In recent decades, research became more data-intensive in the fast-paced information environment. Researchers are facing new challenges in managing their research data due to the increasing volume of data-driven research and the policies of major funding agencies. Information professionals have begun to offer various data support services such as training, instruction, data curation, data management planning and data visualization. However, the emerging field of data librarians, including specific roles and competencies, has not been clearly established even though librarians are taking on new roles in data services. Therefore, there is a need to identify a set of competencies for data librarians in this growing field. The purpose of this study is to consider varying core competencies for data librarians. This exploratory study examines 95 online recruiting advertisements regarding data librarians posted between 2017 and 2021. This study finds core competencies for data librarians that include skills in technology, communication and interpersonal relationships, training/consulting, service, library management, metadata knowledge and knowledge of data curation. Specific core technology skills include knowledge of statistical software and computer programming. This study contributes to an understanding of core competencies for data librarians to help future information professionals prepare their competencies as data librarians and the instructors who develop and revise curriculum and course materials.

건설분야에서 표준화된 정보체계에 따라 XML 전자문서를 개발할 수 있도록 UN/CEFACT의 핵심요소 개발 지침을 기반으로 XML 라이브러리를 개발하였고 XML 라이브러리에 핵심요소, 비즈니스 정보체계, 핵심요소 유형의 기초가 되는 한정어 데이터 유형(Unqualified Data Type)을 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 건설정보의 특성을 반영한 16종의 한정어 데이터 유형과 속성정보를 정의하고 XML 스키마를 개발하였다.

본 고에서는 u-City를 구현할 때 가장 핵심적인 부가 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 대표적인 서비스의 종류를 소개하고 이 서비스들이 필요로 하는 공통적인 요구 사항을 정리한 후, 이 서비스 구현에 필요한 핵심 기술에 대해 소개하였다. 2007년 7월 현재 u-City Forum 기술 분과 위원회에서 표준화된 핵심 기술은 u-City 통합운영센터 기술과 근거리 무선 통신 기술로서 최적의 USN 아키텍처인 WiBEEM (Wireless Beacon-enabled Energy Efficient Mesh Network) 기술이다. 이 외에도 유비쿼터스 통합단말기 플랫폼 표준과 u-City를 위한 통합 코드체계 기술, 그리고 센서 데이터 포맷 표준화, u-City 시설물 관리 기술 표준화, USN 미들웨어 표준화, u-City 백본망과의 인터페이스 표준화, u-City 데이터 전송을 위한 정보 보호 표준화 등이 앞으로 추진해야 할 대상이다.

As the digital technologies and internet have advanced, data have centered in the process of meaningful scientific ramifications and policy making in a wide variety of fields. Data curator in charge of managing data plays a significant role in terms of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of data management and re-uses. The purpose of this study is to identify the core competencies for data curator. For achieving the purpose of this study, two sets of data were collected. First, a total of 255 job descriptions were collected from the web sites including ARL, Digital Curation Exchange, Code4lib, ASIS&T JobLine for the period of 2011-2014. Second, in-depth interviews with five data curators from four diverse organizations were collected. The two sets of data were analyzed into seven categories identified from the related studies. Findings of this study showed that core competencies for data curator were identified into four categories, communication skills, data management techniques, knowledge and strategies for data management, and instructions and service provisions for users. The implications of this study can be considered as integrated and professional curriculum developments for data curator with core competencies.

현재 국방부에서는 국방정보체계간의 상호운용성을 보장하기 위해 아키텍처 산출물을 쉽고 일관성 있게 개발할 수 있는 국방 아키텍처 프레임워크를 개발하고 있다. 따라서 개발된 아키텍처 산출물을 저장하여 재사용하고 국방 전반의 아키텍처 정보의 교환, 비교, 통합을 용이하게 하는 핵심아키텍처데이터모델의 개발이 필요하다. 핵심아키텍처데이터모델은 국방 아키텍처 프레임워크에서 도출된 데이터 요구사항을 통해 엔티티를 추출하고 관계를 정의하였으며 실사례를 통해 엔티티를 검증하였다. 이를 통해 전군의 아키텍처에 대한 공통의 데이터 모델을 제공하여 국방정보체계에 대한 통합적인 정보자원관리와 상호운용 및 통합을 향상시킬 수 있다.

