Analysis of Undergraduate Students' Perception of the Concept of System as Integrated Theme (통합 주제로서의 시스템 개념에 대한 대학생들의 인식 분석)

  • The goal of the study was to examine undergraduate students' perception of the importance of the concept of system in science. The participants are six undergraduate students in the department of science education. Data sources included interviews and interview notes. Results showed that students understood the concept of system as a group of objects, space, and boundaries, which differed from a previous research study about its details. The students also were able to explain the concept of system related with the process of problem solving. The students recognized as well the selection of system for analysis of natural phenomenon, explaining that the selection of system was determined by purpose of the observer. Lastly, the students explained that the concept of system was useful for science learning because it was strongly related with other science concepts, understanding of interactions, and learner's cognitive development.

A study on improving the performance of the machine-learning based automatic music transcription model by utilizing pitch number information (음고 개수 정보 활용을 통한 기계학습 기반 자동악보전사 모델의 성능 개선 연구)

  • In this paper, we study how to improve the performance of a machine learning-based automatic music transcription model by adding musical information to the input data. Where, the added musical information is information on the number of pitches that occur in each time frame, and which is obtained by counting the number of notes activated in the answer sheet. The obtained information on the number of pitches was used by concatenating it to the log mel-spectrogram, which is the input of the existing model. In this study, we use the automatic music transcription model included the four types of block predicting four types of musical information, we demonstrate that a simple method of adding pitch number information corresponding to the music information to be predicted by each block to the existing input was helpful in training the model. In order to evaluate the performance improvement proceed with an experiment using MIDI Aligned Piano Sounds (MAPS) data, as a result, when using all pitch number information, performance improvement was confirmed by 9.7 % in frame-based F1 score and 21.8 % in note-based F1 score including offset.

Instructional Design of m-Learning for Effective PBL in Engineering Education (공학교육에서 효율적 PBL을 위한 m-러닝 교수설계)

  • This paper aimed to design a computer course teaching-learning strategy for (m-learning?) to be used in a Problem Based Learning (PBL) environment. The research findings were as follows. Firstly, learning contents were provided as educational tools for mobile device usage. The educational contents provided were designed for effective usage on mobile devices, such as smartphones, thereby making mobile devices suitable for use as learning tools. Secondly, learning contents for PBL were provided. PBL problems (for computer engineering courses) were made with the principles of teaching plans. The learning objectives were achieved through the problem-solving progress of the learners and their self-directed and cooperative learnings. Thirdly, learning resources were provided that were easily accessible through smartphones, laptops and PDAs. This study is about the PBL instructional design of creative engineering design subjects, which aims to foster talent. The PBL model developed in this study consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. We made a plan for creative engineering design subjects based on PBL, and focused on the process of PBL. This research was able to establish the basis for PBL usage in Engineering Schools and help achieve its ultimate goal of endowing professional intellectuals with creative problem-solving abilities.

Characteristics of Teaching Orientation and PCK of Science Teachers in Online-offline Mixed Learning Environment (온-오프라인 혼합 학습환경에서 과학교사의 교수 지향과 PCK 특징)

  • This study explore characteristics of teaching orientation and pck of science teachers in online-offline mixed learning environment. Data consisted of open-ended survey, semi-structured interview, class observation, field notes from 12 science teachers. We categorized teaching orientation considering both science education goals and science teaching·learning orientation. There were 8 different teaching orientations such as 'understanding science concepts-lecture centered' 'constructing science concepts-inquiry based' 'applying science concepts and inquiry-inquiry based' 'applying science concepts and inquiry-lectured centered' 'analyzing and judging science information-inquiry based' 'developing scientific attitude-inquiry based' 'developing scientific attitude-lecture centered' and 'developing perception of interrelationships among science, technology, and society-inquiry based'. Teachers with inquiry based teaching·learning orientation seemed to have knowledge of science curriculum specific to online learning environment for student inquiry. While teachers with 'understanding science concepts-lecture centered' teaching orientation appeared to have questioning strategy of checking student understanding and strategy of repeating a lecture, teachers with 'constructing science concepts-inquiry based' teaching orientation appeared to have knowledge of instructional strategies to perform online group activities targeting student construction of knowledge and to replace face-to-face group activities with virtual experiments and individual experiments. While teachers with 'understanding science concepts-lecture centered' teaching orientation did not show knowledge of student science learning, teachers with 'constructing science concepts-inquiry based' teaching orientation appeared to have knowledge of student difficulties in inquiry based learning.

On-Line Multimedia Cyber Education System (온라인 멀티미디어 사이버교육 시스템)

  • 초고속 인터넷의 확산으로 인해 교육시스템이 서서히 바뀌어가고 있다. 칠판과 책, 노트, 펜을 이용한 수업이 빔 프로젝트와 컴퓨터를 통한 수업으로 대체되어가고 있고, 나아가 인터넷을 이용한 사이버 교육시스템이 점차 확산되고 있다. 사이버 교육을 통해 공간의 제약성을 무너뜨리고, 교통비와 이동 시간 등을 절약할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 다운로드한 강의 자료를 Off-Line 상에서 반복 학습 할 수 있다는 커다란 장점이 있다. 이런 사이버 원격 교육에는 크게 3가지의 데이터, 즉 음성, 화상 및 판서 데이터가 있는데, 본 논문에서는 이 데이터들을 어떻게 하여 효율적으로 데이터를 관리할 수 있는 지, 그리고 강의 자료를 제작시 어떻게 하여 강의 제작 및 수정이 용이할지에 대해 그 구현 방안을 제안한다.

