IETF 국산 암호기술의 국제표준화 동향

  • 암호기술은 IT기반 다양한 응용서비스에서 정보의 안전한 처리를 위한 프리미티브 기술로써, 다양한 보안제품에 적용되어 활용되고 있다. 다양한 보안제품에 암호기술이 활용되기 위해서는 제품간 호환성을 보장해 줄 수 있는 표준화가 반드시 필요하며, 주로 외국의 주요 장비 제조업체들을 중심으로 표준화가 이루어져 오고 있다. 최근 국내에서도 공공 행정기관 인터넷전화 장비에 국산 암호기술 적용여부가 이슈가 되어 국산 암호기술의 국제표준화에 대한 중요성도 날로 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국제 표준화단체인 IETF에서 추진되고 있는 국산 암호기술의 국제표준화 동향에 대해 살펴본다.

  • 세그먼트 패치(Segment Patch) 기반의 스테레오 매칭에 있어서, 매칭의 속도와 정확도는 세그먼트 패치를 생성하는 과정에 의존한다. 본 논문에서는 매칭 프리미티브로 사용되는 세그먼트 패치를 결정하는 과정으로 영상의 강도와 함께 인접 세그먼트 패치들 사이의 깊이를 고려하여 최적의 세그먼트 패치를 결정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그 결과 영상의 강도 변화가 작은 영역에서 뿐만 아니라 패치 매칭의 취약함으로 지적되었던 복잡한 영역에서도 좋은 결과를 보여 주었다.

  • Cabral과 Leedom이 처음 제시한 LIC(Line Integral Convolution)은 기존의 DDA 알고리즘에 기반한 회선 처리방식보다 우수한 것으로 인정받았고 과학적 시각화 분야에 많은 공헌을 하였다. 그리하여 이것을 기반으로 하는 많은 논문들이 나왔다. 우리는 본 논문에서 기존 LIC의 선 중심의 스트림 라인이 아니라 openGL의 기하 프리미티브인 쿼드 스트립을 이용한 어느 정도의 두께를 가진 스트림 라인을 생성하여 보다 새롭고 다양한 흐름의 시각화 기술을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Java crypto library such as SUN JCA/JCE or BC JCE is generally used to implement secure applications for smart devices using Android platform. Programming functions written by Java language are launched and executed inside Java Virtual Machine (JVM), thereby difficult to use system hardware specific functionalities and degrading performance as well. In case of crypto primitive, few secure applications can use crypto primitive executing in JVM because both amount of computing and complexity of such primitives are very high. From the aspect of performance, in particular, time sensitive real time applications such as streaming services or secure application frequently applying public key based crypto algorithm cannot use Java crypto library. To solve the problem, we design and implement crypto library which employ JNI and NDK methods to directly access functions that implemented by native language such as C or C++. The proposed Java Crypto provider supports faster execution. Also developer can use our provider in the same way by writing traditional Java crypto library.

  • A software interface called CGI-K including device driver routines and graphics primitives for the grphic board "K" was designed, implemented in the Design Automation Laboratory of KAIST and installed on IBM PC/AT, using assembly and C language supported by TMS 34010 grphics processor. Several algorithms generating the graphics primitives such as box, circle, pie chord are proposed. The drawing speed of CGI-K on the graphic board K was found out to be three to ten times faster than that of the EGA for several examples. A 2-D graphics editor called GRIM (graphics input and modification) and a 3-dimensional graphics renderer called IPCHE which can draw 3-D objects were developed as two major application programs running on CGI-K. The graphics primitives supported in GRIM include polygon, box, circle, and ace. The IPCHE receives a 3-D objects data file and displays the 3-D object on the screen with hidden surface removal, shading, and perspective scaling.

Hand Motion Design for Performance Enhancement of Vision Based Hand Signal Recognizer (영상기반의 안정적 수신호 인식기를 위한 손동작 패턴 설계 방법)

  • This paper proposes a language set of hand motions for enhancing the performance of vision-based hand signal recognizer. Based on the statistical analysis of the angular tendency of hand movements in sign language and the hand motions in practical use, we construct four motion primitives as building blocks for basic hand motions. By combining these motion primitives, we design a discernable 'fundamental hand motion set' toward increasing the hand signal recognition. To demonstrate the validity of proposed designing method, we develop a 'fundamental hand motion set' recognizer based on hidden Markov model (HMM). The recognition system showed 99.01% recognition rate on the proposed language set. This result validates that the proposed language set enhances discernaility among the hand motions such that the performance of hand signal recognizer is improved.

  • We propose Multiph which is a virtual topology for a reliable group communication platform on dynamic high speed network. We also define group communication primitives for transmission of messages and group management. Multiph consists of a set of nodes which are process groups and a set of edges which are the connection between nodes providing the route of messages. Processes can send and receive messages overlapped in a several multicast groups. Overlapped process organizes non-overlapped logical group, which called meta-group. Multiph guarantees ordering of messages that received at the destination group. It has no extra node that decreases system performance. Although the group has dynamic group change to leave and add process, it does not reconstruct the existing platform structure.

  • In this paper, we implemented and tested MPOA(MutiProtocol Over ATM) standardized in ATM Forum, which provides service for various layer 3 protocols as well as legacy LAN applications over ATM networks. The functions of MPCs(MPOA Clients) and MPSs(MPOA Servers) which are the components in MPOA systems are implemented. MPCs are located at the edge device and MPOA hosts and MPSs exist in routers. The implemented MPCs have the functions such as exchances of primitives between an LEC(LAN Emulation Client) and an MPC, management and maintenance of Egress/Ingress cache, default transmission through LECs and shortcut transmission. Assuming that routing, convergence and NHRP(Next Hop Resolution Protocol) functions exist in routers, the implemented MPSs have the functions such as exchanges of primitives between an LEC and an MPC, conversion and exchanges of frames between MPOA and NHRP, and management and maintenance of Egress/Ingress cache. All of the possible scenarios are made up to test whether they run correctly. The implemented system is tested by simulation according to the scenarios.

  • 본 논문에서는 질의화상을 위한 칼라의 위치묘사 키워드와 칼라 키워드를 칼라특징으로 매핑하여 검색할 수 있는 내용기반 화상 검색 방법을 제안하고 이를 구현하였다. 칼라 키워드는 화상의 칼라 특징을 사용하여 칼라 세그먼트 프리미티브로부터 정의되고, 위치 묘사 키워드는 칼라 영역 정보를 사용하여 위치 세그먼트 프리미티브로부터 정의된다. 정의된 각 칼라 키워드 프리미티브는 화상의 칼라특징으로 매핑되어 저장된 참조화상의 6x6 블록의 칼라 특징과 비교하게 되고 유사도 순치 묘사 키워드와 칼라 키워드 검색의 정확도를 측정하였고, 화상검색 실험결과, 평균 recall/precision이 0.72/0.80를 보임으로써 내용기반 화상 데이터 검색에 제안된 방법이 유용함을 보였다.
