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Notes in library classification systems are inevitable tools for creating and building of classification numbers. The purposes of this study are to make better notes in Korean Decimal Classification(KDC) by analyzing and comparing notes in other library classification system and to assign the most appropriate classification numbers based upon the better notes. In order to achieve these purposes, analyzing notes in Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC) and KDC was carried. And the comparison of notes used in 000 Computer science, information, general works in DDC and KDC was done. Based upon these analysis, additional notes and their various forms were suggested.

A Study on Data Analysis Approach based on Granular Concept Hierarchies (입자개념계층구조를 기반으로 하는 데이터 분석 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel data analysis approach that extracts granules suitable for various perspectives by introducing scaling level into formal concept analysis in order to control the level of granularity. Based on our approach, we can extract various granules from the given data set and constructs granular concept hierarchies based on the relations between the granules. Therefore, we can classify the given data with respect to the purpose or the intention of user's viewpoints. And, we developed G-Tool that supports our approach. In order to verify the usefulness of our proposed approach and G-Tool, we have done some experiments for real data set and reported about results of our experiments. From the experiments' results, we can verify our approach with G-Tool can be useful and suitable for classifying the given data with various scaling levels. The traditional formal concept analysis cannot control the level of granularity and can only classify for a particular perspective. However, our proposed approach can classify the given data with respect to user's purpose or intention by combining of diverse scale information and scaling levels.

How Do University Students Appreciate the Influence of Science on Life? (과학이 삶에 미친 영향에 대한 대학생들의 인식)

  • This study was conducted to identify students' meaningful scientific experiences and to ascertain the path through which the experience led to learning. The subjects of 'Understanding of the History of Science' were asked to write an essay on the subject of 'Effects of science on my life' to 81 students in the department of literature and 125 students in the science department. After that Classification criteria were established through scientific experts' seminars, and the scientific experiences that affected students and their effects were examined. The results from analyses were summarized as follows: First, As a result of study about Science Education experience that has impacted students' lives, the students were influenced by images, most of which were influenced by scientific videos. They were also influenced by science classes and science books. As a result of classifying science experience, most of the experience is composed of Informal Science Learning. Second, as a result of examining how students were influenced by their scientific experience, they found that they were affected by their daily life or influenced by science. As a result of the research, it can be confirmed that Informal Science Learning experience is an important learning form that has a great influence on students. Therefore, appropriate Informal Science Learning experience should be introduced into the class, and research and development on the Informal Science Learning experience preferred by the students should be done.