  • 유비쿼터스 개념의 방송 및 통신 사업은 방송-컴퓨터-사물-사람 연계의 실현이 우선되어야 한다. 여기에 방송의 디지털 미디어 기술과 정보장치가 가정의 TV이든, 이동시의 휴대폰이든, PC나 노트북이든, 혹은 개인과 관련된 모든 사물이 통합 네트?p으로 연결 될 때 비로소 그 가치를 발휘하게 된다. 최적화된 유비쿼터스 방송 교육 운용 시스템이란 이러한 각종 미디어와 전자 감응 장치를 장착시킨 물건들을 u-컴퓨팅하여 개인과 특정 집단이 원하는 때와 장소에서 원하는 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 전자 유기체를 가리킨다. 이러한 통합 학습 유기체란 개개인의 능력은 물론 성격이나 욕망까지 컴퓨팅할 수 있는 전자지능시스템과 개인의 내적욕망을 채워주는 다양한 콘텐츠, 그리고 주변기기나 장치 등, 모든 디지털 교육환경까지를 의미한다. 변화란 인간의 욕구에 따라 커스터마이징하는 것이다. 그러한 점에서 급변하는 세상의 변화에 다양한 가치를 추구하고자 하는 교육에 대한 인간의 욕망을 실현하기 위해 개인화된 통합 방송 디지털 미디어, 유비쿼터스 홈 네트워킹과 기술, 그에 따른 다양한 교육 콘텐츠의 통합 개발은 이제 절실한 과제가 되고 있다.

A Study on the Usage of Digital Device Based on Digital Literacy (디지털 리터러시에 기반한 디지털 기기 활용방안 연구)

  • 4차 산업혁명이 언급되면서 3D 프린터, 로봇, 인공지능, 빅데이터 등 신기술이 발전하고 이는 사회 구조를 변화시킬 것으로 예상된다. 이에 새로운 디지털 기기, 기술들을 이해하는 디지털 리터러시가 중요해지고 있다. 2015 OECD PISA에서 ICT 배경조사 중 한국은 접근성, 활용성 부분과 2018 국가수준 디지털 리터러시 수준 측정연구, 학생들의 디지털 기기의 인식 여부 및 활용 여부 실태조사를 바탕으로 디지털 기기 활용 공간 구성 및 디지털 기기 활용 콘텐츠를 다음과 같이 제안하였다. 먼저 구체적 조작기인 초등학생임을 고려하여 디지털 기기 위주 프로그램으로 선정하였다. 디지털 기기 활용 공간은 기반 기기로 컴퓨터(노트북), 유 무선 인터넷, 디지털 기기로 3D 프린터 및 3D 프린팅 펜, 스마트폰 기반 VR기기, AR마커, 블록코딩 기반 피지컬 컴퓨팅 교구 등을 이용해서 구성하였다. 활용하는 콘텐츠는 학생들의 인식 여부 및 수준에 맞춰 체험 위주의 프로그램과 학습, 콘텐츠 제작, 문제해결 프로그램으로 제시하였다.

  • The autonomous driving drones experimented in the existing indoor corridor environment was a way to give the steering command to the drones by the neural network operation of the notebook due to the limitation of the operation performance of the drones. In this paper, to overcome these limitations, we have studied autonomous driving in indoor corridor environment using NVIDIA Jetson TX2 board.

  • 본 논문에서는 구현한 것은 워드프로세서 자격검정 모의고사를 유선 인터넷을 통하여 테스트 해볼 수 있는 프로그램이다. 워드프로세서 시험 등급은 1급으로 구성되어 있으며, 유선으로 이용 가능한 서비스를 좀 더 확대하여 모바일 기기로도 접속하여 응시내역을 확인할 수 있도록 제작되었다. 또한 모의고사 응시 후 과목별 오답노트를 제공하여, 틀린 문제를 모의고사 후에 재복습도 가능하도록 설계 및 구현하였고, 다른 응시생과 시험 결과를 비교할 수 있도록 하여 자신의 현재 성적 중에서 부족한 부분을 확인한 후 추가 학습을 통해 채울 수 있도록 하였다. 모바일 기기를 통해 유선 인터넷에서 응시한 모의고사의 응시내역을 확인할 수 있도록 구현한 것은 시간 및 공간의 제약없이 확인하는 방법을 제공하기 위함이다.

Student difficulties in constructed-response mathematics assessments: A case study of writing activities for low-performing first-year high school students (수학 서술형 평가의 어려움과 지도 방안: 고교 1학년 노력형 학생의 쓰기 활동 사례 연구)

  • This study aims to analyze low-performing high school students' difficulties in constructed response (CR) mathematics assessments and explore ways to use writing activities to support student learning. The participants took CR assessments, engaged in guided writing activities across 15 lessons, and provided responses to our interviews. The study identified 20 types of student difficulties, which were sorted into two main categories: "mathematical difficulties" and "CR difficulties." The difficult nature of mathematics as a school subject included a lack of understanding of mathematical concepts, students' difficulty with mathematical symbols and notations, and struggles with word problems. Challenges specific to CR assessments included students' difficulties arising from the testing conditions unlike those of multiple-choice items, and included issues related to constructing appropriate responses and psychological barriers. To address these challenges in CR assessments, the study conducted guided writing activities as an intervention, through which six themes were identified: (1) internalization of mathematical concepts, (2) mathematical thinking through relational understanding, (3) diverse problem-solving methods, (4) use of mathematical symbols, (5) reflective thinking, and (6) strategies to overcome psychological barriers.
