  • 0 동북아지역 경제의 급속한 성장과 남북경제교류 활성화로 수송 부문의 발달이 중요성을 더해 가고 있슴 0 그러나 지금까지 남북철도 연결에 관한 논의는 통일 후의 방안 만 고려되었을 뿐, 통일 전 남북철도 연결을 목표로 하는 구체 적 전략이 부재하였고, 특히 해운과의 경쟁력 비교시 철도시스 템에 대한 이해부족이 지적됨 0 남북 및 대륙연결 최적 철도망을 구축하기 위해서는 다음과 같 은 접근 방안이 효과적임 - 남북 철도연결은 순수 경제적 관점에서, 민간기업이 주체가 되어, 중국철도 등을 중개자로 하여 사업을 추진 - 단계적이며 실용적 접근전략에 따라, 1단계로는 경의선 만을 연결하고, 여객취급을 배제하며, 컨테이너 수송만으로 시작하다가, 광물자원 수송 등 확대 - 초기에는 남북간 수송보다는 한국과 중국 . 러시아 간의 컨테 이너 통과수송 취급에 중점 (북한의 수송수입 강조) - 경의선을 따라 남북 군사분계선 근처에 각측의 경계역을 만들 고, 상대촉 파견관의 검색 및 언수에 따라 열차가 휴전선을 통과하여, 반대펀 경계역에 이르면 기관차 및 승무원을 교체 하며, 화차는 일정 기간 이내 되돌려주는 방식 채택으로 남북 철도 시스댐 차이에 따른 기술적 문제 해소 0 대륙철도의 이용은 동북아 권역내 수송에 중점을 두되, E ESCAP의 활동에 따라 TCR,TSR을 이 용한 유럽 및 중동으로 의 수송도 추진하며, 남북 철도연결 추진과 병행하여 열차페리의 도입에 의한 철도- 해운 복합수송 방식의 활성화를 적극 검토활 것이 필요함

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of quality management system in the shipping companies on the job satisfaction, organizational commitment, management performance. The quality management system is divided into operational accountability, employee management, crewman management, ship management, and sailing management based on previous study. Targets of survey are companies which are registered in Korean ship owner's association and Korea ship manager's association as of 2011. A total of 236 questionnaires are collected from shipping companies in Basan and Kyongnam from October 15 through November 5 in 2011. The result shows that operational accountability and employee management of quality management systems are mightily important in the shipping company. In the future research, based on analysis of shipping company's characteristics, the study for shipping companies which are perceived by customers could be conducted.

Empirical Analysis on Rational Bubbles in Ship Prices (선박가격의 합리적 거품에 대한 실증 분석)

  • This study empirically tests the presence of rational bubbles in the ship prices using time series data from October 1996 to April 2017. To detect the existence of ship prices' rational bubbles, we use integration and cointegration tests, which were proposed by Campbell and Shiller(1987) and Diba and Grossman(1988), for circumventing misspecification of ship price model and applying the bubble test to nonstationary time series. The result of integration test supports existence of tanker price's rational bubble. The co-integration test also shows that drybulk ship and containership prices have been overvalued relative to the market fundamental, drybulk and container freight rates, due to non-stationary rational bubbles. These results provide Korean shipping industry and authorities implications that anticyclical ship investment and long-term and steady fleet capacity expansion policy are needed.

컨테이너 터미널의 내륙운송 효율화를 위한 플랫폼 개발 모델 구축

  • 4차 산업혁명의 가속화에 따라 해운 항만 산업 분야 또한 정보적 측면에서 빅 데이터에 대한 업종별 통합과 공유를 통해 연계 산업 간 산업활동 효율화를 위한 노력이 요구된다. 현재 물류 분야에 다양한 플랫폼들이 도입되고 있지만 대부분 화물운송업 또는 창고 중개업 분야에 편중되어 있다. 항만산업의 경우 코로나 펜데믹 이후 발생한 컨테이너 반입 제한 및 장치율 증가 등에 따라 운송사와 컨테이너터미널 간 갈등이 지속적으로 유발되는 상황이 발생되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 플랫폼을 활용한 컨테이너터미널과 운송사 간 플랫폼 개발의 필요성을 인지하고 상호 기업 간 연계 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하였으며 산업 관계자인 컨테이너터미널 운영사, 운송사, 포워더 업종 종사자들을 대상으로 설문지 기반 실증 분석을 수행하였다. 결과적으로 EFA를 통해 추출된 14가지 요인으로 IPA 분석을 수행한 결과 1사분면(사용 용이성, 보안성, 정보 정확성, 정보 적시성, 차량 반출/반입정보, 공컨테이너 반입/반출 정보, 풀컨테이너 반입/반출정보)으로 품질에 대한 지속적인 개선이 수행되어야 하며 2사분면(APP 시스템 품질)에 대한 고려가 종합적으로 수행되어야 함이 도출되었다. 또한, 플랫폼 개발의 주체와 이용자의 참여 유도가 필요하며 상호 이해관계자 간 효율적인 연계와 효율화를 위한 인식 구조 개선이 필요하다고 나타났다. 연구결과는 향후 컨테이너터미널과 내륙운송의 효율적인 연계를 위한 플랫폼 구축에 중대한 시사점을 제공한다.

