안전명인 인터뷰 - 기본과 실천의 안전관리 추구, '오픈 점포의 안전달인' 이마트 제천점 권오일 안전팀장

  • 20년 전인 1993년 11월 12일 우리나라 대표 대형마트인 이마트(대표이사 허인철)가 탄생했다. 그리고 지금으로부터 4년 전인 2009년 12월 21일에는 아름다운 청풍명월의 고장인 충북 제천시에 제127호 이마트 매장이 들어서게 된다. 이마트 제천점은 연매출 600억 원의 점포로, 직영사원 140명과 매장협력임대사원 300명의 상생협력을 통해 제천시 강제동 유통업무지역의 대표적인 대형할인점으로 굳건히 자리 잡았다. 이곳 이마트 제천점의 안전을 책임지고 있는 권오일 안전팀장은 오픈 점포와 유독이 인연이 있으면서 '오픈 점포의 안전달인'이라는 별명을 가지고 있다. 2003년 신세계 이마트에 입사하여 청주점, 아산점, 그리고 현재 제첨점까지. 그가 몸담아 왔던 곳이 모두 오픈점이었는데, 오픈 점포에 맞는 안전시스템 구축에 탁월한 역량을 발휘하면서, 청주점 무재해 3배, 아산점 무재해 2배, 제천점 무재해 3배 달성 등을 이끌어왔다. 이로 인해 안전보건공단 공로표창장 및 상패(3회), 대전지방고용노동청 청주지청 및 충주지청장 표창(2회) 등 많은 공적을 남겼다.

Regional Differentiation of Relationships between Private Brand Purchase Intention and Antecedents (유통업체브랜드 구매 의도 및 선행 변수와의 관계에 관한 연구: 할인점 출점 지역의 차이를 중심으로)

  • The objective of this study is examining regional differentiation of private brand customer. Factors found to influence private brand purchase intention included familiarity with private brand, perceived value, store loyalty, perceived risk, perceived quality variation between national and private brand products. For testing the research model, data were collected in Seoul and Busan. The hypothetical paths included in model are supported. There are regional differentiations in 1) negative relation of perceived quality variation and perceived value, 2) positive relation of familiarity and purchase intention, and 3) positive relation of store royalty and purchase intention.

대형 가격할인점 이용이 소비자편익(消費者便益)에 미치는 효과에 관한 일고(一考)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the consumers perception of price and the economic benefit of shopping at the various discount-stores. We found that there is a significant difference between the real price level of discount-stores and the firms purporting discount level of their commodities. We also, found that there is a bias between the consumers perception of their monetary profit and the actual economic benefit. It's recommended that consumers should give objective judgement on price level of discount-stores and appreciate rationally the exact profit for them to take the advantage in their everyday life. To increase consumer welfare, it's desirable to improve labeling system on retail prices and regulations on distribution industry as well as the consumers perception of price and their profit level as mentioned above. Additionally, it should be followed that the business side build the consumer-oriented management system.

지방 중소형 백화점의 경쟁력 강화요인 분석

  • 지방의 중소형 백화점은 외국자본의 할인점과 대기업에서 운영하는 대형백화점의 진출로 사면초가의 위기를 맞고 있다. 따라서 이러한 어려운 여건하에서 어떻게 하면 살아남을 수 있는 방안이 있는지를 찾는데 가장 큰 목적이 있다. 따라서 이를 위하여 지방의 중소형 백화점의 문제점의 도출을 하고, 경쟁력 강화요인을 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 문제점을 도출하면, 유통업체 내부적인 관점으로는 불필요한 경비지출 증가의 문제, 마진률 저하 및 상품구성의 문제, 인력의 종속성과 양성제도 미흡, 가격정책 결정의 한계, 마케팅 능력 미약과 이미지 저하, 업태의 불명확화 등이 있고, 기업외적인 관점으로는 자금조달의 한계, 정부의 정책지원의 미약, 거래관행의 구조적인 문제, 전문유통인력 양성정책의 미흡 등을 들 수 있다. 두 번째로 경쟁력 강화요인을 보면, 유통업체 내부적인 관점으로는 업태의 포지셔닝 재정립, 대입형태의 전환, 자사(PB)상품 개발 촉진, 우수한 전문인력의 확보, 서비스 경쟁력 제고 등이 있고, 기업 외적인 관점으로는 구조개선이 필요, 조직화 협업화 협동화, 지방 산업 육성, 자금과 교육지원 등을 들 수 있다.

여름철 난좌 재사용에 따른 피해 막아야

  • 5월의 날씨임에도 불구하고 벌써 한 여름을 연상할 정도로 더위가 일찍 찾아온 느낌이다. 아마 대다수 양계인들은 조류인플루엔자라는 복병아래 숨죽이고 지냈던 지난 겨울 보다 어쩌면 다가올 무더운 여름이 더 걱정스러워 할 것 같다는 생각도 든다. 한두달 전부터 계속 됐던 백화점, 대형할인점 등 유통업계의 경쟁적인 출현세일을 통하여 어느정도 적정한 난가를 유지해왔지만 여름철로 다가올수록 소비위축과 채화로 인한 난가 하락 등이 예상되고 있으며, 이로인해 사육환경이나 작업환경이 더 나빠지지는 않을까 채란농가의 걱정이 이만 저만이 아닐 수 없다.

