Most of the wedding shops in the domestic market are more focusing on simply copying the designs of foreign wedding dress designers than making their own designs. Beyond the purpose of how to improve the wedding dress designs which is what other previous studies were aiming, this study goes deeper than that, concentrating on separate designing of dress for a wedding celebration and a rehearsal with photo shoots. Add to this, the study also differentiates itself from others in the past, investigating how to make a gown that hides a bride's physical shortcomings. For this study, the researcher studied the literature in terms of theoretical review, and conducted the empirical research through the photo analysis of 2,725 wedding dresses which brides really wore according to domestic brides' body shapes, their images, and situations. The researcher designed 8 wedding dresses for wedding ceremony and rehearsal shooting for brides with thick arms or wide shoulder under the concept of 'Romantic Story in Your Heart'. The wedding dress's image types for photo analysis were limited to the romantic type, the elegance type, the modern type, and the classic type. The researcher applied the empire-silhouette, the one-shoulder neckline, the raglan sleeves, the cap sleeves, and the shoulder accessories to the wedding dress designs judged as effectively making up defects in body shape and making nice images as well as other design factors seen from the analysis result.

오늘날 한국 패션산업은 개화기 이후 우리의 복식 생활 자체가 서양화되면서 외국 문물의 무분별한 도입과 함께 단절되었던 전통성을 복원하여 현대의 시점에서 재창조 해야한다는 당위성을 안고 있다. 이에 현대에는 주체의식을 가지고 전통요소를 응용한 디자인 연구가 많이 시도되고 있으나, 현대 복식의 한 분야인 웨딩드레스에서는 이러한 시도가 이제 시작되는 단계로 연구가 미비한 실정이다. (중략)

Recently people are trying to lead their life with meaning and value, and people are oriented to value consumption as the values they pursue can be realized through consumption. Consumer demand on value consumption had an effect on Korean wedding culture and 'value consumption wedding culture' which emphasizes the value of marriage, is on the rise as a new wedding custom. Accordingly, Korean wedding market is more segmented and diversified for individual customization to create value. Especially, wedding dress evidently reflects the tendency of value consumption as it gives special meaning for brides. As a result, suggestion and development of detailed design elements of wedding dress to meet the various needs of customers are needed. Therefore, this study has the purpose of investigating the required value of wedding dress aligned with the characteristics of value consumption wedding culture through in-depth interviews and how the intrinsic value of consumers is shown up to a particular design element through investigating on the relationships between design elements. In addition, the study provides a direction for specialized and high-valued wedding dress design development by suggesting wedding dress design aligned with the new trend based on the analysis of detailed design elements that reflects the value.

우리나라에도 서구문화가 유입되면서 서구식 결혼식이 보편화되었고 신부의 웨딩드레스와 주얼리 디자인에 관심이 집중되어 왔다. 특히, 웨딩 소품으로 주얼리 시장의 규모가 커지면서 금속디자인은 많은 발전을 해 왔으나 보석 커팅 디자인에 대한 연구는 부족한 현실이다. 21C 소비자들의 기호에 부응하기 위해 웨딩 주얼리로서 보석의 화려함을 극대화 할 수 있는 연마 방법인 faceting 기법을 활용하여 기존의 정형화된 형태가 아닌 팬시형을 시도하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 웨딩 주얼리의 주요 보석류로 소비자들의 접근이 용이하도록 값비싼 다이아몬드를 대신할 수 있는 대중적이고 저렴한 큐빅 지르코니아 및 천연보석을 보석재로 사용하였고, 다양한 보석 커팅 디자인을 개발하였다. 웨딩주얼리의 보석 세팅기법에 알맞은 보석 커팅 스타일을 제안함으로써 웨딩주얼리의 새로운 디자인과 제작기법의 개발에 이바지할 것이다.

전 세계의 문화에 가장 많은 영향을 끼치는 미국의 경제 시장 속에서 주얼리는 우리나라의 약 10배 이상 큰 시장 규모를 형성하고 있다. 이에 연구자는 미국 주얼리 시장에 대해 알아보고 세계적 명품 주얼리 브랜드 티파니와 한국 대표 주얼리 브랜드 골든듀의 웨딩주얼리를 비교 분석함으로서 앞으로 우리나라 주얼리 시장 소비자 트렌드 기호도의 발전 방향성에 대해 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 앞으로 명품 웨딩 주얼리 브랜드로서의 발전과 더불어 한국 주얼리 시장의 성장을 위해서는 디자인 개발에 주력해야 할 것이다. 현재의 고객과 품질 관리와 다양한 디자인 개발로 소비자의 선택 폭을 확대 모색하여야 함과 골든듀 만의 디자인 특허를 통한 다양한 디자인 개발로 소비자의 선택폭을 확대 모색하여 세계 웨딩 주얼리 디자인의 트렌드 형성의 중심으로서 성장하기를 바란다.

