A Study on the Defined and Realized Attributes of SMART Education (스마트교육의 속성과 구현 실태에 관한 연구)

  • Since the development of Smart technology and the advent of various Smart media, a learning environment for individual learners and the school has been changing. In the stream of changing learning environments, in 2011, the government announced SMART education strategies, introducing the term officially, "SMART education." With the governments' efforts to develop and implement SMART education in school, many policies has been enacted and many research has been conducted and increased gradually. However, as policies of SMART education have initiated in situation where there is no clear understanding in regard of SMART education, many researchers and teachers confused of SMART education and its identity and attributes, even though it has been 6 years since the concept was introduced. Unfortunately, SMART education has been implemented as one type of instructional methodology as utilizing Smart technology. Thus, in this research, we tried to build theoretical foundation of SMART education through analyzing former research on SMART education to define the attributes of SMART education. To examine how SMART education has been implemented in terms of its attributes, also, we analyzed research that conducted instructional design and implementation on SMART education in actual learning environments. As the results of former research analysis, the attributes of SMART education include Information and Communication Technology, open learning environment, self-directed learning, customized learning, and social learning. In majority of research, SMART education focused on utilizing Smart technology and media in teaching and learning environments but self-directed, and customized learning were less adapted in SMART learning environments. In the following research, how to improve educational benefits of SMART education through adapting original attributes of SMART education need to be examined.

A Study on Accuracy Analysis and Application of Postion Tracking Technique for Worker Safety Management in Underground Space Construction Field (지하공간 건설시공현장에서의 작업자 안전관리를 위한 위치추적기술 정확도 분석 및 활용 연구)

  • In the construction site of underground buildings which have severe environment such as dust, noise, vibration, the technology of rescue the builders in the construction site when accident occurs by tracking the location of the builders and express the mission of supervisor smoothly. In this study, in order to acquire the location information of the builders in the construction site of underground buildings by using MEMS INS and air pressure sensor, we firstly performed the field test in construction site, analyzed the location and the elevation accuracy based on the detected results, and then verified its practicality and rationality after all. As a result, we could acquire worker's position-accuracy within 10m in horizontal direction and 4m in vertical direction. Therefore we could judge availability in construction fields of underground structure.

A Study on Behavior Analysis of Large-diameter Drilled Shaft by Design Methods in Deep Water Depth Composite Foundation (대수심 대형 복합기초에서 설계기법에 따른 대구경 현장타설말뚝의 거동 분석 연구)

  • In the long span bridge construction, construction cost portion of large scale marine foundation is about 40% (KICTEP, 2007). In this study, designs for deep water depth large composite foundation of a super long span cable-stayed girder bridge of prototype were performed by three design methods (ASD, LRFD, Eurocode) and the behaviors of a large diameter drilled shaft were analyzed and the 3D numerical analysis was performed. As a result, the soft rock socket lengths in allowable stress design estimation method were the longest. The soft rock socket lengths estimated by the design approach 2 among Eurocode and the LRFD were similar. The longer the socket length socketed in the soft rock was, the smaller the axial force acting on a large-diameter drilled shaft head was and the smaller the settlement of drilled shaft was.

  • This study was carried out to develop Tablet PC based customizing system for fine mapping of forest cover type. The major contents and characteristics of FIS developed in this study were as follows. Field Investigation System (FIS) has a merit of accessibility to display exact location in various spatial data with position information received from the GPS. FIS can be used to record and manage many field information on which field investigation is done, with the help of the memo tool, field-sheet tool, calculating distance and area with measuring tool as well as editing forest type. It is possible to do field investigation effectively using FIS developed in this study. Accordingly, investigation and time costs can be reduced and field-work productivity will be improved.

  • On January 27, 2005, the central government of the Republic of Korea designated Jeju Island as an Island of World Peace based on Article 12 of the Special Act for the Jeju Free International City, and the WHO designated Safe Community Jeju in July, 2007. Whenever an industrial accident occurs on Jeju Island, reports in the media raise the question of whether Jeju is a safe city or not. But due to the characteristics of construction sites in Jeju, it is very difficult to employ workers of a certain level. For the safety of workers, it is also thought that owners should make a decisive investment to introduce an education and reward system in order to improve the consciousness level of workers. This research focuses on first-aid on construction sites. It then surveys the level of construction safety management, and suggests improvements in construction safety control and first-aid.

  • This paper presents a series of tests to produce the h~gh quality concrete to be filled Inside the steel tube columns. Thls concrete filled steel tube system requires not only the high strength, but a150 the flowable concrete. Laboratory test has been performed to clarlfy the material characteristics and to produce the optlmal mix design proportion. Full scale site mock up test has been then carried out to slnlulate the actual construct~on conditions including the product~on of concrete at the rermcon batch plant, transportation to the construction site, proper workabil~ ty and man power required , 4ddit1onal mock up test has finally been performec to irivesti gate any unfavorable construction s~tuatioils since the actual concrete placement has been sched uled in cold weather period, so that the high quality concrete construction is convinced to be successfully carried out.

