  • 뉴질랜드산(産) 라디아타소나무의 수간(樹幹) 및 지재(枝材)에 발달(發達)되어 있는 압축이상재(壓縮異常材), 대응재(對應材) 및 측면재(側面材)의 해부학적(解剖學的) 특성(特性)을 광학현미경(光學顯微鏡), 주사전자현미경(走射電子顯微鏡) 그리고 투과전자현미경(透過電子顯微鏡)을 이용하여 조직학적(組織學的) 및 구성요소(構成要素)의 수량적(數量的) 측면(側面)에서 비교(比較), 검토(檢討) 하였다. 조직학적(組織學的)인 면(面)에서 볼 때 춘재(春材)로부터 추재(秋材)로의 가도관(假導管) 이행(移行)은 대응재(對應材)나 측면재(側面材)보다 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 훨씬 더 점진적(漸進的)이었다. 편심생장(偏心生長)으로 인해 연륜폭(年輪幅)은 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 가장 컸고 그 다음이 측면재(側面材) 및 대응재(對應材)의 순이었으며 추재솔(秋材率) 역시 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 대응재(對應材) 및 측면재(側面材)보다 컸다. 횡단면상(橫斷面上) 가도관(假導管) 형상면(形狀面)에서 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 원형(圓形)을 나타내는 반면 대응재(對應材)와 측면재(側面材)는 각형(角形)을 띠고 있었다. 또한 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)에서만 가도관(假導管)의 세포벽(細胞壁)에 나선강(螺旋腔)과 나선열(螺旋裂) (helical cavity and check), 슬릿(slit)형(形) 벽공구(壁孔口)가 존재(存在)하였으나 $S_3$층(層)이 결여(缺如)되어 있었으며 굴곡(屈曲)된 선단(先端)과 불규칙(不規則)한 형상(形狀)의 가도관(假導管) 및 세포간극(細胞間隙)이 자주 관찰(觀察)되었다. 직교분야(直交分野) 벽공(壁孔)은 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 가문비나무형(型) 그리고 대응재(對應材) 및 측면재(側面材)는 소나무형(型) 벽공(壁孔)을 나타냈다. 수량적(數量的) 특성(特性) 면에서 볼 때 가도관(假導管)의 길이는 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 가장 짧고 측면재(側面材)가 가장 길었으며 가도관(假導管)의 벽(壁) 두께는 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)가 대응재(對應材)나 측면재(側面材)보다 두꺼웠다. 수직수지구(垂直樹脂溝)는 대응재(對應材)가 그리고 수평수지구(水平樹脂溝)(방추형(紡錐形) 방사조직(放射祖織))는 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)의 쪽이 많았다. 결론적(結論的)으로 보면 라디아타소나무의 압축이상재(壓縮異常材)는 근본적으로 대응재(對應材)나 측면재(側面材)와는 상이(相異)한 특성(特性)을 지녔으나 대응재(對應材)와 측면재(側面材)는 거의 유사(類似)한 특성(特性)을 공유(共有)하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Spatial Variation Analysis of Soil Characteristics and Crop Growth accross the Land-partitioned Boundary I. Spatial Variation of Soil Physical Properties (구획경계선(區劃境界線)의 횡단면(橫斷面)에 따른 토양특성(土壤特性)과 작물생육(作物生育)에 관한 공간변이성(空間變異性) 분석(分析) 연구(硏究) I. 토양물리성(土壤物理性)의 공간변이성(空間變異性))

