To investigate the characteristics of the nitrogen mineralization of oil cakes according to changes in temperature(10, 20, $30^{\circ}C$) moisture(40, 50, 60, 70% of field capacity in loam and 50, 60, 70, 80% of field capacity in sandy loam), mineral nitrogen was measured in soil after incubation for 30 days. In addition, the mineralization in sandy loam and loam which had different soil texture were compared. According to incubating the castor seed, soybean, and rice bran cakes with soil, the higher the temperature and moisture content were, the higher the content of mineral nitrogen was observed. The content of mineral nitrogen was higher in sandy loam than loam. The content of mineral nitrogen was decreased with soil depth increasing and was also higher in sandy loam than loam.

In this study, the thermal reliability on flip chip package with non-conductive pastes (NCPs) was evaluated under accelerated conditions. As the number of thermal shock cycle and the dwell time of temperature and humidity condition increased, the electrical resistance of the flip chip package with NCPs increased. These phenomenon was occurred by the crack between Au bump and Au bump and the delamination between chip or substrate and NCPs during the thermal shock and temperature and humidity tests. And the variation of electrical resistance during temperature and humidity test was larger than that during thermal shock test. Therefore it was identified that the flip chip package with NCPs was sensitive to environment with moisture.
This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant and synergistic effects upon different concentration(0.02, 0.1, 1%) of tryptophan and arginine of soybean oil during incubation at $60^{\circ}C$. Peroxide value(POV), acid value(AV) and thiobarbituric acid(TBA) value of each oil were monitored. Tryptophan and arginine showed antioxidative effects in all concentration. In case of incubating antioxidative effect of tryptophan was similar to that of TBHQ that of arginine was considerably higher than that of ${\alpha}-tocopherol$, but was lower than that of tryptophan. Synergistic effects among tryptophan, arginine and some food antioxidant were shown to be available in all substrates and the best effect was shown in substrate added compound of tryptophan and ${\alpha}-tocopherol$.
Acid type saturated Weston cells that can be used as the standard of electromotive force unit were constructed and their characteristics in a specially designed enclosure were evaluated. Cadmium sulfate was purified by recrystallization under vaccum. Mercurous sulfate with dispersed mercury and the exact composition of cadmium amalgam were obtained by means of electrolysis. The enclosure was constructed using a commercial circulator. Temperature of the enclosure was only drifted in the range of ${\pm}$5 mK in the case of extreme change of room temperature. The electromotive force of standard cells was measured over the temperature range of 5∼${\sim} 30^{\circ}C$. The standard deviation of the electromotive forces was about 1 ppm.
Iron- silicide has been produced by mechanical alloying process and consolidated by hot pressing. As-consolidated iron silicides were consisted of $\beta$-FeSi$_2$ phase, and untransformed mixture of $\alpha$-$Fe_2Si_5$ and $\varepsilon$-FeSi phases. Isothermal annealing has been carried out to induce the transformation to a thermoelectric semiconducting $\beta$-$FeSi_2$ phase. The condition for $\beta$-FeSi$_2$ transformation was investigated by utilizing DTA, SEM, TEM and XRD analysis. The phase transformation was shown to be taken place by a vacuum isothermal annealing at $830^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. The mechanical and thermoelectric properties of $\beta$-FeSi$_2$ materials before and after isothermal annealing were characterized in this study.
