Health inequality means health gaps that can be affected adverse effects to the vulnerable groups in a society. Many scholars argue that it is needed social interventions to reduce health gaps between the vulnerable and the privileged in a society, because social inequalities can be caused and resulted health inequality among them. In this context, this article introduces Korean out of school children health check-up as part of the policies to reduce health inequality in the society. For a long time, many out of school children have been alienated from the national health checkup systems. That means they are not only marginalized groups in Korean society, but also excluded from the benefits of health promotion and health management. Many runaway youths are struggling to live by themselves, who are escaped from their families and they don't have enough resources to keep their health. They are also young and low waged workers who are expelled to the streets, while they don't have any support and protection from the communities. Out of school children health checkup has been conducted to the adolescents who stay in the shelters or study in alternative schools. To get meaningful results as the health inequality reduction policy, it is needed to expand out of children health checkup to the runaway teenagers.

Venture capitalists (VCs) play an important role in finding and growing innovative venture companies with high growth potential but high risk. Venture capital investment does not depend on the system, unlike the investment for listed companies. Korea's venture capital industry has entered a period of growth, but lack of data has led to a lack of research on venture capital. Based on this background, this study attempts to analyze various factors affecting investment decision criteria of Korea VCs. In this study, I examined the major factors that VCs consider in decision making of investment through literature review, and I have drawn the research question accordingly. I will focus on the characteristics of founders, products / services, markets, financials, and networks that scholars share common investment decision criteria in Korean VCs. For the purpose of this study, the data were collected through the questionnaire surveyed by investment vetters working in current venture capital and analyzed using AHP analysis. Through this study, I tried to understand the Korean venture capital which has been poorly studied and what criteria and priorities Korean VCs make investment decisions in the Korean venture investment environment. The results of this research will contribute to the vitalization of venture investment, which is important for the upbringing of companies, by providing guidelines for establishing investment attraction strategies of venture companies.
This paper is based on the effects of Zone of Proximal Development and scaffolding theory of social constructivist, Russian psychologist Vygotsky. He insisted that a social interaction play a fundamental role in the development of cognition. This study is to examine the efficient of the scaffolding types in Math class. The ZPD is the distance between a student's ability to perform a task under adult guidances or with peer collaboration and the student's ability solving the problem independently. To conduct the research was grouped into an experimental first grader five students in H high school in Y county. After class, students were questioned through Semi-structured interviews. The results of this study are below. First, Students were satisfied with the class mixed micro-scaffolding types and Macro-scaffolding types and improved their math thinking ability and the ways of solving problems. Second, The results of the class showed that students' ability to perform a task was transferred to the higher level through the help of a teacher or peers. Students could have more time to listen to peers' opinions and to say their own thoughts freely than they were under the lecture method instruction. Third, Students were interested in math through the experimental class. That's because the appropriate help of the scaffolding type, a cooperate study, relative with real life, using an engineering tools. They made a change of perception.
This article examines the academic world of Professor Sa jin-sil. This article is not a detailed and rigorous assessment of Prof. Sa's work. During my directly or indirectly meeting with Prof. Sa jin-sil, the writing was based on my experiences. This is why the theme of "participatory observation records" is attached. I was aware that this writing would become a customary and formal funeral speech. Because I thought Prof. Sa also did not want formal and customary writing. The initiation of the participatory observational records that I describe was the literature study of Prof. Sa. What I am about to say in the title of the table of "Known Performance and to Revalue." There I summarized my thoughts on what Prof. Sa contributed to the research of the literature study on traditional performance and my opinion of the justice of the assessment of her contributions. I have not recommitted again about contributions or achievements that have already been widely recognized. What I noticed here was what was to be revalued. I once again stressed the achievements that were not properly evaluated despite their importance and significance. In the ensuing discussion, I looked at Prof. Sa's entirely different academic side. I call the passage "an unexpected result against prejudice." The subjects covered were Prof. Sa's field-contextual studies. Prof. Sa is often referred to as a dramatical history or a traditional performing arts scholar who studies literature. Such an idea is so common that it is easy to overlook field-contextual research results, not literature-based. But I think this is prejudice. That is why the title of the table of contents has the words 'unexpected' and 'prejudice'. Here I actively emphasized and evaluated Professor Sa's achievements in field-contextual studies.
This article found that establish of the new study, "Archaeology of Textile", and its process of development based on the Silk Road from China. Archaeology of Textile which is formed by the modern archeology in the 20 centuries developed is a research focused on textile and is required experts knowledge of archaeology, natural science, and history of textile. Textiles are the most difficult to handle of existing antiquities and it is rare to be excavated perfectly. However, the early archaeologists were interested in the Silk Road inconsistently. There were various kinds of silk and embroidery in the center of excavation process. In China, there are still numerous textiles have been excavating from across the country which has leaded to the top level of the textile study in the world. Compare to China, Korea hasn't excavated textile much, and we've been having a difficulty to research with small pieces of textile fabrics. With lack of understanding of textile, it is insignificant to excavate relic such as Chunma-Chong(天馬塚), tomb of king Muryeong(武寧王陵) which has started in-depth studying after 30 years later since it was discovered. Accordingly, a history of archeological textile will be introduced and make sure the possibility of study of excavated textile will make sure through this study.
