Research of the Objective Quality Comparison of Underwater Cameras (수중 촬영용 카메라의 객관적 화질 비교에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, the demand for underwater or underwater photography is growing very fast. Its coverage of underwater shooting for broadcasting, leisure and sports, and military and operational use is also growing rapidly. Among them, we specifically select the best camera to be used in underwater drones to photograph and inspect marine life attached to the ship's hull. To compare three cameras performance, they are compared and evaluated using objective and subjective criteria in special circumstances such as underwater shooting. This study checks whether performance criteria, such as resolution of a camera, meet objective and subjective standards in the unusual situation of underwater shooting. And it shows that in addition to the filter that calibrates the image, proper camera selection is important for providing good picture quality. Even after this study, research using more diverse cameras could provide an appropriate standard for comparison of underwater camera quality.

  • This study relates to the development of a wearable device that can identify a personal location using low-power GPS and IMU based on energy harvesting. The energy harvesting technology using a piezoelectric device was applied for the development of personal location identification, and made it possible to acquire precise personal location data using GPS and IMU. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that GPS and IMU data were normally received. The personal location identification device can be prepared for an accident by identifying a personal location in a disaster area, etc., and the user will be able to use it easily regardless of time, place, and environment. It is expected that it can be used in various fields such as leisure and health care.

Hydrodynamic Response Analysis of Hybrid Floating Structure according to Length of Damping Plate (수평감쇠판 길이에 따른 하이브리드 부유식 구조물의 거동 특성 분석)

  • New businesses such as marine leisure and floating construction have recently flourished on the coast. As a result, consideration is given to a floating structure appropriate for marine environments. In this study, we applied a damping plate to increase the stability of a hybrid floating structure that was expanded by vertical and horizontal stacking of mobile unit modules. In the numerical analysis using ANSYS AQWA, the behavioral characteristics of the floating structure were analyzed according to the length change of the damping plate. However, the wave forces acting on a floating structure are excessively calculated by the resonance of fluid surrounded by the structure in the numerical analysis using potential flow. Therefore, we used the damping zone option of the ANSYS AQWA in the frequency domain analysis.

  • According to growing the leisure boat market, safety-related and weather information have been required by different users with different electronic devices. NAVTEX messages transmitting worldwide from local stations are a kind of useful service, even for non mandatory carriage requirement vessel, such as small or fishing vessels. However, it is not easy for all users to recognize intuitively. This paper is to implement the NAVTEX message on tablet PC, indicating warning positions of message on Android-based google map.

  • 해저 해빈모래가 다량 유실되어 이 지역의 장기관리를 위해 침식구간에 대한 지속적인 모니터링 작업이 필요하다. 그러나 각 구청은 지형변화 분석 작업 없이, 양빈작업에 급급하고 있어 장기효과가 나타나지 않고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 수심측량 및 GPS 측량을 통해 해저 해빈지대의 정확한 공간자료를 구축, RS GIS 기법을 도입하여 지형변화를 정량 정성적으로 탐지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 해운대 해저지형은 과도한 도시개발과 하천복개공사로 지난 25년간, 평균수심 0.40m, 수표면적 $11,028m^2$, 수중체적 $2,207,884m^3$ 가량 침식되었다. 해빈지형은 지난 5년간, 평균고도 0.27m, 총면적 $6,501m^2$, 총체적 $25,667m^3$ 가량 퇴적되었다. 이의 원인은 지오그리드의 설치로 해빈모래가 서측까지 도달하지 못하고, 계절영향으로 사료된다. 본 연구는 해저 해빈지형의 정확한 측량작업으로 해안 및 지형변화에 관한 모니터링 작업을 실시하여 연안침식 현황을 분석하고, 양빈작업 및 안전한 해양레저 활동, 해수욕장 관리에 필요한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

