Web-Based Intelligent Learning System for Korean Language (웹에 기반한 국어 작문 학습시스템 구현)

  • 최근 인터넷을 통한 언어 교육 연구에 관심이 고조되면서 다양한 언어 학습 홈페이지가 등장하였다. 이 논문은 국어 작문 학습을 목표로 본 연구실에서 개발한 '바른 우리글 쓰기' 학습시스템에 대해 다룬다. 본 학습 시스템은 초보자에서 전문가에 이르는 학습자를 대상으로 우리말로 글을 쓸 때 필요한 우리말 지식을 체계적으로 학습하도록 하거나 학습자가 직접 쓴 문장에서 스스로 오류를 찾아 분석하고 그에 따른 설명 및 글쓰기 규칙을 더 상세하게 알 수 있도록 설계하였다. 학습시스템의 내부 구조를 효율적으로 구성하기 위해 우리말 글과 관련 있는 자료를 수집하여 각각 지식베이스화하고, 학습 내용을 서로 체계적으로 연결하기 위해 우리나라 사람이 자주 틀리는 오류를 중심으로 해당 글쓰기 규칙과 참고 자료와 용례를 하이퍼텍스트화하였다. 이 시스템은 특히 학습 모형에 따라 학습 자료를 재구성할 수 있도록 지식베이스와 모형을 독립하였다. 이와 같이 학습 자료를 풍부하게 준비하고 학습 내용을 구성하는 일 만큼이나 중요한 과제는 학습자의 수준에 맞춰 학습 줄거리를 구성하는 작업이다. 이 시스템에서도 학습자의 특성을 살릴 수 있도록 연역적 학습 모형과 귀납적 학습 모형을 시도하였지만 더 세분화된 학습 줄거리 구성에 대한 연구가 있어야 한다. 따라서 학습자의 학습 동기를 유발할 수 있는 학습 내용과 적절한 기술이 조화를 이룬 홈페이지를 만드는 일이 향후 우리가 지향할 연구 과제이다.

A Study on Extracting News Contents from News Web Pages (뉴스 웹 페이지에서 기사 본문 추출에 관한 연구)

  • The news pages provided through the web contain unnecessary information. This causes low performance and inefficiency of the news processing system. In this study, news content extraction methods, which are based on sentence identification and block-level tags news web pages, was suggested. To obtain optimal performance, combinations of these methods were applied. The results showed good performance when using an extraction method which applied the sentence identification and eliminated hyperlink text from web pages. Moreover, this method showed better results when combined with the extraction method which used block-level. Extraction methods, which used sentence identification, were effective for raising the extraction recall ratio.

  • We call WBI the educational program of this new teaching method which uses the web system. The instruction in WBI settings can make students feel more excited and interested in learning activities because it combined various sorts of multimedia materials such as moving pictures, graphics, and sound.. The diverse learning contents of this program not only supplement student's needs but also stimulate their creativities and application abilities. Based on the internet web courseware, this paper attempts to suggest the new program. This design implements the text, image and sound by using Explorer 5.0 in HTML, Javascript, Photoshop 5.0, Flash 4.0, and finally Gif Construction.

  • In 21 century, we entered the multiculture society. Multi cultural society became a trend. It is known that 65.5 percents of Koreans find difficuty in using foreign languages. The need for intellignet and machine translation is increasing rapidly. This paper suggests a translation system which is mainly using in MICE industry. There are many applications provide translation, however, using multuple translayion appication is rare. We provide untact service which can import many application tools to provide a better service.

  • Web provides a rich learning environment for learners mainly due to the hypertext technology and the high interactivity. It provides a learner-centered learning environment. In this environment, students are to develop their own paths in non-sequential and flexible ways according to their needs and their demands. However, in many cases students who use this environment are easily exposed to difficulties in their choices of learning paths, disorientation, and cognitive overload in the cyberspace. Consequently, they have trouble in maintaining their motivation and interest in their learning. This study presents the design and the use of 3D-based space navigation system in order to maintain student's interest in educational web contents.

  • The purpose of the study was to explore the conceptual and theoretical fundamentals of learning object. Learning object, a new paradigm for instructional design in the era of information technology, has attracted much research efforts since it has lots of advantages in terms of production efficiency and use effectiveness. A theory for the systematic design of this new instructional design, however, looks far from mature. Since the birth of the idea of a learning object has been found in the field of computer software design, such as object-oriented software development, learning object does not have enough theoretical underpinnings in terms of learning and instruction. The researcher tried to establish theoretical foundations for this new, alien concept as a learning design theory. Relevant research efforts and discourses have been discussed for this purpose.

  • In this paper, we have studied the technical contribution of internet as a computer mediated communication(CMC) tool for collection management. A new communication process is appearing due to the development of information technology and telecommunications technology which enable users to have an access to information without the help of librarian. Also, internet makes collection management possible in the absence of vendors. This study found out that internet reinforces the traditional functions of collection management and enables librarians to better perform their roles. The future library manager should become actively involved in the development of technology in order to manage resources of internet focusing on the needs of user. Also, we have concluded that collection management should be modernized and transformed with its emphasis on the new evaluation method and assessment of quality when offering resources of internet in the communication process using computers.

  • HTML is unstructured document because of using restricted tag. HTML is difficult to extract data from HTML document. But XML is able to use user definition tag, that is easy to store information. Also XML is easy to extract data from XML document. This is the reason why XML is a standard for data exchange format on the Internet, so XML is fitted to exchange data between heterogeneous DBMSs(DataBase Management System). In this paper, we designed and implemented of XML web agent for data replication between heterogeneous DBMSs. A XML web agent system controls data of DBMS, and generates a XML document from data of DBMS. Also XML web agent is data exchange or replication between heterogeneous DBMS by the medium of XML.

  • This paper proposes a methodology for effectively analyzing a lot of design information written from various design viewpoints in an integrated s/w development environment. It provides a way of extracting the inherent role of the design contents, as well as easily accessing and understanding the other related ones on the web. For this aim, it defines a series of methods 1) to correctly capture relationships between the contents and the other related ones, 2) to translate them into a web object equipped with hypertext links corresponding the relationships, and to navigate all the related contents with the links. The suggested methodology have three advantages. First, it supplies ways to analyze new design contents invented from different points of view. Second, it can help user to easily access the related contents using hypertext links over WWW. Third, it provides an environment capable of effectively sharing and accessing design contents distributed on remote sites, thanks to the platform-independent property of the web.

The Time-Space Dimensions and Geometrical Spaces of Electronic Media Technologies (전자 미디어 기술의 시공간 차원과 기하 공간)

  • This paper reviews how electronic media technologies involve and produce time-space dimensions in geometrical spaces, focusing on four theoretical perspectives: van Dijk's dual structure of networks as scale extension and reduction; Latour's actor-networks as fluid and hybrid networks; Virilio's dromospherical time as global media vectors; and Castells' timeless time as non-sequential flows. In these four theoretical perspectives, we can see that electronic media technologies involve different and multiple time-space dimensions in geometrical media spaces: from the two-dimensional spaces (surfaces) of concentric circles, through the one-dimensional spaces (lines) of actor-networks to the zero-dimensional spaces (points) of dromospherical time and finally to the multi-dimensional spaces (hypertexts) of timeless time. The paper concludes by suggesting that we need to explain electronic media spaces not only in terms of geometrical media spaces but also in terms of geographical media spaces in order to understand the ways in which electronic media spaces are dis/embedded in geographical spaces.