The Japanese colonial authority investigated and institutionalized Korea's cultural properties for the purpose of governance. This process was conducted by Japanese officials and scholars, and systematized after making some changes. The Reservation Rule (1916) and the cultural properties designated in 1934 were actually the starting point for Korea's current cultural property policy. In the view of lineup of 'committee' that consider all of cultural property and changing of 'cultural property list', this study discusses the cultural property policy implemented by Joseon's Government-General, which can be summarized as follows. First, Joseon's Government-General formed a committee (Preservation Society) to formulate the cultural property policy, and had the policy implemented by appointing Governor officials who accounted for more than half the total number of officials of the institution. Although some Koreans were concerned about this, they had no influence on the matter. Second, the cultural properties listed by Joseon's Government-General are divided into three periods according to the lists. The compilation of the first list was led by Sekino Tadashi, who represented the grading system (1909~1916); while that of the second list (1917~1933) was led by Guroita Gatsumi, who represented listing (1917~1933). Guroita Gatsumi tried to erase Sekino Tadashi's list by formulating the cultural property policy and the list - a situation that was revealed in the system and the actual contents of the list. The third list was made as a list of designated cultural properties in 1934. This list also reflected the results of Sekino Tadashi investigation of the important cultural properties at existing temples that had been excluded from the previous regulations (1934~1945). In this way, a basic framework for the listing of Korean cultural properties was established in 1934.
The purpose of this study is to develop an astronomical observing education program that enables high school students to inquire the distance of astronomical bodies based on the research methods (observing open clusters and exploring collected big data) using small telescopes and DSLR cameras. After analyzing the 2015 revised science curriculum, we developed science club activity materials and teacher-student learning contents suitable for high school earth science education. A panel of six teachers and researchers of earth science education and astronomy, participated in developing the educational materials. The validity of the program was verified through establishing the agreement among the panels after in-depth discussions and clarifications. The program, developed with 10 lessons in total, showed high satisfactory content validity (CVI, .89) and conformity of school class (Likert's 5 point scales, 4.17). The feedback of the panels and the Delphi analysis continued to improve the quality of the program. The pilot testing result with high school students (N=9) showed that the students' satisfaction rate was high as 4.48. Using the astronomical observational education program of this study is expected to contribute in improving the convergence educational activity, interest, curiosity, and inquiry ability of students in the universe and the astronomical bodies.
Maul is a rural community with common culture and self-government system and generally consists of tens of houses living together in Korea. Maul is different from a village in the West. Maul archive is a community archive of a maul. It is not only the space to record the life of residents, history and culture of a maul but also the space to realize democracy by the participation of maul residents and to satisfy the cultural life of current residents. Nowadays, it is very important to establish maul archives to connect mauls and to communicate with the outside world, to reinforce the orignal form in maul culture and revive the alienated maul culture. To establish the maul archives, it is necessary to draw the recognition and continuous interest of the central and local government and scientifical study of scholars. The first step to found maul archives is to organize a committee. Then the committee will benchmark the preceding practices, collect, record and manage the maul archives. The maul archives is recommended to be housed in an existent traditional house with some remodeling for spaces of display and education, preservation and management. I believe that the maul archive is culturally meaningful for the resident. They will enjoy and develop their lives better, connected to outside world. The co-operation of the scholar, the resident, and the government will foster the maul archive to a success.
It has been basic value and fundamental philosophy for a long time for archivists to protect neutrality and objectivity in records management. The demands to maintain objectivity of records management is directly related to protect the administrative and legal evidence of records for fulfilling jurisdictional goal, and more fundamentally, it is related with the intrinsic nature of archives. As an archivists' expertise is seems to be derived from ability to give objective-judge on record value, and candor to organize and classify records. Thus, the international Code of Ethics of archivists stipulates that all such obligations directly or indirectly. However, since Hans Booms and Terry Cook emphasized the social responsibility of archivists and highlighted the social power of archives, the discourse of archival objectivity gets to be given more attention to people. This article, following the cultural anthropologist Clifford Geertz' interpretative methodology theory, examine the archival implications to adopt the theory, particularly from the perspective of objectivity and archival otherness.
This study focused on the concept of organizational learning as a prior variable of innovation activities, and reviewed the relationship between organizational learning, innovation and management performance. According to prior studies, the ability to perform these activities may be enhanced through organizational learning, as the success of the innovation requires activities to acquire and share knowledge within the organization. In other words, organizational learning is playing a role as a precursor to innovation. Therefore, in this study, the effects of organizational learning on management performance are to be verified through the mediation effect of product and innovation activities. Organizational learning provides various definitions and components for each scholar, but this study consisted of a series of knowledge acquisition, information distribution, information analysis and process memory using the framework of the learning ability analysis by Levitt and March(1988) and Huber(1991), Innovation was also divided into product innovation and process innovation, and measured with sub-variables such as presentation of new products and improvement activities to increase productivity. Management performance was measured as financial and non-financial performance. To verify the effects of the mediation, we used a three-step regression analysis procedure of Baron and Kenny(1986)'s and a sobel-test. Empirical studies show that organizational learning has a positive effect on management performance and that knowledge acquisition and information distribution, which are the early stages of learning activities in the lower variables, affect performance through product innovation. Based on the results of the above empirical study, the implications, limitations of the study and future research directions were presented.
