LNG/LPG marine accident scenarios considered relevant for building (LNG/LPG관련 해양사고 시나리오 구축에 대한 고찰)

  • LNG/LPG는 폭발가능성이 크기 때문에 매우 위험한 물질이다. LNG/LPG는 gas상태의 연료를 극 초저온에 고 압력 상태로 고농축한 액체 연료이다. 온도나 압력에 따라 물질의 상태가 변하기 때문에 폭발이나 화재가 일어날 수 있다. 하지만 무조건 사고가 일어나는 것은 아니며 현재까지도 화재나 폭발이 일어난 경우가 드물다. LNG/LPG선박은 충돌이나 파손 등 사고위기가 클수록 위험하다. 사고위기가 일어나는 요소로는 복잡한 항로, 많은 선박 수, 해마다 증가하는 LNG/LPG의 수요량 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 LNG/LPG관련 해양사고 시나리오를 만들기 위해 사고 연계 고리(Accident chain)를 만들어 분석하였다. 해양사고의 연계 고리를 만들기 위해서는 story가 필요하다는 것을 알게 되었고, Risk를 통해 Peril과 Hazard를 분석 할 수 있었다. LNG/LPG의 위험성은 고압에 기인하는 위험, 화재위험, 동상위험, 화학반응의 위험, 질식 위험 등으로 분류 할 수 있었다. 아직까지는 LNG/LPG선박의 화재 및 폭발사고는 거의 일어나지 않았으나 매년 그 수요량이 증가하고 있고, 매우 위험한 물질임을 본 연구를 통해 알 수 있었다.

A Study on the Evaluation of the Functionality of Shipping Logistics Platform Using IPA Analysis (IPA분석을 활용한 해운물류 플랫폼 구성기능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to extract and evaluate the factors to improve the quality of shipping logistics platform suggested as an alternative to the stagnant shipping logistics industry. For this, we selected factors through previous research and expert interviews, and conducted surveys on carriers, forwarders, shippers, and platform operators with experience using shipping logistics platforms. As a method of analysis, quality evaluation of the shipping logistics platform was conducted using IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis). The results of this study are as follows "Competitiveness of services provided", "Connectivity with other transportation mode", "Competitiveness of freight", "Transparency of freight", and "Stability of booking space". For the shipping logistics platform to be activated in the future, priority should be given to focusing on these factors. This study has academic significance for establishing configuration function of shipping logistics platform and deriving evaluation factor. Additionally it is an industrial significance for suggesting strategies to improve users' participation in the shipping logistics platform.

  • The rapid growth of e-commerce market and changes in distribution channels and consumption patterns have brought about the continuous growth of the domestic parcel service market. To cope with the growth and environmental changes of the parcel service market, parcel companies have made efforts to improve logistics process and construct an information system for customer satisfaction. Since they have focused on a high quality parcel service through a variety of information technology rather than price competition, the importance of logistics information technology has been greatly perceived. Accordingly, this study examined that how information technology and information system quality of parcel companies was perceived by customers and how it influenced parcel service use and satisfaction. To achieve this purpose, this study developed a valid and reliable measurement instrument for logistics information system quality and customer satisfaction based on literature reviews. Then empirical research was made through a questionnaire survey. As a result, six determinants of logistics information system quality were derived: economy, SMS information, tracking web-site information, stability, speed, and accuracy. All factors but economy were found to have positive effects on customer satisfaction in parcel service. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications of the findings were also discussed.

