The purpose of this study was to reveal the influence of consumers' Hanbok involvement and arousal seeking tendency on their Hanbok preference and purchasing behavior. The survey subjects were male and female consumers ranging in age from teens to those in their fifties. An online survey was conducted, and 627 people were analyzed. Version 26.0 of SPSS was used to perform a t-test as well as frequency, correlation, factor, reliability, and regression analyses. As a result, both Hanbok involvement and arousal seeking tendency derived four factors each. All four factors of Hanbok involvement had a significant effect on Hanbok preference. Two factors of arousal seeking tendency had a significant effect on Hanbok preference. Hanbok preference had a partially significant effect on Hanbok purchasing behavior. Hanbok involvement and arousal seeking tendency had a partially significant impact on Hanbok purchasing behavior. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it, for the first time, derived the factor of Hanbok involvement by considering the concept of involvement as it relates to Hanbok and identified that involvement and arousal seeking tendency are variables that affect Hanbok preference and purchasing behavior.

How consumers perceives Korean heritage is the most essential motivation to purchase traditional products. This study investigates if there is a difference in the value perception of traditional culture on preferences for and the long-term relationship of Hanboks. It also investigates differences in the preference and consumption behavior of Hanboks depending on the degree of experience for Hanbok. For this research purpose, data were collected from 745 residents between the ages of 20-60 in the Seoul and metropolitan areas through online and offline surveys. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and path analysis, using the SPSS-WIN 20.0, AMOS 20.0 program. The value recognition toward traditional culture derived aesthetic and symbolic factors. The result of grouping according to the experience of the Hanbok indicated that the two groups of traditional cultural values influenced preferences for Hanboks. In the middle group, only the symbolic value had a significant influence on the preference of Hanbok. It was found that the less experienced group had no traditional culture value factor which had a significant effect on the preferences for Hanboks. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to be used as basic data to establish a marketing strategy to increase the preferences for traditional culture such as Hanboks by increasing various traditional culture experiences as well as Hanboks.

Korean Costume has long history and functional aesthetic value compared with the traditional costume of other contries. But nowadays korean Costume is becoming more and more distant from the people in the world wide current. To domiciliate and spread out the Practical Korean Costume which the goverment selected as CI symbol representing Korean culture in the trend of times. We investigated and analysed systemically the consciousness of customers and the details of design. This study consist of theoritical study and positive study. Theoritical study has the esthetic characteristic(structure characteristics formative characteristic and the characteristic of color) As the conciousness of people change in modern life which everything change in high speed the esthetic characteristics of Korean Costume have changed in structure.

To accomplish the above goal of this study, I have taken the statistics about wearing behavior and design preference for Saenghwal Hanbok. This is surveyed by 354 women having jobs 20-50years old-in Daegu. The result of the study is summarized as follows. People prefer to put on Saenghwal Hanbok same as the Korea Traditional Dress in the traditional holidays and the active style that they can dress as casual clothes having the Korea Traditional Dress's characteristics as well. Form a viewpoint of appearance, people prefer Jugori have a bit spare width, the length comes near to the waist line, the type of Korean Traditional Dress's sleeve, and the round type that is linked body and sleeve in waist section and length is between knee and the calf of leg.

The object of this study was to investigate the attitudes toward the school uniforms with Hanbok image and design preferences for the improvement of the uniforms. Subjects were high school students wearing the westernstyle school uniforms. Questionnaires were distributed to 480 students and 400 responses among them were used for data analysis. Students replied to the questions about the attitudes toward the school uniforms with Hanbok image and the wearing of the uniforms, preferred design, and subjects' characteristics. Using the SPSS program, frequency and percent ratio of data were determined and t-test and $X^{2}$ test were performed. As the results, students' attitude toward the uniforms with Hanbok image showed to be positive, and girl students were more positive than boy students but they didn't want to wear the uniforms. It revealed that students wanted to be expressed Hanbok image in the uniforms partially and to be conceived their image warm, peaceful and smooth. It is concluded that the school uniforms with Hanbok image should be designed to display Korean traditional beauty and Hanbok image partially at the neckline or the end of the sleeve, keeping the shape of the westernstyle uniforms.

The purpose of this research was to compare the preference of tone on tone coloration of traditional Korean dress by Korean and American women college students. The respondents were asked to evaluate 48 stimuli of the traditional Korean skirt and jacket with different tone of color. It could be supposed that the different evaluation were caused by their different cultural backgrounds. The results of research can be summarized as follows. As to the red colors, Korean students preferred vivid and light tone coloration, and disliked dull and dark tone coloration, the same tone coloration. but American students preferred usually the same tone coloration and preferred coloration of 4 tone skirts and vivid jacket, dull and dark tone coloration. As to the yellow colors, Korean students preferred dull and dark tone coloration and disliked the same tone coloration. American students preferred vivid and light tone coloration and disliked dull tone coloration as dull jacket and skirt. As to the green colors, Korean students preferred dull and dark tone coloration and disliked the same tone coloration. American students preferred dull and dark tone coloration and preferred the same tone coloration.

