Development of a Robotic Transplanter Using Machine Vision for Bedding Plants (기계시각을 이용한 육묘용 로봇 이식기의 개발)

  • This study was conducted to develop a robotic transplanter for bedding plants. The robotic transplanter consisted of machine vision system, manipulator attached with the specially designed gripper, and plug tray transfer system. Results of this study were as follows. 1. A machine vision system for a robotic transplanter was developed. The success rates of detecting empty cells and bad seedlings in 72-cell and 128-cell plug-trays for cucumber seedlings were 98.8% and 94.9% respectively. The success rates of identifying leaf orientation for 72- cell and 128-cell plug-trays were 93.5% and 91.0%, respectively. 2. A cartesian coordinate manipulator for a robotic transplanter with 3 degrees of freedom was constructed. The accuracy of position control was $\pm$ 1mm. 3. The robotic transplanter was tested with a shovel-type finger. Without considering leaf orientation, the success rates of transplanting healthy cucumber seedlings for 72-cell and 128-cell plug-trays were 95.5% and 94.5%, respectively. Considering leaf orientation, the success rates of transplanting healthy cucumber seedling in 72-cell and 128-cell plug-trays were 96.0% and 95.0%, respectively.

  • 유비쿼터스 지능형 공간에서 사용자의 개입 없이도 자율 실행하는 서비스 플러그 앤 플레이 시스템(Service Plug and Play System)은 기능적인 모델로서 총체적인 시스템의 협력 프로토콜 부재로 그 동시성 및 병렬성을 반영한 실행관리를 하기 어렵다. 이는 시스템을 구성하는 모듈로, 컨텍스트 수집기, 서비스 실행기, 공간관리기, 모바일 제어기 등이 UML의 시퀀스 다이어그램으로 모델링하여 각 기기의 기능과 실행흐름을 독립적으로 표현할 뿐, 기기간의 상호작용, 특히 병렬 및 동시 실행 알고리즘을 설계하고 검증하는 절차의 부재 때문이다. 본 논문에서, 각 기기의 실행 흐름 및 상호작용을 Petri Net을 이용하여 모델링함으로써, 시스템을 구성하는 각 디바이스의 상호작용 및 실행 흐름을 정의 하고 검증한다.

  • 소프트웨어 개발 기술은 컴포넌트의 재사용에 기반한 소프트웨어 개발 방법으로 발전하고 있다. 컴포넌트는 재사용 및 가변성을 족친시키며, 시스템의 전반적인 복잡도를 감소시켜 준다. 그러나 컴포넌트 조립정보는 디자인시점(design-time)에서 결정되고 특정 컴포넌트 모델과 컴포넌트 실행환경(Component Execution Environment)에 따라 소스코드에 반영되기 때문에, 시스템의 변경 관리 및 동적인 구성등의 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 장점을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 사용되고 있는 컴포넌트 컴포지션의 문제점을 제시하고, 이를 해결하기 위하여 컴포넌트 컴포지션시 필수적 정보들인 컴포넌트간의 상호작용, 컨텍스트 상의 종속성, 메시지 전달 및 호출상의 제약 조건 등의 기본 컴포지션 정도들을 표현하는 컴포지셔널 컨트랙트를 정의한다. 컴포지셔널 컨트랙트는 모든 정보를 컴포닌트 모델 및 환경에 의존적이지 않도록 XML 문서로 정의되므로, 각종 컴포지셔널 컨트랙트를 이용하여 컴포넌트 기술의 가장 큰 장점인 플러그-앤드-플레이(Plug-and-Play)방식의 지원 및 동적 바인딩, 동적 컴포넌트 컴포지션을 지원하는프레임워크를 제시한다.

  • 오늘날 차량은 고성능화 및 이용자의 편의를 증진시키기 위하여 다양한 전자장비가 탑재 되고 있다. 이러한 전자장비들을 효율적으로 제어하기 위하여 신뢰성이 입증된 CAN(controller Area Network)이 보편적으로 적용된다. 또한 수신만 가능한 노드(node)는 기존시스템에 추가가 가능하지만 송 수신을 항수 있는 노드를 추가 하는 경우에는 전체 시스템을 변경 시스템을 변경 시스템을 변경해야 하는 경우가 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 특징을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 CAN 코디네이터(Coordinator)라는 새로운 컴포넌트를 제안하고 이를 기반으로 긴급메시지에 대한 전송지연 개선 및 플러그 앤 플레이 기능을 가능케하는 새로운 CAN 프레임워크를 제안한다.

