A Study on Simple Calculation Method of Survival Time for Damaged Naval Ship Due to the Explosion (폭발에 의해 손상된 함정의 생존시간 간이계산법 연구)

  • Due to advanced new weapons and changes in the combat environment, survivability improvement methods for naval ship design have continuously evolved. Surface naval ships are easily detected by the enemy and, moreover, there are many attack weapons that may be used against surface naval ships. Therefore, it is important for modem naval ships, especially combat naval ships, to ensure survivability. In order to design a naval ship considering survivability, the designers are required to establish reasonable attack scenarios. An explosion may induce local damage as well as global collapse of the ship. Therefore, possible damage conditions should be realistically estimated at the design stage. In this study, an ALE technique was used to simulate the explosion analysis, and the survival capability of damaged naval ships was investigated. Especially, the author have establish the simple method of estimation of survival time for damaged naval ships.

  • 본 논문은 함정과 같은 다품종 소량의 시장 환경에서 고객들의 요구사항을 충족시키고 대량생산의 효과를 얻을 수 있도록 그룹기법(Group Technology) 개념을 이용하여 함정에 대한 플랫폼 패밀리(Platform Family)를 구성하는 방법을 제시하고, 이것을 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 매트릭스(Matrix) 형태로 제안하였다. 또한 이 논문에서 제안하고 있는 함정 플랫폼 패밀리에 대하여 현실 문제를 가정하여 비용분석을 수행하였고, 구체적인 비용 효과와 적용 가능한 범위를 제시하였다.

삼동선 개발의 타당성 연구

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 고속선에 적합한 선형의 하나로 거론되고 있는 삼동선의 개발 현황을 살펴보고, 실선으로의 가능성을 파악하기 위하여 적용 대상선을 2,500톤급 삼동형 함정으로 설정하여 개념설계를 수행한 결과를 보이고자 한다. 함정의 설계조건과 요구사항에 적합하도록 삼동선의 장점을 최대한 반영하여 초기 개념 설계를 수행하였으며, 이로부터 도출된 삼동선형의 유체역학적인 성능검토를 위해 저항추진, 내항 및 조종성능에 대한 연구를 수행하고 그 결과를 유사 단동선과 비교, 검토하였다. 연구결과의 가시화를 위하여 최종적으로 3차원 컴퓨터 그래픽 모델링하고, 실선의 1/100 축적모형을 제작하여 설계결과를 표현하였다.

Integrated Service Framework for Naval Ship using REST Architecture (REST 아키텍처를 이용한 함정 통합 서비스 프레임워크)

  • The functions of various systems inside the naval ships have been improved and diversified to prepare for the future battlefield and satisfy new requirements. The number of missions and operating displays with which a crew has to deal has increased. In this paper, Integrated Service Framework for Naval Ships is proposed. The proposed framework is based on REST architecture and it interfaces the networks of each systems in the ship. The connected data and functions are rebuilt as an object and they are provided as HTTP and JSON based APIs. The prototype of the framework was implemented in a combat system test-bed and its feasibility was proved with performance tests. With the proposed framework, operational efficiency for a naval ship can be achieved by designing new integrated displays and HCI which utilize whole ship's capabilities.

  • In this paper, we propose the standardization architecture and weapon-sensor simulator for efficient reliability test in combat system. To reduce man-month of reliability test, application with high dependency on other module is selected and apply FORM. The proposed standardization architecture extracts common, variable elements and design patterns, S.O.L.I.D principles were applied. The proposed weapon-sensor simulator implements essential functions by identifying highly dependent element of other modules and the information from equipment can be directly received without processing by using communication middleware. As a result, it can replace actual ship-mounted equipment. In addition, it is possible to reduce the consumption rate of human resources when perform reliability test and modification time can be shorted.

  • With the huge navy projects such KDX-III, LPX, bigger and more complicated vessel constructions are being underway in navy. In this paper, considering these trends, we performed a risk analysis on the navy vessel for the fatality of soldiers on board and presented the risk level with FN curve. Assuming a fire occurs in one of the soldier bedrooms, we established event tree to visualize the possible development scenarios and calculated the fatality for each scenario. The critical condition to survive inside the bedroom was obtained through CFAST program.

  • In this paper, we researched the recent analysis method of RCS prediction for the naval ship and compared the new method with conventional one in respect of the effectiveness to improve a naval ship with low RCS. This paper included the process of analyzing RCS characteristics for naval ship using the numerical method and finding the hotspot by hourglass plot, ISAR image and etc.. Also we introduced the various design methods in order to reduce RCS.

  • 본 논문은 함정 전투체계의 아키텍처를 설계하고 세부 기능을 분석 및 구현하기 위한 방안 연구를 위해 작성되었다. 함정 전투체계와 같이 복잡도 높은 대규모 시스템에서 문서 산출물에 근거한 개발은 산출물 간 유기적인 연결이 어렵고 요구조건의 변화에 따른 영향 요소 식별 및 반영이 어렵다는 단점을 갖는다. 이에 대한 대안으로 제시된 모델 기반 개발 방법론을 함정 전투체계에 적용하기 위해 미 국방 분야 표준 아키텍처인 DoDAF와 이를 지원하는 UPDM, 시스템 엔지니어링과 소프트웨어 엔지니어링 분야의 모델링을 지원하는 SYSML/UML을 살펴보고 함정 전투체계에 적합한 모델 구성 및 각 개발 단계 별 모델링을 수행하는 절차에 대한 가이드라인을 제시한다.

  • The Radar Cross Section (RCS) is a virtual region indicating the strength of a wavelength at which a radar signal is reflected and received. As the ship's RCS represents its own stealth performance and survivability, efforts have been made in various areas from design to construction to reduce the RCS. The RCS can be predicted using design drawings and CAD models, but it is necessary to measure the RCS at sea since sea clutter and multipath reflections occur in the sea environment. However, such RCS predictions and measured values provide only a simple relative magnitude to the user, and there has not been much research on this topic. In this paper, a missile countermeasure technique was studied using 3D RCS measurement data in an operating environment. The elevation and azimuth angle of the ship viewed from the missile were estimated using the location information of the missile, and the RCS value was inverted by mapping it to previously measured 3D RCS measurement data. In addition, by using the movement information of the missile, the RCS observed by the missile could be predicted in advance, and this method can be used to propose a response plan based on the maneuvering and chaff system.

  • 함정용 탑재장비의 내충격 성능평가 기술분야에 대한 국내의 연구경험이 일천하여 미해군을 비롯한 선진군사강국의 기술구준에 도달하기 위해서는 해결해야 할 과제가 많이 남아있지만, 그 동안의 선박진동분야에서 축적한 구조동력학 분야의 국내기술을 바탕으로 접근해 간다면 그렇게 어려운 문제만은 아니다. 따라서 최근, 이 분야에 대한 국내의 활발한 연구활동을 시발점으로 하여 보다 심도있고 지속적인 연구를 수행한다면 한국해군 함정 및 탑재장비의 내충격 설계기술 자립을 머지 않아 이를 수 있으리라 생각한다. 이를 위해서 이 분야에 대한 국내연구진의 더 많은 노력과 한국해군의 적극적인 지원을 기대한다.
