고온피로와 크리이프 변형의 특성과 상호작용에 관한 최근의 연구경향

  • 고온에서 사용되는 금속재료의 변형과 손상에 관한 현상을 설명하기 위하여 크리이프 변형과 피로 변형의 특성 및 이론을 간단히 고찰하였고 크리이프와 피로가 상호작용하는 경우의 변형 특성과 이론적 모델을 검토하였다. 크리이프와 피로 그리고 분위기와의 상호작용에 관한 내용을 간단히 정리하면 다음과 같다. (1)고온피로 변형동안에 발생하는 크리이프변형은 피로수명을 감소시킨다. (2)Creep-Fatigue-Environment 상호작용에 대한 만족할 만한 이해가 아직 미흡한 실정이다. (3)이 분야의 연구는 학문적인 관점에서나 공업적인 측면에서나 모두 대단히 중요 하다. (4)균열의 생성과 성장기구의 독립적인 이해가 가능한 연구가 수행되어져야 한다. (5)현재 국내에서 많은 원자력 발전소를 건설중이고 또 공업적으로도 고온조업의 필요성이 증대되고 있는 시점에서 우리나라에서도 위 분야의 연구가 활성화 되어야 하겠다.

  • PZT박막은 비휘발성 재료로 유전율이 높고 항전력이 작으면서 잔류 분극랑이 크기 때문에 적합한 특성을 가지고 FeRAM에 매력적인 물질이다. CMP(chemical mechanical polishing)는 기존의 회생막의 전면 식각 공정과는 달리 특정 부위의 제거 속도를 조절함으로써 평탄화 하는 기술로 wafer 전면을 회전하는 탄성 패드 사이에 액상의 Slurry를 투입하여 연마하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 CMP 공정으로 제조한 PZT박막 캐패시터에서 CMP 후처리공정(세척)의 유무 및 종류에 따라 피로특성에 대하여 연구하였다, PZT 박막의 캐패시터의 피로 특성을 연구한 결과 CMP 후처리공정 SC-l용액을 사용하여 세정공정을 하였을때 가장 향상된 PZT 캐패시터의 피로특성이 나타났다.

Fatigue Life Estimation Method Considering Traffic Properties for Steel Highway Girder Bridge (교통특성을 고려한 강도로교의 피로수명 평가 방안)

  • The fatigue phenomenon, which is induced by stress accumulation due to the repeated loading of vehicles in the long term, is one of the main factors of the span of life of a steel bridge. In this paper, the effects of traffic properties on the fatigue life of ordinary short- and medium-span steel plate girder bridges that are exposed to relatively large dynamic effects are investigated. From the analysis, it was known that the fatigue life of the bridge becomes shorter with increasing traffic volume and number of large vehicles, and is affected by the weights of the vehicles. Based on the analysis results, a new parameter that can represent the traffic property that affects the fatigue life of the subject bridge is suggested, and the validity of the parameter is confirmed.

  • Life prediction and residual life prediction of structures of machines are one of the most strongly world wide needed problems as requirement in the stage of slowly developing economy which comes after rapidly and highly developing stage. For the purpose of statistical life prediction, fatigue test was conducted under the 4 stress levels, and for each stress level, about 20 specimens are used. The statistical properties of crack growth parameter m and C in the fatigue crack growth law of da/dN=C(.DELTA.K)sup m/, and the relationship between m and C, and the statistical distribution pattern of fatigue crack growth rate can be obtained by experimental results.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among fatigue, personality, learning strategies, and academic achievement of medical students. 146 students from year 1 to year 4 at one medical school participated in this study. Students completed the fatigue, Big Five personality traits(Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness), learning, strategies. The academic achievement of students measured by GPA. The data were analyzed by t-test and stepwise multiple regression. The student's fatigue differed by grade, and the students of low grade had higher scores than high grade. But personality traits and learning strategies were not significantly different by grade. The factors that affect on academic achievement differ by grade. In low grade, neuroticism, extraversion, and rehearsal affected students' academic achievement. In high grade, conscientiousness and extraversion had an effect on the academic achievement of students. These results could guide the design of medical education improvement, and be useful in developing a supporting program for medical students.

