In comparison with conventional types of documents, photographs present special problems in the management of any archives because of their physical properties and the nature and format of their informational content This paper is case study for the effective photographs management at the university archives. At first, sort out photographic images in the university publications, draw up work sheet by the bibliographic information of the photographic images and construct a bibliographic database based on the work sheet. Secondly, the photographic images is linked with bibliographic database. In result, users can confirm immediately photographic images on the screen by searching OPAC. This paper concludes with a problem and improvement of the photograph database at the university archives.

Photogrammetry is a non-direct 3-dimensional coordinate measurement technique using 2-dimensional photographic images. For reconstruction 3-dimensional data from the 2-dimensional photos, photogrammetry uses the fundamental principle of triangulation. Digital photogrammetry solve for the camera location and coordinates simultaneously through the mapping, scaling and bundle processing in software processing. In this paper, several applications for photogrammetry measurement are introduced, such as 'photogrammetric measurement of the gravity deformation of a cassegrain type antenna', 'analysis of photogrammetry data from ISIM mockup', 'underwater photogrammetric verification of nuclear fuel assemblies', 'spacecraft optical bench measurement' and 'spacecraft ground support equipment measurement'.

This article analyze a constructing process of photographic digital archive based on photographs of korean democratization movements. After photographic digital archive defines as integrated systems in which photographic digital objects collect, classify, describe, preserve and access, this article explains metadata elements and classification schema reflecting a special quality of photograph. Especially, this article presents dynamic classification structure using subject keywords. After all, this method provides integrity and interrelationship with photographes which promote usability of photographic digital objects.

Quadtree, which is a hierarchical data structure, is a very important data structure to represent binary images. The linear quadtree representation as a way to store a quadtree is efficient to save space compared with other representations. Therefore, it has been widely studied to develop efficient algorithms to execute operations related with quadtrees. The operations of unaligned linear quadtrees, which are operations among the linear quadtrees with different origin, are able to perform the translated or rotated images efficiently. And this operations requires alignment of the linear quadtrees. In this paper, we present an efficient algorithm to perform alignment of unaligned linear quadtrees, using three-dimensional $n{\pm}n{\pm}n$ processors on RMESH(Reconfigurable MESH). This algorithm has constant-time complexity by using efficient basic operations to route the locational codes of quardtree on the hierarchical structure of $n{\pm}n{\pm}n$ RMESH.

본 연구에서는 휴대폰에서의 효과적인 사진 검색을 지원하기 위해 사진 정보를 이용한 검색 기능을 개발하고, 이의 사용성 평가 실험을 수행함으로써 개발된 검색기능의 효용성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 사진 검색 기능은 크게 날짜 검색기능과 키워드 검색 기능의 두 가지로 구분된다. 날짜 검색 기능은 입력한 날짜에 해당하는 사진이 포함된 화면을 사용자에게 제시하는 방식이며, 키워드 검색 기능은 사용자가 입력한 키워드가 포함된 파일 이름을 갖는 사진을 검색하여 그 결과를 제시하는 방식이다. 개발된 검색 방식과 기존의 사용자 조작에 따른 화면 네비게이션을 통한 검색 방식을 대상으로 사용성 평가 실험을 수행하였다. 또한, 휴대폰에 저장된 사진 장수에 따른 작업의 수행도 및 주관적 만족도를 비교 분석하기 위하여, 120, 240, 360 장의 사진을 저장하고 있는 프로토타입을 개발하여 사용성 평가 실험에 활용하였다. 사용성 평가 실험 결과, 사진 장수가 120, 240 장일 경우는 날짜 검색과 키워드 검색의 두 방식이 검색 편의성, 기능의 적합성, 전반적 만족도 등의 주관적 만족도 측면에서 기존 검색 방식에 비하여 우수한 사용성 수준을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 사진 장수가 360 장인 경우, 날짜 검색과 키워드 검색의 활용시 검색 편의성, 기능의 적합성, 전반적 만족도가 기존 검색 방식에 비하여 우수한 성능을 갖는 것으로 분석되었고, 특히, 키워드 검색을 활용한 경우 검색 시간이 기존 검색과 날짜 검색을 활용한 경우에 비하여 우수한 성능을 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 화면 크기가 작고 입력 방식이 제한된 휴대폰 인터페이스 환경에서 효과적인 사진 검색방식을 제안하고 검증하였다는 데 의의를 가진다. 본 연구 결과는 휴대폰 메뉴 검색, 일반 파일 검색 뿐만아니라 디지털 카메라의 사진 관리 기능에도 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Nowadays, as going to information society based knowledge, the informations are acquired, processed, serviced based digital environment. In surveying field, the trend have been changed from the analog foundation to the digital foundation. Also, aerial photogrammetry is being changed from analog aerial photogrammetry to digital aerial photogrammetry. In this paper, the analysis of accuracy is performed for the comparison of traditional aerial photogrammetry with digital aerial photogrammetry usign UltracamX in AT and Block Adjustment. As the results, Bundle adjustment in digital aerial photogrammetry with GPS/INS have more advantages than traditional independent adjustment in analog aerial photogrammetry. Digital aerial photogrammetry contributes the higher accuracy in AT and block adjustment more than analog aerial photogrammetry.

Photographic records capturing the changes of a city are vital parts of local history archives. They were, however, not collected properly for the local history archives even by local governments. Therefore, as a solution for this problem, seven major cities (Seoul, Incheon, Gwangju, Ulsan, Daejeon, Busan, and Daegu) initiated the urban landscape documentation project for archiving the photographic records of each city. This study investigated the current status of the urban landscape documentation project and found that Daegu metropolitan city's project only holds some of the contest photos and a few old photos from the local government. A proper donating process is urgently needed to preserve valuable photographic records of Daegu, and this study aims solutions for the Daegu metropolitan city's urban landscape documentation project to improve the acquisition methods of photographic records. This study suggests the process for photographic records donation from citizens and a metadata set for donated photographs.

아날로그 업체에서 디지털업체로 변신 중인 필름 메이커 이스트만 코닥의 주식 폭락은 사진관련 업계에 커다란 충격과 변화를 예고하고 있다. 디지털카메라의 보급은 필름카메라의 쇠퇴와 더불어 사진인쇄 문화에도 커다란 영향을 끼치고 있다. 인터넷을 이용한 디지털이미지 커뮤니케이션은 생일, 졸업, 입학 등 특별한 날에만 촬영하던 개인의 역사를 일상화시켰다. 이는 기존 사진영역을 확장시켰을 뿐만 아니라 사진 촬영 후 인쇄라는 단순명제를 벗어나 또 다른 변화를 촉진하고 있는 것이다. 디지털카메라와 더불어 카메라 폰의 놀라운 보급력은‘손 안의 이미지세상’을 실현시키며 디지털사진의 무한한 가능성을 열었다. 이제 관련 업계의 새로운 사진인쇄문화 정착을 위한 다양한 노력이 요구된다. 이에 본지에서는 인화지 시장 현황 및 소비자의 소비심리, 향 후 전망을 알아보았다.
