An Analytical Study on Performance Factors of Automatic Classification based on Machine Learning (기계학습에 기초한 자동분류의 성능 요소에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the factors affecting the performance of automatic classification for the domestic conference papers based on machine learning techniques. In particular, In view of the classification performance that assigning automatically the class labels to the papers in Proceedings of the Conference of Korean Society for Information Management using Rocchio algorithm, I investigated the characteristics of the key factors (classifier formation methods, training set size, weighting schemes, label assigning methods) through the diversified experiments. Consequently, It is more effective that apply proper parameters (${\beta}$, ${\lambda}$) and training set size (more than 5 years) according to the classification environments and properties of the document set. and If the performance is equivalent, I discovered that the use of the more simple methods (single weighting schemes) is very efficient. Also, because the classification of domestic papers is corresponding with multi-label classification which assigning more than one label to an article, it is necessary to develop the optimum classification model based on the characteristics of the key factors in consideration of this environment.

Ontology Construction of Technological Knowledge for R&D Trend Analysis (연구 개발 트렌드 분석을 위한 기술 지식 온톨로지 구축)

  • Researchers and scientists spend huge amount of time in analyzing the previous studies and their results. In order to timely take the advantageous position, they usually analyze various resources such as paper, patents, and Web documents on recent research issues to preoccupy newly emerging technologies. However, it is difficult to select invest-worthy research fields out of huge corpus by using the traditional information search based on keywords and bibliographic information. In this paper, we propose a method for efficient creation, storage, and utilization of semantically relevant information among technologies, products and research agents extracted from 'big data' by using text mining. In order to implement the proposed method, we designed an ontology that creates technological knowledge for semantic web environment based on the relationships extracted by text mining techniques. The ontology was utilized for InSciTe Adaptive, a R&D trends analysis and forecast service which supports the search for the relevant technological knowledge.

Knowledge Trend Analysis of Uncertainty in Biomedical Scientific Literature (생의학 학술 문헌의 불확실성 기반 지식 동향 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Uncertainty means incomplete stages of knowledge of propositions due to the lack of consensus of information and existing knowledge. As the amount of academic literature increases exponentially over time, new knowledge is discovered as research develops. Although the flow of time may be an important factor to identify patterns of uncertainty in scientific knowledge, existing studies have only identified the nature of uncertainty based on the frequency in a particular discipline, and they did not take into consideration of the flow of time. Therefore, in this study, we identify and analyze the uncertainty words that indicate uncertainty in the scientific literature and investigate the stream of knowledge. We examine the pattern of biomedical knowledge such as representative entity pairs, predicate types, and entities over time. We also perform the significance testing using linear regression analysis. Seven pairs out of 17 entity pairs show the significant decrease pattern statistically and all 10 representative predicates decrease significantly over time. We analyze the relative importance of representative entities by year and identify entities that display a significant rising and falling pattern.

