A Study on Market Expansion Strategy via Two-Stage Customer Pre-segmentation Based on Customer Innovativeness and Value Orientation (고객혁신성과 가치지향성 기반의 2단계 사전 고객세분화를 통한 시장 확산 전략)

  • R&D into future technologies should be conducted in conjunction with technological innovation strategies that are linked to corporate survival within a framework of information and knowledge-based competitiveness. As such, future technology strategies should be ensured through open R&D organizations. The development of future technologies should not be conducted simply on the basis of future forecasts, but should take into account customer needs in advance and reflect them in the development of the future technologies or services. This research aims to select as segmentation variables the customers' attitude towards accepting future telecommunication technologies and their value orientation in their everyday life, as these factors wilt have the greatest effect on the demand for future telecommunication services and thus segment the future telecom service market. Likewise, such research seeks to segment the market from the stage of technology R&D activities and employ the results to formulate technology development strategies. Based on the customer attitude towards accepting new technologies, two groups were induced, and a hierarchical customer segmentation model was provided to conduct secondary segmentation of the two groups on the basis of their respective customer value orientation. A survey was conducted in June 2006 on 800 consumers aged 15 to 69, residing in Seoul and five other major South Korean cities, through one-on-one interviews. The samples were divided into two sub-groups according to their level of acceptance of new technology; a sub-group demonstrating a high level of technology acceptance (39.4%) and another sub-group with a comparatively lower level of technology acceptance (60.6%). These two sub-groups were further divided each into 5 smaller sub-groups (10 total smaller sub-groups) through two rounds of segmentation. The ten sub-groups were then analyzed in their detailed characteristics, including general demographic characteristics, usage patterns in existing telecom services such as mobile service, broadband internet and wireless internet and the status of ownership of a computing or information device and the desire or intention to purchase one. Through these steps, we were able to statistically prove that each of these 10 sub-groups responded to telecom services as independent markets. We found that each segmented group responds as an independent individual market. Through correspondence analysis, the target segmentation groups were positioned in such a way as to facilitate the entry of future telecommunication services into the market, as well as their diffusion and transferability.

Circularity of the Program Development Activities: Empirical Investigation in the Social Service Agencies in Korea (사회복지기관에서 프로그램 개발의 순환적인 활동에 대한 실증적 연구: 수용, 개발, 전파를 중심으로)

  • Despite the rapidly increased concern on the circularity of the program development activities in the social service agencies, there are only a few studies about the phenomena. This study is to describe the characteristics of program development in the process of adopting, developing, and disseminating the social programs and to figure out the factors influencing differences in the 3 activities in social service agencies. The researchers constructed an explanative model including each 12-13 independent variables with 3 consecutive dependent variables on the basis of reviewing the related literatures. A multiple regression analysis was applied to predict the features of the program development using 195 questionaries responded from social workers in community service centers. As the result of the descriptive analysis, the two noticeable features are found; (1) the agencies have very actively adopted outside programs, developed appropriate programs for the agency, and disseminated the programs into other agencies in the community. (2) there are some positive aspects of the factors in related to the process of the program development. The results of the regression analysis show that the three dependent variables of the adoption, development, and dissemination are very closely interconnected with each others, showing the evidence of the circularity in the agencies. In addition, the 5 independent variables at the value of p .01 are statistically related with the circularity of the three dependent activities. The implication of major findings were discussed in academic and practical perspectives in Korea, including future research works in the area.

Large investments in the SCM was made, but many companies are not fully getting the performance from the systems. The purpose of this study is to find the determinants of SCM difussion and performance in the perspective of Innovation and Information technology Acceptance. In developing the research model, The model consists of eight independent variables(Management support, Decision Making concentration, IS strategy, training education, relative advantage, technological compatibility, task compatibility, SCM cost), two moderator variables(interorganizational and intraorganizational diffusion), three dependant variables(efficiency, effectiveness, strategic advantage).

  • 국군에서 99년도에 공식적 웹 문서에 XML을 활용하기로 발표한 바 있다. 그러나 현재 이를 제대로 수용하고 활성화하기 위한 전문 인력과 제반 여건은 크게 미흡한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 XML 도입에 대비하여 군의 현 시스템을 분석하고, XML의 활성화를 위한 정보시스템 계획을 제시하고자 한다. XML/EDI는 문서 교환 방식을 혁신적으로 개선할 수 있는 정보 기술이며 군의 과학화와 정보화를 위하여 전략적 중요성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 XML을 통한 정보 시스템의 구축은 현 군사 운영 체계와 분리될 수 없는 문제이므로 전략적 정보 시스템 계획 수립의 차원에서 이 문제가 검토되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 군사 계층별 업무 요구사항을 분석하여 현실태와 문제점을 파악하고, 웹 정보 시스템도입을 위한 조직 구조를 제시한다 실용화 도입의 단계별 조직 계획과 XML 교육 훈련 계획, XML 활용대상 업무의 선정 등을 중심으로 연구한다. 연구의 중요한 산출물로서 전략적 정보 시스템 계획의 애플리케이션 시스템 맵을 제시한다.

