An Empirical Study on the Effect of Trust to RFID Technology Acceptance (신뢰가 RFID 기술수용에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technologies enjoy an enormous interest in all throughout the world, not only from the research but also from corporate practice. Although bar code is gradually substituted with RFID technology, the use of RFID technology in the companies is at the early stages and it's potential value isn't fully realized yet. RFID-related-trust is needed to solve these problems because these phenomena are related to uncertainties or risks disturbing RFID diffusion. This paper focuses on trust in the adoption of RFID and analyzes the effect to RFID technology acceptance of trust. This paper proposes 5 second constructs of trust; institutional trust, trust between companies, trust within company, technology trust, and service provider trust. In order to analyze some relationships between trust variable and 4 variables in TAM, structural equation modeling(SEM) is developed and SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 7.0 are used for analyses.

  • 최근 소비자의 요구가 다양해짐에 따라 이에 대응하기 위한 경영 전략들 역시 다양해지고 있다. 이중 CALS는 비지니스 리엔지니어링(Business Process Reengineering), 동시공학(Concurrent Engineering), CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing)등의 여타 경영혁신 기법들을 모두 수용하면서도, 그 구현에 있어서 인터넷, 수퍼 하이웨이, 정보기술의 표준, 생산자동화등과 같은 구체적인 핵심정보기술의 지원을 받은 새로운 경영전략이다. CALS는 다양한 기술과 전략을 포함하고 있으므로, 이들간의 통합된 구도를 관리할 필요가 있으며, 제품의 전 수명주기를 그 대상으로 하므로 생산공학, 품질공학, 인간공학, 경영공학, 정보공학, 물류공학등의 산업공학적 관점에서 그 효율을 극대화하려는 노력이 절실히 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 CALS에 있어서의 산업공학의 역할을 주지하며, 이에 관련된 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근 정보통신서비스는 유비쿼터스라는 새로운 패러다임을 맞이하여 급속히 발전하고 있다. 특히 DMB 서비스는 TV의 이동 수신이라는 새롭고 혁신적인 기술과 함께 무선 이동 통신망을 이용하여 양방향 서비스가 가능한 방송 통신 컨버전스 시대를 선도해 나갈 주역으로서 정보통신의 새로운 성장 동력으로 주목받고 있다. 이러한 서비스나 기기를 제공하는 기업에게는 기술적인 측면도 중요하지만, 효과적인 마케팅을 위해 소비자들이 이러한 서비스를 어떻게 수공하고 이용하는지에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 즉, 언제 어디서나 상황에 맞는 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 효과적인 상품 개발과 서비스를 위해 사용자들이 어떠한 요인에 의해서 정보통신서비스를 이용하는지에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 강호작용성의 구성요인을 제시하고 이러한 특성이 DMB 서비스의 수용과 사용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 분석해보고자 한다. 또한 이를 통해 기업의 입장에서 향후 DMB와 관련된 다양한 서비스를 개발하고 이용자를 확대하는데 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

Effects of IT-related Household Demand Characteristics on DTV Adoption: An Empirical Analysis Using Micro Data (가구의 정보통신수용도가 DTV 구매에 미치는 영향 micro data를 이용한 실증연구)

  • This paper empirically analyzes determinants of DTV (Digital Television) adoption in household survey data with IT-related household demand characteristics. To this purpose, we conducted a survey for the adoption of DTV to 1,000 households nationwide. In the questionnaire, various questions asking socio-economics characteristics such as age, education, income were included. Also, status of adoption and usage of IT services such as paid broadcasting, internet, and DVD were asked. To analyze the determinants of intention of purchasing, decision of purchasing, and the timing of purchasing DTV, we adopted the ordered logit, binary logit and multinomial legit models. When there is an order among groups, ordered logit was employed and when there is no orders among groups, multinomial logit was emplyed for the estimation. It is found that when conditions of other explanatory variable are constant, the more educated household heads are, the more probable they become early adopters of DTV. It is also found that other conditions being constant, the income level of households and IT-related household demand characteristics are very important factors affecting DTV adoption. Since the likelihood of purchasing DTV is much higher for those who know the government policy of analog broadcasting termination schedule than others who do not know, dissemination of the Korean government's digital broadcasting policy will affect significantly the adoption of DTV. And policy with various incentives ought to be employed to accelerate DTV adoption, because households with the older TV sets are more likely to purchase DTV. It is suggested that the Korean government should develop policy to connect both DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite) and DTV since DBS subscribers are more likely to be an early adopter than non-subscribers.