  • In order to study spatial variability of soil physical properties accross the land-partitioned boundary on Hwadong silt clay loam soil (Fine clayey, mixed, mesic family of Aquic Hapludalfs), all measured data were analyzed by means of kriging, fractile diagram, smooth frequency distribution, and autocorrelation. Sampling for soil particle size distribution analysis was made at 225 intersections of $15{\times}15$ grid with 10m interval. Field capacity, bulk density and saturated hydraulic conductivity were measured in situ at 594 intersections of $33{\times}18$ grid with 2.5m interval in only $6,000m^2$ reselected from $22,500m^2$ of sampling area for particle size distribution analysis. Sampled or measured soil depths were 0 to 10cm 25 to 35cm and 50 to 60cm at each intersections. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The coefficient of variance (CV) of various physical properties ranges from 4.8 to 128.8%. Saturated hydraulic conductivity is classified into the high variation group with CV greater than 100%, while the low variation group with CV smaller than 10% consists of bulk density. Other properties belong to the medium variation group with CV between 10 and 100%. 2. The appropriate number of soil samples for the determination of various physical properties with error smaller than 10% are calculated as one for bulk density, six for field moisture capacity, 16 for silt, 19 for clay, 69 for sand and 686 for saturated hydraulic conductivity. 3. Smooth frequency distribution and fractile diagram show that saturated hydraulic conductivity is in lognormal distribution while other physical properties are in normal distribution. 4. Serial correlation analysis reveals that the soil physical properties have spatial dependence between two nearest neighbouring grid points. Autocorrelation analysis of physical properties measured between the serial grid points in the direction of south to north following section boundary shows that the zone of influence showing stationarity ranges from 7.5 to 40m. In the direction of east to west across section boundary, the autocorrelogram of many physical properties shows peaks with the periodic interval of 30m, which are similar to the partitioned land width. This reveals that the land-partitioned boundary causes soil variability.

  • In order to study spatial variability of soil chemical properties across the land-partitioned boundary on Hwadong silt clay loam soil (Fine clayey, mixed, mesic family of Aquic Hapludalfs) in the experimental fie ld of the wheat and Barley Research Institute in Suwon, all measured data were analyzed by means of kriging, fractile diagram, smooth frequency distribution, and autocorrelation. Sampling for soil chemical property analysis was made at 225 intersections of 15x 15 grid with 10m interval from three soil depths (0-10cm, 25-35cm, 50-60cm) in the seven patitioned fields. 1. The coefficient of variance (CV) of various chemical properties varied from 5.4 to 72.7%. Soil pH was classified into the low variation group with CV smaller than 10%, while the other chemical properties belonged to the medium variation group with C.V. between 10 and 100% 2. The approximate number of soil samples for the determination of various chemical properties with error smaller than 10% were two for pH, ten for CEC, 15 for exchangeable Ca, 32 for total nitrogen content, 39 for exchangeable Mg, 40 for exchangeable K, 61 for exchangeable Na, 82 for organic matter content, 212 for available phosphate,. 3. Smooth frequency distribution and fractile diagram showed that available phosphate was in log-normal distribution while others were in normal distribution. 4. Serial correlation analysis revaled that the soil chemical properties had spatial dependence between two nearest neighbouring grid points.   • This study examines that pricing multiple on and incremental explanatory power of equity book value(earnings) increase(decrease) as financial health decrease. Test using a sample of 75 bankrupt firms and test using a cross-sectional, pooled sample both yield inference consistent with predictions. It is thus hypothesized that the more bankrupt time are, the higher(lower) pricing multiple book value of equity(earnings) obtained. Findings are robust to inclusion of controls for debt/assets ratio, ROA, and ROIC. Overall, the results is the hypothesis.

  • Maintainability of highways is an important problem that is considered in the planning steps of a highway development process. A number of asset management systems have been developed to precisely predict maintenance and pavement expenditures for better decision making, But these systems are not helpful in reducing maintenance costs. Optimization of some highway design characteristics in the planning phases may reduce maintenance costs over the life cycle of highway. The formulations for initial and maintenance costs have been developed based on which design variables can be chosen to minimize these costs, focusing on the sideslope in cut and fill sections. Maintenance cost has been represented as a function of sideslope, width of highway cross section, and annual average daily traffic. A real geographic database of between Chung joo and Sang joo city in Choong buk was used and it is presented to investigate the sensitivities of maintenance cost and soil characteristics in selecting alignments. In this study, we present that maintenance cost and soil characteristics are important considerations in alignment optimization.

