기둥-보 연결 강구조물의 소성회전각에 의한 피로곡선 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Line with Plastic Rotaional Angle for Steel Structure of the Beam-to-Column Joints)

  • 본 연구에서는 지진 등과 같이 소성변형의 범위가 큰 Low-Cycle-Fatigue 범주에서 구조물의 응력변동을 중심으로 사용되는 기존의 피로곡선인 S-N선도 보다 실질적으로 간단하게 측정하여 분석할 수 있는 소성회전각에 의한 피로곡선을 제시하였다. 이는 소성힌지가 생성되는 곳의 소성변형율과 구조물의 소성회전각이 서로 정비례를 이루는 상관관계임을 입증하여, 실험을 통하여 밝혀진 소성변형율의 피로곡선의 기울기와 소성회전각의 기울기가 서로 같은 값을 가짐을 보여 주었다. 이론은 Manson과 Coffin의 변형을 피로곡선을 도입하였고, 실험은 ECCS 주관하에 실시하였으며, 수치해석을 통하여 소성힌지 부위의 위치와 정확한 소성변형율을 산정할 수 있었다.

  • Most cracks in the structure occur under mixed mode loadings and those propagation depend on the stress ratio very much. So, it is necessary to study the fatigue behavior under mixed mode loading as stress ratio changes. In this paper, fatigue crack propagation behavior was investigated respectively at stress ratio 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and we change loading application angle to $0^{\circ},\;30^{\circ},\;60^{\circ}$ to apply various loading. mode. The mode I and II stress intensity factors of CTS specimen used in this study were calculated by displacement extrapolation method using FEM(ABAQUS). Using both the study through the experiment and the theoretical study through FEM analysis, we studied the relation between crack propagation rate and stress intensity factor range at each loading mode due to the variation of stress ratio. Also, when the crack propagated under given stress condition and given loading mode condition, we studied what the dominant factors of the crack propagation rate were at each case.

  • 초탄성 재료인 고무는 타이어의 주 원료인데, 주행 중 다양한 형태의 하중을 받는다. 그와 같은 하중에 의하여 타이어에 변형률에너지가 축적되어 파손에 이르게 된다. 일반적으로 초탄성재료인 고무는 금속과 다른 응력연화 특성을 갖고 있기 때문에 금속의 시험법을 적용할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조성비가 다른 2 종의 타이어용 고무에 대한 피로특성을 평가하기 위하여, ASTM D4482 규격에서 요구하는 변형률 범위를 확장하여 인장 및 피로시험을 진행하였으며, 실험 결과를 이용하여 피로수명식을 제안하였다.

강재로 구속된 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 합성거더의 정적 및 피로거동 (A Study on the Static and Fatigue Behavior of Steel-Confined Prestressed Concrete Girder)

  • 최근 국내에서 I형 거더의 외부가 강재로 이루어지고 내부에 무근콘크리트가 채워져 합성된 거더에 프리스트레스를 도입하여 경간을 장대화할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 합성거더인 '강재로 구속된 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 합성거더(Steel-Confined Prestressed Concrete Girder; SCP Girder)'가 개발되었다. 또한 개발된 거더를 실물크기로 제작하여 시공성을 확인하고 정적하중 재하에 의한 파괴실험을 통해 공용 중 안전성에 대한 실험적 검증이 수행되었다(김정호 등, 2002). 그러나 SCP 합성거더의 실용화를 위해서는 교량 파손의 주원인이 주행하중의 영향에 의한 피로파손인 점을 고려하여 반복하중에 대한 피로거동의 연구 및 피로 안전성 확보가 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 SCP 합성거더에 대한 피로거동 특성을 파악하고 피로설계를 위한 기초적인 자료를 제시하기 위해 피로실험을 실시하였다. 피로실험을 위한 시험체의 제작은 1등교에 해당하는 설계활하중(DB-24)에 대하여 10m 지간으로 설계 제작하였으며, 실험결과 도로교설계기준(한국도로교통협회, 2000)의 상세피로범주에 따른 허용피로응력범위를 초과하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 초기정적재하를 통해 설계의 타당성과 구조적 거동을 분석하였으며, 피로실험 종료 후 거더 외부를 이루고 있는 강재를 제거하여 내부콘크리트의 상태를 관찰하였다.

7075-T6 A1 합금의 피로균열진전의 변동성에 대한 확률론적 해석 (A Stochastic Analysis of Variation in Fatigue Crack Growth of 7075-T6 Al alloy)

  • The stochastic properties of variation in fatigue crack growth are important in reliability and stability of structures. In this study,the stochastic model for the variation of fatigue crack growth rate was proposed in consideration of nonhomogeneity of materials. For this model, experiments were ocnducted on 7075-T6 aluminum alloy under the constant stress intensity factor range. The variation of fatigue crack growth rate was expressed by random variables Z and r based on the variation of material coefficients C and m in the paris-Erodogan's equation. The distribution of fatigue life with respect to the stress intensity factor range was evaluated by the stochastic Markov chain model based on the Paris-Erdogan's equation. The merit of proposed model is that only a small number of test are required to determine this this function, and fatigue crack growth life is easily predicted at the given stress intensity factor range.