  • Responding to the rapid delivery demands and variety of small-volume products through human resource-dependent logistics operations in online markets is difficult. Logistics robots in fulfillment centers are expected to increase due to difficulties in hiring workers and rising labor costs. Amazon operates more than 100,000 robots in its Fulfillment centers. Alibaba, DHL, and UPS are also introducing robot technology to improve the logistics efficiency. Logistics robots are being used actively in the fierce online market competition of the global distribution industry. On the other hand, Korea is relatively sluggish. To revitalize the introduction of logistics robots in Korea, it is necessary to examine the factors that influence acceptance. The description of acceptability was based on an expanded technology acceptance model that has been verified through various studies. Studies have shown that both the ease and usefulness of purchasing have significant effects, and that ease has the greatest effect. The more experience involved, the more innovative, the more positive. The usefulness was shown to be positive as the perceived risks are low, price efficiency is good, and social impact is greater. This study provides theoretical and practical implications for logistics robot development and marketing.

An Empirical Study on the Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Mobile Easy Payment Services: A Case of Chinese User (모바일 간편 결제 서비스 수용요인에 관한 실증연구: 중국사례를 중심으로)

  • In this paper, a research model was designed to investigate the factors influencing the intention to use of mobile easy payment services in China. Our research model includes the service factors(instant connectivity, economic and security), social factors(subjective norms and image), the user's individual factors(self-efficacy personal innovativeness and suitability), perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and intention to use. A survey was conducted to collect the data with users who have had the actual using experience about mobile easy payment services. In this research, the data were collected by online survey, and in final analysis, 439 users' questionnaires were used. The empirical paper proves research hypothesis by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 23.0. The results of the study are as follows: the mobile easy payment service factors, social factors and the user's individual factors partially give positive effects to perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness; perceived ease of use gives positive effects to perceived usefulness. In addition, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have positive effects to on intention to use.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain the recipient's psychology, which results from the operation of media, from the perspective of the fluctuation between immersion and contemplation. Media allow to perceive and speculate about specific objects or meanings. In addition, the media perform the function of expanding or changing the objects of perception and thought. McLuhan or Luhmann's media theory emphasized this function of changing the state of perception by inducing a contemplative attitude. This notion is exemplified by interpretation of the visual media history. In this paper, the cases of film and computer game are discussed. In particular, it is considered that VR media causing strong immersion have also developed in a way that allows recipients to contemplate an virtually constructed reality. The commercialization of Tilt Brush and the experimentation of VR painting artwork are the examples for this dual development.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what influence the external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products such as reliability, safety, effectiveness and innovation have on ease and usefulness, perceived value and behavioral intention. An empirical analysis were conducted to the general consumers over the age of 20 years who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas having experience of buying eco-friendly agricultural products in department stores, supermarkets and eco-friendly agricultural product specialty stores from November 10 to November 23, 2012, A total of 350 copies of questionnaire were distributed for this research and, excluding partial ones that were too concentrated on one side or found missing values, a total of 305 copies(87.1%) were used as the final statistical analysis data. The result shows that such external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products as liability, safety, effectiveness and innovation are useful enough as a theoretical basis for later study on RFID systems for eco-friendly agricultural products. Also, it reveals that, since all the process from production to sale of agricultural products can be seen, the products are provided safely for consumers, are objectively and rapidly investigated when problems occur, induce a positive attitude with their historical information, and are supplied through systematic management such as consumers' rights to know and choose and recall of unfit products.

An analysis on the propriety of pilot project and the Management Performance in Korea's new technology adaptation Farming (신기술 수용농가의 시범사업 타당성 및 경영성과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the outcomes of experts' survey for Cultivation techniques of good seed bulb in garlics program, purpose of introduction, and performance analysis this program. As a result of survey on new technology adoption to be cultivated in cultivation techniques of good seed bulb in garlics, technique satisfaction scored the highest with 4.3 points whereas innovation scored 4.21 points. On the other hand, risk scored the lowest with 2.53 points. Also, using BMO model business attractiveness and business fit scored 44 points, 45points respectively. Thus, the project rate of success were analyzed by more than 80 per cent. Finally, the management performance is analyzed on the garlic farms by selecting the highest awareness collected. As a result of effects after new technology adoption, 43% of the surveyees stated that the relative management costs dramatically decreased, and increase in production.

The Determinants of User Resistance to Adopting e-Books : Based on Innovation Characteristics and User Attitude (전자책 수용에 대한 사용자 저항 결정요인 : 혁신특성과 사용자태도를 중심으로)

  • The e-Book market has rapidly grown as an innovative product which is mixed its traditional and technological characteristics. However, decreasing user resistance to the e-Book is very important to continually keeping up its market growth. Previous studies for user resistance have been studied as a negative barrier for various innovative products with importance of user resistance. Nevertheless, the factors for user' resistance to the e-Book field have not been found out considering both perceived value and switching cost. Especially, both innovative technology and user specifics should be considered when explaining user resistance to adopting e-Books. Thus, the purpose of this study is to understand the process for user resistance to the e-book and find out its antecedents with perceived value and switching cost at the same time. As a result, it appeared that triability, uncertainty and complexity affected perceived value and switching cost. The user-based antecedents like social norm and perceived value increased the effect of self-efficacy. Also, self-efficacy and perceived value decreased user resistance whereas switching cost increase user resistance to the e-Book perspective.