A Study on the Photo-Degradation Properties of the Spiropyran Using THz-TDS (테라헤르츠 시간 영역 분광법을 이용한 스피로파이란의 광 퇴화 특성 연구)

  • The spiropyran is a typical material having photodegradation properties in the process of photochromism. The spiropyran has been utilized in various applications such as optical switch, optical memories, and biosensor because of its remarkable stability, fast responsive time, stronger color change, and photo-induced controllability. However, the spriropyran is photodegraded by the repetitive optical irradiation. The photodegradation of spiropyran have been investigated by using UV-Visible spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Raman spectroscopy. Herein, the properties of spiropyran were characterized by using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) in the terahertz frequency region. In terahertz region, the measured absorbance of spiropyran was increased due to the photodegradation induced by the repetitive UV irradiation. The absorbance tendency of spiropyran in the terahertz frequency region was compared with that in the visible region, and they were completely opposite to each other.

  • Investigations of the fatigue damage of roughing mill roll and experimentally. By the computer simulation for analysing the stresses on the roll surface and experimental hot rolling, the following results were drawn : The crakcs observed on the roll surface were initiated thermally in the initial stage of the rolling and propagated by repeated thermal and bending stresses. The size of the roll surface cracks smaller than 4.87mm could avoid the occurrence of tiny scab, surface defect of hot steel strip. Since the size of surface cracks observed on the roughing mill roll was very small, the fatigue damage of roll surface was found not to be the major factor for the formation of the scab.

  • Shot peening process is most often used to improve the fatigue properties of metal parts, In order to achieve an optimum, repeatable, and reliable fatigue enhancement from the shot peening process, the important shot peening parameters must be optimized, In this paper, the optimum peening intensity(Almen intensity) condition is investigated by experiment. Rotary bending fatigue test has been adopted to investigate the effects of optimum peening on the fatigue characteristics, Experimental results show that the fatigue strength and fatigue life has been tremendously increased by optimum-peening treatment. However, the fatigue strength and fatigue life has been decreased by under or over peening.

Evaluation Technique of Nonlinear dynamic Viscoelasticity During Fatigue Process for Polymeric materials (고분자재료의 피로과정에서의 비선형 동적 점탄특성 평가법)

  • 내피로성은 기계적 구조물로 사용되는 고분자재료에는 반드시 필요한 성질이며, 피 로거동은 재료특유의 비선형 동적 점탄특성과 아주 밀접한 관계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 피 로과정에서의 비선형 동적 점탄특성을 정량적, 연속적으로 측정할수 있는 시험 기기와 가해 준 변형에 대한 응답 응력파의 기본 응력파(선형적 응답)로부터의 차이를 직접 측정하여 이 를 규격화한 비선형 점탄성파라미터, NVP(Nonlinear Viscoelastic Parameter)라 명명한 새 로운 평가방법을 개발하였다. 그리고 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(HDPE) 배향물을 사용하여 그 평가 방법의 타당성을 조사한 결과 피로과정에서의 비선형동적 점탄특성을 나타내는 NVP가 증 가함에 따라 재료의 피로수명은 감소하였다. 따라서 NVP가 고분자재료의 내피로성을 평가 하는 척도로서 사용가능하다는 사실이 증명되었다. 또한 각 고조파 성분에대해 조사한 결과 인장형 피로시험양식에서는 고체입자 분산계의 전단변형에서 나타난 비선형 점탄성의 결과 와는 달리 2차 성분의 크기가 가장컸으며 NVP에의 기여도도 가장 크게 나타났다. 이는 변 형양식의 차이에 따른 결과를 볼수 있다.

  • 본고에서는 피로파괴에 관하여 크게 두가지로 나누어서 설명한다. 첫째 피로현상에 의하여 생기는 피로파면형태 및 전위조직에 관하여 설명하고 그 다음에는 피로균열의 생성기구에 관하여 피로균열의 각 단계별로 설명하고 파면의 특성에 관하여 파괴역학적인 수법도 사용하여 설명한다.