Analysis of accident types at small and medium-sized construction sites based on web scraping and text mining (웹 스크래핑 및 텍스트마이닝에 기반한 중소규모 건설현장 사고유형 분석)

  • The construction industry's fatality count stands at 402, comprising approximately 46% of total industrial accidents. Notably, construction costs less than 5 billion won account for about 69%, so strengthening safety management at small and medium-sized construction sites is required. In this study, 19,511 accident investigation data were collected using web scraping. Through statistical analysis of the collected structured data and text mining analysis of the unstructured data, accident types and causes of accidents were analyzed by construction costs at sites less than 5 billion won. As a result, it was confirmed that there were differences in accident types and causes depending on the construction costs. It is hoped that the results of this study will be used for customized safety management at small and medium-sized construction sites.

A Study on the Recognition of Elementary School Teachers about Mathematical Descriptive Tests and Their Practices (초등 교사들의 수학과 서술형 평가에 대한 인식 및 실태)

  • In this study, we analyzed teachers' recognitions of the necessity of mathematical descriptive tests and their practices in the elementary schools. We then suggested several examples of improved formats of the mathematical descriptive evaluation. For analyzing teachers' recognitions and practices of mathematical descriptive assessment, we surveyed 104 elementary school teachers in Seoul. We collected the test items from the schools and analyzed them to find how they are practiced in the schools. The results were as follows. First, most elementary school teachers are basically recognizing the direction and the purpose of mathematical descriptive assessment. Second, the ratio of the descriptive test items was very low compared with the teachers' recognition of necessity of including descriptive items in the tests. Third, the teachers usually made the descriptive items with their colleagues using textbooks, test manuals for teachers, and the references that the office of education provided. Fourth, to enhance teachers' understanding of descriptive assessment, systematic training programs for teachers about the descriptive assessment should be continued. Finally, the office of education and research institutes should provide various types of test items and more teacher training programs on descriptive assessments.

A study on a reasonable modeling method of fully grouted rockbolt (전면접착형 록볼트의 거동 특성을 고려한 합리적인 모델링 방법에 대한 연구)

  • Rockbolts are the primary-supports in NATM tunnels and are widely used at tunnel construction sites. Among the rockbolts methods applied in domestic tunnel design, fully grouted rockbolts are the most representative and frequently used. Fully grouted rockbolts exhibit relative behavior between the bolt and the ground due to the grout material. However, during numerical analysis for tunnel design, fully grouted rockbolts are often modeled in a way that does not reflect their behavior characteristics. This may result in underestimating or overestimating the force of the supports. Based on a literature review, it was analyzed that fully grouted rockbolts are modeled using truss element or cable element. To analyze the effect of grout properties of cable elements on rockbolts behavior, this paper compared the behavior of rockbolts in two models: one estimating grout properties based on rockbolt pull-out test data, and another assuming complete adhesion between the rockbolts and the ground by applying large grout properties. Under identical tunnel conditions, the numerical analysis was conducted by modeling the fully grouted rockbolts differently using truss and cable elements, and the tunnel behavior was analyzed. The research results suggest that modeling fully grouted rockbolts as a function of the interface effect between the bolts and the ground, specifically considering grout, is desirable. The use of pull-out test data to simulate the behavior of actual fully grouted rockbolts was considered as a valid approach.

  • 최근 하루가 다르게 발전하고 있는 생성형 AI가 창작과 예술 분야에 어떤 영향을 미칠 수 있는지, 새롭게 등장하고 있는 다양한 분야에서 활용 가능한 획기적인 기능 등을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 새로운 창작 방향을 제시할 수 있는 방법들을 살펴보려 한다. 최근, 작곡가와 소설가들은 물론, 디지털 아티스트들까지도 생성형 AI를 활용하여 독특한 음악, 글, 그리고 이미지를 창조하는데 성공했다는 사례들이 속속 드러나고 있고 영상, 게임, 웹툰 등 많은 산업현장에서 직접적인 활용방법에 대한 연구결과가 등장하고 실제 적용 사례도 늘어나고 있다. 이미지 생성기인 미드저니와 스테이블디퓨전 같은 도구들은 혁신적인 방법으로 빠르게 높은 퀄리티의 이미지를 생성하고 다양한 아이디어를 제공 받을 수 있는 도구로 창작과 예술 분야에서 큰 관심을 받고 있다. 이러한 발전은 창작과 예술 분야에서 생성형 AI의 무한한 가능성을 보여주는 한편, 인간의 창의성 침해와 예술가들의 노력 희석에 대한 비판적 시각을 불러일으키기도 한다. 본 연구는 이런 다양한 관점에서 창작·예술 분야의 생성형 AI 활용을 깊이 있게 탐구한다. 그 과정에서 여러 생성형 AI 도구들, 특히 이미지 생성기 미드저니와 스테이블디퓨전의 기능과 활용 방안, 그로 인한 사회적, 윤리적 측면을 분석하며, 창작·예술 분야에서의 생성형 AI 활용의 적절한 방향성과 미래 전망을 제시해 보고자 한다.
