  • This study intended to identify the relationship between textile print designs for local apparel, and fashion trends. This was achieved by extracting trend key words and analyzing apparel textiles. The fashion trends and print trends from the 2010S/S season to the 2013F/W season as projected by two trend forecasters, the Samsung Fashion Institute and First View Korea, were extracted for a comparative analysis. In terms of clothing patterns, a total of 1,582 print designs purchased by local apparel brands targeting women in their 20s and 30s from print design companies including Italy's NEWAGE, MyDesign and England's Pattern, were analyzed. After classifying the designs according to the trend key words which had been extracted, the demands by season, trend dependency, and design preferences were analyzed to produce the following results. The major key words for textile print designs from the 2010S/S season to the 2013F/W season were Check & Stripe, Flower, Geometric, Natural, Ethnic, and Graphical. Patterns corresponding to those design key words were more prominent in recent designs. Considering the trends by season, the designs presented in the F/W season were found to be more likely to correspond to the trend key words than those in the S/S season. A general preference for nature-inspired designs was also found in the local print market.

  • Discovered as designer of own ski loths by American potographer Toni Frissell, !n 1947; designed ski wear for Lord '||'&'||' Taylor store in New York follewing year. He opened a shop on Capri in 1949 and in 1950 he founded "Emilio", his couture house. His fortune was simple silk jersey chemises and very strong prints using bold colour in abstract patterns. A pucci print was immediately recognizable and, although often based on medieval heraldic banners of the sort waved at the "Siena Palio", so utterly of the moment that it could be taken as a classic symbol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was a brilliant colourist and his colours became the colours of the decade: hot pink, lime blue, purple. He seemed able to capture the sun and fun of Italy in his print and, along with Galitzine, he can take the credit for creating the concept of relaxed, informal elegance in Italian faslion.ian faslion.

  • This paper starts out with a review of the concepts of naturalism and natural clothes. Based on these concepts, the paper aims to create nature-friendly and high-value modem designs by grafting natural images from butterflies into human bodies. The images of butterflies are combined to show distinguished luxury and diversity with natural materials such as denim. As for the design technology, Adove Illustrator 10, Photoshop 7.0, and Prima Vision Textile Design System are used since they are very popular in the CAD system. The followings are the main findings of our research. Naturalism displays its objectivity based on its inherent interest in human nature and its factual description in scientific approaches with an intention to find a true meaning of human life in nature. Natural clothes can be defined as the clothes of natural silhouette which are made of pure materials in natural colors and dyes from natural motifs such as animals, plants or natural phenomena. We have realized that the visually distinguished looks of butterflies are indeed far more luxurious than those of any other insects and this visual distinction can be utilized to attract the attention from designers. Lastly, it turns out that the digital printing technique can create more variety in colors and design forms than the manual printing, thereby providing designers with more options and practicality.

  • The design for household sterilizer applying UV LED was studied. Based on UV LED sterilization distance and time data, the concept of home disinfectioner design was presented. Using technologies such as computer aided design software, 3D printing and laser cutting, etc., three different UV LED operating method models were produced. The final design was derived by conducting an analysis of the product's merits and demerits on the three plans from the result of each model.

  • The ability of 3D/4D printing technology to create arbitrary 3D structures provides a greater degree of freedom in the design of printed structures. This capability has influenced the field of electronics and biomedical applications by enabling the trends of device miniaturization, customization, and personalization. Here, the current state-of-the-art knowledge of 3D printed electronics and biomedical applications with the unique and unusual properties enabled by 3D/4D printing is reviewed. Specifically, the review encompasses emerging areas involving recyclable and degradable electronics, metamaterial-based pressure sensor, fully printed portable photodetector, biocompatible and high-strength teeth, bioinspired microneedle, and transformable tube array for 3D cell culture and histology.

  • This study is to review the printed cotton textile industry of Europe in 17th-l8th century, and specially investigate the development of the Toile do Jouy, printed French fabrics around the 18th century. Generally, the Toile de Jouy has two different meanings. The first meaning is the popular printed cotton textiles producted by wood block printing, copper plate printing and roller printing techniques at Jouy on Joas factory in France, around 18th century. The second meaning is the monochromatic upholstery fabrics printed by copper plate. Actually, this monochromatic printed textiles were the most popular printed cotton fabrics with large scale scenic designs with people, trees, birds, buildings, mythical heroes, protagonists of novel and country scenes of shepherds, sheep and other animals manufactured by Jouy on Joas factory. Main issue of this paper is to propose features of pattern, color and classify types of patterns expressed on the Toile de Jouy fabrics according to printing techniques such as wood block printing, copper plate printing and copper roller printing. And this study is also to analyze on origins of the variety of names called the printed cotton textiles in those days. The results of this study can help to understand the knowledge of printed cotton textiles in Europe and be effectively applied to develop printed fabric design in the textile industry.

  • This research focuses on similarity evaluation of images according to tones of images. Color space of images were converted RGB color space into HSI color space. The information entropy criteria has been taken for evaluating similarity of images for digital library. The similarity was then calculated by combining correlation coefficients and information entropy. Those two values are further analyzed with a relation to human sensibility.

  • In this study, document research on Jogakbo and Tosi were carried out and textile designs were developed by applying Jogakbo and Tosi together for motives. The purposes of this study were to develop a unique textile design, and then to enhance the competitiveness of Korean textile industry in the world market and pass down a Korean traditional fiber art cultural legacy. The results are as follows; First, the title of textile design was decided to "innocence of childhood" and the concepts are "sim ple heart ed, pure heart, sweet", in order to develop textile design for the young generation Second, Motives were chosen Jogakbo and Tosi to reflect Korean traditionality and identity and textile designs were expressed on ground fashion trends for modernity. Third, developed textile designs were printed with digital printing method for eco-friendly and productivity, and various articles clothing, nectie, shoes, bag, bedings were producted with developed fabrics for multipurpose. Forth, the developed textile designs were evaluated highly in point of Korean traditionality and identity, felling of simplehearted, pure hear and sweet, modernity and fashion trend, and preference by a sensory test of developed test design.

  • Interest in the exterior design of buildings has increased in recent years. Demand for various architectural structures is increasing. However, domestic form liner and design are still limited. Thus, this research uses 3D printers to omit the existing mold production process. Use digital data to produce products economically using various materials. It can be hoped that extending the lifespan of the concrete structure will reduce the cost of saving costs. The purpose of this study is to utilize the 3D printers to develop the design of a suitable formative shape for the purposes of the concrete. In this study, 3D printed form enables the possibility that the actual application is practical. Consideration for the artistic design of the art line was proposed for the purpose of considering the use of concrete structures for concrete structures.