The purpose of this study is to examine the hand of spring/fall fabrics for 'Saenghwal Hanbok' on subjective hand, objective hand and the preference. In this study, 28 varieties of spring/fall fabrics such as cotton fabrics, synthetic fabrics, blended fabrics and a silk fabric for 'Saenghwal Hanbok' are used. To evaluate the subjective hand of fabrics, the holistic touch and preferences, 33 seven ranks' segmentic differential scale questions are developed with adjective pairs and are gathered by surveying experts on clothes. The mechanical properties, HV and THV of them are measured and calculated by KES-FB system. Through subjective hand, items could be classified into six hand expressions: 'bulky/extensibility', 'stiffness', 'feeling of weight', 'surface property', 'drapability' and 'moisture property'. Through mechanical properties, the results indicated that the character of cotton fabrics are slight flexible, tough, rough, uneven, a bit heavy, thick and low resilience on tensile and compression, and then those of synthetic fabrics, blended fabrics and a silk fabric are thin and light, smooth, flat and bulkless. In correlation on subjective evaluations and the preference for 'Saenghwal Hanbok', cotton fabrics mainly depend on 'surface property' and 'moisture property' and then synthetic fabrics, blended fabrics and a silk depend on 'bulky/extensibility' and 'surface property' In correlation on objective hand and the preference for 'Saenghwal Hanbok'. people aren't satisfied with low resilience. high stiffness and low drape.

The purpose of this research is to compare, according to tone variation of a red jacket, the preference of female college students from Korea and the U.S. for coloration in the traditional Korean dress. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: As to a vivid skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, students of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of vivid red skirt and vivid. dark red jacket, and vivid orange skirt and dull red jacket, and vivid yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and vivid violet skirt and dull red jacket. As to the light skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of light red skirt and light red jacket, and light orange skirt and light red jacket. As to the dull skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of dull red skirt and vivid light dull dark red jacket, and dull yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and dull yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and dull green skirt and dull red jacket, and dull violet skirt and vivid light dull dark red jacket. As to the dark skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of dark red skirt and dull dark red jacket, and dark orange skirt and vivid light dull red jacket, and dark yellow skirt and dull red jacket. As to the neutral skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of white skirt and vivid red jacket, and dark gray skirt and light red jacket.

The purpose of this study was to find a method for improving the children's behavior during dental treatment in relation with dentist's attire. For this study 150 children, visiting a dental clinic, were asked to participate in a survey on the attire of the dentist. The results of the survey were as follows: 1. In the survey for the preference between gown and ordinary clothes according to sex(P<0.05), age(P<0.05), residence (P<0.05) and number of visits(P<0.05), there was more preference for gown(65.3%). 2. The preference for the type of gown and attire under the gown was a long gown and white shirt (30.7%), followed by a suit-like gown (18.7%) and white shirt, and long gown and polo shirt(17.3%). 3. The preference for the color of gown was white(34.7%), followed by pink (18.7%), green(18.0%), blue(15.3%) and yellow(13.3%). 4. The preference for the pattern on the gown was cartoon characters(49.3%), followed by hospital logo(28.7%) and no pattern(14.7%). 5. The preference for ordinary clothes of female dentists was polo shirt(37.3%), followed by striped shirt(28.7%), round T-shirt(18.7%), and everyday Korean traditional dress(15.3%). 6. The preference for ordinary clothes of male dentists was pattern necktie and no pattern Y-shirt(28.0%), followed by no pattern necktie and Y-shirt(21.3%) or pattern shirt with no necktie, and no pattern Y-shirt with no necktie(14.7%). 7. The preference on the protective equipment worn was mask and glove(28.7%), followed by no protective equipment(26.7%), mask, glove and protective glasses(22.7%) at)d only mask(22.0%). Based on the above results, it seems that parting with the traditional white gown and wearing multi-color and pattern attire will provide psychological stability and help improve children's behavior during treatment.

The purpose of the research was to compare the preference of coloration of traditional Korean dress according to tone variation of green jacket by Korean and American women college students. The results of research can be summarized as follows. Korean students preferred skirt of vivid red color and light green jacket, but American students did not like it. Korean students did not like the skirt and jacket of same color, but American students preferred it. Both Korean and American students preferred skirt and jacket of different tone. Korean students liked skirt of dull blue and jacket of light dull green, skirt of dark blue and jacket of vivid, dull green. American students liked skirt of vivid violet and jacket of vivid dull, dark green. They also liked skirt of light yellow and jacket of light green, light skirt of blue, violet and jacket of light, dull, dark green, skirt of dark blue and vivid, light, dull gueen, skirt of dark violet and jacket of dull, dark green.