  • 최근 국가균형발전을 위한 문화콘텐츠산업의 비중은 날로 커지고 있으며 디지털 컨버젼스의 중심으로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 시대적, 사회적 요구에 즈음하여 정부의 지역문화 콘텐츠 육성 의지에 부합하는 전통건축물의 e-Learning을 위한 웹 기반 저작도구의 구현방법을 제안하고자 한다. 지금까지의 전통건축의 복원 및 재현은 전통적인 전수방식에 의존하거나 다분히 현상적인 수준에 그치고 있어, 우리 문화에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 전통건축물에 대한 저변의 확대와 보편적이고 대중적인 이해를 돕기에는 한계가 존재하는 것이 사실이다. 또한 전통건축에 관련한 교육자료는 대부분 고서(古書)나 텍스트에 의존하고 있는 것이 현실인 점을 감안할 때, 시각적이고 인터랙티브한 e-Learning 시스템의 연구는 필수적이라 할 것이다. 연구의 범위로서는 한국문화콘텐츠진흥원의 진행 중 사업인 문화원형복원사업인 "조선시대 탐라순력도의 디지털콘텐츠 개발"의 내용을 토대로 하며, 조선 중기인 17세기 제주도의 주심포계 전통건축을 대상으로 하고 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 1) 17세기 중엽 제주도의 주심포계 전통건축물에 대한 가구구조의 형성관계 및 그 형상을 디지털화하기 위한 데이터 체계를 제안하고, 2) 이에 따른 웹 기반의 가상전시 및 e-Learning 콘텐츠를 위한 시스템 구축의 프로토타입을 제시하며, 3) 상기 제시한 데이터 체계에 근거한 사용자 중심의 전통건축물 재현을 위한 3차원 저작환경 및 그 인터페이스를 제시한다. 이 결과로 전통건축물의 형성원리를 이해하고 전통 양식에 근거한 창의적 저작이 가능한 환경을 제시함으로써 멀티미디어 저작물 및 디자인 협업, 전통건축 유지보수 분야 등에 파급효과를 기대할 수 있다. 더불어 제안된 내용에 근거한 향후 연구로 전통건축물에 대한 일관되고 통합적인 관리방안과 그 실현수단에 대한 논의를 비롯하여 전통문화를 소재로 한 디지털 콘텐츠의 활용방안 및 그 부가가치에 대한 논의가 병행되어야 할 것이다.

A Study on the Research Trends for Smart City using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 스마트시티 연구동향 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze the research trends on Smart City and to present implications to policy maker, industry professional, and researcher. Cities around globe have undergone the rapid progress in urbanization and the consequent dramatic increase in urban dwellings over the past few decades, and faced many urban problems in such areas as transportation, environment and housing. Cities around the globe are in a hurry to introduce Smart City to pursue a common goal of solving these urban problems and improving the quality of their lives. However, various conceptual approaches to smart city are causing uncertainty in setting policy goals and establishing direction for implementation. The study collected 11,527 papers titled "Smart City(cities)" from the Scopus DB and Springer DB, and then analyze research status, topic, trends based on abstracts and publication date(year) information using the LDA based Topic Modeling approaches. Research topics are classified into three categories(Services, Technologies, and User Perspective) and eight regarding topics. Out of eight topics, citizen-driven innovation is the most frequently referred. Additional topic network analysis reveals that data and privacy/security are the most prevailing topics affecting others. This study is expected to helps understand the trends of Smart City researches and predict the future researches.

Tangible Game Console: Physical Entertainment Media Using I/O Coupling Units (텐저블 게임 콘솔: 입출력 일체화 개체를 이용한 물리적 엔터테인먼트 미디어에 대한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털 콘텐츠와 물리적 미디어가 유기적으로 결합할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하고자, 입출력 일체화 개체인 'I/O 셀(Cell)'과 그 집합체인 '텐저블 게임 콘솔(Tangible Game Console)'을 개발하였다. I/O 셀은 여러 종류의 센서와 액츄에이터가 하나의 물리적 노드 내에 통합되어 있는 개체로, 이 I/O 셀 다수를 집적하면 다양한 크기와 용도의 엔터테인먼트 미디어를 구성하는 것이 가능하다. 그 중 하나로 개발된 텐저블 게임 콘솔은 일종의 센서-액츄에이터 집합체로 셀들 사이의 연계를 통해 다양한 물리적 정보를 인식하고 표현할 수 있다. 텐저블 게임 콘솔은 기존 게임 콘텐츠의 주요한 표현 수단이었던 이미지와 텍스트 정보 대신에 물리적 정보를 통해 게임 콘텐츠를 구성하며, 조작대상과 조작수단이 일체화되어 있고, 또한 음악, 퍼즐, 액션 등 다양한 장르의 게임 콘텐츠가 적용 가능하다는 특징을 가지고 있다. 텐저블 게임 콘솔에서는 불, 바람, 물, 생명체 등의 물리적 현상을 형상/움직임/소리/빛 등을 통해 재현하며, 사용자는 이를 때리기/바람불기/흔들기/기울이기 등의 직접적인 조작을 통해 체험할 수 있다. 또한 물리적인 상호작용 과정이 일정한 게임 규칙을 가지고 구성되어 있어 지속성 있는 놀이 경험을 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 텐저블 게임 콘솔의 콘텐츠로 음악, 액션, 대전게임 등을 개발하였으며, 이 콘텐츠들의 놀이경험을 평가함으로써, 텐저블 게임 콘솔의 발전 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • Digital media technology has power of influence as extended in not only science and technology but also our society and culture. These phenomenon is explained as 'digital convergence'. Edmond Couchot argue the term 'hybridization'. Yvonne Spielmann and Jay David Bolter also argue that digital hybrid artworks across and integrates a diverse range of modes of representation, such as image, text, sound, space and bodily modes of expression. They must also address communicative interaction in the convergence of real and virtual spaces. In this paper, I noticed mixed reality environment which is seen as the form of hybrid between real and virtual object. And I discuss about this phenomenon as the study of interdisciplinary between art and science.