플로팅 건축물 특성을 고려한 냉난방 부하산정 요소에 관한 연구

  • 최근 국내에서는 경제적 여유와 함께 웰빙에 관심이 높아지며 도심생활에서 벗어나 수변공간, 해양레저활동 등이 주목받고 있다. 이에 따라 수상에서의 다양한 활동을 수용할 수 있는 플로팅 건축물에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으며, 플로팅 건축물을 이용한 다양한 용도와 기능의 건축물들이 수상에 설치되고 있다. 플로팅 건축물 역시 사람들의 생활을 위한 공간으로 육상의 일반 건축물과 같이 쾌적한 거주환경 제공을 위하여 다양한 설비들이 설치되고 있다. 하지만 플로팅 건축물은 수상에 위치한 입지적 특성으로 인하여 육상의 일반건축물과 다른 환경적 요인을 고려한 설비시스템 도입이 필요함에도 불구하고 수상환경을 고려한 설비시스템의 설치는 이루어지지 않고 있다. 특히, 실내의 쾌적한 거주환경 유지를 위하여 중요한 요소인 냉난방설비는 충분한 성능을 발휘하기 위하여 시스템설계 전 충분한 환경적 요소를 고려한 부하산정이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 플로팅 건축물의 입지적 특성을 고려하여 냉난방 시스템 설계 시 일반건축물에 적용되는 부하산정 요소 외 해수온도, 해수면 반사일사 및 창면적비를 부하산정 요소로 도입하고 각 요소별 특성을 고찰하여 플로팅 건축물 냉난방부하에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 종합적으로 고찰하였다.

Management of water quality by estimated the point source in Mokpo inner bay (점 오염원 조사를 통한 목포 내항의 수질관리)

  • The results of COD researched on August of 2004 were 6.8 ppm in North Mokpo inner Bay, 4.4 ppm in front of YongSang Bank and 4.6 ppm in front of ShinAn Beach Hotel which is over III level Marine-Environmental Standard. The other five stations sea water quality of Mokpo inner bay were reached II-III level. Concentration of total nitrogen range from 1.23 ppm to 3.56 ppm and total phosphorous was range from 0.07 ppm to 0.12 ppm which were II-III level. This results show that the Mokpo inner bay is unsuitable for aquaculture and growth of fish and for use of marine resort, it can be only available for industrial and harbour use. In results of estimated point source flow into Mokpo inner bay, the occupation ratio from YoungSang river in total inflow of TN and TP were up to 49-89 % respectively. It is indicate that in order to improve the water quality of MokPo inner bay have to control the discharge from YoungSang river first of all, then control the discharge from North Harbour domestic wastewater treatment, InAm river and NamHae domestic wastewater treatment.

  • In the midst of continuing international recession, the rate of maritime traffic and marine leisure markets are consistently growing. The Republic of Korea controls the marine traffic volume through vessel traffic centers and various other management facilities. Nevertheless, the continuous growth and complexity of marine traffic is resulting in repeated occurrences of marine accidents. Recovery is very difficult in cases of human injuries or deaths caused by marine accidents due to its nature, and the scale of marine accidents is also becoming greater with advanced ship building technologies. Passenger ships, oil tankers, and other such vessels used for specific purposes requires a more detailed navigational status surveillance and analysis, and numerous research has been conducted with an objective for monitoring such special purpose vessels. However, the data elements transmitted from the ocean to the shore station are limited to AIS and ARPA. We are implementing IoT ship sensor collection and a syncing system capable of transmitting various ship sensing data to the shore station, and also proposing a Safe Navigation Status Analysis System utilizing the collected data.

  • The results of COD concentration on August of 2004 were 6.80 ppm in North Mokpo Inner Bay, 4.42 ppm un front of YongSang Bank and 4.60 ppm in front of ShinAn Beach Hotel which is over III level Marine Environmental Standard. The others researched five stations sea water quality of Mokpo inner bay are reached II-III level. This results show that the Mokpo inner bay is unsuitable for aquaculture and for use of marine resort, it can be only avaliable for industrial and harbour port use. In this study, we researched 12 point source flow into Mokpo Inner bay. The rate from YoungSang river in total inflow of TN was up to 70-93 % and rate of TP was up to 31-91 % respectively. In this results, we have to control the discharge from YoungSang river first of all then control the discharge from North Harbour domestic wastewater treatment, InAm river and NamHae domestic wastewater treatment in order to improve the water quality of Mokpo Inner bay.

  • In recent, the maritime traffic has increased with an increase in international trading volumes and the growing popularity of marine leisure activities. As increasing of maritime traffic, marine accidents happened continually and there are possibilities of accidents at sea. According to the analysis of marine accidents, most accidents occurred by human error of seafarers. To reduce the accidents by human error, the various assistance system for assist seafarers have been proposed. It is required to real-time data management method for applying to real-time system, but most proposed assistance system used off-line data for analysis. In this paper, we aim to build a navigation supporting system for providing safety information to deck officer with data of AIS(Automatic Identification System) and ARPA Radar(Automatic Radar Plotting Aids Radar), and proposed a management algorithm for real-time ship information with blackboard system and verified the validity.
