A Study on the Reception Sensitivity of the Optical Receiver with the Order Change of the Optical Filter in Optical Preamplifier System (광 전치 증폭시스템에서 광필터의 차수변화에 따른 광수신기의 수신감도에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the order of the Butterworth filter for the correlation on the sensitivity of the receiver in the receiver of an optical system. In the general case, the sensitivity of the receiver is increased if the order of the filter was increased more. This is because increasing the order of the filter response of the normalized frequency of the filter is similar to the rectangular wave. For that reason, the method used to increase the order of the filter increases the sensitivity of the receiver. On the other hand, a method of increasing the order of the filter and makes the system complicated increases the cost of the system. This study examined the correlation between the order of the sensitivity of the receiver filter and to configure the system by simply looking for ways to reduce the cost of the system. The simulation results showed that increasing the order of the filter resulted in a receiver that can determine if the sensitivity is raised. In addition, the order of the Butterworth filter range that does not reduce the sensitivity of the receiver was 2. Therefore, it will be possible to implement an inexpensive optical system of the receiver using the data from this study.

  • FIR형은 하드웨어 규모가 커져서 구성이 어렵다는 단점을 가지고 있으나, IIR형은 적은 차수로써 큰 차수의 FIR필터를 대신할 수 있다. IIR형은 적은 계산량과 간단한 하드웨어 구성이라는 장점을 갖고 있으나 수렴성에 있어서는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 적은 차수로 양호한 수렴특성을 갖는 IIR 필터를 구성하기 위하여 연속시간영역의 직교필터를 이산시간영역으로 변환하고 직교성을 유지하도록 정규화한 정규직교함수계에 의해서 설정된 전달함수를 적응 디지틀필터에 적용하였다. 이 방법을 확인하기 위하여 FIR형에 비교해서 적은 차수로 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과 양호한 수렴특성을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Noise Removal Performance of SAMED Filters (SAMED 필터의 잡음제거 성능에 대한 연구)

  • The SAMED filter is introduced as a wide class of multi-stage filters which encompass linear FIR and nonlinear order statistic filters. The output of SAMED filter is linear combination of sub-median outputs. In this paper, optimal SAMED filter is designed for images corrupted by various noise, and performance is analogized. The experimental result shows that the efficiency of each order of SAMED filters is depends on type of noise. It is shown that low order filters are effective in Gaussian environments but high order filters are effective in impulsive case. This result may be used to follow-up research on successive SAMED filters.

  • In this study an adaptive algorithm with optimum convergence factor for steepest descent method is proposed, which controls automatically the filter order to take the appropriate level. So far, fixed order filters have been used when adaptive filter is employed according to the priori knowledge or experience in various adaptive signal processing applications. But, it is so difficult to know the filter order needed in real implementations that high order filters have to be performed. As a result, redundant calculations are increased in the case of high order filters. The proposed variable length optimum convergence factor (VLOCF) algorithm takes the appropriated filter order within the given one so that the redundant calculation is decreased to get the enhancement of convergence speed and smaller convergence error during the steady state. The proposed algorithm is evaluated to prove the validity by computer simulation for system Identification.

Reduced-order Parameter-dependent Robust $H_{\infty}$ Filtering for Discrete Uncertain Singular Systems (이산 불확실 특이시스템의 변수종속 차수축소 강인 $H_{\infty}$ 필터링)

  • In this paper, we present a reduced-order parameter-dependent robust $H_{\infty}$ filter design method for discrete-time singular systems with polytopic uncertainties. A BRL(bounded real lemma) for parameter-dependent singular systems is derived from a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function. On the basis of the obtained BRL, low order robust $H_{\infty}$ filter design method is presented by polytopic approach, new reduced-order method, and LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrated the feasibility of the proposed method.