자율운항선박 기술개발사업 중 2세부(자율운항선박 핵심 기관시스템 성능 모니터링 및 고장예측 진단 기술 개발) 과제는 자율운항선박의 추진 및 전력 생산을 담당하는 핵심 기관시스템의 운전 상태를 실시간 모니터링하여, 계측 데이터 기반의 고장 진단/예측을 수행하고 장애 발생 시 원격 지원체계를 통해 체계적/전문적 정비를 수행할 수 있도록 지원하는 기술이다. 자율운항선박은 선원이 없이 자율적으로 운항도 하지만, 핵심장비/기자재에 대해서도 실측 데이터를 기반으로 스스로 판단하여 고장여부에 대한 의사결정이 가능하여야 한다. 선박 기관시스템은 선박 운항의 안전과 정시 입·출항에 핵심이 되는 장비/기자재로써 자율운항선박 구현에 필요한 핵심 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 자율운항선박 핵심장비 중 보조기기 2종(Pump, Purifier), 배관(Seawater Pipe, Steam Pipe)의 성능 모니터링 및 고장예측/진단 소프트웨어를 개발하기 위한 연구를 수행한다.

인류의 생활터전인 공간과 시간에 대한 정보화를 통해 수치지도, 위성영상 등의 공간정보 활용이 급증하는 추세이다. 공간정보 처리 기술은 각각의 활용분야에 따라 제각기 발전하여 실제 업무에 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 각각의 독립적인 분야별 발전은 한계에 다다르기 마련이어서 공간정보를 통합함으로써 상승효과를 얻기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공간정보를 처리하는 GIS, SIIS, GNSS, ITS의 단위 기술들을 통합하기 위한 4S 기술에 대해 언급하고 공간정보를 연계하여 공동활용하기 위한 데이터 제공자 컴포넌트 및 4S 핵심 컴포넌트에 대해 살펴본다. 데이터 제공자 컴포넌트 기술은 저장형식과 상관없이 표준화된 인터페이스를 제공하여 공간정보를 공동활용하기 위한 기술이다. 4S 핵심 컴포넌트 기술은 단위 기술별로 공통된 핵심 기능들을 정의하고 컴포넌트로 개발하는 것이다. 데이터 제공자 컴포넌트 및 4S 핵심 컴포넌트 기술은 상이한 공간정보를 연계하는 응용 시스템 개발시에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다. 즉, 요구되는 기능에 해당하는 컴포넌트들을 조립식 블록처럼 조합하여 사용할 수 있도록 해준다.

The burden of injury is widely considered to be very severe in our society. Nonetheless, we don't have enough data for injury surveillance. The objective of this research is to select and supplement CORE DATA for injury surveillance. For this purpose, this study had analyzed the literature such as the Quality Assessment Report about 'Causes of Death Statistics', 'Health Insurance Statistics' and 'Hospital Discharge Injury Surveillance' according to the six dimension of Statistics Quality. The analysis result is that 'Cause of Death Statistics' and 'Health Insurance Statistics' have the usefulness as the CORE DATA for injury surveillance. But there is a significant shortcoming in the Health Insurance Statistics, which is that there is a lack of the data about the external causes of injury. For supplementing the defect, this study proposes the system that the medical institutions should obligatorily report the external causes of injury when claim National Health Insurance Medical Care Expenses. As the results of this system, we can expect 'Establishing of Injury pyramid', 'Data Connecting with the National Pension' and 'Improving the Promptness of Injury Data'. And we expect the follow-up study for the realization of this system.

The data center has become an increasingly important part of most business operations. An increasing demand for computation has led to increasing industry energy consumption. Therefore, higher-than-normal rates of energy efficiency have become a core issue in the life cycle of data center. In this paper, we proposed the framework of level diagnosis for green data centre that can be used to diagnose the levels of capability maturity model. This framework contains the 5 key areas such as construction, air-conditioning, electricity, information technology, organization and indicators that can be applied as basic level diagnosis guide for green data center.

YouTube videos of public institutions are digital public records that need to be managed and preserved. As such, the video and the metadata describing the video should also be preserved. This study aims to select the key metadata elements necessary for archiving videos published on YouTube by public institutions. To this end, five high-level areas, namely the description, structure, management, preservation, and user participation, and the metadata elements of 10 subareas, were designed by referring to NAK 8, PREMIS, ISAD(G), and YouTube metadata. Afterward, the metadata elements designed by 14 experts were verified. Lastly, the validity and reliability of the evaluation results were verified. Of the 63 elements, 33 satisfied the validity and reliability criteria. Thus, these elements were selected as the core metadata for archiving YouTube videos in public institutions.