Usefulness of Stomach Extension after Drinking Orange Juice in PET/CT Whole Body Scan (PET/CT 전신 영상에서 오렌지 주스(Orange Juice)를 이용한 위장 확장 영상의 유용성)

  • Purpose: The PET/CT has a clear distinction on the lesion of the functional image by adding anatomical information. It also could reduce the examination time using CT data as the attenuation-correction. When the stomach was contracted from a fast, it could bring a misinterpretation of the cancer of the lesion with a presence of physiological $^{18}F$-FDG uptake in stomach and it occasionally would bring an additional scan to confirm. To complement this shortcoming, the method that the patients had water before the examination to extend the stomach had been attempted. However, a short excretion time of the stomach did not give sufficiently extended image of the stomach. Then the patients had additional water and had the examination again. Therefore, the noticed fact is that the stomach excretion time depends on calories, protein content, and the level of carbohydrate. In this study, we use an orange juice to evaluate the extension of the stomach and usefulness of it. Materials and Methods: PET/CT scan were obtained on total 150 of patient from February 2008 to October2008, There were 3 groups in this study and each group had 50 patients. First group drank nothing, Second group drank water and third group drank orange juice. The patients (man 25, female 25) not drinking are the age of 30~71 years old (average: 54), the patients (man: 25, female: 25) drinking water (400 cc) are the age of 28~71 years old (average: 54) and the patients (man: 25, female: 25) drinking orange juice (400 cc) are the age of 32~74 years old (average: 56). The patients were fasted in 6-8 hours before the test, the patients were not diabetic. $^{18}F$-FDG 370~555 MBq were injected intravenously. The patients were in stable position for 1 hour, than the image was obtained. The patients drank water and other patients drank orange juice before Whole body scan. The image scan started from mid-femur to skull base. The emission scan acquired for three minutes per bed and the images were reconstructed. Stomach extension analysis is measured from vertical and horizontal length. Results: Stomach Extension was described as the vertical length of the Non Drink Group was $1.20{\pm}0.50\;cm$, horizontal length was $1.4{\pm}0.53\;cm$, the vertical length of the Water Drink Group was $1.67{\pm}0.63\;cm$, horizontal length was $1.65{\pm}0.77\;cm$, the vertical length of Orange juice Drink Group was $3.48{\pm}0.77\;cm$, horizontal length was $3.66{\pm}0.77\;cm$ in coronal image. Stomach Extension was described the vertical length of the Non Drink Group was $2.03{\pm}0.62\;cm$, horizontal length was $1.69{\pm}0.68\;cm$, the vertical length of Water Drink Group was $5.34{\pm}1.62\;cm$, horizontal length was $2.45{\pm}0.72\;cm$, the vertical length of Orange juice Drink Group was $7.74{\pm}1.62\;cm$, horizontal length was $3.57{\pm}0.77\;cm$ in transverse image. The Stomach Extension has specific differences (p<0.001). The SUVs shows the Non Drink Group were measured as Liver $2.52{\pm}0.42$, Lung $0.51{\pm}0.14$, the Water Drink Group were measured as Liver $2.47{\pm}0.38$, Lung $0.50{\pm}0.14$, Orange juice Drink Group were measured as Liver $2.47{\pm}0.38$, Lung $0.50{\pm}0.14$. The SUVs did not have specific differences (p>0.759). Conclusions: There was not a large difference of SUV in three groups. When the patients drank Orange juice and water, the range extension of stomach was higher than without drinking nothing and it was possible to acquire fully extended images. Therefore, it will be possible that unnecessary additional stomach scans will be reduced by drinking orange juice before the examination so that the patients' claim from uncomfortable and long period of fast will be minimized.

  • Geomorphological, bed material and hydraulic characteristics are basis informations for the planning, design and management of the river in the aspect of flood control and environmental conservation, and it is very important to use these informations for the design of stable channel. In this study, dominant discharge was selected, geomorphological and hydraulic characteristics were analyzed using that discharge and also the characteristics of bed materials distribution were analyzed and bed materials-flow resistance relationship was evaluated, for the upstream section of Namgang dam. The dominant discharge was estimated a return period of approximately 1.5 year and stream type were classified Segment 1 and Segment 2 in this stream. Also, the frequency of riffle-pool showed 4.4 because this study area has the characteristics of natural channel that have not channel-crossing structures. In dominant discharge, according to the results that analyzed relationship between $h/d_{50}$ and $V/u_*$ to calculate flow resistance by bed materials, Julian's formula showed to appropriate in channel where is relatively close to natural river and is predominantly consisted of gravel, cobble, boulder and rock in mountain, and it was confirmed that the image processing methodology will be easily applied to the analysis of bed materials distribution in future.

