Development of Design Technology for Passenger Car Driveshaft Under the Real Load Conditions (실제하중 하에서의 축류설계기술 개발)

  • 승요차 앞자축에 장착되어 회전하면서 동력을 전달하는 드라이브축은 운행중에 주로 비틀림하중을 받는다. 따라서 동 부품의 피로해석 및 설계를 위해서는 실제 운행중에 받는 서비스토크의 크기, 주파수 등에 관한 데이터가 필요하다. 차량에 탑재된 엔진의 토크와 회전수 등의 규격으로부터 드라이브축에 부가되는 최대 토크 값을 예측할 수 있으나, 자동차 운행주에는 승차인원, 도로조건, 운전자의 운전습관 등 여러가지 외적인 영향으로 인하여 서비스토크가 불규칙하게 변할 것으로 예상되므로 서비스토크를 정확히 예측하기는 어려운 실정이다. 또한, 최근의 자동차 구조부품에 대한 설계개념이 무한수명 설계에서 경량화 설계로 변화되고 있으며, 따라서 자동차 드라이브축도 실제 운용하중을 바탕으로 한 정확한 수명예측 및 강도설계가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 4륜구동형 승용차용 드라이브축에 대해 실제 운용하중에서의 피로수명을 예측하기 위해 1)텔리메트리를 이용하여 토크를 측정하고, 2) 일정진촉하중하에서의 드라이브축의 비틀림 피로시험을 수행하고, 3) 일정진폭하중하에서의 드라이브축의 비틀림 피로시험을 수행하고, 4) 축류 소재의 피로특성 데이터를 구성하여 5) 자체 개발한 프로그램으로 피로수명을 예측하고자 한다.

  • The goal of this study is to develop an equivalent fatigue load model for prestressed concrete composite girder bridges in Korea. To meet this goal, the probabilistic characteristics of traffics which cause fatigue damage in bridges are properly modeled. An equivalent fatigue load inodel for prestressed concrete composite girder bridges with constant. amplitude and frequency is established. The model proposed in this paper is very simple to use and gives fairly good results.

  • 피로 파괴연구의 급격한 발전에 따라 최근의 기계나 구조물들은 많은 분야에서 손상허용설계원리에 근거하여 설계되고 있다. 이러한 상황 하에서 피로파손의 정확한 특성을 밝히는 것은 신뢰성을 고려한 기계나 구조물의 설계에 있어 가장 중요한 요인이 된다. 피로파손은 많은 랜덤요소를 내포하고 있으므로 실험결과 분석 및 수명예측을 분석하기 위해서는 통계학적 해석이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 회전굽힘피로시험을 수행하고 피로수명을 분석하는데 정규분포, 대수분포, 지수분포 및 Weibull분포를 이용하여 실험결과와 비교하고 파손확률을 찾는데 있다.

  • This paper is a study on the fatigue Strength depending on bead height. According to the AWS CODE D1.1, reinforcement shall not exceed 1/8"(3.2mm) in height. Most of the bead heights exceed AWS rule in actual welding. So we estimated the fatigue Strength of the as-welded specimens and the removed bead specimens of which height is 3mm with SAW 2 pole process. As a result, this paper presents that fatigue Strength is not concerned with as welded condition and removed 3mm bead height, also fatigue Strength obtained as welled specimens are satisfied with those proposed by the UK DEN, DNV and AWS.

Convergence Relationship between Occupational Stress and Fatigue Symptoms among Blue Collar Workers in Manufacturing Plants (제조업 생산직 근로자들의 직무스트레스와 피로와의 융복합적 관련성)

  • This study has been conducted to determine the fatigue symptoms(MFS) and its convergence association with occupational stress(KOSS) among small scale manufacturing male workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 428 workers employed in 14 work places under 50 members of manufacturing industries during the period from September 1st to 15th, 2015. As a results, the level of fatigue symptoms(MFS) was positively correlated with occupational stress(KOSS). Hierarchial multiple regression analysis revealed that the factors of influence with explanatory powers of 34.1% on fatigue symptoms(MFS) included sex, BMI, subject health status, smoking, regular exercise, drinking coffee, visiting out-patient department, sense of satisfaction in job life, and occupational stress(KOSS). Above results suggested that the level of occupational stress(KOSS) is so convergence influenced by variable factors as well as sociodemographic characteristics, health related characteristics and job-related characteristics, to a greater extent, by occupational stress(KOSS).

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of job-stress factors associated with fatigue among emergency rescue workers. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 264 rescue workers in J province from January 5 to March 14, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics about the subjects, health-related characteristics, a job stress instrument, and a subjective fatigue instrument. The results were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis to determine the factors related to fatigue. Fatigue was influenced by the personal characteristics of the rescue workers and job stress. To reduce fatigue, effort to manage and relieve stress is required after a job is done in the field. In addition, it is expected that fatigue can be reduced by providing methods that can improve the healthcare capacity of the rescue workers.

