A Case Study on Building a System Dynamics Model for Strategic Knowledge Management (전략적 지식경영을 위한 시스템 다이내믹스 모델 구축 사례 연구)

  • IT companies make a lot of effort to share and utilize the experiences of their members and transform them into organizational knowledge as a competitive core. However they face a dilemma in that they have to spend time and financial resources to perform activities around knowledge management for the long-term gains, while carrying at field-work for making short-term profits. As an initial attempt to tackle this managerial problem, this paper tries to investigate the mechanism of knowledge management in a small IT company in Korea with a synthetic view-point using system dynamics simulation model. It depicts the dynamic behaviors of knowledge management and presents some findings of political leverage. Although this model has to be further replenished, the scheme for the dynamism of knowledge management and the findings presented in the paper could be useful for the decision makers, especially of knowledge-intensive organizations.

A Study on Environment-friendly Expressional Characteristics; As Shown in Interior Design of Public Facilities in Ulsan (울산광역시 공공시설 실내디자인의 환경친화적인 표현특성에 관한 연구)

  • Contemporary human beings have tendency to orient themselves to a natural environment while they have adapted themselves to artificial surroundings, which implies that a development of interior space where man, nature and space are in a sympathetic harmony with one another through overcoming non-naturalness and non-humanization is seriously needed. There are two methods in that; one concerns an introduction of environment-friendly expressions into the interior space as its natural factor, and the other involves expressing natural objects or beauties with orderly change commonly seen around in form of artificial design. On this study, the definition of ″Environment-friendliness″ and how it has evolved itself with time are first considered to search out for environment-friendly characteristics in the interior design. And then, among the characteristics of environment$.$friendly expressions widely observed in the interior space, the two aspects are studied for our purpose; an introduction of natural factors and an expression with artificial design. For the study, public facilities located in Ulsan were proposed since they accommodated lots of people. To meet the needs of the times that the development of environment-friendly space should reflect the factors of beauty and comfort enough to live in, relevant studies should be more activated and specialized. When there are a wide understanding of and a profound work upon introducing natural factors as well as ones of sound design into the interior space, a desirable environment-friendly expression could be created.

Pregnant Women's Information Seeking Experience : Structure and Process of Information Seeking (임신부의 정보추구 경험 - 정보추구의 구조와 과정 -)

  • Using Grounded Theory. the present study was to discover structure and process of pregnant women's information seeking experience through identifying concepts and relationships of the experience. In-depth interviews were conducted with 16 Participants selected by theoretical sampling. The findings were : 1) Pregnant womens' information seeking was caused by Acceptance of Pregnancy . 2) The phenomenon of information seeking was for Maintaining Normalcy to Pregnancy(MNP), 3) MNP occurred in connection with Perceived Anxiety and Desire to Know 4) Action/interaction Strategies to MNP were related to the Awareness of Ways Acquiring Information. Previous Knowledge. Self-Regulation, and Information Access Environment. 5) Action/interaction Strategies to MNP were Seeking Diagnostic Data of Antenatal Care. Seeking Standard Knowledge. Seeking Experience. and Seeking Emotional Support. 6) As consequences of taking strategies, pregnant women were experienced in Sufficient. or Insufficient. 7) A three-stage process of information seeking was discovered : Comparing, Contextualising, Making sure. 8) In terms of change of information needs during pregnancy, a four-phasic process was discovered. Acceptance Phase. Adjusted Phase, Focusing Phase, and Transitional Phase. Based upon these results. it needs to generate a substantive theory contributed to holistically explain and predict pregnant women's information seeking behavior.

Origin and destination matrix estimation using Toll Collecting System and AADT data (관측 TCS data 및 AADT 교통량을 이용한 기종점 교통량 보정에 관한 연구)

  • In the transportation planning process, origin and destination(O-D) trip matrix is one of the most important elements. There have been developments and applications of the methodology to adjust old matrices using link traffic counts. Commonly, the accuracy of an adjusted O-D matrix depends very much on the reliability of the input data such as the numbers and locations of traffic counting points in the road network. In the real application of the methodology, decisions on the numbers and locations of traffic counting points are one of the difficult problems, because usually as networks become bigger, the numbers of traffic counting points are required more. Therefore, this paper investigates these issues as an experiment using a nationwide network in Korea. We have compared and contrasted the set of link flows assigned by the old and the adjusted O-D matrices with the set of observed link flows. It has been analyzed by increasing the number of the traffic counting points on the experimental road network. As a result of these analyses, we can see an optimal set of the number of counting links through statistical analysis, which are approximately ten percentages of the total link numbers. In addition, the results show that the discrepancies between the old and the adjusted matrices in terms of the trip length frequency distributions and the assigned and the counted link flows are minimized using the optimal set of the counted links.

