본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크 상에서 노드들 간의 연결성만을 이용하여 노드의 위치를 추정하는 분산 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘들은 기본적으로 공통 인접 노드의 개수를 이용하여 인접한 두 노드간의 거리를 추정하는 기법에 기반하고 있다. 제안된 알고리즘들의 위치 추정 성능을 모의실험을 통하여 분석 비교하였다.

Refeeding syndrome is a life-threatening but treatable condition occurring in any patients with starvation. Electrolyte imbalance, especially hypophosphatemia and fluid shift result in metabolic changes in various systems. The authors reported a case of refeeding syndrome associated with prolonged starvation due to delusion and hallucination in a 38-year-old schizophrenia patient. Hypophosphatemia, hypokalemia, edema and elevation of liver enzyme was occurred despite careful treatment. The symptoms were improved after consistent electrolyte supplement. Close observation and repetitive monitoring are important to prevent refeeding syndrome.

DC Motors have been widely used in industry as driving power motors for electrical vehicles cranes and winches due to their strong starting torques and as servo-motors for position and speed control systems due to their convenience of speed control etc. Generally in the speed control systems of motors speed sensors are required and this fact results in he increased price and operating cost and in the limitted applications. This paper presents a new speed control method for sensorless DC motors. In this scheme the speed signal is estimatd by the measurement values of the armature voltage and current. A Fuzzy feedback controller instead of the conventional PID controller. Through simulations the effectiveness and usefullness of the proposed method are illustrated.

A tracking controller which can improve the performance of nonlinear electrohydraulic position control systems is designed and implemented. The method is based on augmenting the system with both compensated integrator and additional integrator, obtaining the feedback control law which stabilizes the linear part of the original nonlinear system, and then readjusting the feedback gains using the describing function method to eliminate the limit cycle in the steady-state. The proposed control law is implemented using OP amplifiers and electronic components, and step and ramp response tests are carried out in the electrohydraulic servomechanism EHS-160. The results show the improvement in both transient and steady-state responses.

EPCglobal TDT은 RFID 태그 데이타의 레벨(포맷)과 이들 간의 상호 변환에 대한 표준을 제시하고 있다. 이것은 태그 데이타 변환이라고 하며 이백 가지가 넘는 조합이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 태그 데이타 변환 프로그램을 개발함에 있어 TDT XML 명세로부터 소스 코드를 자동으로 생성하기 위한 코드 생성기를 제안한다. 코드 생성기를 이용하면 변환 코드를 간단하게 작성할 수 있으며 추후 TDT 명세가 변경되더라도 유지 보수를 신속하게 할 수 있다.

SOI(Silicon-On-Insulator) technology is proposed as an alternative to bulk silicon for MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) manufacturing. In this paper, we fabricated the SOI wafer with uniform active layer thickness by silicon direct bonding and mechanical polishing processes. Specially-designed electrostatic bonding system is introduced which is available for vacuum packaging and silicon-glass wafer bonding for SOG(Silicon On Glass) wafer. We demonstrated thermopile sensor and RF resonator using the SOI wafer, which has the merits of simple process and uniform membrane fabrication.

Mobile devices compared with personal computers on the desktop have low bandwidths, small screens, and relatively slow speeds. These systems have practical problems with information searches in a web environment. Information searching of various web contents on the small size screen has especially severe limitations. We propose a filtering technique of web contents which can overcome the limitations of small size screens and meet the user requirements in a PDA environment. For these constructions, we first divide the screen into segment blocks and then extract content blocks according to the user requirements, so that only filtered web contents will be shown. The performance evaluation of the proposed technique saves an average time of about 30% by displaying only the extracted information instead of the whole web page.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology is a necessary function to support location based on service by using GPS in the mobile environment. These mobile systems have basic functional limitations such as a low rate of processing, limited memory capacity, and small screen size. Because of these limitations, most of the mobile systems require development of a reduced digital map to overcome problems with large-volume spatial data. In this paper, we suggest using the reduced digital map format in order to use location based on service in a PDA environment. The processing of the proposed data format consists of map generation, redefinition of layers, creating polygons, and format conversion. The proposed data format reduces the data size by about 98% comparing with DXF format based on the digital map of Busan.

As it is well-known, in recent years the Kalman filter has been extensively used in the engineering field. The authors tried to apply the extended Kalman filter for optimal estimation of ship's positiion which is fixed by simultaneous visual (or radio) bearings to two known locations. In practical piloting, bearings are generally measured intermittently, so in this case the original Kalman filter can not be applied because of the long sampling time. In this paper, the extended Kalman filter is revised in order to be used in such an unfavorable case, adn the Digital simulation is conducted by using the revised extended Kalman filter under various noise conditiions. Good results have been obtaiend and effectiveness of the proposed filter has been confirmed.

The speed characteristics of the diesel engines driving alternators are very important because it is directly concerned to the quality of electric power especially when electric power is supplied by a single alternator. In this paper, the speed characteristics of th diesel engine, equipped with a centrifugal mechanical governor, driving an alternator is dealt when load changes stepwise. The all coefficients included in the block diagram of the speed control system are estimated by actual experiments and the effects of gain change of the governor in the speed characteristics are examined theoretically and experimentally. The obtained result seems to be satisfactory and very useful for the improvement of quality of electric power supplied by a single alternator driven by the diesel engine especially for electric power system of ships.
