  • ODA (Official Development Assistance) aims for practicing international humanitarianism in developing countries. However, ODA donors also seek to find convincing evidence meeting the national economic & political interests in the international community. In this regards, precise & unbiased estimation of the policy effects of ODA aid on the donors' exports to the recipient countries has recently become one of the primary concerns of the ODA donors, especially developing countries including Korea of which economy structure heavily relies on exports for economic growth. Based on the basic gravity model, this study empirically analyzes the effects of technical cooperation ODA delivering skills, knowledge and technical know-how on Korea's exports to the ODA recipient countries using 10-year panel data from 2007 to 2016. Specifically, by incorporating major variables affecting trade such as GDP, distance, FDI etc, the effect of technical cooperation ODA on Korea's exports to the ODA recipient countries is estimated with various kinds of panel models. As a result, technical cooperation ODA has a statistically significant impact on Korea's exports to ODA recipient countries, especially in the exports of intermediate goods. And the detail process of this black-boxed mechanism is scrutinized through case studies on Uzbekistan, The Philippines, and Morocco.

  • Government funded research institutes (GFRIs) maintain a cooperative relationship with companies and stably provide their resources through the family company system. They are thereby implementing a demand-oriented support system that responds to the needs of the company. This study analyzed the changes in corporate financial performance depending on the participation in family company system and customized support. For this purpose, 2,229 companies registered with the KITECH during 2015-2017 composed the "Family company group", and 80 companies that participated in the customized support were selected as the "customized support group". The effect of participation on the corporate financial performance was analyzed using the PSM-DID model. The analysis verified that companies in a cooperative relationship with GFRIs had a higher sales growth rate than others. Furthermore, when these companies received additional customized support, their OI and ROE were significantly improved. The value of this study lies in that it quantitatively analyzed the cooperation performance of partner companies following a sustainable SME-GRI relationship. In addition, it provides insight into the strategic support system for SMEs by confirming the necessity of a customized support based on the relationship.

  • Cooperative networks transmit signals form the source node to the destination node via several relay node where the combining and demodulation of relay aided signals provide the benefit of performance enhancement and data rate increment. In general, a repetitive manner transmission scheme in which the received signal from the source node is amplified/re-generated and forward to the destination node is widely used. In this paper, we analyzed the performance of cooperative networks using the mixed transmission scheme. The conventional modulation scheme is used in the source-relay links, and space-time code is applied in the relay-destination links. To reduce the complexity of the overall system, we adopt differential modulation which bypasses channel state information. We analyze bit error rate (BER) of the proposed system by considering the number of relay nodes, and the performances depending on the strength of transmission signal in the source-relays and rely-destination links are compared. In addition, we also discuss the system performance with the signal strength and the number of relay nodes simultaneously.

  • Converging technologies have become a major issue in science policy. This paper describes the current state of scientific collaboration for convergent technologies among researchers in South Korea, by conducting Social Network Analysis (SNA) with the data set of 1,095 researchers who have involved in the development of the convergent technologies. It is found that the researchers in convergent technology are more productive than the researchers in other technology domains. However, the researchers in convergent technologies have small number of collaborators, compared with their productivity. Only a few researchers have a role of the hub in the collaboration networks, meaning that the structure network is closer to than the core than the peripheral. The scientific collaboration network of the convergent technology researchers shows that the members of the network are close to each other, but there is small number of cliques.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate learners' reaction behaviors by the type of learning motive when teaching messages were delivered. The subjects of this study were 82 students from Auniversity and Buniversity in the metropolitan area. Students were online collaborative learning. The instructor delivered six messages. Since then, the researchers have measured the learner 's response time and the frequency and level of interaction. And analyzed using an independent sample t-test. As a result, the frequency and level of interaction increased before the message was delivered. The response time to instructional messages was the fastest among the students with performance avoidance goal orientation. Mastery goal orientation students were most sensitive to scaffolding messages. Performance avoidance goal orientation students responded most sensitively to the reminder message. Finally, Mastery goal orientation students had the most action on new topics. And performance approach goal orientation students had the most to do with accuracy and relevance.

  • Cooperative spectrum sensing allows secondary users of a cognitive radio(CR) network to collaborate to determine whether a primary user occupies the spectrum of interest or not. It usually performs spectrum sensing by combining the individual decisions of each second user into a final one and the k-out-of-n fusion rule is a general approach for decision fusion. This rule declares that the spectrum is occupied only when the decisions from more than k-1 secondary users indicate the presence of a primary user. In this paper, we analyze a cooperative spectrum sensing scheme with the fusion rule under the constraint that its detection probability is maintained to be no less than a given level and its numerical results for the case of a CR network with 10 secondary users.

  • The rapid advances in information technologies have resulted in not only the proliferation of the amount of information available but also the variety of information formats. Information literacy is the set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information. Therefore, information literacy which should be the core goal of the university education has been a new trend of the library instruction. Nevertheless, despite the increasing Interest in the information literacy. there has been little discussion about educational Programs. and there has been little coordination between faculty and librarians on the programs. Under such circumstances, campus-wide teamwork is needed so that the library instruction can become part of the entire learning Processes of university education. This Paper presents an overview of the models adopted by foreign university libraries and also analyses the successful cases of the campus-wide partnership of each model of information literacy programs. Based on these. the outline of the needed procedure for the enforcement of the information literacy in the university of our country is suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of teacher-student interaction in a beginner secondary science teachers' class through collaborative mentoring program. Three experienced science teachers as mentors and three beginner science teachers as mentees were participated in this study. Mentors have been teaching science secondary school for more than 13 years with specialty in science education, and mentees have been teaching less than three years in secondary schools. They were matched one-toone on grounded characteristics that were revealed from pre-interview. Data collection consisted of lesson plans of mentees' classes, videotaped lessons of mentees, consultation meetings between mentors and mentees, and interviews with mentees as well as mentors. The consultation meetings and interviews were audiotaped and then transcribed with the videotaped lessons. To examine the change in teacher-student interactions, the lesson observed after four sessions of mentoring was compared to the lesson before mentoring on the basis of the analytical framework that was developed based on the interpretative approach. The analytical framework addresses the four aspects of teacher-student interaction, which include beginner of interaction (initiation), the types of the question, the student response and the feedback. After four sessions of collaborative mentoring, the beginner science teacher's classroom interactions were initiated by students more often. Teachers' questions increasingly turned into thought-provoking queries that required higherorder thinking. The students responded in the form of statements instead of asking question more frequently. Also, teachers provided more delayed feedback than immediate feedback. These changes of interaction patterns showed that students took a leading role in classroom interaction and they were encouraged to think. From this result, we argue that the beginner science teachers developed the ability to make students think and to support them in coming to an understanding of knowledge through a collaborative mentoring program.
