In this text, the author examines the aspects and characteristics of the three forms that were created and enjoyed when the upper-class nobles of Japan "combined(混淆)" waka(和歌) and Chinese poetry(漢詩) between the 10th and 17th centuries. The three forms are the "Collection of Japanese and Chinese poems for singing"(和漢朗詠), "A collection of Japanese and Chinese poems" (詩歌合), and the "Renku renga"(聯句連歌). "Collection of Japanese and Chinese poems for singing" appeared in the 10th century, "A collection of Japanese and Chinese poems" appeared in the 12th century, "Renku renga" appeared in the 14th century, and all three continued to influence the history of Japanese literature after that time. As the combination of literary Japanese and Chinese progressed, the gap between waka and Chinese poetry decreased until they finally combined to create a single work. That is, waka and Chinese poetry converged in one place in multiple ways: as a work that was appropriate to be recited("Collection of Japanese and Chinese poems for singing"), facing each other work against work in a competition("A collection of Japanese and Chinese poems"), and, in the end, they reached the point where they were interchangeable as lines making up long poems(長詩)("Renku renga"). The combination of literary Japanese and Chinese can be said to be the Japanese version of the common movement in East Asian literary history during the Middle Ages to make songs from one's own language flawless in Chinese poetry. Meanwhile, by examining the status changes that appeared as Chinese poetry paralleled, fought with, replaced, and combined with waka, we can find clues to explain the attitudes of the Japanese people on Chinese poetry during the period when the three forms existed, as well as the characteristics of Japanese Chinese poetry that appeared in response to that. The preferences not of "myself" but of the "audience," content and expressions that revere the period rather than the inner self of the poet, and the fact that it is a means for enjoyable pleasure rather than having the original characteristics of lyrical poetry for self-expression are all characteristics of Chinese poetry in Japan during the early and late Middle Ages period. These characteristics can be said to be the current that flows in the underbelly of the history of Chinese literature in Japan. This author believes that the key to discussing the history of Chinese literature in Japan during the Middle Ages period from the perspective of East Asian literary history can be found here.
This article is to investigate into the philosophical background and the applicability of the humanities programmes effectively to practice them, not to educate the religious doctrines, based on the traditional-cultural resources in the education center affiliated with the religious institution. These humanities programmes can be understood on the lifelong education associated with a person. In the light of common curriculum practising in the existing education center, contents of those programmes are reviewed with classifying the humanities programmes into 3 parts, that is, eastern classical language education, eastern classical education, and eastern traditional prognosticating arts branching off from the eastern philosophy. Eastern classical language education indicates the classical Chinese characters and literatures in the context of our historical tradition. Eastern classical education implies the education which can acquire classical literatures in a modern way, as a accumulation of knowledges having been in charge of a person's lifelong education, and as a entity responsible for making a person to bring to maturity of his character by comprehending the life of human being and the world in pre-modern, Finally, the eastern philosophy is chosen for the reason that have the very interesting contents which can report facts that recover the integral relationship between nature and human being lacking in contemporaries, and instead of rejecting to interpret human being excessively in terms of materialism, is a significant one endowed with the mission which should develop his potentials through the his lifelong. Especially, eastern traditional prognosticating arts are selected that people has considered with them so kindly, and are the knowledges forming the cores of national culture. It may be a very important that attempts to develop the humanities programmes practising in the education center affiliated with the religious institution are not only the demands of the times in our days, but also a new teaching way replacing with old fashioned teachings.
This paper describes a dynamic compartment model to predict the time-dependent $^{14}C$ activity in a plant as a result of a direct exposure to an amount of $^{14}CO_2$ for a short period of time, and experimental results for the model validation. In the model, the plant consists of two compartments of the body and ears, and five carbon fluxes between the compartments, which are the function of parameters relating to the growth and photosynthesis of a plant, are considered. Model predictions were made for an investigation into the effects of the exposure time, the elapsed exposure time, and the model parameters on the $^{14}C$ radioactivity of a plant. The present model converged to a region where the specific activity model is applicable when the elapsed time of the exposure was extended up to the harvest time of a plant. The $^{14}C$ activity of a plant was predicted to be the greatest when the exposure had happened in the period between the flowering and ears-maturity on account of the most vigorous photosynthesis rate for the period. Comparison of model predictions with the observed 14C radioactivity of rice plants showed that the present model could predict the $^{14}C$ radioactivity of the rice plants reasonably well.

