Development of Education Program for Line-Tracer Simulation using Scratch EPL (스크래치 EPL을 활용한 라인트레이서 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • In this paper, we have selected traveling algorithms of Line-Tracer as the focused learning elements with the PBL-based programming instruction method. Line-Tracer traveling algorithm programming has been simulated using the Scratch EPL. Development of robot web courseware such as Line-Tracer can create an effective educational environment and also provide solutions for lack of environmental conditions, such as time or spatial factor restrictions and excessive expense issues; these are major obstacles to developing robot programming education. Finally, we analyzed the effects on growth of student's logical thinking and problem solving abilities by demonstrating the Scratch application courseware to the field of elementary education.

An Analysis of Web Courseware Development, Dissemination and Usage Status in Elementary School (웹 코스웨어 개발·보급·활용 실태 및 개선 방안에 관한 연구 - 초등학교 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the status of development, dissemination, and usage of web courseware for elementary school. Also, this study investigated the problems and improvement strategies. The subjects were 52 researchers from Offices of Education and private companies and 528 teachers and 527 students from elementary schools. Questionnaires were used to collect the data. The study results indicated as follows: First, web courseware are insufficient. It is necessary to provide sufficient budgetary support for development of web courseware. Second, many of web courseware are inconsistent with the curriculum and class environment. To resolve this problem, more teachers should be involved in web courseware development. Third, web courseware usage level was very low because of the lack of information and training. In-service training program should be changed from computer literacy oriented to teaching method with web courseware.

  • 정보사회가 도래하면서 제7차 교육과정에서는 ICT 교육이 강조되고 있으나 컴퓨터 활용측면에서 교과내용이 편성되어 있고 컴퓨터의 구조와 그 동작원리에 관한 내용은 미흡하다. 그러나 컴퓨터의 구조와 원리에 대한 지식은 정보사회의 기초가 되는 핵심적인 지식일 뿐 아니라 수요가 급증하고 있는 정보기술 인력의 수급면에서도 필요하므로 그 교육이 강화되어야한다고 본다. 본 연구에서는 프로세서의 구조와 동작원리 중에서 연산부분을 중심으로 초등학생들의 수준에 맞게 시뮬레이션 형태로 설계한다. 이를 통하여 학습자가 조기에 컴퓨터의 내부구조와 동작원리에 대한 관심을 가지게 되고 나아가 컴퓨터관련 학문의 기초를 마련하고, 미래사회의 요구에도 부합될 것이라고 기대한다.

  • 교수 학습용 디지털 콘텐츠에서 상호작용은 매우 중요하며 이와 관련된 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 상호작용을 제공하기 위해서는 하위단계의 프로그래밍 및 시스템 설계를 위한 시간적 경제적 비용이 반드시 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 사용자에게 프로그래밍이 요구되지 않는 친숙한 'Pencil & Paper' 방식의 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안 인터페이스에서는 디지털 잉크 인터페이스를 기반으로 교수자가 프레젠테이션 하기 위한 상호작용을 분석한다. 또한 교수자를 대신할 가상 프레젠터의 애니메이션 효과를 적용하여 교수자와 학습자간의 활발한 상호작용을 제공한다. 본 연구의 결과는 온라인 교육이나 전자 책, 지능형 교육 시스템 등 상호작용이 가능한 교육용 컨텐츠 개발에 확대 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Computers can intensify the students' motivation and understanding about the solution to the problems in class, therefore, computers can be the most appropriate educational tools for the study of problem solving and have been also recognized as a representable study method in the information age, which can pass on various educational experience to the right place at the right time. Mutimedia producing tool helps us develop and maintain the educational courseware by way of using general technology of multimedia system. In this thesis, it presents the efficient development process of educational software by using mutimedia producing tool, its educational advantages and problems, and its future progress direction as well.

