  • As high density of cities, construction project is getting to be high rise, large sized and multi purposed, whereas it has some difficulties due to disordering of classification and undeveloped management systems. In this study, it would be suggested that classification method for knowledge and constraint of temporary facility in order to efficient decision making of temporary facility planning with knowledge reorganization and establishment process.

The Influence of the Detonation Velocity of Explosive in Blasting (화약의 폭속이 발파에 미치는 영향 검토)

  • The defoliation velocity is tile rate of propagation of a detonation in an explosive. An explosive's velocity of defoliation(VOD) can be used to indicate a number of important characteristics regarding the product's performance under specific field and test conditions. Also, it is useful quality monitoring technique and call be measured accurately and easily at borehole and testing sites. This paper discusses the relevance of the detonation velocity of explosives in blasting. Attempts were made to classify detonation velocities and offer an interpretation of blasting process which will be useful to blasting engineers. But it was found that there is not necessarily a direct relationship between defoliation velocity and explosive quality or efficiency.

  • 프로그래머블 컨트롤러(PC)라고 하는 제어장치가 1970년대말부터 급격하게 사용되기 시작된 것은 주지하는 바와 같다. 그후 어느 조사에 의하면 PC의 연간 신장률이 $30\~40\%$나 됐다고 한다. 본고는 앞으로 1년간에 걸쳐 (1) 종래 전자 릴레이 시퀀스 제어기술 영역의 업무에 종사해 왔지만 PC와 접하지 않으면 안되게 된 사람과 (2) 새로 학교나 직업훈련소를 나와 앞으로 PC를 취급하는 직장에 종사하게 된 사람들을 대상으로 연재를 시작하는 것이므로 시퀀스 제어의 동작, 회로, 회로도를 보는 방법, 그리는 방법에 대해서 일단의 지식과 경험이 있어야 하는 것이 전제조건이 된다. 본 연재는 종래의 시퀀스 제어회로를 PC의 프로그램으로 표현하려면 어떻게 생각하면 되는가를 중심으로 완결된 프로그램을 들어 기술한다. 즉, 지금까지 전선으로 릴레이간을 배선하여 제어회로를 작성하고 있던 것을 PC의 프로그램으로 만드는(이것을 소프트 와이어드라고도 한다) 방법이 설명되고 있다. PC 프로그램 작성은 용이성이 필요 조건이 된다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 명령의 수를 제한하고 프로그램의 논리구조가 명확해지는 방법을 사용하였다. 본 연재는 앞에서 언급한 바와 같이 소형 PC를 릴레이 대신 사용하는 방법에 대해서 기술하는 것으로서, 시퀀스 제어계의 설계에 관해서는 취급하고 있지 않다. 그것은 별차원의 것이기 때문이다. 그러나 PC로 시퀀스 제어회로를 간단히 작성하게 되면 다음은 회로를 어떻게 해서 만드는가 또는 회로를 만드는 것이 아니고 기계의 움직임을 그대로 표현하고 그것을 프로그램으로 하는 것같은 이른바 설계법으로 PC의 과제가 이동해 하는 것은 확실하다. 소프트 와이어드화의 힘이 붙으면 다음은 시퀀스 제어계의 동작 표현법, 설계법으로 흥미가 옮겨 가게 된다. 본고가 이것으로의 교량역할이 된다면 다행이겠다.

  • The Knowledge-Based Society in $21^{st}$ century requires innovation in colleges' roles and characteristics. The recent colleges stress researches on industry and school in industrialized society; they try to improve the quality of higher education and to have responsibility of instructing vocational education. However, professors do not have enough opportunities to consider about teaching methods. Thus, during the class, they often fail to demonstrate their actual experience. This is because they have not gained enough chances to improve professionalism of lecture. Therefore, colleges have to provide more opportunities to professors to improve their abilities of teaching. This paper proposes mentoring programs, portfolio, and micro-teaching for improvement of lecture.

  • Demand of industry site should be accepted for effective job education of college. This study was conducted to analyze the demand of industry and the need of education, and to reflect them in the customer demand education of Department of Cadastral Information, Shingu College. DACUM job analysis method was adapted to conduct this study, and pannelists who work in surveying and GIS industry had been invited to analyze systemically the job of related industrial site. As results, the job-task model and Knowlege Skill Tool matrix was derived by analysis of job and task of industrial site. This job analysis data can be used to develop the curriculum or the program of surveying and GIS education, or to revise existing curriculum.

  • According to increase of construction projects which is accomplished in the town, diaphragm wall method was proposed. This method diminished noise and vibration. And it is able to excavate deeper than other methods. But excavation work is difficult to maintain vertical and requires much time to work. Also the work result depends on know-how, experience and intuition of excavating machine operator. We interviewed technical experts related with slurry wall method and find equipment's characteristics. We used cost-concern matrix to investigate the propriety for the introduction of trench cutter automation. Through the research, it is proper to apply trench cutter automation.