In this study, $CO_2$ capture efficiency in relation to the inlet moisture content of the regenerator was investigated using potassium-based sorbents in the continuous process composed of two bubbling fluidized-bed reactors, where solid outlet configuration in the regenerator was converted from underflow to overflow. XRD (X-ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and TGA were performed to find out the effect of water pre-treatment according to inlet moisture content in the regenerator. The $K_2CO_3{\cdot}1.5H_2O$ structure of solid sorbents has been increased as inlet moisture content of the regenerator increased. As a result, the $CO_2$ capture efficiency increased as the $K_2CO_3{\cdot}1.5H_2O$ structure of solid sorbents increased since the reactivity of the sorbents has been improved by that structure generated by the water pre-treatment. And $CO_2$ capture efficiency increased about 3~8% after sorbent outlet configuration of the regenerator was changed underflow to overflow.
The finding of contrasting results regarding an association between schizophrenia and the Mlul polymorphism site in the dopamine $D_3$ receptor gene prompted us to study the distribution of this palymorphism in Korean schizophrenic patients and controls. The author's approach was case-control study. Schizophrenic patients (n=66) and controls (n=76) were examined by case-control study for distribution of the Mlul polymorphism of the dopamine $D_3$ receptor gene in Korean population to minimize the effect of racial differencies in gene frequencies. The frequency of the allele 1 in schizophrenic patients and controls was 0.66 and 0.76, respectively. There was no significant differencies in the frequency of the allele 1 between schizophrenic patients and controls ($x^2$=3.07, p>.05), and between positive and negative schizophrenic patients ($x^2$=1.02, p>.05). We present here the evidence of a lack of alleic association between the Mlul polymorphism of the dopamine $D_3$ receptor gene and Korean schizophrenic patients and also report no increased homozygosity for the Mlul polymorphism. The assumption that the dopamine $D_3$ receptor gene has a predisposing role in schizophrenia was not supported by this case-control study. Although, the possibility that this gene has a minor gene effects in the etiology of schizophrenia cannot be excluded because of the intrinsic limitations of the methods of analysis and number of subjects in our study.

This study investigates how elementary students used cognitive-emotional rebuttals in the context of modeling activities, especially on how their emotional and cognitive processes lead them to use rebuttals in terms of epistemic affect. Twenty-five fifth grade elementary students participated in the study as part of their science class. During the course of their sixth periods, students constructed a human respiratory system model through continuous discussion. The research results showed that elementary students used an elaboration-oriented rebuttal, a defence-oriented rebuttal, and a blame-oriented rebuttal in their modeling activity. The elaboration-oriented rebuttal interspersed with negative epistemic affect was used to elaborate on a student's explanation, and a negative epistemic affect was elicited from their cognitive discrepancy. On the other hand, defence-oriented rebuttal and blame-oriented rebuttal entangled with negative epistemic affect were used to defeat the students rather than help rigor evaluation of students' explanation, and the negative epistemic affect was elicited from the other students' undesirable behavior. These results suggest that students' rebuttals can be elicited by epistemic dynamics related to the epistemic affect. The study shows that if negative epistemic affect were elicited from the other students' naive or false explanations, such an emotion is natural in terms of model construction, and the model can be further developed through the acceptance of the elaboration-oriented rebuttals by students' emotion regulation. In addition, we suggest that negative emotions aroused from the worsening of relationships during small group modeling activities are difficult to regulate and can have negative effects on students' cooperative model construction.
