Energy Efficient Electric Vehicle Driving Optimization Method Satisfying Driving Time Constraint (제한 주행시간을 만족하는 에너지 효율적인 전기자동차 주행 최적화 기법)

  • This paper introduces a novel system-level framework that derives energy efficient electric vehicle (EV) driving speed profile to extend EV driving range without additional cost. This paper first implements an EV power train model considering forces acting on a driving vehicle and motor efficiency. Then, it derivate the minimum-energy driving speed profile for a given driving mission defined by the route. This framework first formulates an optimization problem and uses the dynamic programming algorithm with a weighting factor to derive a speed profile minimizing both of energy consumption and driving time. This paper introduces various weighting factor tracking methods to satisfy the driving time constraint. Simulation results show that runtime of the proposed scaling algorithm is 34% and 50% smaller than those of the binary search algorithm and greedy algorithm, respectively.

  • Weight reduction is one of the important issues in the automotive industry and the development of internal combustion engines vehicles, future vehicles, and eco-friendly vehicles for improving fuel efficiency. The objective of this study is to investigate the improvement of driving performance by weight reduction and optimum design for a formula-type self-designed on-road vehicle. This study is divided into the four steps. Firstly, the engine room was replaced and designed with a lighter engine. Secondly, an optimization study was conducted to simplify and lighten the vehicle components with the design of the frame. Thirdly, the structure design was optimized and the suspension was analyzed with the design of the frame. Finally, the design of an upright and hub with reduced weight was carried out using lighter parts. As a result, we reduced the weight of the vehicle by 48.5kg compared to the previous year (19.5%) and increased the acceleration from 6.8 s to 5.8 s.s.

  • This study examines the employment relations of TNC subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe(CEE). Specifically, this study analyzes the employment relations of Volkswagen subsidiaries, which has led the restructuring the CEE's automobile industry since the collapse of socialist regimes, and Hyundai subsidiaries, which has sought to cast employment relations through Greenfield Investment as a latecomer. After the collapse of socialism, with the massive inflow of foreign direct investment and the social legacy of weak labor unions, CEE has been included in the global production network as low-wage production base. Both VW and Hyundai have entered the CEE with their own characteristics and global strategies that have been developed in their home countries and have developed the local production. In the process, both have formed local employment relations, combining low-wage, unstable employment, and weak labor unions of CEE under their own strategy. In recent years, however, it has been doubtful of the sustainability of employment relations based on the advantages of low-wage production bases, as the pools of low-wage workforce decline and new union movements occur in CEE. These changes in CEE are an indication of the inherent contradiction of low-wage production base strategies.

  • 자성재료는 각종 전자품에서 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 소재로서 가전제품, 컴퓨터, 통신설비, 자동차 및 국방산업과 직결되어 있다. 현재 중국은 각종 자성재료의 생산량이 세계 1위이며 자성재료 생산대국과 산업중심의 역할을 하고 있다. 중국 자성재료의 중, 장기 시장 발전 전망이 매우 유망한 바, 중국의 자성재료 생산품의 전세계에서의 인식은 한층 더 올라갈 것으로 본다. 과학기술 독창능력, 기술개조와 기업의 관리수준을 반드시 강화시키고 산업구조를 조절하고 생산품의 등급을 한 단계 상승시켜 중국을 자성재료 대국으로부터 강국으로 진입하도록 인도해야 한다는 전략은 지난 11월초 중국 상해에서 개최한 "중국 자성재료 산업 중장기 발전 전략 포럼"에서 제기된 것이다. 본문에서는 이 포럼에서 발표된 내용과 산업계의 통계자료를 바탕으로 거시적인 각도에서 중국 자성체 산업의 전체적인 현황을 분석하였고 희토류 영구자석 특히 중국의 소결과 본드 NdFeB 자석의 산업현황을 소개했고, 희토류 영구자석에 대한 중국의 연구개발 상황을 소개했으며 자성체 산업발전의 전망에 대한 예측과 분석도 수행하였다.

Forecasting the Volume of Imported Passenger Cars at PyeongTaek·Dangjin Port Using System Dynamics (시스템다이내믹스를 활용한 평택·당진항 수입 승용차 물동량 예측에 관한 연구)

  • Pyeongtaek·Dangjin port handles the largest volume of finished vehicles in Korea, including more than 95% of imported cars. However, since the volume of imported cars has been stagnant since 2015, officials planning to invest in port development or automobile-related industries must make new forecasts. Economic variables such as the GDP often have been used in predicting automobile volume, but prior research showed that the impact of these economic variables on automobile volume I has been gradually decreasing in developed countries. These variables remain important predictors, however, in developing countries that experience rapid economic growth. In this study, predicting the volume of imported passenger cars at Pyeongtaek·Dangjin port, the decreasing Korean population was a major factor we considered. Our forecast showed that the volume of imported passenger cars at Pyeongtaek·Dangjin port will gradually decrease -by 2021. The Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) verification was performed to measure the accuracy of the predicted results, and the scenario analysis was performed on the share of imported passenger cars.