A Study on Logistics Integration Strategies of Korean Shipping Companies (국내 해운기업의 물류통합 전략에 대한 연구)

  • After the COVID-19 pandemic, a global economic downturn and a recession in the shipping market are expected, it is important for domestic shipping companies to establish appropriate strategy in response to the recession. Accordingly, domestic shipping companies should grow into integrated logistics companies that combine shipping and logistics in the future. And for this purpose, it is necessary to actively promote logistics integration with external shipping and logistics companies. This paper presents the direction of logistics integration for domestic shipping companies to develop as integrated logistics operators with competitiveness in the global shipping market, and presents detailed alternatives. Domestic shipping companies lack the infrastructure such as ships, port terminals, and warehouses, so they have a weak capacity to independently promote logistics integration. At the shipping company level, a logistics integration promotion strategy should be established, and accordingly, logistics infrastructure, service network, and logistics integration operating system should be established. The government should provide tax benefits for logistics integration, financial support for M&As led by domestic shipping companies, a standardized information sharing system, and preparation of educational courses for nurturing digital manpower.

An Exploratory Study on Management Performance of Logistics Companies in Japan (일본 물류기업의 경영성과에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the characteristics of change in economic indicators logistics business performance indicators in Japan over the past decade. We compare the differences in management performance of groups related to logistics business strategy. This is because we want to show that the logistics business strategy is reflected in the management performance. Research methods include correlation analysis, crossover analysis, and variance analysis. The main results are as follows. First, logistic companies' sales are highly correlated with economic indicators such as GDP, trade value, and stock price. Second, there is a correlation between the business sectors and the proportion of tangible assets. It is understood that different business strategies are appropriate for each industry and each period. Third, the effects of business strategy variables on business performance variables were significant. In particular, the interaction effect of three variables showed a difference in the effect on the yield. The results of this study provide a better understanding of how logistics companies achieve a high performance in the changing economic environment over the past decade.

A Priority Analysis of the Infrastructure for the Logistics Industry in Gwangyang Port (광양항 물류산업 인프라 우선순위 분석)

  • Gwangyang port has aimed to establish and expand infrastructure since 2004 as a way of logistics industry development plan for activation of port and increase in traffic. However, it faces many changes due to reduced development of Gwangyang port, slowdown of traffic, and decrease in terminal operators. The need for review of plan and direction regarding infra is on the rise at this point for the purpose of ensuring the stable growth foothold of Gwangyang port and attaining independence of Port. This report focuses on the software infrastructure improvement alternative rather than hardware infrastructure. To analyze the priority of this alternative, AHP technique was applied as a research methodology. In this study, as a measure for decision-making, profitability, ease, urgency, and prospects have been selected, and alternatively, buildup of global networking, training of logistics professionals, operation of environment-friendly & low cost port, and development of specialized logistics companies have been selected. Survey has been conducted toward shipping companies which use Gwangyang port, port operators, hinterland logistics companies and consignor' logistics professionals. As a result of survey, the priorities of measuring range were shipping companies, port operators, consignor, and hinterland logistics companies. Meanwhile, the priorities of measuring elements were profitability, prospects, urgency and then ease. The priorities of alternatives were found to be a buildup of global networking, operation of environment-friendly & low cost port, development of specialized logistics companies and training of logistics professionals.

Effects of Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Turnover Intentions in Marine Officers as Mediated by Organizational Commitment (해기사의 조직시민행동이 조직몰입을 매개로 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The marine officer plays a pivotal role in the shipping organization as a professional who performs a complex and diverse function. On the sea, unlike land duty, the possibility of turnover increases due to characteristics such as living in isolated spaces, continuous shift work during a set sailing period, high intensity work tension, stress, and social isolation. In this study, the impact of the organization's civic actions on the intention of turnover as a mediator of organizational immersion was divided into three groups of large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and public enterprises to check the differences between each category in a structural manner. Analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between the groups in loyalty and turnover intention when the sub-factors of organizational commitment and organizational citizen behavior of the marine officer, and the size of turnover intention were included. Organization citizen behavior did not directly affect turnover intention, but when indirect effects were included, there was an effect through loyalty, and relationship-oriented organizational citizen behavior negatively affected turnover intention through loyalty. Excluding public enterprises, the non-standardization path coefficients were -0.229±0.117 and -0.319±0.068, respectively, showing a statistically significant effect in large companies and SMEs. These results indicate that in order to lower the employee turnover intention in large corporations and small and medium-sized shipping companies, it is necessary to consider not only organizational citizen behavior but also measures to increase organizational commitment.
