Relationship between Shape Recovery Characteristics & Electro Chemical Machining of Ni-Ti Shape Memory Alloy (Ni-Ti 형상기억합금의 전해가공과 형상복원 특성의 관계)

  • In this paper, the electro-chemical-machining characteristics of Ni-Ti Shape Memory Alloy(SMA) was investigated. From the experimental results, the optimal electro chemical machining conditions for satisfying the machining quality(fine surface & high recovery stress) might be confirmed. And it was concluded that optical electro chemical condition for Ni-Ti SMA could be obtained at approximately 100% current efficiency and high frequency pulse current.

  • In this paper, we analyze geometrical relations of 3D shape reconstruction from 2D images taken under anne projection. The purpose of this research is to contribute to more accurate 3-D reconstruction under noise distribution by analyzing geometrically the 2D to 3D relationship. In situation for no missing feature points (FPs) or no noise in 2D image plane, the accurate solution of 3D shape reconstruction is blown to be provided by Singular Yalue Decomposition (SVD) factorization. However, if several FPs not been observed because of object occlusion and image low resolution, and so on, there is no simple solution. Moreover, the 3D shape reconstructed from noise-distributed FPs is peturbed because of the influence of the noise. This paper focuses on analysis of geometrical properties which can interpret the missing FPs even though the noise is distributed on other FPs.

Characteristics of a CFRP Cruiser's Windage Area by Stability Assessment (탄소섬유강화복합재료(CFRP) 레저선박의 횡요저항력 평가에 의한 상부구조물 풍압면적 특성)

  • This research aims to investigate the superstructure characteristics of the CFRP-yachts whose hulls are made of the light-weight material CFRP. CFRP-yachts, which belong to light-weight yachts, have a tendency of having very small superstructures compared to other vessels of the same length, and such a tendency is closely related to stability. In this research, a comparison of shape characteristics was made between common composite-plastic yachts and CFRP-yachts to find out the shape characteristics of CFRP-yacht. In the meantime, a case study was conducted concerning shape changes in superstructure to understand the effect of such changes on stability. For this purpose the shapes of a total of 10 GFRP-yachts and CFRP-yachts were comparatively analyzed, and the result showed the tendency of their hulls and superstructures. Whereas the case study on stability assessment involved various superstructure shapes of CFRP yachts, for assessment by superstructure size. Stability assessment was according to ISO 12217 (Small craft Stability and buoyancy assessment and categorization). A program was also developed based on stability assessment process due to rolling in beam waves and wind, and it was applied to the case study. The result of the case study showed that the windage area distribution tendency of the yachts whose hulls were made of the light-weight material CFRP was similar to that of the GFRP-yachts, but that the superstructure shapes of the CFRP-yachts were about 50% smaller than those of the GFRP-yachts. In addition, the stability assessment involving various superstructure areas of the CFRP-yachts showed that problems with stability occurred when their superstructure sizes were similar to, or larger by about 10% than, those of the GFRP-yachts.

계단형 낙차공의 수리모형 실험 및 수치모의 세굴 형상 비교 분석

  • 자연형 하천 복원 사업은 하천 복원 사업과 함께 친환경적 기능을 중시하는 연구가 활발하게 진행중이다. 본 연구에서는 계단형 낙차공의 평면형상의 곡선형 낙차공에서의 수리모형 실험과 수치모의를 통해 흐름 특성 및 형상을 검증하였다. 계단형 낙차공으로 수리모형 실험과 수치모의를 한 결과 복잡한 수공 구조물의 흐름 특성은 동일하게 나타났다. 본 연구에서 수리모형과 수치모형은 동일한 SCALE과 실험조건으로 하였다. 계단형 낙차공은 우측에어도가 설치되어 있어 흐름이 우측으로 많이 편향 되어 세굴심이 일어나는 것을 확인 할수 있다. 이러한 세굴 특성은 실제 자연형 하천에 적용 되었을 경우 문제점을 야기 시킬 수 있으므로 본 연구 결과를 분석하여 물받이공 산정 등에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Verification of Behavior Characteristics of Precompression Polyurethane Damper Using Superelastic Shape Memory Alloy (초탄성 형상기억합금을 적용한 선행압축 폴리우레탄 댐퍼의 거동 특성 검증)

  • Among the seismic structures for reducing earthquake damage, the seismic control structure is a technology that can efficiently improve seismic performance and secure economic feasibility by simply applying a damper. However, existing dampers have limitations in terms of durability due to required seismic performance and material plasticity. In this study, we proposed a polyurethane damper with enhanced recovery characteristics by applying precompression to polyurethane, which basically shows elastic characteristics, and applying superelastic shape memory alloy (SSMA). To verify the characteristics of the polyurethane damper, the concept was first established, and the design details were completed by selecting SSMA and steel, and selecting the precompression size as design variables. In addition, structural tests were conducted to derive response behavior and analyze force resistance performance, residual displacement, recovery rate, and energy dissipation capacity. As a result of the analysis, the polyurethane damper showed that various performances improved when the SSMA wire was applied and the precompression increased.