  • 인터넷과 WWW는 전통적인 비즈니스 모델에 혁신적인 변화를 가져왔고, 인터넷/인트라넷 기반의 전자적 서비스를 통해 비즈니스 거래를 가능케 하는 e-commerce를 거쳐 보다 확대된 비즈니스 개념과 모델을 제공하는 e-business 라는 새로운 환경을 만들어냈다. 따라서 현재 사용자의 요구를 보다 빠르고 정확하게 수용하여 원하는 서비스를 제공하는 e-business 컴포넌트들이 많이 개발되고 있으나 서로 다른 플랫폼이나 환경에서 개발된 e-business 컴포넌트의 통합과 운영에 한계가 있어 실제 컴포넌트 기술의 적용을 통한 효과를 기대하기 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 플랫폼과 환경에서 새롭게 개발되는 e-business 컴포넌트들의 조립과 기존의 e-business 컴포넌트 재사용의 가치를 극대화기기 위해 표준적인 접근인 MDA(Model-Driven Architecture)를 기반으로한 e-business 컴포넌트 개발을 위한 프로세스를 제안하고, 사례연구를 통해 적용하고자 한다.

An Analytical Study of ICT Adoption based on Diffusion Innovation Theory (혁신확산이론을 바탕으로 한 정보통신기술의 수용요인에 관한 분석적 실증연구)

  • This study adopts diffusion of innovation theory and analyses product life cycle on two different information communication technology (ICT) products. One is telematics located on introduction and the other one is MP3 located on maturity. The analytical results were mixed. ordinary least square (OLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by white noise error ($\varepsilon$) and telematics is influenced by innovation effect (p coefficient) rather than imitation effect (q coefficient) or white noise error. However, nonlinear least square (NLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by imitation effect (q coefficient) rather than innovation effect (p coefficient). In addition, the ratio of imitation effect/innovation effect of MP3 player is larger than that of telematics.

  • Code-division multiple access has been widely accepted as the major multiple access scheme in mobile communication systems. Wide-band CDMA and its hybrid associate time-division CDMA are key elements in the mobile communication. Since 10 years ago, there has been enormous research activity in analysis of the capacity of these CDMA-based systems. Recently, upgrading service, high quality and the different service classes in radio resource allocation has recently increased. This paper presents an overview of Radio Resource Allocation on the CDMA-based systems that are flexible, support traffic services, minimize call blocking rate and have acceptable radio resource utilization.

An Investigation on Consumer's Internet Shopping Behavior Explained By the Technology Acceptance Model (혁신기술수용모델(TAM)을 응용한 인터넷쇼핑행동 고찰)

  • This study investigates internet shopping behavior of consumers. The rapid growth of the internet shopping markets is solely dependent on the voluntary adoption of internet shopping medium by the personal users. But the studies on this topic are very limited. Based on these facts, this study, recognizing the internet shopping medium as an innovation, studies how consumers understand and use innovative internet shopping medium by applying and extending the technology acceptance model proposed by Davis et. al.(1989). The results of the survey on 947 consumer panel reveal that compatibility, system quality have positive impact on the formation of perceived ease of use. And it is also shown that the perceived ease of use, system quality, and compatibility have positive influence on perceived usefulness, but computer-efficacy has no effect on perceived usefulness. Meanwhile, it is confirmed that perceived usefulness and compatibility have positive effect on attitude toward internet shopping behavior, but perceived ease of use has no effect. In addition, perceived security and social norm, as opposed to the hypotheses, are shown to have no effect on internet shopping behavior. Lastly, applications and related limitations are discussed.

  • 본 연구는 정보화 투자효과 평가방법론의 틀을 형성하는 투자효과 분류체계와 측정활동의 모형을 제안하고 있다. 우선 기존에 사용되는 여러 가지 이론적 또는 실무적 투자효과 분류체계의 장단점을 분석한 후 Balanced Scorecard 모형에 의거하여 정보화 투자효과를 재무, 대고객, 내부 프로세스, 혁신과 학습 4가지 영역으로 분류하였다. 이러한 분류체계는 1990년대 정보화 투자가 창출하는 무형적이고 전략적인 효과를 비즈니스 용어와 성과지표로서 적절하게 수용하고 있고, 정보화 투자를 비즈니스 투자와 사업적 관점에서 바라볼 수 있게 한다. 그리고 정보화 투자와 기업성과 사이의 인과관계와 역동적 흐름을 체계적으로 파악할 수 있게 하는 장점이 있다. 이러한 분류체계에 근거하여 투자효과 측정활동은 기업성과지표의 도출, 기업성과지표별 정보화 효과 예측, 그리고 정보화 효과의 화폐가치 산출이라는 3가지 작업으로 구분된다. 본 연구에서는 각 작업별로 어떠한 절차, 방법, 기법들이 사용될 수 있는지를 제안하고 있다.