Analysis on On-line Q&A Cases regarding Landscape Trees Management - Focused on Online Consultation Board at Tree Diagnostic Center - (조경수 관리에 관한 온라인 질의응답 사례 분석 - 수목진단센터 온라인 상담 사례를 대상으로 -)

  • The persons in charge of management request diagnosis and prescription to tree hospitals in order to get consultation about the problems like blight that occur in landscape tree management. This study aims to analyze what the main problems and questions raised by landscape gardeners are and those concerned in landscape tree management. This is done by investigating landscape tree-related questions and answers uploaded on the online consultation boards of the plant diagnostic centers approved in Korea including the Seoul National University Plant Clinic, the Chungbuk National University Plant Hospital, and the Kangwon Diagnostic Center. As a result, those concerned in landscape occupied the most as 81.4% among the questioners. However, only 11.5% did explain the plant management history or surrounding environment, which is essential for landscape tree diagnosis when asking questions. This shows that those concerned in landscape lack basic knowledge or interest about plant diagnosis. Among 263 questions about landscape trees, questions about physiological damage included 94 cases that were the most taking up 35.8%. Moreover, the next were damage by insects and damage by disease in order. It is thought that due to the characteristics of physiological problems that occur by various sorts of stress and with no signs, they tend to request diagnosis or prescription the most. The most frequent reasons for physiological damage are water stress and temperature stress. About damage by disease, there exist many types of diseases, and there are many complex damages accompanied by physiological causes. About damage by insects, the most common include damage by moths. In consideration of this result, universities or technician training centers should provide education for landscape tree management so that landscape technicians and students can acquire essential knowledge and information about landscape tree management and increase their interest in it. In particular, it is necessary to provide profound learning opportunities for plant physiology, and the technicians should make efforts themselves. In addition, it is needed to build organizations to which they can ask technical questions about landscape planting and management in order to understand landscape industry in general and the actual status of landscape planting technique and the actual field. Moreover, to elevate systemicity and expertise in the area of landscape tree management not yet equipped with the foundation, it is needed to cultivate the technicians intensively and conduct research by those concerned both in academic and industrial circles.

Improvement of Personnel Cost and Placement Scale of Quality Manager for Construction (건설공사 품질관리자의 인건비 및 배치규모 개선)

  • In order to calculate the quality management cost of construction work, the process must conform to relevant laws and regulations. In details, the cost of the various items such as quality test fee and quality control activity cost are required to be calculated. Regarding the quality management costs, the labor cost is applied to the quality examination fee and the calculation unit quantity in the construction quality management duties. The application of the unit price of the labor cost stipulates that Construction Association of Korea and Korea Engineering & Consulting Association apply the unit price which is surveyed and published. However, in the related laws and regulations, the standard of the quality manager and quality tester is not clear. This accounts for the confusion in the cost of construction management and the cost of labor. In the current law, the allocation standard of quality control personnel is specified according to the size of the construction, but the standard of placement of quality testers is not specified. At the construction site, there is no assignment criteria manpower for quality testers except quality managers, or very little work is being done. The quality control personnel conducts the quality test work to be carried out by the quality tester, and this carrying out heavy work. Therefore, it is difficult to maintain quality control activities. In this study, the labor cost of quality management expenses and the allocation criteria of quality managers and quality testers are established and presented for the purpose of securing the quality of the construction work and preventing the construction work. It is stipulated that the standards of the relevant laws and regulations, which are not clear, should be classified into quality control personnel and quality testers according to the size of the construction. Based on the unit price of Korea Engineering & Consulting Association, the personnel expenses of quality managers and quality testers are proposed to apply the unit price of engineer (professional engineer, specialist, advanced, intermediate, beginner) and skilled technicians (advanced, intermediate, beginner).

A Feasibility Study on Application of a Deep Convolutional Neural Network for Automatic Rock Type Classification (자동 암종 분류를 위한 딥러닝 영상처리 기법의 적용성 검토 연구)

  • Rock classification is fundamental discipline of exploring geological and geotechnical features in a site, which, however, may not be easy works because of high diversity of rock shape and color according to its origin, geological history and so on. With the great success of convolutional neural networks (CNN) in many different image-based classification tasks, there has been increasing interest in taking advantage of CNN to classify geological material. In this study, a feasibility of the deep CNN is investigated for automatically and accurately identifying rock types, focusing on the condition of various shapes and colors even in the same rock type. It can be further developed to a mobile application for assisting geologist in classifying rocks in fieldwork. The structure of CNN model used in this study is based on a deep residual neural network (ResNet), which is an ultra-deep CNN using in object detection and classification. The proposed CNN was trained on 10 typical rock types with an overall accuracy of 84% on the test set. The result demonstrates that the proposed approach is not only able to classify rock type using images, but also represents an improvement as taking highly diverse rock image dataset as input.

The Strengthening Effects of Concrete Columns Confined with Carbon Fiber Sheets along the Fiber Direction (탄소섬유쉬트 올방향에 따른 콘크리트 기둥 보강성능)

  • Carbon, Aramid, Boron and Glass fibers are used as fibrous materials to promote structural bearing strength. Of these fiber types, carbon fiber is the most commonly used material, and is characterized by having a one-way direction, which is strengthened by tensile strength due to the attached direction only, while other types of fibers are two-way. Therefore, when applied in the field, the attachment direction of fiber is a very important factor. However, when fiber direction is not mentioned in the design drawing, there sometimes is no improvement in structural strength, as the fiber is being installed by a site engineer or workers who lack structural knowledge. The purpose of this study was to propose an optimal direction of carbon fiber through a comparison & analysis of reinforcing efficiency with reinforced experimental columns that used carbon fibers in each of the inclined, horizontal and vertical directions. According to the results, horizontal direction in the reinforced column was improved by 153.43%, but vertical direction was 104.61% only, and it was understood this was due to increased tensile strength along the fiber direction. For this reason, it is necessary to include information regarding fiber direction in design and site management.