  • By mobile technique and vehicle industry development, vehicle service industry based on Intelligent network as telematics service will be more raised. Most of countries expect its industrial market so that many researches and standardization are being advanced. For the telematics service, the vehicle safety technique will be very important so that its research should be expected. Hence, in this paper, we propose a design mechanism for the alerting car accident to identify or avoid dangerous accident by the network of cars.

  • Fashion in modern society reflects contemporary times as well as plays an important role in understanding the relationship with various objects and socio-cultural phenomena. Fashion is also based on the idea that is accepted as suitable under contemporary judgement that forms an aesthetic notion of beauty and creates infinite ideal and fantasy. There is a need to see fashion from a broad approach within the socio-cultural concept. Fashion Thinking, based on diversified research on social roles and fashion value has been widely used in other industrial fields; consequently, this study examines phenomena that appears in the automobile industry. This study helps reveal the implied influence of Fashion Thinking toward other industries and socio-cultural aspects, by deriving characteristics and value of Fashion Thinking through an analysis of the applied cases of Fashion Thinking in the automobile industry. The result of this study has a practical meaning that lays the foundation for understanding Fashion Thinking for innovative creative management and utilizing it effectively in other industrial fields such as the automobile industry.

A Study on Uncertainty Quantification and Performance Confidence Interval Estimation for Application to Digital Twin of Oscillating Water Column Type Wave Power Generator System (진동수주형 파력발전 시스템의 디지털 트윈 적용을 위한 불확실성 정량화 및 성능 신뢰구간 추정 연구)

  • Oscillating water column (OWC) type wave power generator system is a power generation system that uses wave energy, a sustainable and renewable energy source. Irregular cycles and wave heights act as factors that make it difficult to secure generation efficiency of the wave power generator system. Recently, research for improving power generation efficiency is being conducted by applying digital twin technology to OWC type wave energy converter system. However, digital twin using sensor data can predict erroneous performance due to uncertainty in the sensor data. Therefore, this study proposes an uncertainty analysis method for sensor data which is used in digital twin to secure the reliability of digital twin prediction results. Uncertainty quantification considering sensor data characteristics and future uncertainty information according to uncertainty propagation were derived mathematically, and confidence interval estimation was performed based on the proposed method.

Technology Transfer Process of Daegu Automotive Parts Industry (대구 자동차부품산업의 기술이전 프로세스)

  • This paper analyzes the technology transfer mechanism of companies clustered in a specific economic space from the perspective of absorptive capacity, taking the Daegu automotive parts industry as an example. According to the analysis results, The absorptive capacity of a company was found to be positively related to the supplier, channel, method, and institutional interaction of technology transfer. Low absorptive capacity limits technology transfer by reducing companies' technology search capabilities, while high absorptive capacity gives companies access to technology search and various technology transfer opportunities through formal and informal channels. These results suggest that, in the short term, it is necessary to supplement the search capabilities of companies through preemptive visiting services of local intermediaries for the vitalization of regional technology transfer, while in the long term, a policy approach focusing on enhancing the absorptive capacity of local companies is required. For effective implementation of these policies, a multi-layered governance approach corresponding to each level of companies' absorptive capacities is required in establishing an interface structure that promotes linkage between institutional actors.

  • IT 융합이 중요해지는 최근의 스마트카 시장은 새로운 변화의 시기를 맞이하고 있다. 구글, 애플, 우버, 테슬라 등 신생업체들의 자동차 관련 시장 진출은 자동차 관련 시장의 재편을 예고하고 있으며, 동시에 자동차사에게 새로운 스마트카 전략을 가져가도록 하고 있다. 산업 구조의 변화, 미래 이동성, 신생 업체의 도전에 대응하기 위한 자동차사의 전략도 다변화되고 있다. 특히, 차량용 클라우드와 차량용 사물인터넷과 관련된 분야에서 자동차사들의 대응이 빨라지고 있다. 이 글에서는 자동차 시장의 변화 방향을 정리하고, 신생 업체의 전략과 이에 대응하는 자동차사 전략에 대해서 살펴 본다.
