우리나라 주거양식의 근대화는 단순히 전통한옥에서 현대의 주택, 아파트로의 교체가 아니라 일련의 연속적인 변화과정 속에서 시대를 살아온 사람들의 생활양식과 문화를 담고 있다고 볼 수 있다. '주택이란 삶을 담는 그릇'이라는 표현에서 볼 수 있듯이 주택이란 거주자의 가치관을 포함한 주생활양식과의 대응 속에서 주거환경의 질적 향상이 이루어질 수 있다. 따라서 주거양식의 변화에 관한 연구 또한 이러한 삶과 문화에 대응하는 방향으로 이루어져야 바람직할 것이다. 이상의 배경 하에 과거 전통주택에서부터 근대화 이후의 여러 주택유형에 이르기까지 다양한 유형을 포함한 우리 나라 주택이 가지는 공간구조의 변천을 시대적으로 조망하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여, 전통사회의 양반주택, 도시형한옥, 표준주택, 일반단독주택, 작가주택, 아파트에 이르는 다양한 주택유형을 포함하여 총 104개의 주택평면을 대상으로 공간구조의 변화에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 다양한 주택유형들이 보여주는 공간구조와 그 통시적 변화를 객관적이고 계량적인 방법론을 이용하여 관찰하고자 공간구문론의 분석방법을 이용하여 주택형식에 따른 기능적 형상학을 뛰어넘는 사회학적 형태학의 관점에서 우리나라 주거의 변천과정을 고찰하고자 한다. 상기한 바와 같이 개개의 주택형식에 대한 고려보다는 시대적 상황과 배경을 설명해주는데 용이한 대상을 중심으로 전반적인 변화의 양상과 그러한 변화에 내재한 사회적 동인과 배경을 파악하고 이해하고자 하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate facade design factors of old dwellings using a Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on a pairwise comparison analysis using "Façade Design Factors" as evaluation criteria. Traditional old dwellings were presented and evaluated. A Fuzzy AHP based model was used for pairwise comparison of traditional old dwellings, whereby seven criteria and nine alternatives were described through a questionnaire and constructional data. The Fuzzy AHP was used to determine the impact of the facade design factors, because "Traditional" old dwellings are identified by the combination of their facade design factors. Furthermore, the fuzzy AHP is used to verify the feasibility and efficiency of this approach as well as for extent analysis to comprehend the priority of the traditional old dwellings using a sensibility measuring scale.

The purpose of this study was to analyze aesthetic characteristics of Korean traditional architecture so that it resolve severance problems in modern housing. The main method adopted this study was literature analysis and case study on traditional architecture. This study did the followings; First, it reviewed literature about aesthetic characteristics of Korean traditional architecture and severance problems in modern housing. Second, it identified the main aesthetic characteristics of Korean traditional architecture to lessen severance problems in modern housing in the context of severance among people, architecture and nature. Third, it applied the analyzed aesthetic characteristics of Korean traditional architecture to modern housing and showed the housing design example.

The fuzzy theory is on the basis of understanding of the subjectivity and the ambiguity. The paradigm of the fuzzy theory is to explore a regularity from the subjectivity and the ambiguity. Nowadays, the fuzziness, the main concept of the fuzzy theory, is widely applied to a lot of fields as the theory which is positively accepted and actively interpreted. In the science, the fuzziness is officially called as multi-valence. On the other side, there exists the other theory called Han-ism which is presumed as a prototype of korean philosophy. The basic concept of the Han-ism - one, many, middle, same, about - includes the fuzziness. The purpose of this study is to unfold the interrelationship between the fuzzy theory and Han-ism, and furthermore, to interpretate the cultural phenomenon and architectural spaces in koreas traditional architecture with a viewpoint, the fuzziness of the Han-ism.
