Safety Characteristics of Metal-Fueled Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor (금속연료를 사용하는 소듐냉각 고속로의 안전특성)

  • The leading countries in nuclear technology development are concentrating their efforts on the development of Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor, which is one of the Generation-IV nuclear reactor systems characterized by a sustainability, an enhanced safety, proliferation resistance, and improved economics. Especially, the Republic of Korea is developing a Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor equipped with metallic-fuel. This type of fast reactor has superior inherent safety and passive safety characteristics. Further, sodium-cooled fast reactors enable the reuse of spent fuel and the closing of fuel cycle, thus, it increases the sustainability of nuclear energy. Many countries are planning the deployment of sodium-cooled fast reactors before 2050 in their energy mix.

Passive Immunity by Splenocyte Transfer against Amebic Meningoeneephalitis in Mice (세포에 의한 아메바성 수막뇌염에 대한 피동면역의 전달)

  • The role of passive cell-mediated transfer of immunity against primary amoebic meningoen- cephalitis(PAME) in mice was studied. Waegleria fowleri, ITMAP 359, were cultured in CGVS medium. The ICR mice used were six week-old males of average weight of 15 g. Immunization was done by three intraperitoneal injections of $1{\times}10^6$ N. fowleri trophozoites at the interval of one week. Splenocytes were obtained from normal and immune mice spleens, and Ix107 cells were administered intraperitoneally into mice 3 days before challenge infection. Mice were infected intranasally with $7{\times}10^4$ N. fowleri trophozoites in a $3{\;}{\mu}l$ suspension under secobarbiturate anesthesia. Transplants of normal or immune splenocytes seem to alter the pattern of the PAME level- opment. The splenocytcs transferred from immune mice reduced the mortality rate in the JV. fowleri infected mice, as compared with the mice transferred with the same number of normal splenocytes or without splenocyte, The blastogenic response of the splenocytes to both lipopoly- saccharide and concanavalin A was elevated on duty 7 after infection the mice transinoculated with immune splenocytes. The serum antibody titers in the mice transferred with immune spleno- cytes were increased gradually from day 7 up to day 20 after infections by mean of ELISA. It is suggested that the transfer of splenocytes from immuniged mice conferred immunity against N. fowleri infection.

  • In the growing standard of people's lives, we want desire to create eco-friendly water space what is called the Green Technology that is in the limelight. These green space is introduced the cultural contents and we use the water, music, and nature as tool of emotional verbalism. Presently, when we want to make scenario, water landscape scenario is made by director. but these systems have some disadvantages as the cost and limitation of direction. There is a growing interest in the integrated control system based on PC and Internet. In this paper, it is about fountain control system. Previous research area was only one using programmable logic controller or industrial PC. we proposed the development of intelligent green fountain culture system for healthy emotional self-concept. And we made automatic weather sensing system that is designed by the intelligent green fountain culture system to estimate the time-variant system.

Enhancement of 4 Bar Parallelogram Linkage for a Medical Bed (의료용 침대를 위한 평행 4절 링크의 개선)

  • The design and actual implementation of the four-bar parallel link was studied in the paper. The parallel four-section link is widely used as a basic kinematic mechanism for transmitting the rotation of one axis to the rotational motion of the other axis. However, the parallel 4 link has a problem that phase reversal occurs at the turning point during the movement. In order to prevent the link reversal, it is known that a double parallelogram-type link is formed by attaching an additional phase reversal suppression link with an offset. However, as a result of the actual fabrication experiment, the movement is not smooth at the transition point. In order to solve this problem, in this study, a link for smooth movement is added in addition to a link that provides an offset to prevent phase reversal, so that the phase reversal does not occur at a specific point when the driven shaft rotates along the drive shaft. The test result confirms the validity of our suggestion.

A Study on the Structure and Characteristics of the Utilization Support Systems(USS) to Aid the Use of Social Welfare Services in Japan's Social Welfare Systems (일본의 사회복지체제에 있어서 사회복지서비스에 대한 이용지원체제의 구조와 특징에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the structure and characteristics of the utilization support systems(USS), which has been institutionalized to aid the use of social welfare services in Japan's social welfare systems recently. In order to conduct such purposes, this paper made the process as follows. Firstly, this paper examined the developmental processes of social welfare systems, and the back ground of institutionalization of USS in Japan. Secondly, this paper formulated at ideal dimension the analytic model which was to explain the structure and characteristics of the USS. To build this model, this paper used two factors which were the connective dependency to the welfare support systems and the feasible-satisfying alternative setting for user. Thirdly, this paper analyzed the characteristics of the user-driven support facilities which has already activated in social welfare systems in Japan. According to the result of analyzing such model, this paper explained that USS in Japan has possessed the structure and characteristics, such as to aid self actualization and human right of user, to compose the inner coalition organization with supply systems, to emphasize the employee to train care management's skill, and to keep up bounded openness to USS's participation. Therefore, oligopoly market is formulated owing to bounded openness in the field of USS and the role of social worker such as a care manager is emphasized on making care plan.
