We analyzed 53 representative Korea oriental medicine web sites to measure the credibility and satisfaction using objective valuation basis. First we analyzed qualitatively the general sites' characteristics composed of operational status, kernel service, organization and payment. Secondly we calculated the sites' credibility categorized as expertise factors, trustworthiness factors, sponsorship factors and other factors to deduce the key factor. we expect the result can be used as the indicator for developer to improve the Korea oriental medicine web sites. And we expect the result can be used as the objective credibility for the web user to confirm the contents of Korea oriental medicine web sites.

Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI), an important cause of acute renal failure (ARF), cause increased renal tubular injury. Jesaeng-sinkihwan (JSH) was recorded in a traditional Chines medical book named "Bangyakhappyeon (方藥合編)". JSH has been used for treatment of diabetes and glomerulonephritis with patients. Here we investigate the effects of Jesaeng-sinkihwan (JSH) in a mouse model of ischemic acute kidney injury. The animals model were divided into four groups at the age of 8 weeks; sham group: C57BL6 male mice (n=9), I/R group: C57BL6 male mice with I/R surgery (n=9), JSH Low group: C57BL6 male mice with surgery + JSH 100 mg/kg/day (n=9) and JSH High group: C57BL6 male mice with surgery + JSH 300 mg/kg/day (n=9). Ischemia was induced by clamping the both renal arteries during 25 min, and reperfusion was followed. Mouse were orally given with JSH (100 and 300 mg/kg/day during 3 days after surgery. Treatment with JSH significantly ameliorates creatinine clearance(Ccr), Creatinine (Cr) and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) in obtained plasma. . Treatment with JSH reduced kidney inflammation markers such as Neutrophil Gelatinase Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) and kidney injury molecule-1 (KIM-1). JSH also reduced the periodic acid schiff (PAS) staining intensity and picro sirius red staining intensity in kidney of I/R group. These findings suggest that JSH ameliorates tubular injury including renal dysfunction in I/R induced ARF mouse.

현대의학의 발전에 힘입어 의료정보의 양과 질적인 측면에서 한의학의 IT를 접목한 정보화는 매우 빠르게 확장 및 향상 되고 있다. 그러나 서양의학에 비하여 한의학의 의료정보 활용은 상대적으로 적은 게 사실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 한의학 정보 활용의 활성화를 위해 한의학 관점에서 논의되고 있는 인체의료정보 획득을 위한 인터페이스 개발에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 환자의 신체 통증부위 데이터를 획득할 수 있는 웹기반 인터페이스 설계 방안에 대해 살펴본다. 본 연구의 환자의 신체 통증부위 정보 획득 설계 방법론을 통해서 한의학의 IT를 접목한 의료정보 표준화에 기여할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 기술을 통한 편리성을 추구할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

의료 분야의 정보화 움직임으로 인해 단순한 정보 저장과 검색 시스템에서 벗어나 지능화된 서비스를 제공 해주는 시멘틱 웹 기반의 의료 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 이에 한의학 분야도 한의사의 진단을 보조할 수 있는 지식 기반 시스템에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있으며 관련 시스템들이 개발되어지고 있다. 온톨로지는 시멘틱 웹의 핵심적인 지식 체계로 지식의 처리와 추론이 가능하므로 질의 및 논리 추론을 통하여 진단을 내리는 한의학 지식 데이터베이스 구축에 적합하다. 본 연구에서는 한의학 분야의 지식을 보다 의미적이고 체계적으로 표현하고 온톨로지를 이용한 검색 결과의 이점을 보여주기 위해 추론 기술을 접목시켜 한의학 온톨로지를 개발하였다.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to present one case report on the treatment of psoriasis. Methods: We did retrospective study for one psoriasis patient who had been treated by herbal medicine and acupuncture for more than one year. The patient was treated with Bojungikgi-tang hap Gamisoyo-san, Yukmijihuang-tang hap Gamisoyo-san, Saengmaek-san hap Gamisoyo-san, Gamisoyo-san hap Samul-tang and Gamisoyo-san hap Yukmijihwang-tang. Evaluation was done by PASI score and pictures. Results: After the treatment, the patient showed improvements in PASI. PASI of the patient changed from 28.2 to 0. Conclusions: This study suggests the clinical use of Korean medical treatment in systemic psoriasis.

Objectives: Patients with polycythemia vera can experience many symptoms, including dizziness, headache, and fatigue, caused by a high red blood cell mass and blood viscosity. Some symptoms persist even after appropriate treatment. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Korean medicine on dizziness following polycythemia vera treatment. Methods: A patient diagnosed with polycythemia vera was treated with Korean medicine, including pharmacopuncture, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. We used a numeral rating scale (NRS) and the Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) to observe the effects of the treatment. Results: After treatment, the hematocrit and hemoglobin increased to within normal range, and the NRS scores for dizziness and fatigue, subjective discomfort, and DHI scores decreased compared with the preadmission values. Conclusions: This report shows that Korean medicine helped to relieve dizziness in a patient with polycythemia vera. However, we need further studies to establish treatment regimens for polycythemia vera symptoms.

NTIS(National Science & Technology Information Service) provides the information for domestic research projects. It in particular has several classification schemes to classify research projects and provide better retrieval and analysis services. It however is difficult to understand the characteristic of a research project clearly since only a classification in a classification scheme can be chosen about a research project. Moreover, the classification scheme covers the high-level classification for every research areas so that it cannot cover the area specialized to the oriental medicines. On the other hand, the classification schemes for oriental medicines have recently been studied in oriental medicine field. However, it also covers the high-level classification for oriental medicine so that it may not suit to a classification scheme for research projects. Therefore, in this paper we propose a classification scheme to understand clearly the characteristic of research projects in oriental medicine and use to use them to retrieval and analysis services.