  • 부유식 라이다는 해상풍력단지 조성시 필수적으로 수행하고 있는 풍황관측 업무에 새로운 패러다임을 제공하고 있는 시스템으로, 전통적으로 풍황관측을 수행하고 있던 해상기상관측탑을 대체하여 사업 초기의 대규모 공사를 획기적으로 축소하여 시간과 비용을 절약하고, 환경적 영향을 최소화 하며, 지역사회의 반발 요소까지 줄일 수 있어 해당 업계의 표준으로 자리잡고 있는 중이다. 다만 부표식의 동요에 따른 외란적 요소가 관측자료의 신뢰성에 영향을 미치는 만큼 안정적인 플랫폼의 설계 및 검증이 매우 중요한 상황이며, 국내에서는 해당기술에 대한 늦은 진입으로 인해 다수의 외산장비 제조사들이 국내시장까지 선점하고 있는 상황이다. 한국의 서해안은 천해 환경으로 조석차가 매우 커 지역에 따라 강한 조류가 반복적으로 나타나며, 계절별로 상이한 강한 에너지의 파랑이 형성되는 등 플랫폼에 안정도에 많은 영향을 미치는 바다 환경을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 복잡한 환경적 특성을 갖고 있는 우리나라의 해역에 라이다 운영에 적합한 부표식에 대한 연구를 수행하며, 우선적으로 적용하였던 선박형 부표식의 최적화 설계 및 검증 사례를 소개하고, 향후 다양한 플랫폼 개발에 토대가 되는 중요 개념을 도출하고자 한다.

The Case Study on Risk Assessment and Probability of Failure for Port Structure Reinforced by DCM Method (심층혼합처리공법이 적용된 항만 구조물의 파괴확률과 위험도 평가에 관한 사례 연구)

  • In this study, the evaluation to probability of failure for risk assessment of port structures on DCM reinforced soils, where stability and risk assessment are increasing in importance, was performed. As a random variables affecting the risk of DCM improved ground, the design strength, superposition (overlap) of construction, strength of the natural ground, internal friction angle and unit weight of the modified ground were selected and applied to the risk assessment. In addition, the failure probability for the entire system under ordinary conditions and under earthquake conditions were analyzed. As a result, it was found that the highest coefficient of variation in the random variable for the risk assessment of the DCM improved ground is the design strength, but this does not have a great influence on the safety factor, ie, the risk of the system. The main risk factor for the failure probability of the system for the DCM reinforced soils was evaluated as horizontal sliding in case of external stability and compression failure in case of internal stability both at ordinary condition and earthquake condition. In addition, the failure probability for ordinary horizontal sliding is higher than that for earthquake failure, and the failure probability for ordinary compression failure is lower than that for earthquake failure. The ordinary failure probability of the entire system is similar to the failure probability on earthquake condition, but in this case, the risk of earthquake is somewhat higher.

Effective Simulation Technology for Near Shore Current Flow (연안해수유동에 관한 효율적인 수치계산기법)

  • The three-dimensional multi-layer computer simulation technology for tidal current developed in the previous study is updated to a new version. many improvements are achieved by following changes : (1) No-reflection condition is adopted instead of no-gradient condition as an open boundary condition. (2) Time marching algorithm is changed so that velocity and pressure(surface movement) might be salved in turn at different time step (3) Convection term in equation of motion is estimated by upwind differencing scheme instead of central differencing. The stability is improved considerably and the steady state is achieved within 2 tidal periods which is about 3 times shorter than that of the old version. Moreover, fluctuations in time disappeared by introducing the new time marching technique. An application to the real near shore area(near Inchon harbor) is performed by the new version. Simulated results are compared with those by the simulation total developed in the University of Tokyo. Validity and effectiveness of the two simulation technologies are chocked through the comparative research works.

  • 우리나라 헌법에는 소작제도를 금지하고 있다. 즉 땅주인은 소유농지를 타인에게 임대 또는 사용대하는 것을 금지하고 있다. 다만 농업의 생산성 제고와 농지의 합리적인 이용을 위하거나 불가피한 사정이 있는 경우에 한해 법률로 임대차를 인정하고 있다. 헌법 제121조 제2항에 "비농가,전업,은퇴 또는 영농규모를 축소하는 농가등으로부터 농지를 장기임차하여 이를 쌀전업농 등에게 장기 임대함으로써 임차농가의 안정된 영농보장과 전업농가의 자립여건 조성에 기여하고 있습니다."에 의해 허용하고 있다.

