영어는 1947년부터 국제민간항공기구에 의해 국제 항공공통어로 사용되기 시작하였다. 그러나 원어민을 제외한 대부분 국가의 조종사와 항공교통관제사는 항공영어로 인한 어려움을 토로하고 있으며 항공기 사고의 많은 부분도 항공영어를 사용하는 communication 문제로 발생하고 있다. 이 점을 인식한 ICAO에서는 2008년부터 항공영어의 등급을 제도화하여 비영어권 국가의 항공종사자에 대한 영어능력의 향상을 도모하고 있다. 본 연구는 관제사를 대상으로 한 항공영어교육의 결과를 SPSS11을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 교육기간과 교육시간이 영어성적 결과에 유의미한 차이를 보이며, 항공영어의 평가요소 6가지가 상호 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

The capacity of Jeju International Airport has reached its limit due to a surge in air traffic demand such as passengers and cargo and the continuous expansion of Low Cost Carriers (LCC). Despite COVID-19 that has began in November 2019, Jeju International Airport still has continuous demand in terms of passenger and cargo transportation. As a result, it is undeniable that the delay rate also unexpectedly increased as the air traffic volume at Jeju International Airport continued to increase. In this study, the correlation between Turnaround Time and delay rates of national airlines is analyzed based on past flight data at Jeju International Airport, and the cumulative delay time trend for sampled airlines is compared with Turnaround Time. Through this study, it is expected to contribute to securing aircraft operation efficiency and on-time by analyzing delays related to Turnaround Time at Jeju International Airport.

In this study, characteristics of a propane-air premixed flame sin DC electric field was investigated. The stainless steel Bunsen burner and the stainless steel ring were used as electrode, and the high voltage supply was used for applying electric field. Flammability range increased significantly when the positive voltage was applied because of extension of LBO limit, while it shrank when the negative voltage was applied. The reason for this was not much related to the burning velocity, but the induced flow around the burner by electric field. withNOx production slightly increased after positive voltage was applied in identical equivalence ratio. Nevertheless, it was advantageous to apply the positive electric field to reduce the NOx since the extension of LBO limit makes the burner possible to operate in very low equivalence ratio.

In this study aviation authority officials were classified into four cultural groups according to culture theory, and then questioned to determine the effects of cultural bias on their social acceptance of a new air traffic flow management system. Based on previous studies, cultural biases were categorized as egalitarianistic, individualistic, fatalistic, and hierarchical, and social acceptances were considered to be influenced by four variables, that is, perceptions of usefulness, work attitude, intention to use, and behavior (job absorption). Empirical analysis showed that hierarchy had a significant positive effect on social acceptance, and egalitarianism was found to have a significant positive effect on social acceptance with 95% credibility. We propose the organizational culture of Korean government be changed to accept the diverse opinions of government officials during the implementation phase of the new system recommended by ICAO.

UAM is emerging due to the deepening population concentration in the metropolitan area and the problem of congested ground transportation in urban areas. Accordingly, along with research on eVTOL aircraft for UAM services, interest in vertiport, the interest in vertiports, the infrastructure that allows eVTOLs to take off and land, is also increasing. However, behind the concentration of population in the metropolitan area, aphenomenon of local extinction is occurring in conjunction with the aging population. AAM, which moves quickly through 3D space, can be an effective SOC facility in times of local extinction crisis. In this paper, we introduce a design plan from the perspective of a complex transper center for a regional hub-level vertiport that can connect with local high-speed rail and utilize local airports in compliance with the vertiport design guidelines issued by FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) and EASA(European union Aviation Safety Agency). We would like to present Vertiport's future operation plan.

국제민간항공기구(ICAO)의 차세대 항행시스템(new CNS/ATM) 전환계획에 따라 전 세계적으로 항공통신, 항법, 감시 및 항공교통관리 분야의 항행안전시설과 대응되는 항공기 탑재시스템의 변화가 진행되고 있다. 특히 항공통신과 감시 분야에서는 공대지 데이터링크 기술을 활용한 새로운 항공교통서비스(CPDLC, ADS, ADS-B, FIS-B, TIS-B)가 도입되어 공역 처리능력을 제고하고 항공운항 안전에 기여하며 조종사와 관제사의 편의성을 대폭 향상시킬 것으로 기대되고 있다. 현재 민간항공에서 활발히 이용되고 있는 대표적인 데이터링크 기술인 ACARS 시스템은 국제민간항공기구가 표준화하여 제정한 VDL 기술로 대체되고 있으며 HFDL, Mode S, AMSS, UAT 등이 현재 가용한 데이터링크 기술로 개발되어 활용되고 있다. 미국과 유럽을 중심으로 관련 기술에 대한 검증과 시범 운용 사업이 활발하게 진행되고 있으며 2020년 이후를 대비한 미래 항공통신 신기술 연구에도 세계가 매진하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재까지 개발된 공대지 데이터링크 기술의 특성을 개관하고 관련 응용기술 구현 현황과 데이터링크 관련 세계의 미래 통신기술 연구 동향을 제시하고자 한다.

This paper presents the result of VDL Mode 2 system design and implementation with AOA (ACARS Over AVLC) protocol based on international VDL Mode 2 specifications for the bit-oriented ATS applications. The designed VDL Mode 2 system is composed of airborne and ground subsystem. Airborne subsystem consists of VDR, CMU and Ground system consists of Ground Station and DSP. For the test of whole system, simplified CPDLC, ADS and AFN applications are implemented in test equipments.

Urban Air Mobility is expected to resolve some problems in urban transportation such as traffic congestion and air pollution. Various studies for a large-scale commercialization of UAM are being actively conducted. To that end, the UAM Traffic Management system aims at securing a safety and an efficiency of UAM operations. In this study, a risk assessment model is proposed to evaluate the risk of collision between a vehicle and surrounding obstacles. The proposed model is conceived from the past studies for determining a proper separation distance between parallel runways for their independent operations. The model calculates the risk that the surveillance system fails to meet a target level of safety for a given buffer zone size between a designed route and surrounding obstacles. The model is applied to one of the routes proposed in K-UAM roadmap to evaluate its performances.