월동준비, 난방용품부터 시작

  • 아침 · 저녁으로 기온이 뚝 떨어지면서 '월동준비'에 나서는 소비자들이 급증하면서 각 유통업체의 겨울 난방용품 판촉전이 후끈 달아오르고 있다. 본격적으로 난방용품판매가 시작된 할인점의 경우 지난달보다 판매량이 15~30% 늘었으며, 특히 전기장판과 전기요의 매출은 150%, 온풍기, 원적외선 전기 히터 등의 매출은 200% 이상 신장하는 등 적은 비용으로 간편하게 실내 온도를 높일 수 있는 가전제품이 특수를 누리고 있다. 요즘처럼 일교차가 클 때는 집 안 전체를 난방은 비효율적으로, 전기장판, 온풍기, 매트, 히터 등 적은 비용으로 난방효과를 볼 수 있는 부분 난방용품이 인기를 끌고 있다.

Market oriented Typology and Development Directions of Conventional Markets (재래시장의 시장 지향적 분류에 따른 발전방향)

  • There are about 1,500 small or large traditional markets in Korea. Those conventional markets have been struggling for survival in rapidly changing market environment with highly intensified competition by accelerating the entrance of the Large-scale Discount Store and Super Supermarket which are managed and supported by Large companies like Samsung and Lotte. The loosing power of conventional markets have threatened the local merchants' survival and have influenced local economics falling down. To create better value for the customers who have more preference for department store and discount stores than conventional markets, conventional markets should have market orientation, which has three sub dimensions; customer orientation, competitor orientation and inter-functional coordinations. First objective of study is to find the appropriate roles of conventional markets in local areas. Second is to find out the market orientation functions for conventional markets to be survival in local markets in the long terms. Finally, this study will suggest some policies for the appropriate types of successful conventional markets considering various local situations. To achieve those objectives, we did the following procedure. First, we review the previous reports and studies of policies for conventional markets and local economy development, and propose some pros and cons of the previous policies. Secondly, we develop a market orientation framework of conventional markets, in which we suggest the developmental types and functions of market-orientation of conventional markets in accordance with the characteristics of local market and economic conditions of local areas. Then we formulate and discuss the study's contributions, managerial implications, and directions for future policy development. Especially for the policy development, we suggest the efficiency and economical effects of policy, human being development and management system, and the role of government and protection of local merchants in the development process.

The Effects of Image of Discount Stores on Fashion Brand Equity (대형 할인점의 점포 이미지가 패션 PB 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • A purpose of this research was to analyze an effect of discount stores image on brand equity of fashion brand. One hundred ninety-four women living in Seoul and its suburb were surveyed for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, multiple regression, and ANOVA were used for this study. As the results, first, discount stores image was classified into five factors such as convenience, service, store atmosphere, familarity, and easy use. Second, brand equity was divided into three factors such as brand loyalty, perceived quality and brand recognition. Generally, discount stores images were correlated with brand equity factor. Third, results revealed that service, easy use, convenience, and familarity were 32% of the explained variance in brand loyalty. Also, store atmosphere convenience, service, and easy use were 26% of the explained variance in perceived quality. Results revealed Store Atmosphere and easy use, and familarity were 21% of the explained variance in brand recognition. Based on these results, discount stores in private brand marketing strategies would be suggested.

  • Two of most important industries in Changwon, the distribution industry and the construction industry have been threatened by the recent economic downturn. Rehabilitating plans for traditional markets tend to focus on renovation of facilities rather than on the managerial solution. Traditional market plays vital roles as a social safety net and a source of development of regional economy. Modernization of facilities and differentiation of business areas are two most important issues for the revitalization of the traditional market. Traditional markets should adopt a strategy which can make a difference in characteristics of the market, regional culture, regional industry and consumer behavior of the region. Purposes of this study are: first, to understand characteristics of traditional markets in Changwon, second, to draw implications for administrative and financial supports for traditional markets in Changwon.

  • The distribution companies in Korea usually specify the buying system in jikmeip, tukjeongmeip, imdeeul, and imdegap. In this view, the development of distribution companies in Korea is highly dependent on the which business status is emphasized. And it is considered critical to identify the important features of each buying system and the impact these systems have on each business status. Subsequently, the purpose of this study is to identify the said features and impact. With this study, we have tried to explore a new vision for distribution taking a consideration of the fact that most studies within Korea are oriented in marketing standpoint. Particularly, we have intended to analyze the distribution industry in the view of internal standpoint of a distribution company.