  • Small satellites can be used for various space research and scientific or educational purposes due to advantages in small size, low-cost, and rapid development. Small Satellites have many advantages of application to Responsive Space. Compared to traditional larger satellites, however, Small satellites have many constraints due to limitations in size. Therefore, it is difficult to expect high performance. To approach maximum capability with minimal size, weight, and cost, standard modular platform of Small satellites is necessary. Modularity supports plug-and-play architecture. The result is Small satellites that can be combined quickly and reliably using plug-and-play mechanisms. For communication between modules, standard bus interface is needed. Controller Area Network(CAN) protocol is considered optimum data bus for modular Small satellite. CAN can be applied to data communication with high reliability. Hence, design optimization and simplification can also be expected. For ease of assembly and integration, modular design can be considered. This paper proposes development method for standardized modular Small satellites, and describes design of data interface based on CAN and a method of testing for modularity.

A Sensor Plug&Play Platform for Smart phone Sensor Accessories (스마트폰 센서 액세서리를 위한 센서 플러그앤플레이 플랫폼)

  • Recently, it becomes usual that several sensor accessories are attached to the USB port of smart phones. In this paper, we propose a sensor accessory plug@play platform for easing the attachment of it to the usb port in a smart phone. Sensor developers make sensor modules which obey the standard of sensor interface and write the device driver of it using the standard APIs. The sensor application for the smart phone is made using the web app style. The device drivers and sensor web applications are stored in the sensor web server. When a user plugs the sensor module into the usb port, the device driver and sensor web are retrieved automatically from the server and it is played. We believe that our platform activates the development of sensor accessories for smart phones.

  • Simulation Based Acquisition(SBA) gains interest from the defense acquisition community. To accomplish SBA efficiently, M&S should be collaborately used in. This paper proposes PBA(PlugIn-Based Architecture) that is a common software development infrastructure and provides reuse mechanism with plugin components. PlugIns are reuse entity possible to plug-in-play statically and dynamically. This architecture supports stand alone simulation and HLA-compliant distributed simulation also.

  • IPv6 프리픽스를 자동으로 할당 받기 위한 메커니즘으로 IETF 워킹그룹을 중심으로 DHCPv6 프리픽스 옵션을 이용한 방식과, APD 기술을 이용한 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 고에서는 IPv6 네트워크 환경에서 라우터의 프리픽스 할당 및 플러그 앤 플레이 기능을 지원하는 DHCPv6 프리픽스 옵션을 이용한 기술을 중심으로 현재 표준화 동향 및 프로토콜 동작과정에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다.

  • Ubiquitous computer can be interfaced with many several peripheral devices for information acquisition. Users should be able to easily use these devices without considering when these devices were interfaced, how to use these devices, and interoperability issues (such as plug and play, the installation of device drivers, and so on). Further, computers and their users need an interface technology that provides five-senses information (the recognition and expressions of the user) such that multimodal interaction can be enabled. In this paper, we proposed an IEEE 1451 standard that uses a smart interface standard for interfacing devices with ubiquitous computer. IEEE 1451 describes the property information of a transducer in the transducer electronic data sheet (TEDS). Further, by using the TEDS format, the interoperability between devices can be enabled by means of the plug-and-play function; it also makes the inconvenient installations of device drivers unnecessary.

  • A study on common modular design based on open standards to reduce the life cycle cost of ground weapon system is underway. Since the ground weapon system includes major mission equipment such as fire control system, it is essential to apply the concept of fault tolerance through automatic reconfiguration and blocking unspecified equipment through connectivity control. However, it is difficult to generalize due to the difference in operating characteristics for each system. In this paper, we propose a plug-and-play framework, which includes plug-and-play architecture and mechanism. The proposed method can be used in common by the application of each component as it is divided into a common service layer. In addition, the proposed connectivity control and autonomous reconfiguration method facilitates reflection of operating characteristics for each system. We constructed a verification environment that can simulate ground weapon systems and components, and verified that the proposed framework works through scenario-based functional tests.