문화마케팅이 가장 활발하게 펼쳐지고 있는 곳은 어디일까. 백화점 스포츠센터 웨딩홀 이제 그 대답을 병원에서 찾아야 할 것 같다. 건국대학교를 비롯해서 현대아산병원, 삼성병원, 세브란스병원, 국립의료원, 경희의료원 등이 음악회를 여는가 하면 미술전시 공간을 마련해 놓고 환자는 물론 지역사회를 위한 문화공간을 제공하는데 앞장서고 있다. 우리가 살아가는 데 그리 익숙하지는 않은 곳이나 몇 번씩은 꼭 찾게 되는 곳 "병원"의 변신. 우리에겐 매우 반가운 현상이 아니겠는가.

The aim of this study is to develop new wedding dress designs by blending the traditional female Korean upper garment of Han-bok, known as dang-ui, with Western-style wedding dress designs. For this research, the author considered the various types of wedding dresses and their historical development based on literary resources and previous studies of the subject. The results are as follows: first, this study featured the use of different types of fabric for the dang-ui, selected from the various fabrics available for wedding dresses. Starting from the basic design of a sleeveless and strapless princess-line tight top, three different styles of A-line dresses were created: a tiered long dress, an unbalanced tiered midi dress, and a spangled and pleated mini dress. The study also resulted in a tight H-line mini dress with a bustle. In this way, the author was able to suggest new wedding dress styles that are well suited to the cultural trend of the Korean wave. Second, the traditional Korean dang-ui is an elegant ceremonial garment that harmonizes well with Western-style wedding dresses. Satisfaction can be found from combining these creative fusion gowns with traditional Korean aesthetics. Third, the traditional Korean ceremonial coronet jokduri and veil, which go well with dang-ui wedding dresses, are suitable accessories for contemporary wedding dresses. The dang-ui wedding dress, a result of merging the Korean dang-ui and the Western style, will help enhance business for both the Korean and the international wedding industry thanks to an aesthetic that has global appeal.

현대생활에서 보석은 장신구, 액세서리와 문화 상품 등에 많이 사용되고 있으며, 천연과 합성보석을 이용한 비즈 주얼리가 큰 인기를 얻으면서 연령대와 상관없이 보편화, 대중화되었다. 그러나 비즈 보석 시장의 규모가 커짐에도 불구하고 비즈용 보석디자인은 외국의 연마법에 의존하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 비즈 주얼리는 물론 웨딩상품, 문화상품, 지역기념품에 사용 가능한 비즈용 보석디자인을 개발하였다. 다양한 비즈용 보석디자인을 제안함으로써, 보석디자인에 대한 부족한 이해와 관심을 고조시키고 보석과 장신구산업 활성화에 기여한다.

The purpose of this study is to identify trends in modern Korean clothing design through investigation and analysis of the types and respective characteristics of silhouettes, colors, materials, patterns, and decorations present. To this end, research methods such as literature research and content analysis through case study research were used. The results of the wedding magazine data analysis were largely classified by design element and based on such, the conclusions are as follows. First, in the analysis of silhouettes, the appearance rate of traditional items decreased over the selected period and that of modified items increased. Second, among the same colors, adjacent colors, proximity complementary colors, contrast, and other harmonies, adjacent color harmonies showed the highest rate of appearance. Third, the cases where the same materials were used for the top and bottom elements showed a similar appearance rate as those where different materials were used. It was also concluded that traditional materials are being replaced by modern materials. Fourth, regarding the arrangement of patterns, the appearance rate of the absence of patterns gradually increases. Fifth, there were more case of decorations than those of none. This study made it possible to grasp the changes in trends of modern Korean clothing from 2011 to 2020 and provide basic data for the development of the Korean clothing market industry.

1957년부터 시작된 미스코리아 대회에서 선발된 미스코리아들은 당 시대를 대표하는 공식적인 미인으로서 전 국민적 관심을 받아왔으며, 사회, 문화, 미용 예술학적 분야 등에서 지대한 영향을 미쳐왔다. 반면에 학문적 관심은 초기 단계에 머물고 있어, 일부 선행연구들 조차도 연구도구의 객관성과 용어의 통일성 등이 결여되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 미스코리아의 드레스 패션 스타일에 나타난 디자인 구성요소의 특징을 살펴보고, 시대별 유행경향과의 관계를 비교 분석하여 미의식 기초자료로서의 활용가치를 높이고자 한다. 본 연구는 1970년부터 2011년까지 미스코리아 시상식 드레스를 기준으로 해당 사진자료들을 수집하고, 관련 전공 교수들과 대학원생들의 예비조사와 본 조사를 거쳐 판독 분석하여 나온 의견을 토대로 연구결과를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 미스코리아 드레스 패션 스타일에 나타난 디자인 구성요소의 특징들은 미스코리아의 사랑스럽고 지적이며 때로는 섹시하고 고급스러운 여성미를 돋보이고자 연출되었으며 시대별 유행경향과의 관계는 당시대의 웨딩드레스의 유행경향이 미스코리아 드레스에 많이 반영되었음을 본 연구를 통해 확인하였다.