The sedimentation characteristics of ceramic fiber were analyzed when viscosity of the slurry for ceramic paper formation was varied and zeta potential change and degree of dispersion with pH were studied as well. The proper viscosity of the slurry for dispersion of fibers was between 28 and 31 cps. Zeta potential of the slurry was sensitively changed with pH adjustment and showed maximum value of -35~-36 mV at ph 7.5~9.5, which indicated better dispersion of ceramic fiber as zeta potential of the slurry was increased. The sedimentation rate of ceramic fiber in a slurry was reported minimum at the maximum zeta potential. Water content of the casted paper should be lower than 83% after vacuum dehydration for retention of binder and lower than 62% after press rolling for wet paper handling. The obtained ceramic paper had tensile strength and basis weight, $102 kgf/cm^2$ and $98 g/m^2$, respectively.
The adhesion characteristics of adsorbent during impregnation of Y-type and ZSM-5type zeolites into ceramic paper were analyzed, as the amount of silica sol in slurry for impregnation was varied. 31 wt% of zeolite particle, which is useful for VOC adsorption, was evenly dispersed and adhered on ceramic paper and original crystal structure of the zeolite remained unchanged even after binder application and heat treatment. Surface area of the impregnated ceramic paper was decreased compared with that of zeolite powder. And it was found to be attributed to the reduction of volume of mesopore while the volume of micropore under $20{\AA}$ was unchanged. Zeolite-impregnated honeycomb cylinder, whose diameter and length were 10 cm and 40 cm, respectively, was subjected to adsorption/desorption test with respect to toluene, MEK, cyclohexanone. All of the VOC's were removed by adsorption with efficiency higher than 97% and from the static adsorption test, $42 Nm^3/h$ of 300 ppmv-VOC-laden air was calculated be treated continuously, when the honeycomb was used in an adsorptive rotor system.
The optimized derived intervention levels for animal products were evaluated based on cost-benefit analysis. From these results, the radionuclide concentrations in animal feedstuffs for use were derived. It was shown that radionuclide concentrations in animal feedstuffs for use depend strongly on animal products, radionuclides and feeding period (period from the starting time to be led with contaminated feedstuffs to production time of animal products). In case of feedstuffs contaminated with long-lived radionuclides ($^{l37}Cs,\;^{90}Sr$), the feedstuffs with lower contamination should be supplied to animals with increase of feeding period due to the bioaccumulation of radionuclides. While, in case of feedstuffs contaminated with short-lived radionuclides ($^{131}I$), the feeding of higher contaminated feedstuffs was possible with increase of feeding period due to radionuclide decay. It was shown that $^{137}Cs$ concentration in animal feedstuffs lot use was lower than $^{90}Sr$ concentration. It is primarily, due to the higher feed-animal product transfer factor of $^{137}Cs$.

Objective : Accumulating evidence suggests a greater number of subcortical hyperintensities in the brain of patients with bipolar disorder. We studied the Clinical correlates of subcortical hyperintensities on magnetic resonance imaging in patients with Bipolar Disorder : Methods : Magnetic resonance images of the brain were obtained for 32 patients with bipolar disorder. The presence and location of hyperintensities were assessed. We compared clinical variables between patients with subcortical hyperintensities and patients without them. Results : Seven patients(21.8%) had subcortical hyperintensities, but among 8 patients who were 40 years or older, 5 patients(62%) had them. Age and age at onset of patients with subcortical hyperintensities were significantly older than patients without them. Psychotic symptoms were more frequent in patients with hyperintensities. Patients without hyperintensities had more familial loadings. Conclusion : Given the limitations of the study, our results should be seen as preliminary. This study, however, provides preliminary evidence supporting the notion that the onset, clinical feature and course of some bipolar disorders of late onset may be determined by underlying subcortical abnormalities, with such abnormalities being the consequence of factors related to aging or neurodegeneration(such as impaired cerebral circulation) rather than genetic factors which predispose to early-onset bipolar disorders.
