To increase port productivity and efficiency and also to avoid disadvantages of public port management, a port authority system h1s been introduced worldwide. The Korea Port Authority Act was enacted in 2003 and Incheon Port Authority was established in July 2005. The objective of this paper is to develop a strategy of Incheon Port Authority using SWOT/AHP method Research findings show that possibilities of business expansion and growth as well as geographical advantages of Incheon Port are identified as its strength The opportunities of Incheon Port Authority are continuous increase of cargo handling volumes in the Yellow sea rim and expansion of Free Trade Zone. A government two-port policy and growing its dependence on China and rapid growth of more competitors in domestic and overseas are considered to be threat. Its weaknesses include superannuated Incheon port facilities and port hinterland shortages. Based on SWOT analysis combined with AHP method this paper suggests S/O strategy, W/O strategy, S/T strategy, and W/T strategy as a strategic development plan of Incheon Port Authority.

In this study, the in-situ model test has been conducted and used to estimate and analyze consolidation behavior of the ground by using the miniature test that reconstructs economically geotechnical behavior of in-situ full scale structure. To analogize the relation among effective stress, void ratio and coefficient of permeability at the self-weight consolidation stage, the low stress seepage consolidation test has been conducted and the involution function of constitutive equation had been obtained from the result of the curve fitted seepage consolidation test result. As a result of the numerical analysis that had been conducted on the representative section using a constitute equation, final settlement was similar with those of self-weight consolidation of the centrifugal model test. But, it was more or less smaller. It seems that these trends are caused by the difference between estimated values.

This study aims to present the criteria of location selection and contents composition of Sewol ferry memorial space from the perspective of placeness and dark tourism, one of the main concepts of cultural tourism theory, and to draw academic concepts and implications related to it. First, the location selection of Sewol ferry memorial space was proposed by applying the concept of placeness to each important location, and the direction of the contents composition was presented based on the contents components such as characters, stories, places and dark tourism composition directions. As a result, when the Sewol ferry memorial space is designed in use of systemizing the narrative structure of the storytelling method and implementing it specifically, it is suggested that it is possible to construct a Sewol ferry memorial space by distributing and course-making based on the narrative structure rather than focusing on the location selection of a specific place. In addition, it was argued that the contents composition criteria should be more complex and systematically established and applied considering the connection between placeness and dark tourism when the Sewol ferry memorial space is constructed in various sites like 416 life safety parks and Mokpo New Port. This study, which aims to answer research questions related to major issues based on the perspective of placeness and dark tourism on the Sewol ferry memorial space, is expected to be used as a reference for the construction of the memorial space in the future.