  • Used as an ingredient in the hospital for orthopedic prosthetic stainless and titanium metal the same size as on the MRI diagnostic value of imaging were compared. Center of images, background high band portion of the video signal is converted into a weighted intensity values Normal images and compared. The area of normal slice and also the distortion of images and cross-sectional imaging of a range of quantitative and sagittal planes were compared. As a result, the periphery high band signal intensity values of Stainless video phantom 2, pig bone 1.8, Titanium imaging of phantom 1.7 has higher value than Normal video pig bone 1.3 times the signal strength rivers. MRI distortion of the shape and the distortions of the range, if the cross-sectional area compared to Normal Slice Stainless case of phantom 65.8 %, pig bone 61.5 %, Titanium distortion phantom 23.1 %, pig bone 38.5 % of the range of community found. In this experiment, as a result, MRI was found to be Titanium more diagnostic value than the specimen with respect to the signal intensity weighted value and low distortion range, Stainless.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PALATAL MORPHOLOGY OF THE CHILDREN WITH CROSSBITE IN MIXED DENTITION BY 3-DIMENSIONAL LASER SCANNER (3차원 스캐너를 이용한 혼합치열기 반대교합아동의 구개형태에 관한 연구)

  • This study is performed to investigate the characteristics of the palatal morphology of the children with anterior crossbite in Hellman dental age IIIA by 3-dimensional laser scanner. Totally 40 study casts were taken; 20 were from children with crossbite and another 20 were from normal occlusion as a control. Each cast was scanned by 3 dimension laser scanner and shaped by the 3 dimension image by rapidform 2000 program(INUS, Korea). And finally it was calculated by Rhino 3D program(Rhinoceros, USA). The intercanine, intermolar cross-sectioned transverse plane and sagittal plane were measured. Due to the variations in palatal morphology, each group was standardized into 25mm, 35mm, 35mm. By sectioning standardized curves of the Palatal morphology per 1mm, the palatal depth of each point was calculated. Through these complex methods, the mean curves of the palatal morphology could be obtained and the values were statistically compared and evaluated by T-test with 95% of significance level. The results were as follows: 1. In the intercanine cross-sectioned transverse plane, the mean curve of palatal morphology of crossbite group was flatter V shape than that of control group, however, there was no statistical significance was found between two groups(P>0.05). 2. In the intermolar cross-sectioned transverse plane, the mean curve of palatal morphology of crossbite was deeper all over the area than that of control group, and the statistical significance was found in the middle area from point 8 to 21(P<0.05). 3. In the sagittal plane, the mean curve of palatal morphology of crossbite group was more deepening as approaching posteriorly than that of control group, and the statistical significance was found in all over the area(P<0.01).

  • Background: $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI(Methoxyisobutylisonitrile complex), a member of the isonitrile class of coordination compounds, is a lipophilic cation presently under investigation for clinical use as myocardial perfusion imaging agent and is widely used to detect myocardial infarction. Preliminary reports indicate that $T_1$-201 accumulate in human neoplasm and several authors reported $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI may also localized in primary malignant tumor and metastatic deposits from lung cancer. We evaluated the uptake of $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI in lung cancer and localization of mediastinal and other site metastasis, and compared the benign lesion of the lung. Method: Thirty four patients of lung cancer and ten patients of benign lung lesion were studied with chest CT and $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI Lung SPECT. $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI uptake ratio was assessed by TR/NL(Lung lesion/ Normal area), HT/NL (Heart/Normal area) and HT/TR(Heart/Lung lesion). Results: 1) All lung cancer patients showed increased uptakes of $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI in malignant lung lesion and Tc-99m MIBI uptake was also increased in mediastinal and lymph node metastasis except two cases. 2) There was significant different ratio of TR/NL between malignant and benign lesion, $3.79{\pm}1.82$ and $1.67{\pm}0.63$ on planar images, respectively(p<0.001). 3) There was no significant difference of $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI uptake ratio between squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma and adeno carcinoma($3.64{\pm}1.66$, $3.57{\pm}0.72$, $4.31{\pm}2.28$ respectively). Conclusion: $^{99m}Tc$ MIBI lung SPECT was useful in the localization of tumor and mediastinal or other site metastatic lesion in lung cancer and also in the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lesion.