A Study on the Analysis of Intellectual Structure of Korean Veterinary Sciences (국내 수의과학 분야의 지적 구조 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to see the intellectual structure in the field of veterinary sciences in Korea, using author profiling analysis(APA), a bibliometric approach. Three journals are selected on the basis of citation data, exchanging most citations with Korean Journal of Veterinary. And then, 50 authors who published most articles at selected journals during the given period of time were chosen. The analysis of similarity and dissimilarity among authors by comparing co-word appearance patterns from article title, abstracts, and keywords was made. Authors can be grouped 11 minor clusters under 4 major clusters, depending on their interests in the area of veterinary sciences in Korea. The subjects for each cluster at the veterinary sciences are decided by the matching the keyword, representing author's research interest. As a result, it is possible to figure out the current research trends and the researcher network in the field of veterinary sciences.

Study on the Academic Discussion about Animation Authorship (애니메이션 작가주의에 대한 학술담론 연구)

  • There has been discussed very little about animation authorship studies, especially the themes of authors and their original animation texts since 1990s. This study is to explore the academic discourse of animation authorship studies understanding the media aesthetics of animation and the scholarly approach of animation studies about authorship. This article examines 55 articles via meta analysis about animation authorship studies drawn from the 1,516 articles on the general animation studies. The results were as follows. First, the domestic animation studies on the authorship were made about animators of Japan, US, and european countries. Second, It was dominant that scholarly interest on the screen direction and visual expression of animation texts. This shows the authorship approaches were mainly about visual aspects of animations. The domestic animation authorship studies did not trace the authorship issues on author's world view and visual style revealed in the corpus of texts. Instead, they discussed authorship issues on the characteristics of individual animation text. It has been evident that animation studies were not enthusiastic about building the independent theory on animation. Therefore, animation studies have tried theorizing the animation issues borrowing the literature and film theories. This study can contribute to increase phase of animation studies by drawing the intensive discussion of animation authors and their authorship.

A Study on the Privacy Awareness through Bigdata Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 통한 프라이버시 인식에 관한 연구)

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the development of information technology brought various benefits, but it also increased social interest in privacy issues. As the possibility of personal privacy violation by big data increases, academic discussion about privacy management has begun to be active. While the traditional view of privacy has been defined at various levels as the basic human rights, most of the recent research trends are mainly concerned only with the information privacy of online privacy protection. This limited discussion can distort the theoretical concept and the actual perception, making the academic and social consensus of the concept of privacy more difficult. In this study, we analyze the privacy concept that is exposed on the internet based on 12,000 news data of the portal site for the past one year and compare the difference between the theoretical concept and the socially accepted concept. This empirical approach is expected to provide an understanding of the changing concept of privacy and a research direction for the conceptualization of privacy for current situations.