The behaviors of inorganic nitrogen derived from solid animal waste in soil has been received too much concern partly because nitrate which occurred from nitrification can act as a pollutant to soil and groundwater and partly because the loss of nitrogen from surface soil by downward movement of water is disadvantageous in the view of plant nutrient. This present study was conducted to get fundamental imformations on nitrogen behavior and to provide improved basical concepts on the management of animal waste. Fresh or fermented pig manure was mixed with a sandy loam soil in the ratio of 2:1(soil:pig manure), packed into test tube and incubated at $30^+/-1^{\circ}C$ for 8 weeks under aerobic- or anaerobic condition. Sample tubes were taken at the one week interval and analyzed on pH, the amount of $CH_4$ produced under anaerobic condition and inorganic nitrogen. The pH of soil treated with fresh pig manure under anaerobic condition was lowered by 1.87 unit compared to that of under aerobic condition, but at the treatment with fermented pig manure, pH change was very little between aerobic and anaerobic condition. The coefficients of regressional equations which were obtained from pH and incubation time were -0.114 in fresh pig manure and -0.089 in fermented pig manure, and the extent of pH decrease due to incubation was greater in fresh pig manure than that of fermented pig waste. No differences in the amounts of $CH_4$ produced under anaerobic condition between fresh and fermented pig manure was observed until 3 weeks of incubation, however, after that the amount of $CH_4$ produced in fresh pig manure was abruptly increased and cumulative amont of $CH_4$ was reached 8.6 mole/g. K values on $CH_4$ production in fresh and fermented pig manure was 0.211 mole/g/day and 0.046 mole/g/day, respectively, for 5 weeks from the 3rd to the 8th week. $NH_4-N$ concentration at aerobic condition with fresh pig manure treatment was lowered by passing time of incubation, but $NO_3-N$ concentration was elevated from 11.2 ppm at initial state to 67.3 ppm after incubation and this trend on $NH_4-N$, $NO_3-N$ concentration was very similar to the treatment of fermented pig manure. While $NH_4-N$ concentration under anaerobic condition was greatly increased. $NO_3-N$ concentartion was not only very low but also no great changes, that was ranged from 4 to 8 ppm.
A laboratory study was cunducted to obtain fundamental informations on environmental-conservative treatment technique of soiled animalwaste. The release rate of inorganic nitrogen which mineralized from solid pigwaste and the effect of nitrification inhibitor(Dicyandiamide, DCD) on nitrate concentration of fresh or fermented pigwaste were weekly checked for ten weeks under incubation condition. Average pH of soild pigwaste was maintained over 8 unit during all incubation periods with no difference by nitrification inhibitor addition and the pHs of fresh- or fermented pigwaste without DCD were elevated by passing time 0.04, 0.058 pH unit/week (P<0.05) during incubation. While $NH_4-N$ concentration of fermented pigwaste until two week was nearly the same as it before incubation, $NH_4-N$ concentration of fresh pigwaste was remarkably increased upto 3,732 ppm for 1 week after incubation and the portion of increased $NH_4-N$ concentration, 2,473 ppm was 20.1% of indigenous organic nitrogen of fresh pigwaste. By the passing incubation time, $NH_4-N$ concentration began to lower linearly at not only fresh- but fermented pigwaste after 1 or 2 week, respectively and the $NH_4-N$ concentration loss rate at fresh pigwaste was 61.8 ppm/week with DCD addition and 72.3ppm/week with no DCD. There was positive relationship between $NO_3-N$ concentrations of fresh pigwaste by the addition of DCD or not and $NO_3-N$ concentraion was significantly lowered with DCD treatment($r=0.79^{**}$).

All evacuated tube collector is being constantly studied since it can reduce the conductive heat loss in absorber by using vacuum technology and has advantage of heat transport capacity and quick thermal response in comparatively small temperature difference. This study investigated the dynamic thermal performance of the solar collector with the control condition of solar irradiance and fluid temperature by using performance experimental apparatus which is combined with solar collector and refrigerator, examined the thermal characteristics in definite temperature range of fluid in constant temperature tank by simultaneously measuring refrigerating performance. As a result of it, I deducted the related equation of collector efficiency and found that mean collector efficiency has increased through quick heat transfer characteristics according to increase of outdoor temperature and irradiance in case of outlet temperature of constant temperature tank $22^{\circ}C$ when set outlet temperature of solar collector $25^{\circ}C$ with outlet temperature of constant temperature tank $18^{\circ}C$ & $22^{\circ}C$. Also COP of refrigerator was acquired value of 6.2~7.1 at outlet temperature of constant temperature tank $18^{\circ}C$.
