Survey for Farmland Development in Western Coast of North Korea Using Satellite Image Data (인공위성 화상데이터를 이용한 북한 서해안지역의 농지기반조성 현황조사)

  • The aim of this study was to find out and confirm the project formulation, feasibility, scale and locations on the farmland development projects such as planned and ongoing tideland reclamation and irrigation facilities along the western coast of North Korea using satellite image data, Landsat TM, JERS OPS and SPOT PAN and aged maps. In order to apply to the study, remote sensing technologies such as geometric correction. digital mosaicking, image merging, linear extraction and land cover classification were studied. As the results of the study, the reclaimable tidal flats are recognized at about 178, 000 ha equivalent to 59% of announced 300, 000ha. and 16, 000 ha of completed, 17, 000 ha of ongoing project areas although 27, 000 ha were revealed to be completed during 1987-1993. Almost planned projects are appeared to be shortage of water supply due to their small watersheds, however, most projects are connected with 2000 mile canal system.

  • Recently, much demand of vector data have increased rapidly such as a digital map instead of traditional a paper map and the raster data such as a high-resolution orthoimage have been used for many GIS application with the advent of industrial high-resolution satellites and development of aerial optical sensor technologies. Aerial photogrammetric technologies using an airship can offer cost-effective and high-resolution color images as well as real time images, different from conventional remote sensing measurements. Also, it can acquire images easily and its processing procedure is short and simple relatively. On the other hand, it has often been used for the production of a small-scale land use map not required high accuracy, monitoring of linear infrastructure features through mosaicking strip images and construction of GIS data. Through this study, the developed aerial photogrammetric system using the airship expects to be applied to not only producing of scale 1:5, 000 digital map but also verifying, editing, and updating the digital map which was need to be reproduced. Further more, providing the various type of video-images, it expects to use many other GIS applications such as facilities management, scenery management and construction of GIS data for Urban area.

  • This study analyzes the interrelationship with air pollution quality and land used patterns, and analyzes the history and optimal allocation of TMS using GIS. Seasonal air pollution map are maded of TMS data in study area, and land used patterns based on Land Cover Classification Map are reclassified as residential area, commercial area, industrial area, traffic concentrated area, and non-Polluted area. Pollution sources can be identified through analyzing the correlation of air pollution and land used patterns by GIS spatial overlaying technique. Hence, the result shows that it coincides with the characteristics of conventional air pollution. Air pollution quality measured by TMS shows similar to that of its near stations or the same land used patterns, through the history and allocation analysis of TMS. Therefore, it is need to consider these characteristics in setting TMS positions in the future.

Basic Study on Logical Model Design of Underground Facilities for Waterworks (상수도 지하시설물의 논리적 모델 설계에 관한 기초 연구)

  • This study proposes the logical data model design of a spatial data model that complies with international standards for the waterworks of underground facilities. We conduct a preliminary study related to underground spatial data standards and data models, and review the status of the existing systems. Then, we defined the conceptual design direction of underground spatial data model based on the problems and issues. Next, we defined the terminology, classification, semantic relationships of waterworks. Next, for the conceptual design of the underground spatial data model, we defined the naming criteria for all data according to the waterworks classification. In addition, a logical model is drawn and described using UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams. Based on the results, it is expected that the accuracy related to underground facilities data will be improved.

  • 항공사진 원데이터의 변형을 방지하고 효율적인 관리를 위해서는 자동독취를 통한 수치화 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 항공사진 판독업무에 있어서 기존 판독자만 밀착항공사진과 입체경을 통하여 건축물의 형태와 변화 여부를 판단하던 것을 모니터 상에서 누구나 건물의 변동사항을 볼 수 있도록 효율적인 판독시스템을 구축하여 판독의 신뢰도를 높여야 한다. 판독시스템 구축은 디지털 영상의 다양한 활용과 업무의 효율성 확보 및 대민서비스 향상 차원에서 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 현재 외국의 항측사들이 실제로 활용하고 있으며 조만간 국내에서도 도입 예정인 디지털항공카메라는 항공사진의 수치화 단계를 거치치 않고 직접 수치항공영상을 취득 할 수 있으므로 수치화 과정에서 발생하는 많은 오류들을 제거할 수 있음은 물론 판독시스템을 활용한 데이터의 직접처리가 가능해 시간적, 경제적으로 많은 장점들을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 디지털항공카메라의 도입에 대비한 개발현황과 활용도 등에 관한 사전 연구가 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 직접 입체 판독 및 분석을 수행할 수 있는 플랫폼을 구비함으로서 오류를 최소화 할 수 있도록 편광 모니터(Z-Screen)를 사용하여 수행하였다. 또한 환경은 Microsoft Window OS 환경 상에서 구동될 수 있도록 개발함으로서 시스템의 범용적 사용을 위한 기초 환경을 제공하도록 제안하였다.

  • The Sunghak Campus, Dong-A University, which located at the excavated area of mountain, has been constructed year by year for about 10 years since 1978. The buildings, steep slopes, road and so on in the Campus area were damaged by heavy rainfall more than 200mm 1 day on August, 1989. The methods used for the investigation and repair methods of the damage are the preliminary investigation, the present condition survey, 50 by 50m grid survey, compasstraverse for locating outcrops, geopysical exploration, geologic survey, boring and laboratory soil testing. Based on the results of investigations, the causes of the failures have been evaluated, and the repair methods have been set up as horizontal drains, removal of the dangerous rock, retaining wall with subsurface drains, the elimination of colluvium and slope stabilization by use of precast concrete grids and so on.

  • Urban land use information is the base data for the urban planning, district-level planning, traffic impact assessment and environmental impact assessment, etc. The level of detail of the current land use information is not enough to analysis and planning. In this study, the status and problems of the current land use information is analysed. The advanced abroad cases, such as LBCS(Land Based Classification System) of American Planning Association, are studied. The purpose of this study is to develop the coding system for urban land use information classification. Through this system, it is anticipated to standardization of land use classification system and improvement of data compactability.

  • In order to manage the waterfront efficiently, we are to find the efficiency of producing method for digital orthophoto that presents natural form on lands and digital orthophoto cadastral map that presents the range of physical situation and property on lands in this study. Through this study, We can check that digital orthophoto cadastral maps for the boundary management of the waterfront are utilized widely at various field except the main purpose. Thus, we resolve the leading subjects that include the accuracy evaluation on produced maps and the bond edge of map sheet for the cadastral maps in order to drive activistic utilization and application.

  • This is a study on the selection of the optimum route using geographic information system. In general, the selection of route was classifed in order of candidate route zone, optimum route zone and optimum route, this study comes under optimum route that is the last part in the route planning. The optimum route is get attined on the weighted matrix table that based on landuse status, land value, slope degree of each grid cell of the test area, and also we suggest application possibility of geographic information system in the route planning with the comparision and analysis of the three selection route in this study.

  • The cadastral resurvey project has been planned for 19 years, from 2012 to 2030, which refers that now is at the beginning stage. The aim of a project was to correct the registration of cadastral register, which was not corresponding to the actual circumstances. As a national project, the government has been charged of this project to achieve the effective land management and protect the property rights of people, by changing analogue cadastral surveyed in 1910 to digital cadastral. On this paper, we focused on reinvestigating the principle of cadastral resurvey project and suggesting better solutions for problems, so as minimizing numbers of trials and errors in the project.