SiC 휘스커 강화 알미늄기 복합재료의 미소 표면 피로균열의 발생 및 진전거동 (Initiation and Growth Behavior of Small Surface Fatigue Cracks on SiC Whisker Reinforced Aluminum Composite)

  • Reversed plane bending fatigue tests were conducted on SiC whisker reinforced aluminum composite which were consolidated by squeeze casting process. Initiation and growth of small surface fatigue c racks were investigated by means of a plastic replica technique. The fatigue crack initiated in the vicinity of SiC whisker/matrix interface. It was found that a fatigue crack deflected along SiC whisker and grew in a zig-zag manner microscopically, although the crack propagated along the direction normal to the loading axis macroscopically. The coalescence of micro-cracks was observed in the tests conducted at high stress levels, but were not evident in tests in which lower levels of stress were applied. Due to the coalescence, a higher crack growth rate of small cracks rather than those of long cracks was recognized in da/dn -ΔK realtionship.

세라믹 코팅된 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V강의 피로균열성장 특성 (Fatigue crack growth properties of ceramic coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel)

  • Fatigue tests were performed to investigate the effect of ceramic coatings as in TiN and TiCN on fatigue crack growth properties of ceramic coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel with different coating thickness in laboratory air conditions. The experimental results are described with respect to a Paris equation, da/dN=C(.DELTA.K)$^{m}$ , where the crack growth rate of coated specimens provided as similar growth rate as that of the uncoated specimen regardless of coating thickness. Furthermore, it was observed that the type of coating layer had virtually no effect on crack growth rate in the full region of stress intensity factor range. And it was also appeared that the final crack length of TiCN coated specimens was short compared to that of TiN coated, and the substrate specimens, in which it was inferred due to lowering the toughness of coated material from high hardness of TiCN coating layer itself.

PWR환경에서 CF8M, CF8A 배관재의 부식피로특성 연구 (Corrosion Fatigue Characteristics of CF8M and CF8A on the PWR Condition)

  • In this study, corrosion fatigue characteristics of CF8M and CF8A steel were investigated on the simulated PWR condition(Temp.:$316^{\circ}C$, Pres.: 15:MPa). To make the simulated PWR condition. the special test machine consisted of INSTRON, Autoclave, LOOP and Measurement system was developed. As ${\Delta}K$ is ranged from 11 to $20MPa{\sqrt{m}}$, Crack growth rate of PWR condition is faster than air condition. Above $20MPa{\sqrt{m}}$, the crack growth rate of PWR and air condition is similar. Corrosion fatigue characteristics regardless of the ferrite contents($10{\sim}25wt.%$) is not different. After the test, the fracture surface of specimens was examined. It was difficult to verify the fracture modes such as striation, intergranular crack and cleavage and so on. As the ferrite content of CF8M is increased, the more particles covered fracture surface were peeled.

고온의 인공해수 중 12Cr강의 부식피로특성에 관한 연구 (Corrosive Characterisics of 12Cr Alloy Steel and Fatigue Characteristics of the Artificially Degraded 12Cr Alloy Steel)

  • In this study, corrosion fatigue characteristics of 12Cr alloy steel were investigated in 3.5wt.% NaCl solution of 150$^{\circ}C$ and 4.5bar. Behavior of corrosion fatigue cracks was measured by the indirect compliance method and compared with the results in distilled water and in air. 1) 12Cr alloy steel was susceptible to temperature. Its susceptibility was increased as the temperature was increased. 2) The crack growth characteristics of 12Cr alloy steel in distilled water were similar to 3.5wt.% NaCl solution. 3) The temperature of solution affects to the crack growth characteristics of 12Cr alloy steel. In corrosion solutions of 4.5bar, 150$^{\circ}C$, fracture surfaces of corrosion fatigue crack growth at a/W=0.3 was showed the trans-granular fracture suface. As the crack grew up, it was changed to inter-granular type. In condition of high temperature, The crack growth behaviors of 12Cr alloy steel were remarkable.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate fracture toughness and fatigue crack propagation behavior in the Reduced Activation Ferritic Steel (RAFs) JLF-I. The fracture toughness tests were performed with various size(plane size and thickness) and various side groove of specimens. The fatigue crack propagation behavior of the JLF-I steel was investigated by the constant-amplitude loading test for the stress ratios R=O.I, 0.3 and 0.5 respectively. The effects of stress ratios and specimen size on the fatigue crack growth behaviors for JLF-I steel were discussed within the Paris law. The test results showed the standard CT specimen with the side groove of 40 % represented a valid fracture toughness. The fracture resistance curve increased with increasing plane size and decreased with increasing thickness. However, the fracture resistance curve of half size specimen was similar to that of the standard specimen. The fatigue crack propagation rate of a half size specimen was similar to that of a full size specimen at the stress ratios of 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 respectively. The fatigue crack propagation behavior of this material were evaluated by using a half size specimen.