Kalman Filter Design For Aided INS Considering Gyroscope Mixed Random Errors (자이로의 불규칙 혼합잡음을 고려한 보조항법시스템 칼만 필터 설계)

  • Using the equivalent ARMA model representation of the mixed random errors, we propose Klaman filter design methods for aided INS(Inertial Navigation System) which contains the gyroscope mixed random errors. At first step, considering the characteristic of indirect feedback Kalman filter used in the aided INS, we perform the time difference of equivalent ARMA model. Next, according to the order of the time differenced ARMA model, we achieve the state space conversion of that by two methods. If the order of AR part is greater than MA part, we use controllable or observable canonical form. Otherwise, we establish the state apace equation via the method that several step ahead predicts are included in the state variable, where we can derive high and low order models depending on the variable which is compensated from gyroscope output. At final step, we include the state space equation of gyroscope mixed random errors into aided INS Kalman filter model. Through the simulation, we show that both the high and low order filter models proposed give less navigation errors compared to the conventional filter which assume the mixed random errors as white noise.

  • 잔향시간이 긴 실내의 전달함수의 모델링에 있어서 , 일반적인 플 밴드 MA 모델에 기초한 적응 필터를 이용한 경우에는, 많은 필터 차수를 필요로 하고 적응 시간이 길어지는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 필터 차수를 감소시키고 수렴 특성을 향사시키기 위해서, 각 입출력 신호를 몇 개의 주파수 대역으로 나우어서 각각의 주파수 대역에 대새서 적응 처리 과정을 행하는 서브밴드 MA 모델을 이용한 적응디지털 필터 처리 방법을 제안한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 서브밴드MA 모델을 이용한 디지털 적응 필터 처리과정의 유효성을 나타냈었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티웨이브릿 필터뱅크를 이용한 임베디드 제로 트리 구조(embedded zero tree structure)의 영상 압축방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 사용한 멀티웨이브릿 함수는 근사화 차수가 2인 새로운 방법의 DGHM 멀티웨이브릿을 사용하였으며, 영상을 부호화하기 위하여 임베디드 제로 트리 구조의 코딩기법을 사용한다. 높은 근사화 차수를 갖는 멀티웨이브릿 필터는 보다 우수한 에너지 압축 효과를 가지게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 우수한 에너지 압축 효과는 내기 위하여 수학적으로 정립이 된 근사화 차수가 2인 DGHM 멀티웨이브릿을 영상압축에 사용한다. 또한 기존의 멀티웨이브릿 필터들보다 높은 성능을 갖는 DGHM 멀티스케일링 및 멀티웨이브릿 필터를 구성하여 영상을 완전복원이 되도록 한다.

  • 스펙트럼 분할 시스템에서 사용되는 광수신기의 수신감도의 해석을 위해 시스템에서 필터의 실제적인 스펙트럼 폭의 효과가 수신기의 감도에 미치는 영향에 대해 평가하였다. 전송기법으로 일반적인 디지털전송기법인 OOK와 FSK를 이용하였고, 해석방법으로는 가우시안 근사법과 ${\kappa}$-자승법으로 이용하였다. 결과로써, 필터의 차수가 증가할수록 수신기의 감도가 줄어들었고, 필터로 인한 시스템의 페널티는 필터의 차수의 N이 3보다 큰 경우에는 1dB이하로 감소됨을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 필터의 차수 N이 3이상이 되면 시스템의 페널티가 1dB이하로 줄어들기 때문에 시스템의 성능에 큰 영향을 미치지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The biomedical signals such as ECG, EMG, EEG, and etc are very Important information to diagnose patients The signal is hard to filter the noise because that is mixed with a lot of noise and biomedical signal has the properties of nonlinear and time-variance. So, we will filter under the measure environment for system or patient. But the general adaptive fillet has brought on the distortion of signal because the adaptive filter adjust the filter coefficient with the fixed order of filter, that filter has the unsuitable order in each other environment. So we propose the dynamic structure adaptive filter that is used for improving that disadvantage. In experiment, we obtain the optimal order of adaptive filter and have food results.
