장애학생들이 생활하는 특수학교의 경우 화재 발생빈도는 낮지만, 장애인은 초기 대응능력과 피난능력이 현저히 부족하므로 화재 발생 시 막대한 인명피해를 초래할 수 있다. 장애인의 안전한 피난을 위해서는 초기 소화설비와 피난에 필요한 경보설비, 피난설비의 설치 및 운영 그리고 피난보조자의 역할과 책임이 중요하기 때문에 특수학교를 대상으로 하여 소방시설의 설치 및 운영, 피난보조자의 화재안전의식에 대해 조사하였다. 그 결과 Fail-safe 원칙에 따라 2방향 이상의 피난이 가능해야 하지만 6개교 중 5개교가 평상시 안전을 이유로 비상구에 자물쇠를 채워 통행이 불가능하였고, 특수학교 교사들 중 피난시 교사들의 역할분담에 대해 54.2%가 모르고 있었으며, 피난보조자에 대해서도 64.5%가 모른다고 답하였다. 또한 소화기와 옥내소화전을 실제 사용해 본적 있는 교사는 각각 32.2%, 7.9%로 조사되어 화재발생시 초기소화를 담당해야 하는 교사들의 소화설비의 사용 경험이 부족한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to find out the most effective evacuation alarm sound which is the one of the most important element of the evacuation guidance system as a fundamental mechanism to minimize the damages of a fire. In this regard, a survey was conducted against the firefighting officers and the general public with questions about the general awareness of fire and their preference to various kinds of fire alarm sounds. The result showed that 1) even though the awareness of the interviewees on fire was improving while there were in familiar places like homes or works. But, when they were situated in unfamiliar locations, the fire safety awareness could not be deemed to be strong. This in turn calls for the education of the public and improvement of the existing policies for the enhancement of the fire related safety awareness in unfamiliar environments. 2) For the question about the possible time they could survive in a fire or the time required for safe evacuation, it turned out that the interviewees were thinking of the time required for evacuation to be short, which calls for proper actions. 3) When the visibility in a fire situation is highly limited, the most preferred answer for the alarm sound was a female voice, saying "The emergency exit is this way," accompanies with flashing lights of sirens for the emergency evacuation guidance.

Users of passenger ships and cruise ships are rapidly increasing year by year, and the needs of the floating architecture are newly come out. But the studies about the passengers' safety and the countermeasures against incidents on board the ships are rare, although the ships' incidents are occurred averagely 15 cases per year during last 10 years. For the purposes of the analysis of the safety consciousness and gathering the some of input data for evacuation simulation for Korean passengers on board ships, this study performed surveys targeting ordinary 394 passengers who are not specially trained and/or accustomed with onboard living conditions. The results are the followings. The reliability on ships' safety is surveyed as 32.3%. Only 14.6% of respondents are aware that there were safety education on board ship during sailing. And 42.2% and 40.9% of respondents answered that they saw the map of emergency routes and knew where the life boats are, respectively. And 73.3% select crews' direct or in-direct(like announcement by indoor broadcasting system) guidances as the most effective evacuation method.

Through the use and development of underground spaces, subways have become a representative means of transportation in the city center. Due to the extension of subway lines and the increase in the number of subway users, there is a risk that safety for evacuating human lives in case of fire will not be secured. Therefore, this study tried to identify citizens' perceptions of evacuation facilities through questionnaires and find alternatives. An online survey of 115 subway passengers was conducted to learn about citizens' awareness of subway evacuation facilities. As a result of the survey, awareness of evacuation facilities was high in the order of guidance lights, life-saving devices, emergency lights and portable lights, special evacuation stairs, and evacuation stairs. In addition, the majority of the respondents said they were not well aware of evacuation facilities, and people's indifference was the most common cause. As a solution to the lack of awareness, responses to active advertising and promotion, education and experience activities were the highest.