Effects of Fillers on Fatigue Crack Growth Rate of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (충전제가 EPDM의 피로균열 성장속도에 미치는 영향)

  • Crack growth characteristics of elastomeric materials are an important factor determining the strength and durability. In this study, the fatigue crack growth characteristic of filled EPDM compounds with different reinforcing fillers, such as silica and carbon black, was investigated using a newly designed tester. Frequency and test temperature had significant effects on the fatigue crack growth. The crack growth rate decreased with increasing frequency and the rate increased with increasing temperature. A power law relationship between the tearing energy and crack growth was observed for filled EPDM compounds. The crack growth rate reduced with increasing filler contents. Silica filled EPDM showed a better fatigue resistance than carbon black filled EPDM. The crack growth rate of silica filled EPDM decreased up to 30 phr and increased again at 50 phr. The formation of microductile type pits was observed on the fatigue-failure surface of unfilled EPDM, and relatively coarse surface with randomly distributed tear lines was observed on the failure surface of silica filled EPDM.

A Study on the Fatigue Characteristics in Butt-Welded Joints with Incomplete Penetration (용입부족을 가진 횡방향 맞대기 용접부의 피로특성에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to examine fatigue behavior of as-welded butt-welded joints with incomplete penetration from fatigue tests. The test results are the following. In static tests, tensile strength and yield strength of butt-welded joints are constant regardless of incomplete penetration. And in fatigue tests, fatigue strength of fully penetrated butt-welded joints satisfies fatigue limits, prescribed in Korean Specifications and JSSC, respectively. The results show that as the magnitude of incomplete penetration increases, fatigue strength decreases. In fractured surfaces, full and incomplete penetration specimen show different shapes, it is because that stress concentration factor vary with structural geometry in bead toe and root tip, and certify in FEM analysis. This study suggests that defects such as incomplete penetration from welding must be avoided in order to attain the sufficient life of steel structures.

  • The use of welding process has been increased for manufacture of machine, bridges, ships, gas facilities and so on together with development of welding technique. Accordingly, it has been needed to develop the welding methods considering higher productivity and safety design for manufacture of their welding structures. In this study, it was studied basically on characteristics of fatigue strength and fatigue life in full penetrated cruciform fillet weld zone in relation to material thickness, welding passes, loading direction and notch radius of toe zone. Most of fatigue failure occurred in toe zone of cruciform fillet weld joint. Fatigue strength and fatigue life are under the influence of stress concentration due to notch radius and flank angle of toe zone. The metal of toe zone annealed and diffused by multi-layer welding and acicular ferrite structure formed by the result improved fatigue strength and fatigue life.

탄소와 질소 함량 변화에 따른 type 347 스테인리스강의 피로균열거동 연구

  • 오스테나이트 스테인리스강은 우수한 내식성 및 기계적 특성으로 인해 구조용 재료로 널리 사용되고 있다. 표준원전 경수로의 경우 가압기 밀림관소재로 Nb 안정화 오스테나이트 스테인리스강인 type 347 스테인리스강이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 원전배관에서는 운전중 배관내 온도편차에 의한 열응역과 하중변화에 의한 기계적하중에 의해 피로손상을 받는다. 일반적으로 범용 오스테나이트 스테인리스강(AISI 304, 316)의 피로균열 성장거동에 대한 연구결과는 국내외적으로 다수 축적되어 있으나 type 347 탄소, 질소 함량에 따른 기계적 특성 및 피로균열성장 연구는 매우 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 탄소와 질소의 함량에 따른 기계적거동을 평가하고, 이에 따른 피로균열전파속도를 관찰하여 스테인리스강의 정확한 피로균열전파속도 곡선을 제시하고자 한다. 실험에 사용된 시편은 두께 5mm, 폭 25.4mm CT시편을 사용하였으며, 1mm의 예비균열을 주었다. 그리고 실험온도는 상온과 원전가동온도인 $316^{\circ}C$에서 실시하였으며, 주파수는 10Hz를 주었다. 실험결과 각 함량에 따른 type 347의 미세조직 관찰결과 기지내에 압연방향을 따라 조대한 석출물의 흐름이 관찰되었으며, 크기나 분포가 큰 차이를 보였다. C+N 함량이 낮은 시편은 주로 $0.1\;{\mu}m$ 이하의 미세한 입자들이 오스테나이트 기지조직의 입내와 입계에 고르게 분포되어 있었다. 그러나 C+N 함량이 높은 시편의 경우에는 $0.1\;{\mu}m$ 이하의 미세한 입자들과 함께 국부적으로 $1\sim10\;{\mu}m$의 조대한 입자들이 분포하고 있는 것이 관찰되었다. 그리고 질소의 함량이 높아짐에 따라 인장강도는 증가하였으며, 피로시험결과 고온에서 실험한 피로균열성장률 곡선이 상온보다 높게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 질소가 적게 첨가되고 탄소의 함량이 많을수록 피로균열성장률은 ASME 곡선보다 낮게 나타났다.
