Our study examines the relationship between coach turnover and professional sport team performance using the evidences of Korean professional soccer teams. We collected panel dataset of 304 team-year observations and 96 coaches from Korean professional soccer league during the period of 1983-2013. Among them, our final sample is comprised of 226 observations and 81 coaches manifested for fixed-effect generalized least square (GLS) regression analysis. Drawing on sport management literatures and organizational learning theory, we argue that it takes time for a new head coach to take charge of the team in which the new leader who secure more time to interact with organization members is better able to remodel and improve team performance. Our empirical findings reveal that off-season coach turnover has a positive impact while turnover during the season has its negative influences on team performance. In addition, we find that subsequent team performance in association of off-season coach turnover is comparably better than that of on-season succession. The results show that coach succession rendered from inside the professional soccer team mediates the relationship between coach turnover and team performance. Our findings imply that coach turnover in professional sport teams is a significant factor affecting team performance.

Nowadays the soccer becomes one of the best spot lighting sports in the world Especially the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup was deeply impressed on all the korean. One goal of illuminating engineering should be the design of lighting system that can provide consistently high task visibility regardless of where a task might be located within a working space. The television broadcasting on the soccer has been an important role in the media. The standard of FIFA(The Federation Internationale do Football Association) requires recommended illuminance levels for artificial lighting for a player, an audience, TV broadcasting, as well as everybody in the stadium. This paper has proposed an algerian to select the suboptimal lighting tower position for watching and TV broadcasting a soccer game within a pleasant environment and an optimum illuminance distribution. The position using the software Philip's Calculux was chosen based an the calculations of a horizontal illuminance, vertical illuminance, uniformity, glare, and so on by changing lighting tower positions.

멀티미디어 정보의 보다 효율적인 검색을 위해서는 비디오 요약정보의 생성 및 색인 작업이 필요하며, 이러한 요약정보를 만들기 위해서는 많은 시간과 비용이 소요된다. 스포츠 비디오 프로그램의 요약정보를 만들 때 오디오 신호를 이용하여 주요 장면을 검출할 경우 이러한 시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 축구경기 비디오에서 주요장면을 나타내는 핵심 사운드로 주심의 호르라기 소리 및 아나운서의 "슛" 음성을 정의하고 이를 오디오 신호에서 검출하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다.

A rule based controller is constructed for multiple robots accomplishing a given task in unknown environments by using genetic programming. The example task is playing a simplified soccer game, and the controller for robots that governs emergent cooperative behavior is successfully found using the proposed procedure A neural network controller constructed using the rule based controller is shown to be applicable in a more complex environment.

In this paper we analyse the distributions of the number of goals scored by home teams and away teams in K-league soccer outcomes between 1983 and 2012. Real soccer data is explained in K-league using statistical distributions such that Poisson, negative binomial, extreme value and zero inflated Poisson. How close the goals of home and away fits the different distributions are tested by performing chi-square goodness of fit tests. According to these tests, the Poisson distribution gives the best fit to the home goals data. But it is best to model the away goals data on zero inflated Poisson distribution. Also, there is some weak evidence of the dependence for home and away goals.

This research is to examine the effect of specific Sports On-line membership characteristics on Customer loyalty, the role of the important concept of the three degree of commitment(Continuance commitment, Normative commitment, Affective commitment) in relation marketing. First, discover whether professional team's customer loyalty is influenced by Sports on-line membership through the three degrees of commitment, which is an important parameter in customer relation. Second, find out the effect of currently used online membership characteristics of an off-line company on the three degrees of commitment. To achieve this aim our research team carried out an empirical study by creating an experimental hypothesis and model. The research was conducted by an online survey by 211 supporters of professional football teams. Out of the total 23 were judged untrustworthy by double answers, the empirical study was drawn out from the remaining 188. The empirical study was done by statistical analysis programs SPSS 10.0 and AMOS 4.0. The conclusion of this research is that specific characteristics of Sports on-line membership, Continuance commitment, Normative commitment, Affective commitment plays an important role as a medium in Customer loyalty.