  • 본 연구는 도심지에 위치한 LPG 충전소를 연구범위로 하여 공간정보의 활용이 가장 많이 요구되는 안전관리 분야의 업무를 중심으로 공간정보를 효율적으로 구축 활용하기 위하여 데이터베이스를 중심으로 위험관리정보 시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 바탕으로 정량적 위험성 평가의 자동화를 통해 나타난 위험성을 실시간에 제어하기 위한 필요조건을 표준화하여 기초 정보자료로 구축, 이를 지리정보기능과 연동하여 LPG 충전소의 안전검사의 효율화, 사전 위험성 평가, 사고대응 판단의 효과적인 의사결정을 유도 할 수 있는 기반을 제공한다. 위험관리정보시스템(RMIS, Risk Management Information System) 개발절차는 다음과 같다 첫째, 도심지에 위치한 LPG 충전소 위험성 평가를 수행함에 있어서 기본적인 데이터인 부지내(On-site) 관련 자료와 부지 외(Off-site) 관련 자료를 관계형 데이터베이스(RDB, Relational Database)로 개발하였다. 둘째, Visual Basic을 이용하여 사용자가 효과적으로 위험을 관리 제어 할 수 있는 위험관리 통합 데이터베이스 시스템 개발하였다. 셋째, 위험관리 통합 데이터베이스 시스템과 지리정보시스템에 연동을 통한 의사결정 방안 제시하였다. 위험관리정보시스템(RMIS) 프로그램을 개발을 통하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 위험관리 데이터 이용하여 사용자와 검사자가 효과적으로 위험을 사전관리 할 수 있는 공유정보를 구축하였다. 둘째, 위험 관리를 부지 내와 부지 외로 나누어 관리함으로서 시설 내부 뿐 만 아니라 시설외부에 미치는 영향을 모두 고려하여 구축하므로 서, 중대사고에 대응 할 수 있는 종합적인 안전관리 기반을 조성하였다. 셋째, 사용자 인터페이스를 바탕으로 비상사태 발생시에 신속하고 정확한 의사결정을 할 수 있는 기반을 조성하였다. 제공하여 응용GIS 구축의 생산성 및 품질 향상에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 우리의 최종목표인 GIS 소프트웨어 자동 생산에도 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다. 등)을 교통망상에 표시할 수 있음으로서 의사결정에 보다 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 비트율의 증가와 화질 열화는 각각 최대 1.32%와 최대 0.11dB로 무시할 수 있을 정도로 작음을 확인 하였다.을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할 수 있으며, 특히, 한국주

Influence of review system using computerized program for Acute Respiratory Infection upon practicing doctors' behaviour (전산프로그램을 이용한 급성호흡기감염증 청구자료 심사 시행 후 개원의의 진료 및 청구 행태 변화)

  • The aim of this study was to explore the effects of a computerized review program which was introduced in August 1, 2003, using claims data for acute respiratory infection related diseases. National Health Insurance (NHI) claims data on respiratory infection related diseases before and after the introduction, with six month intervals respectively, were used for the analysis. Clinic was the unit of observation, and clinics with only one physician whose specialty was internal medicine, pediatrics, otorhinolaryngology and family medicine and clinics with a general practitioner were selected. The final sample had 7,637 clinics in total. Indices used to measure practice pattern was prescription rates of antibiotics, prescription rates of injection drug per visit, treatment costs per claim, and total costs per claim. Changes in the number of claims for major disease categories and upcoding index for disease categories were used to measure claiming behavior. Data were analysed using descriptive analysis, t-test for indices changes before and after the introduction, analysis of variance (ANOVA) for practice pattern change for major disease categories, and multiple regression analysis to identify whether new system influenced on provider' practice patterns or not. Prescription of antibiotics, prescription rates of injection drug, treatment costs per claim, and total costs per claim decreased significantly. Results from multiple regression analysis showed that a computerized review system had effects on all the indices measuring behavior. Introduction of the new system had the spillover effects on the provider's behavior in the related disease categories in addition to the effects in the target diseases, but the magnitude of the effects were bigger among the target diseases. Rates of claims for computerized review over total claims for respiratory diseases significantly decreased after the introduction of a computerized review system and rates of claims for non target diseases increased, which was also statistically significant. Distribution of the number of claims by disease categories after the introduction of a computerized review system changed so as to increase the costs per claims. Analysis of upcoding index showed index for 'other acute lower respiratory infection (J20-22)', which was included in the review target, decreased and 'otitis media (H65, H66)', which was not included in the review target, increase. Factors affecting provider's practice patterns should be taken into consideration when policies on claims review method and behavior changes. It is critical to include strategies to decrease the variations among providers.