  • 최근 IT를 포함한 모든 산업 및 기술 영역에서는 포준화 활동을 기반으로 하여 융복합화(Convergence) 현상이 두드러지고 있다. 이는 또한 e-Learning 산업 및 기술에서도 큰 화두이다. 현재 e-Learning 표준화에서 시장에서 주도권을 행사하고 있는 것은 ADL의 SCORM 규격이다. 데이터방송 영역에서는, 북미에서 지상파와 케이블 TV간 콘텐츠 호환성 확보를 위해 ATSC와 케이블랩(CableLabs)이 공동 연구 중인 ACAP을 통해서 지상파-케이블 공통 표준화가 진행중이다. 이에 본 논문은 3-Learning 산업 및 기술에서의 융복합화의 일 영역으로 그리고 방송통신융합서비스의 일환으로 인터넷 기반 학습 환경과 TV 기반 학습 환경에서의 학습 콘텐츠 ( 및 코스웨어) 상호운용성에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 인터넷 기반의 e-Learning의 사실상의 표준으로 받아들여지고 있는 SCORM 규격과 DTV 환경 기반의 데이터방송 지상파-케이블 공통 규격인 ACAP간의 상호운용 API 개발을 통하여, SCORM 규격과 ACAP 규격의 상호운용성을 가능하게 하는 학습 콘텐츠 및 T-Learning 운용환경을 연구$\cdot$개발하였다.

  • This paper proposes an agent-based adaptive tutoring system that monitors learning process of learners' and provides learning materials dynamically according to the analyzed learning character. Furthermore, it uses fuzzy concept to evaluate learners' ability and to provide learning materials appropriate to the level of learners'. For this, we design a courseware knowledge structure systematically and then construct a fuzzy level set on the basis of it considering importance of learning targets, difficulty of learning materials and relation degree between learning targets and learning materials. Using agent, monitoring continually the learning process of learners 'inferencing to offer proper hints in case of incorrect answer in learning assesment, composing dynamically learning materials according to the learning feature and the evaluation of assesment, our system implements effectively adaptive instruction system. Moreover, appling the fuzzy concept to the system could naturally consider and ideal with various and uncertain items of learning environment thus could offer more flexible and effective instruction-learning methods.

Development of an Adaptive Instruction System Applying Gregorc's Learning Style (Gregorc 학습 스타일을 적용한 적응형 교수 시스템 개발)

  • This study developed an adaptive instruction system for individual learning. We applied Gregorc's learning style to support the adaption. This proposed Instruction system provides instruction content based on a more effective instruction method that takes into consideration the learner's individual learning style. We applied Gregorc's learning style to create a clear treatment of differing learning styles. Proposed adaptive instruction system was applied to college students studying computer learning. A t-test indicated that our proposed adaptive instruction system resulted in positive effects in an overall style comparison. In addition, our Abstract-Sequential learning style indicated the most effective results while the Abstract-Random learning style indicated no difference between the experimental and comparative groups in each style analysis for Gregorc's learning style.

For this, we design a courseware knowledge structure systematically and then construct a fuzzy level set on the basis of it considering importance of learning targets, difficulty of learning materials and relation degree between learning targets and learning materials. Using the fuzzy level set, our system offers learning materials and questions to adapt to individual students. Moreover, a result of the test is evaluated with fuzzy linguistic variable. Appling the fuzzy concept to the tutoring system could naturally consider and deal with various and uncertain items of learning environment thus could offer more flexible and effective instruction-learning methods.

  • In this study, We are developed learner traits analysis and profile management software modules to develop learnable courseware fits to learner's individual traits in cyber learning system. We specified learner's personal information, performance information, preference information and portfolio information as learner's traits variables in this study, these four types of information are managed in learner profile management DB based on elaborate analysis to learner's traits. And we consists of curriculum sequencing module using high and low level sequencing technology, these are used in organizing learning contents sequencing with learning topic and specific learning task. The advice algorithm module developed based on adaptive navigational support and rule based technology. This Result of Research are able to be used for develop learnable courseware fits to learner's individual traits in cyber learning systems.
