현재 대구가톨릭대학교 의무부총장인 채영희 요셉 신부가 가톨릭피부과의원 제3대 원장으로 취임하였을 때, 한센인을 위해 33년을 봉사 헌신하신 전임 엠마 프라이싱거 원장의 업적과 정신을 유지, 발전시키기 위하여, 나균으로 인해 말초신경의 감각손실과 손, 발, 얼굴 등의 근육위축으로 인해 일반병원에서는 편히 진료 볼 수 없는 한센환우들의 불편한 점을 개선하기 위해 칠곡가톨릭병원을 개원하게 되었다. 한센환우들을 위하여 칠곡가톨릭병원 모든 진료과목 의료진은 매주 금요일 외래진료를 제공하고 있으며, 입원환우는 필요시 수시로 진료를 해 드리고 있다. 이와 같이 칠곡가톨릭병원과 가톨릭피부과의원은 병원 설립목적 달성을 위해 관심과 배려를 기울이고 있다. 칠곡가톨릭병원과 가톨릭피부과의원은 지역민의 질병을 단순히 치료하는 것 뿐만 아니라 지역민의 건강유지 및 향상 그리고 지속적인 관리를 통하여 진정으로 지역민의 건강 증진에 도용이 되기 위하여 노력하고 있으며, 시랑과 봉사의 정신으로 지역민을 위한 병 의원으로 거듭나고 있다.

본 연구는 20대 여성을 대상으로 소비자의 일반적 특성(라이프스타일, 거주지, 소득)이 피부관리정보원의 중요도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 설문, 조사하였다. 연구결과 20대 여성소비자는 피부관리정보원 6개 중 피부과의원을 가장 중요시 하는 정보원으로 인식하고 있었다. 피부관리정보원 6개의 중요도에 대하여 3개변인(라이프스타일, 거주지, 소득)을 이용하여 삼원변량분석한 결과 피부과의원, 신문 잡지, 가족 친구 지인, 소셜커머스 등 인터넷 정보원은 유의적인 차이가 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 마케팅 제언을 하자면, 서울의 피부과의원은 특히 고소득층 소비자를 대상으로 신문 잡지에 기사, 광고 등을 집중적으로 실어 홍보하는 것이 바람직하며, 대전의 고가전략을 쓰는 피부산업체에서는 인터넷정보원을 집중적으로 활용하면 훌륭한 마케팅 수단이 될 것이다.

Objectives : This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of incisional needle therapy, a type of Korean medicine treatment, on atrophic scars caused by herpes zoster and varicella. Methods : The patients with atrophic scars resulting from herpes zoster and varicella were treated with incisional needle therapy and the effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated with Physician's Global Assessment (PGA) and The Stony Brook Scar Evaluation Score (SBSES). Results : After treatment, all patients demonstrated improvements in PGA and SBSES. The PGA score improved to 3.73±0.40, with SBSES changing from 1.60±0.60 to 4.80±0.80. Conclusions : We suggest that incisional needle therapy demonstrates effectiveness in treating scars resulting from herpes zoster and varicella, indicating its potential as a viable therapeutic option for individuals affected by these conditions.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the cases of Korean medical treatment for the patulous eustachian tube patients with dyspepsia. Methods : Two patients with dyspepsia diagnosed with patulous eustachian tube has treated with Korean medical interventions(acupuncture, pharmacoacupuncture, and moxibustion). The improvement of symptoms was evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : The visual analogue scale has decreased from 10 to 1 and from 10 to 0, respectively. Conclusions : Korean medical treatment had shown a positive clinical effect in the treatment of the patulous eustachian tube with dyspepsia in this case reports.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to present the effect of subcision, microneedle therapy system and herbal peeling therapy which is treatment of Korean medicine to atrophic acne scar patients. Methods : We administered subcision, microneedle therapy system and herbal peeling therapy to atrophic acne scar patients and tested the results by Qualitative Global Acne Scarring Grading System and Korean Acne Grading System as well. Results : After the treatment, all of the patients showed improvements in Qualitative Global Acne Scarring Grading System and Korean Acne Grading System as well. Qualitative Global Acne Scarring Grading System of patients changed from grade 2.71±0.71 to grade 1.14±0.86 along with the change of Korean Acne Grading System from grade 1.57±0.57 to grade 1.00±0.00. Conclusions : Subcision, microneedle therapy system and herbal peeling therapy may be effective in the treatment of moderate to severe acne scars, and could be applied in clinical practice.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the case of a bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss patient whose hearing had improved by Korean medical treatment combined with threshold sound. Methods : A woman diagnosed with bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss has treated with Korean medical interventions(acupuncture combined with electromagnetic stimulation and pharmacoacupuncture) and threshold sound conditioning(TSC) for 20 weeks. Pure tone audiometry(PTA) was performed for the evaluation. Results : The average hearing level has improved from mild to normal level. The level of tinnitus has decreased from VAS 10 to VAS 4. Conclusions : We observed an improvement in a bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss patient's hearing and hereby suggest the possibility of Korean medical treatment and TSC's ameliorating effect on sensorineural hearing loss.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of the Korean medical treatment for periungual warts. Methods : From December 2016 to March 2019, all patients were treated by herbal medicine, acupuncture, sweet bee venom acupuncture and moxibustion. Photographs of lesions were used to evaluate the changes in symptoms. Results : After Korean medical treatment, the periungual warts of all patients were disappeared remarkably and there were no adverse effects such as nail dystropy, nail loss and no recurrence at all. Conclusions : This study shows that Korean Medicine such as herbal medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion was effective to treat periungual warts.

Objectives : To get to know the effects of placental extract and laser theraphy for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, we have tried a injection of placental extract and laser theraphy into 聽宮(SI19), 聽會(GB02) for patient with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. Methods : In this case clinical assessment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction is assessed by the VAS score and the Korean Version of Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders(RDC/TMD). Results : The VAS score was significantly decreased after Placental extract herbal acupuncture and laser theraphy Conclusion : Placental extract herbal acupuncture and laser theraphy effectively resolved pain for Temporomandibular Disorders.

Recently the hospitals or clinics tend to get out of the functional and technological aspect so as to gradually emphasize service for patients. While qualitative rather than quantitative alteration is noticeable, the scale of clinics is getting larger. Especially, the opulence resulted from economic, social and cultural development has enabled more people to visit dermatology or plastic surgery besides treatment for disease. Responding to this tendency, dermatology is focusing on skin beauty, plastic operation, controlling obesity, etc. for women rather than ordinary treatment. Thus, dermatology is in need of space for skin control as well as ordinary treatment, which raises the immediate necessity of new plan for space and interior environment. In order to meet such necessity of dermatology, it is required to fully study and consider the plan for interior space. First, the purpose, scope and method of research will be defined in the introduction. Second, the concept of clinic as well at the characteristic of dermatology will be studied by theoretical investigation. Third, the general concept of dermatology will be analyzed by examining the characteristic of each room in dermatology, the moving line of nurses and patients, the color of dermatology and the design factor of finishing materials through general investigation on dermatology. Fourth, in order to look into the general case of dermatology, the object of examination will be selected for examination through literature and visiting. After examining data, the result will be analyzed and evaluated to prepare the ground for interior plan of dermatology.
