Studies on Evaluation for Long-term Loading of Composite Wood-joint and Characteristics of Joint Strength (I) - The strength properties of mechanical joints of Pinus densiflora with drift pin and bolt - (목재 접합부의 강도특성 및 장기 내력 평가 (I) - 소나무재의 Bo1t 및 Drift pin 접합부 능력(耐力) 성능 평가 -)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the strength and stiffness of drift pinned and bolted joints with steel-plates by the tension-type lateral strength tests. Specimens were solid wood of Pinus densiflora. Bolt and drift pin were jointed with inserted steel plates. Tests were conducted with combinations of two loading directions (parallel to the grain : 0 degree, perpendicular to the grain : 90 degree) and three diameters of fasteners (d = 6 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm). The results obtained were as follow: 1. In the test of the parallel to the grain, maximum loads were increased with increasing of the diameter of bolt and drift pin in the same end distance. In the test of perpendicular to the grain with diameter 10 mm and 12 mm, specimens mostly were failed with horizontal splits in woods reaching the yield load of drift pinned and bolted joints. 2. The ratio of maximum load to the yield load determined by the so-called "5% offset method", was great in bolted joints in the parallel to the grain This trend become more remarkable as the slenderness ratio was increased. 3. The calculated yield strength was agreed well with the experimental results of drift pinned joint(0 degree).

  • 본 논문은 마찰력을 측정하는 시스템에 동특성 변화를 주어서, 이에 의해 발생하는 마찰현상의 변화와 수직하중의 변동특성에 관하여 측정을 하였으며, 미끄럼속도 및 하중조건 변화와 미끄럼운동을 하는 두물체 재료조합 변화에 따른 상기의 마찰특성변화에 관하여 실험적 및 이론적 고찰을 행하였다. 시스템의 동특성 변화를 주기 위하여 시스템의 강성(Stiffness)의 변화를 주었고, 또한 수직 하중 부과 방법을 Dead weight를 이용한 방법과 공압(Pneumatic)에 의한 방법을 비교함으로써 관성력 및 감쇠(Damping) 특성에 변화를 주었다. 시험 대상의 물체들은 강(Steel) 및 폴리머류의 Rosin과 PTFE를 선정하여, 재료변화에 따른 마찰특성 변화를 유도하였다.

  • 지진이나 충돌 등과 같은 동적 하중은 하중 속도에 따라 재료의 파괴 거동이 변하기 때문에 하중 속도는 하중의 위치나 크기와 더불어 재료의 파괴 거동을 결정짓는 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 특히 콘크리트와 같은 취성재료의 경우 재료의 속도 의존적 거동에 의해 가해진 하중으로부터 발생된 균열의 형상이나 진행 형태가 변하므로 전체 구조물의 거동에도 큰 영향을 끼친다. 따라서 취성재료를 이용한 속도 의존적 파괴 거동에 관한 연구는 그 중요성에 의해 다양한 방법으로 진행되어져 왔으나, 해석을 통한 빠른 하중에서의 파괴 거동 해석은 대부분 무시되어왔다. 하지만 최근 폭발과 같은 매우 빠른 하중에서의 재료의 파괴 거동 대한 관심이 증대되고 있고, 그에 관한 연구의 필요성도 점차 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 irregular lattice model의 하나인 rigid-body-spring networks(RBSN)를 이용하여 취성 재료의 파괴 거동해석에 적합한 수치 해석 모델을 개발하였다. 동적 해석을 위해 각 요소에 질량을 부여하고, 각 요소의 거동은 시간 적분에 의하여 계산된다. 이를 이용하여 빠른 하중에서의 취성 재료의 파괴 거동 특성을 분석하고 기존 실험과의 비교를 통해 수치 해석 모델의 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • Studies on the fabrication of UAV by using 3D printer have been actively carried out. However, research on structural load characteristics in low temperature environment is insufficient. In this study, a composite sandwich structure with ordinary orbs structure was proposed, and the load characteristics for temperature condition changes were analyzed. The ordinary orbs and honeycomb structures were fabricated by using a FDM type 3D printer. The bending load test was carried out at room temperature and low temperature condition. The low temperature condition was classified into four cases. Bending load tests were performed in a low temperature chamber to maintain the required temperature conditions. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the proposed ordinary orbs structure had better load characteristics at low temperatures than the existing honeycomb structure.

  • This paper focuses on the characteristics on long-term deflection and creep recovery of reinforced concrete beams under a sustained load of 25kN. In order to investigate the residual strengthen of the RC beam, a static flexural experiment was conducted. The result of the RC beam preloaded was compared with that of a RC beam, which was not preloaded.

  • It has been an always issue for the blasting or the impact analysis to consider the strength characteristics of the rock materials associate with loading rate dependency. Due to the nature of transient loading, the dynamic rock test requires a careful technique to achieve the stress equilibrium state of the specimen. In this study, to investigate the relationship between the rock dynamic strength and the stress equilibrium state, a series of dynamic uniaxial compression tests for Pocheon granite were performed. As a result, the unbalanced stress state on the specimen can lead to the premature failure on the specimen and the less estimation of dynamic strength characteristic as well as the overestimation of strain rate. Consequently, a careful consideration of rock fracture process to achieve the dynamic force balance on the specimen should be required to make an reasonable evaluation of rock dynamic strength.

  • As the geometrical characteristic of the curved bridge, the seismic response of curved bridges are different from straight bridges. This study analyzed the seismic response of the curved bridges considering diverse factors such as radius of curvature, direction of seismic load and support condition. The improved simple modeling of the curved bridge for seismic analysis is proposed, and it is compared with the detail modeling in order to verify the simple modeling. Three simply supported curved bridges and six 3-span continuous bridges are selected for seismic analysis. The behavior of curved bridges are evaluated in terms of the displacement and the force at supports and piers under seismic load applied in various directions. The results of this study show that upward reaction force may appear in simply supported curved bridge under seismic load. And continuous curved bridges are affected by the direction of the seismic load.

  • 확률이론을 이용한 구조물 신뢰성에 관한 연구가 최근 급속히 발달함과 동시에 구조물의 저하능력과 작용하중들의 확률적 특성들에 대한 인식이 제고됨에 따라 여러나라에서 확률이론에 근거한 설계규준이 개발되고 있다. 작용하중이나 구조저항력의 확률적 특성을 보이고 있기 때문에 외국의 설계규준을 직접 도입하는 것은 여러 가지 문제점이 있으며, 따라서 국내현실에 적합한 설계규준에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 국내 철근콘크리트 구조물의 합리적인 설계규준을 제시하기 위하여 국내에서 수집\ulcorner분석된 구조부재강도 및 작용하중의 확률적 모형을 이용하여 현행 설계규준에 내포된 신뢰도를 검정하고 나아가 최적하중계수를 분석하였다.

  • The vertical pressure due to soil prism load and surface surcharge load acts on buried pipe, and occasionally uplifting force due to earthquake or differential settlement acts on it. In this paper, study was performed to estimate the pressure acting on the buried pipe due to soil prism load through analyzing Marston-Spangler theory by new method. And loading tests on the buried flexible pipe were performed to study on the response of the pipe due to surface surcharge load. Also, through the estimation of uplifting resistance theory and uplifting test for buried pipe, the method to determine the maximum uplifting resistance of buried pipe was proposed.
