  • 폴리비닐알코올(poly(vinyl alcohol)) (PVA)은 수용성 고분자로써 필름 뿐만 아니라 생체의료용 소재와 산업용 소재로 많이 사용되고 있다. PVA는 폴리아세트산비닐과 같은 비닐에스테르계열 고분자를 비누화시켜 제조되는 히드록시기 함유 선형 결정성 고분자로서 이로부터 형성시킨 섬유나 필름은 높은 인장강도, 인장탄성률, 내마모성, 내용제성 및 내유성을 갖고 다른 고분자들에 비하여 월등히 우수한 내알칼리성과 산소 차단성을 보인다. (중략)

  • Quantum dot efficiency was increased to evaluate reliability and optical characteristics using incidental materials. Quantum dot was manufactured by wrapping a sandwich type quantum layer using a product with a barrier property to prevent water and oxygen because it is vulnerable to oxygen and moisture. We used the three quantum dot films consisting of quantum dot only and quantum dot products consisting of film and barrier film combined with PET in the quantum dot product to evaluate the change over 650 hours under high temperature and high humidity conditions at 60℃ and 90 % humidity. As a result, the quantum dot product with Barrier Film has lowered luminance by 8 %, CIE x by 2 % and CIE y by 8 %. Quantum dot products exposed to moisture and oxygen were oxidized and measured low before measurement.

Growth of Green Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in Greenhouse Covered with Light Diffusion Film (산광필름피복 시설 내 풋고추 생육)

  • During the growth of fruit vegetables such as pepper, cucumber and tomato, there are light deficiency under the plant canopy. This study was conducted to clarify the effect of light diffusion film on the stem growth, canopy, flowering and fruiting of green pepper in greenhouse. The transmittance of total solar radiation into greenhouse under woven and double films were 90% and 75% of polyethylene film. And the transmittance of photosynthetically active radiation into greenhouse under woven and double films were 96% and 81% of polyethylene film. However, the light diffusions under woven, double and polyethylene films were 46%, 31% and 9%, respectively. The plant height under polyethylene film covered greenhouse was 96.9% cm, taller than those under woven and double films by 6.5, 13.9 cm. And the third node length under woven film covered greenhouse was 8.6 cm, shorter than those under double and polyethylene films by 2.5, 5.7 cm. Also the first branch angle under woven film covered greenhouse was 61.0$^{\circ}$, larger than those under double and polyethylene films by 2.3, 10.3$^{\circ}$. But there was no clear difference in the node numbers among the covering materials. The rate of curved and sterile fruit under woven film covered greenhouse was smaller than those under double and polyethylene films by 4.6, 5.5% and 1.2, 3.6%. But the contents of vitamin C showed no difference among the covering materials and plant densities.

Preservation of Strawberries and Cucumbers Packaged by Low density polyethylene film impregnated with antimicmbial agent, Scutellariae baicalensis extract (황금추출물을 함유한 항균성 포장필름을 이용한 딸기와 오이의 저장효과)

  • To develop a wrapping film, which suppresses the microbial decay through the storage and prolongs the selflife of fruits and vegetables, the antimicrobial packaging films were prepared and applied to the preservation of strtwberries and cucumbers. Low density polyethylene(LDPE) film of 50㎛ thickness was faricated with 1% of Scutellariae baicalensis extract. The LDPE film impregnated with Scutellariae baicalensis extract showed antimicrobial activity on the disk test against Bacillus cereus, Escherchia coli and Fusarium sp.. The antimicrobial film changed the color and light transmittance, but did not affect heat shrinkage, mechanical tensile strength and wattability. Strawberries and cucumbers were separately wrapped with packaging films in the state of closely-adhered packaging as well as modified atmosphere packaging(MAP). The wrapped strawberries and cucumbers were stored for 21 days at 5$\^{C}$ and for 40 days at l0$\^{C}$, respectively. For the packaged strawberries and cucumbers at 5$\^{C}$ and 10$\^{C}$, the LDPE film impregnated with Scutellariae baicalensis extract showed the reduced growth of total aerobic bacteria, molds and yeasts and did not give any negative effect on other quality attributes during storage in comparison with conttrol film without any additive.