As multiplex available premises become more complex and diversified due to increasing social and individual demands, the evacuation safety gradually deteriorates exhibiting functional difficulties even in ordinary fires. Considering the limitations of passive evacuation systems such as evacuation stairs and corridors, an evacuation facility must be designed, installed, and maintained the way that it remains fully functional and efficient when fire breaks out. This study tries to identify the issues of evacuation facilities and devise how to improve them by investigating the evacuation facility efficiencies of multiplex available premises and conducting a survey on fire safety attitude.

As more and more the number of a couple working together for living has increased and an interest in early education has risen, daycare centers have made an effort to provide effective and good service beyond 'nursery care'. The most important thing in building in the event of disasters is safe evacuation of occupants. Having 'safe evacuation route' is required to reduce damage caused by disasters, It is necessary to give continuous and repeated training for right evacuation to infant and children so that they can evacuation successfully. This study examined problems that need improvement so that evacuation instrument installed in daycare centers can be used better by analyzing a survey of evacuation related facilities on daycare centers. This study found that laws and regulations on safety should be improved, evacuation facilities prepared against should be maintained regularly by relevant authorities, training for coping with disasters should be provied and evacuation instruments which are suitable for children.

현대에는 건물이 대형화, 고층화되어짐에 따라 많은 재실자들을 수용함으로써 대형 재난의 잠재적인 가능성을 가지게 된다. 더욱이 건물의 미적인 면과 효율성이 강조됨에 따라 재난시 재실자의 대피에 영향을 주는 통로와 사무 시설 배치등과 같은 방과 건물구조의 용도 변경이 잦아지게 되었다. 그러나 안전적인 측면에서 특히 재실자의 대피는 피난 법규의 요구이외에는 설계시 특히 건물 내부의 용도 변경시 피난의 상황은 중요하게 고려되어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이에는 설계자나 건물 관리인에게 있어서 안전의 개념의식이 미비한 점도 있지만 대피시의 상황을 예측할 수 있는 효율적인 프로그램의 개발이 적절히 이루어지지 않았기 때문이라고 생각되어 진다. 이에 본 논문은 동일 건물 구조하에서 재실자들의 대피 상황을 프로그램을 통하여 미리 제시함으로서 설계 및 건물구조 변경시 건물 구조의 효율성과 안전성의 적절한 조화를 꾀하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 호텔 건축물은 현대적 기능요구에 따라 대규모화, 고급화, 복합용도화 될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 건물 이용자는 불특정 다수인으로 그 건물에 대한 정보가 부족하기 때문에 화재시 인명 피해가 우려된다, 그러므로 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 호텔 건축물에는 화재·피난안전상 유의하여야 할 사항에 대하여 체계적인 방화시설이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 첫째, 호텔의 이용실적조사, 화재관련통계 화재사례조사, 방화의식조사를 하였으며, 둘째, 호텔 건축물의 건축계획적인 사항을 검토하였으며, 셋째, 방재시설에 관한 법규정을 분석한 후 제안하였다. 이 연구의 목적은 화재시 인간 및 재산의 보호와 그 피해를 최소화할 수 있는 호텔공간을 건축하는데 기초적인 자료를 제시하는 것이다.

Recently, an apartment has been changed to be high and diverse. In addition, it has been popularized rapidly. The more number of residents are increased, the more danger of the fire is also increased. If residents are in the upper floor when a fire breaks out, they have much longer evacuation path than the usual. What is more, their condition becomes more unstable. so, riskiness of evacuation is very serious. We should set up environment of evacuation safely. Even though some evacuation system is set up , the dangerous situation is more likely to be occurred. Because it depend on the person. If the person in the building don't recognize that system, it's valueless. Therefore it's very important to understand residents' conciousness level which is related to flee for safety in the fire. In this study, we examine into residents' aware safety level by their residential type. And according to this data, let residents know how they escape from danger . As a result, they can get out of danger when a fire breaks out.
