A Validity Study on Brand Identity-based Strategy Model for Culture Content's One Source Multi Use : A Case Study on (브랜드 아이덴티티 기반 OSMU 전략 모델의 타당성 연구 : <해리포터 (Harry Potter)>를 중심으로)

  • According to many researches on brand management, the decision makings on brand marketing should center on the brand identity. Based on the brand management theory, Brand Identity-based OSMU Strategy has been suggested, in which the decision makings for culture content's OSMU should be focused on the brand identity of content to maximize the brand equity. In this study, the effectiveness of suggested brand identity-based OSMU strategy model is empirically studied, together with the effect on the brand equity. The study on the consumer's attitude toward the Harry Potter T-shirt with the associations of 'magic, courage and confrontation against evil' proved that consumers respond more favorably in terms of their recognition of the fit-to-content, preference and perceived quality. With this result, the positive effect of brand identity-based OSMU on consumer attitude is verified. On the other hand, the study on the effect of brand identity bearing T-shirt on brand equity did not support the hypothesis that the brand identity-based OSMU has the positive feedback effect on the brand equity of culture content. Still, while the brand equity is established through the long period of time with consumer's consistent experience on the certain culture content, the effect of brand identity-based OSMU on brand equity has a room for further discussion and research. While the ultimate goal of marketing is to create the power brand with high brand value, the further discussion on the effective culture content OSMU strategy to create a power brand is needed.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the sensibilities of audiences about the buildings and backgrounds in the movie with Harry Potter, a magic movie. For this purpose, the sensibility vocabulary suitable for the background of the movie was derived. I expect that the building background of the movie will have an sensibility impact on the audience and I hope that it will help to understand the Western classical Gothic style and culture in an emotional aspect.

  • 그림자극은 중국의 오래된 민간 전통 공연 예술이며 초기 중국영화에서 많이 이용했다. 지금 시대에 3D 및 입체 영화를 위주로 하는 추세에서 2D형식의 표현 기법인 그림자극은 어떻게 변화해야 할 것이고 고유의 특성을 발전시킬 것인가? 먼저 그림자극은 비주류 애니메이션 형식으로서 표현의 한계를 가지고 있으므로, 이러한 평면적 예술 기법을 사용하는 영화의 표현형식 및 표현 내용을 고려해야 한다. 둘째 이런 예술 표현기법의 특성과 현대 컴퓨터기술을 서로 결합한 것은 그림자극을 계승 발전시킬 수 있는 요소이다.

  • 애니메이션 시장이 대표적인 제조업인 조선시장보다 크고, 게임시장도 최근 반도체 시장을 앞질렀다는 통계가 나왔다. 해리포터, 포켓몬, 아기공룡 둘리, 마시마로 등은 소설이나 만화원작에서 출발해 애니메이션과 영화, 게임, 캐릭터 등으로 재창조되며 어마 어마한 수익을 만들어내고 있다. 세계경제는 현재 제조업 중심에서 서비스업 중심으로 체질개선이 빠르게 진행되고 있으며, 그 중에서도 지식기반 서비스산업이 핵심적인 분야로 부상하고 있다. 특히 디지털기술이 빠르게 확산되면서‘콘텐츠 기반경제’로 이행 하고 있다는 전망도 나오고 있다. 이러한 변화에 어떻게 대응하는지에 따라 우리나라의 장래는 달라질 것이다. 이에 <디지털콘텐츠>는 국내 디지털콘텐츠 산업현황과 발전과제를 점검하는 시간을 가졌다. 이날 좌담회에 참석한 김근태 한국콘텐츠산업연합회장, 김주혁 한국무선인터넷솔루션협회장, 이용규 중앙대학교 교수, 임동근 한국게임산업연합회장(가나다순) 등 참석자들은 특히 게임 산업에 대해 목소리를 높였고 정부의 정책적 지원이 적절히 이뤄져야 한다는데 의견을 모았다.

Repeated Reading Experience of Senior High School Girl: Centered on Jeonju Girls' High School Freshmen (여고생들의 반복독서 경험에 관한 연구 - 전주여고 1학년 학생들을 중심으로 -)

  • The goal of this study is to examine what sort of books girl's high school students read repeatedly, what are the different preferences between high school and university students. how much the repeatedly-read books are related to the most memorable books and how the repeatedly-read books are connected to reading habits. A questionnaire was provided to Jeonju Girls' High School Freshmen and their repeated reading experiences were searched. The results of the statistical analysis are summarized: 1) Most girls' high school students have experienced repeated reading more than twice. 2) The number of girls' high school students who have experienced repeated reading twice is the highest and next. those who have read repeatedly 3 times. Also, the number of times of repeated reading tends to be similar between woman high school and College students. 3) The books which many students read repeatedly more than twice are : a) Little Prince b) The Myth of Greece and Rome c) Chinese nine spine stickle back d) Meu Pe de Larania Lima e) Giving Tree f) Harry Potter. 4) About half of the students have read the most memorable books many times. 5) The importance of books was evaluated on the basis of the number of repeated readers and the number of readings. The order of the important books is Little Prince, The Myth of Greece and Rome, Harry Potter, Giving Tree, Meu Pe de Larania Lima, Chinese Nine Spine Stickle Back.

  • The goal of this study is to examine what sort of books people read repeatedly, what are the different preferences between men and women, how much the repeatedly-read books are related to the most memorable books and how the repeatedly-read books are connected to reading habits. The order of the important books is Three Romans of 3 kingdoms, Little Prince, Da Vinci Code, Meu Pe do Larania Lima, Tuesdays with Mollie, Harry Potter, and The Myth of Greece and Rome. 6) The preferred books by male college students are mostly the stories of fighters while female likes books that contain deep emotion and morality. More than half of the males' repeated reading was Romance of 3 Kingdoms while the preferred books of females are distributed widely.

Robust Detection of Abandoned Objects Using Visual Context (시각적 정황을 이용한 가림 현상에 강건한 버려진 물체 검출)

  • In this paper, we propose abandoned object detection algorithm. When abandoned object was occluded other object, the existing methods cannot detect abandoned object because those methods are not able to estimate the location of abandoned object. In order to overcome this problem, the proposed algorithm extracts the corners around abandoned object. The detected corners are linked to center of abandoned object called by supporters. We can then estimate the location of abandoned object by using supporters. Therefore, the proposed algorithm can detect and estimate the location of abandoned object, when abandoned object is occluded by other object. For this reason, the proposed algorithm can be applied to intelligent surveillance system to prevent bomb terror, which disguises as luggage or box.