Comparative analysis of caisson sections of composite breakwaters evaluated by Level I reliability-based design method (Level I 신뢰성 기반 설계법에 의해 산정된 혼성제 케이슨 단면의 비교 분석)

  • A methodology has been presented for evaluating the partial safety factors on the sliding failure mode of vertical caissons of composite breakwaters and for determining the cross sections of those by Level I reliability-based design method. Especially, a mathematical model has been suggested for the sake of a consistency of code format as well as convenience of application in practical design, for which the uncertainties associated with buoyancy and its own weight can be taken into account straightforwardly. Furthermore, design criteria equation has been derived by considering accurately the effect of uplift pressure, so that the cross sections of caissons can be assessed which must be safe against the sliding failure. It has been found that cross sections estimated from partial safety factors proposed in this paper are in very good agreement with the results of Level II AFDA and Level III MCS under the same target probability of failure. However, partial safety factors of the Technical Standards and Commentaries for Port and Harbour Facilities in Japan and Coastal Engineering Manual in USA tend to estimate much bigger or smaller cross sections in comparison to the present results. Finally, many reliability re-analyses have been performed in order to conform whether the stability level of cross section estimated by Level I reliability-based design method is satisfied with the target probability of failure of partial safety factors or not.

Purification and Characterization of Antiviral Protein (AAP29) from the Leaves of Amaranthus mangostanus (참비름 (Amaranthus mangostanus)에서 항바이러스성 단백질 (AAP29)의 분리 및 특성)

  • An antiviral protein (AAP29) with ribosome-inactivating activity was purified and characterized from the leaves of the Amaranthus mangostanus. Purification was accomplished through crude extraction, ammonium sulfate precipitation, S-Sepharose chromatography, gel filtration, CM-Sepharose chromatography and Blue sepharose chromatography. This protein was about 29.2 kDa and strongly basic with the PI value between 9.0 and 9.6, indicating that AAP29 is similar to Type 1 RIP. The AAP29 showed high thermostability without activity toss even after 20 min at $50^{\circ}C$. In cell free system using rabbit reticulocyte lysate, AAP29 inhibited protein synthesis with an $IC_{50}$, of 0.18 nM. This protein also reduced mosaic symptoms of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) on tobacco leaves. The N-terminal amino acid sequences of the AAP29 are ADLTFTVTKDGTSQSYXTLXNXWRXW and shows no sequence similarity with any known RIPs.

Comparative Study of Reliability Design Methods by Application to Donghae Harbor Breakwaters. 2. Sliding of Caissons (동해항 방파제를 대상으로 한 신뢰성 설계법의 비교 연구. 2. 케이슨의 활동)

  • This is the second of a two-part paper which describes comparison of reliability design methods by application to Donghae Harbor Breakwaters. In this paper, Part 2, we deal with sliding of caissons. The failure modes of a vertical breakwater, which consists of a caisson mounted on a rubble mound, include the sliding and overturning of the caisson and the failure of the rubble mound or subsoil, among which most frequently occurs the sliding of the caisson. The traditional deterministic design method for sliding failure of a caisson uses the concept of a safety factor that the resistance should be greater than the load by a certain factor (e.g. 1.2). However, the safety of a structure cannot be quantitatively evaluated by the concept of a safety factor. On the other hand, the reliability design method, for which active research is being performed recently, enables one to quantitatively evaluate the safety of a structure by calculating the probability of failure of the structure. The reliability design method is classified into three categories depending on the level of probabilistic concepts being employed, i.e., Level 1, 2, and 3. In this study, we apply the reliability design methods to the sliding of the caisson of the breakwaters of Donghae Harbor, which was constructed by traditional deterministic design methods to be damaged in 1987. Analyses are made for the breakwaters before the damage and after reinforcement. The probability of failure before the damage is much higher than the allowable value, indicating that the breakwater was under-designed. The probability of failure after reinforcement, however, is close to the allowable value, indicating that the breakwater is no longer in danger. On the other hand, the results of the different reliability design methods are in fairly good agreement, confirming that there is not much difference among different methods.