A Study of Driver Test Station-based on Driver Behaviors Assessment: from 20s to 70s (운전운동평가-기반 연령별 운전자 행태 분석 연구: 20대부터 70대까지)

  • Driving behaviors are reported to be vulnerable to safe driving in unexpected situations or driving in the city due to deterioration of physical and cognitive functions in elderly drivers. The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in driving behaviors according to age of self-drivers and to identify changes in physical function related to driving caused by normal aging. The subjects of the study included 75 healthy adults (21 persons aged 20-39 years, 40 persons 40-64 years, 14 persons 65 years old) who were self-driving and possessed a driver's license. Data included sex, dominant hand, medication, exercise, age, and driving time obtained by a self-reported questionnaire. In addition, this study measured steering, acceleration and braking using a Driver Test Station. Results of the study showed there was no significant difference in power test according to age group, but the total time of the timer test and the emergency brake test significantly differed according to age. The timer test and emergency brake test were completed fastest in young adults between 20 and 39 years old and completed slowest in elderly people 65 years old or over. Based on our study results, it is suggested that normal aging affects the perceptual-cognitive processes associated with driving behaviors.

A Study on the Locational Patterns of Wedding Shops in Seoul : A Case of Gangnam-Gu (서울시 웨딩 업체의 입지 패턴에 관한 연구 : 강남구를 사례로)

  • Wedding shops, which had been located in Jung-gu, Jongno-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu in 1990, have been shown a rapid change in light of location since the year of 1995. Thus, most of shops are concentrated on Gangnam-gu in 2010. Wedding dress shops in Gangnam-gu were distributed between Kanglim Church and Apgujeong station in the early 1990s, and then moved gradually to Dosan park and then to Cheongdam-dong after passing through Hakdong intersection. Luxury image in Cheongdam-dong was the main reason for integration of wedding businesses. This intergration of shops showed the peak at the Cheongdam intersection. A motive of having come to start business in Cheongdam-dong was selected the high awareness and image in district, and was taken the ease for business-based cooperation and connection. High rent and inconvenient transportation were reasons for dissatisfaction. The business-based cooperation and connection were mostly formed through a consulting company. Level and reputation of relevant shops were important elements. Even the connective and associative shops are located the most in Cheongdam-dong followed by Nonhyeon-dong, Shinsa Apgujeong-dong in order. The cluster relationship was most noticeable in wedding studio, wedding dress, wedding consulting, and hanbok(Korean traditional clothes) business. Frequency of vertical cluster was indicated to be more than horizontal cluster. User behavior of wedding businesses in Seoul has been collecting wedding information through internet and wedding consulting business.

The Dispersion Phenomenon of Journal Citations in a Digital Environment (디지털 환경에서 학술지 인용의 분산화 현상에 관한 연구)

  • Electronic publishing has influenced, and in some ways changed, information seeking, reading patterns and citation behaviours. This study collected the Cited Half-Lives, the indicator implies the life-span of scholarly journals, from JCR Social Science edition the before and after of the prevalence of electronic journals, and observed if there are some changes in these two periods. The analysis results of eight disciplines show that the average Cited Half-Lives increased in 2007 than in 1994 for seven disciplines except the demography. Especially in the four disciplines of economics, education, finance and sociology, the average Cited Half-Lives increased significantly. This results show that the concentration, researchers cite more recent articles and concentrate their citations on fewer ones, is lightening and the dispersion of citations is actually increasing. With the online availability of articles and journals the old online materials can be often accessed, used and cited more frequently, the more growth potential of Cited Half-Lives are made in a digital environment. Further research needs to investigate if the phenomenon will become more obvious in various disciplines after a few years.

Automated Driving Aggressiveness for Traffic Management in Automated Driving Environments (자율주행기반 교통운영관리를 위한 ADA 개념 정립 및 적용 기법 개발)

  • Emerging automated driving environments will lead to a mixed traffic flow depending on the interaction between automated vehicles (AVs) and manually driven vehicles (MVs) because the market penetration rate (MPR) of AVs will gradually increase over time. Understanding the characteristics of mixed traffic conditions, and developing a method to control both AV and MV maneuverings smoothly is a backbone of the traffic management in the era of automated driving. To facilitate smooth vehicle interactions, the maneuvering of AVs should be properly determined by various traffic and road conditions, which motivates this study. This study investigated whether the aggressiveness of AV maneuvering, defined as automated driving aggressiveness (ADA), affect the performance of mixed traffic flow. VISSIM microscopic simulation experiments were conducted to derive proper ADAs for satisfying both the traffic safety and the operational efficiency. Traffic conflict rates and average travel speeds were used as indicators for the performance of safety and operations. While conducting simulations, level of service(LOS) and market penetration rate(MPR) of AVs were also taken into considerations. Results implies that an effective guideline to manage the ADA under various traffic and road conditions needs to be developed from the perspective of traffic operations to optimize traffic performances.