이 사례연구는 2002년 10월 15일 칼에 의한 좌상으로 경추 3-4번의 불완전 척수손상을 입은 25세의 남자 환자가 최초 병원에서 2002년 12월 한달 간의 치료를 마친 후, 2003년 1월 3일부터 4월 28일까지 태릉에 위치한 N 재활센터에서 주 5회 2시간의 자세조절 훈련, 심폐지구력 훈련, 웨이트 훈련, 스포츠(축구, 소프트 볼), 여가활동(등산)의 프로그램을 적용하여 척추손상 환자의 사회적응을 돕기위한 재활 프로그램의 다양화를 꾀하기 위한 기초 선행 작업으로 시작되었다. 신체능력을 평가하기 위한 측정도구는 관절가동범위(Range of Motion), 수동근력검사(Muscle Manual Test), 경직(Spasticity), 신체체력(Physical Fitness), 발란스(Balance: one leg stand), 상대적인 등속성 하지근력(Isokinetic Muscle Strength) 그리고 신체조성(Body Composition)로 하였다. 재활기간을 통해 처음 시작 일자에서 45일 간격으로 3차례의 측정을(1월 3일부터 4월 28일까지 실시하였다) 실시하였다. 최초 환자의 상태는 부분적으로 일상생활의 도움을 받아야 하는 상태로 동작을 시작하려 할 때 경직이 발생되어 옷을 입고 벗기, 신발 신고 벗기, 운전, 식사, 보행과 계단보행, 경사보행에서 보조자의 도움이 필요했으며, 작은 물건 잡기와 글씨쓰기, 타이핑 작업은 불가능 한 상태였다. 또한 스포츠 활동과 여가활동 역시 불가능 한 상태였다. 3달 15일간의 기간 동안 환자는 복학을 준비하기 위해 적극적으로 치료에 임했으며, 결과는 다음과 같았다. 신체조성은 재활 훈련을 통해 체중, 체지방율(%), 복부지방율(WHR)의 많은 감소를 가져왔다. 경직을 측정하는 Ashworth Scale은 정상에 가깝게 감소하였다. 관절가동범위는 고관절, 무릎, 발목에서 모두 증가하였다. 수동근력검사(0-9)는 많은 향상을 가져왔다. 신체체력능력 항목에서 근지구력의 윗몸일으키기와 팔굽히기, 악근력, 유연성으로 앉아 체간 숙이기, 민첩성으로 사이드 스텝, 순발력의 서전트는 모두 크게 향상되었다. 환자의 일상능력에서도 옷을 입고 벗기, 신발 신고 벗기, 운전, 식사, 보행과 계단보행, 경사보행에서 보조자의 도움이 필요없었으며, 타이핑 작업은 5손가락을 모두 사용하지는 않았지만, 1분에 80타로 큰 향상을 가져왔다. 또한 축구와 소프트볼, 등산을 달에 1회 정도 실시하여 약간의 도움만으로 가능하게 되었다.

Purpose: This study was performed to analyze the mechanism and type of knee injury during soccer game and to evaluate the functional recovery after treatment. Materials and Methods: From October 2002 to January 2005, 49 patients were treated surgically. Mean age was 28.8 (8-36) years old, mean follow-up duration was 14.9 (8-36) months. Injury was evaluated by physical examination, radiography, and arthroscopic finding. Clinical results were evaluated with Lysholm score and Tegner activity score. Results: According to classification of the ligament injury, the incidence of single ACL injury was the most frequent and 27 cases. Injuries took place, in 2nd half of the games, and in the winter. Among the mechanism of injury, turn & twisting was 20 cases and the most frequent. The preoperative Lysholm score, Tegner activity score were 45, 2 and those of last follow-up were 87.6, 6, respectively. Conclusion: The recovery of Lysholm and Tegner activity score were good, but the sports activity was clearly decreased alter injury. It was suggested that appropriate physical & psychological rehabilitation and education were inevitable.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of food corporations'sponsorship activities on Brand Images and Purchase Intension in professional sport industry in Korea. To accomplish the purpose, SPSS 18.0 Ver., had been conducted with 263 actual returned questionnaires. After the relevant literature reviews and analysis statistic data, three outcomes were deducted, those are, first, sponsorship factors for food corporations in professional sport industry significantly influenced on brand image. Second, Sponsorship factors for food corporations in professional sport industry significantly influenced on the purchase intension. Third, brand image of food corporation in professional sport industry significantly influenced on purchase intention. With this study, undiscovered several marketing strategies of food corporations with professional sport of Korea for their future marketing strategies could be discussed and proposed.

This study investigated the effect of small-world structure in team processes on team performance. I discussed the theoretical relationship between small-world structure in team processes and team performance and analyzed the relationship using pass data of soccer teams. I constructed the 128 pass networks from the pass data of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and then measured the structural features indicating small-world structure of the networks. Correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed in order to examine the strength and direction of the relationship. According to the results, the clustering has an exponential relationship with team performance and the connectivity has a log-function relationship with team performance. Finally, I found the positive effect of small-world structure in team processes on team performance. Through theoretical discussion and empirical analysis, this study found that small-world structure in team processes increase team performance by facilitating task coordination and collaboration between team members.