Analytical Behavior Characteristics Analysis of Automatic Restoring Friction Slit Damper (자동복원 마찰슬릿댐퍼의 해석적 거동특성 분석)

  • In this study, we propose a self-restoring friction slit damper by combining the concepts of self-restoring dampers, friction dampers, and steel dampers that are currently used and researched. For this purpose, an innovative damper structure was designed using superelastic shape memory alloy for automatic recovery and combining the concepts of friction damper and slit damper. Afterwards, detailed design was carried out and variables such as material, with of strut, and bolt fastening force were set. Modeling was performed using the ABAQUS program for a total of 12 dampers, and finite element analysis was performed by substituting the designed loading protocol. As a result, the self-recovering friction slit damper using superelastic shape memory alloy was excellent in terms of load, but the energy dissipation ability was not significantly secured due to the excellent recovery performance. However, friction slit dampers made of Gr.50 steel have dramatically improved performance in terms of load and energy dissipation through innovative structural improvements. Through this, the innovative structure of the damper, which combines the mechanisms of a friction damper and a steel damper, was demonstrated.

  • 최근 국내 하천복원사업의 방향(패러다임)이 구하도를 포함한 홍수터의 중요성을 인식하게 됨에따라 과거 하천사업 시 발생되었던 폐천구역을 가능한 한 하천구역에 편입하여 보존하려는 노력이 시도되고 있다. 본 연구는 하천복원사업의 일환으로 함평천 구하도 복원을 함으로써 발생할 수 있는 흐름특성변화 및 하상변화를 파악하기 위한 목적으로 수리모형실험과 수치모의를 수행하였다. 실험대상구간은 함평천 중류 구하도 복원구간(1.34 km)이며, 수리모형은 Froude 상사법칙에 따라 수평축척 1/50, 연직축척 1/25의 모형으로 제작하였다. 실험조건으로는 재현기간 50년, 100년의 홍수량과 강턱유량 두 케이스$(100\;m^3/s$, $120\;m^3/s)$를 적용하였고, 구하도 복원수로의 흐름특성은 고정상 조건에 대해 분석하였다. 구하도 복원전/후의 홍수위 비교를 통해 구하도 복원후의 하도에서는 단면확대로 인한 통수능 증가로 홍수위 저감효과를 확인 할 수 있었다. 구하도 복원후의 유속변화는 통수능의 증가로 복원전에 비해 저감되었다. 기존하도와 복원하도간의 유속차가 다소 크게 나타났는데 이는 복원하도의 단면형상과 와류발생으로 인해 나타난 것으로 판단된다. 복원하도내의 유황은 일부구간에서 흐름정체현상과 역류현상이 발생되는데 이 구간에는 퇴적현상이 예측된다. 수리모형실험의 유사퇴적경향과 FESWMS 모형의 하상전단력을 비교한 결과는 유사하게 나타났으며, 복원하도의 넓은 둔치지역에 넓은 퇴적층이 형성되어 차후 환경구조물 등을 이용한 흐름제어 및 유지관리대책에 의한 문제해결이필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 들어 국내외에서는 하천환경 및 생태서식처 기능을 갖는 자연형 하천으로의 복원에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 하천복원의 범주에서 하천 내 설치되는 수공구조물에 대한 중요성이 많이 언급 되고 있는데 그 중 대표적인 것으로 수제를 들 수 있다. 하천 내 설치하는 수제(groyne)는 제방보호 및 유로변경의 목적으로 하천내에 시공되는 구조물 중의 하나로서 하천복원과정에 있어 필수불가결한 구조물 중의 하나로 인식되고 있다. 근래에 들어 경제성 및 환경성을 갖는 수제에 대한 연구로 변형수제에 대한 연구들이 진행 되고 있는데 변형수제의 대표적인 형상으로는 L형, T형 수제 및 굴절, 열쇠형 수제 등이 있다. 각각의 수제들은 그 형상에 따라 수제주변에서 국부적인 흐름구조가 다르게 발생하게 된다. 이러한 수제들은 수제 고유의 형태에 대한 흐름특성 연구들이 주로 이루어지고 있는 반면에 수제의 투영길이에 대한비교는 수행되지 않았다. 즉 동일한 수제길이를 갖더라도 설치각이나 형태에 따라 투영면적에 대한 유수단면적의 변화가 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 그림과 같이 상향 또는 하향굴절수제를 대상으로 팔길이(AL)의 변화를 주었으며, 팔길이 변화로 인해 발생되는 투영길이(L')와 동일한 길이를 갖는 연직수제를 제작하여 흐름특성을 관측하고 비교하여 보았다. 수제는 군집 형태로 건설되는 것이 일반적이나 여러 가지 형태의 조합으로 건설되기도 하는데 이러한 투영길이에 대한 비교는 수제설계 시 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The keel attached on bottom of hull part prevents yacht from flowing sideway by sailing posture. The keel remove a heel moment and make the force of stability. The selection of suitable keel is important bemuse it has an influence on the safety. Also the appendage attached on bottom of keel part lower ballast weight center and have influence on hull stability. The optimum shape about the keel is very important. So this study has compared with characteristics of resistance depending on the shape of the lower part of fin keel in the same surface of water submersion, we have attached three different types of models of lower part of fin keels to the model ships using circulating water channel and analyzed resistance characteristics per shape to arrive at the optimum shape of reduction of resistance.
